When I try to upload to Oculus I get the message:**************************************************************** Your copy of Oculus Platform Command Line Utility is old. ** Version 1.37.0.000001 has been released on Wed Oct 09 2019. ** Please use the following command to update it: ** > C:\Windows\ovr-platform-util.exe self-update ****************************************************************But when I run:C:\Windows\ovr-platform-util.exe self-updateI get:Checking for the latest versionAlready running the latest version 1.38.0.000001
I had a problem where I would try to upload and it would just load indefinitely. Was stuck on this for a week and tried multiple different things which did nothing. I even uninstalled and reinstalled ODH and nothing. For the past 3 days now what I get is when i try to upload it gives me an error message saying"the build you are trying to upload has failed spawn UNKNOWN". Is there an easy way to fix either of these?
We can't upload a build to the store because we receive "A server error occurred" with the ovr-platform-util command line. There's no additional information other than a message to perform a self-update, even though it reports the version is up to date. Is there any quality control for this product? I hope you're not taking the Intel Realsense path because we're investing time to develop for it, and the experience has been highly frustrating. Product quality concerns aside, we need to know what the solution is? 1) The Oculus Developer Hub doesn't seem to have a way of uploading APK files to the AppStore 2) The developer dashboard tells me web uploading is disabled, then gives me an example command-line for a Rift app, not APK. But I figured out the command-line syntax with no help from the oculus support website. 3) Locating the app id and app secret are impossible to find on the Oculus developer dashboard because they only get displayed when an APK has been uploade
Hi everyone, Today we launched an update to the Oculus developer site and documentation. You can read more about it in the blog post. The team hopes the new site will be fast, easier to navigate, and generally a beautiful experience. We want to hear from YOU about the new experience. What do you like? What could we improve? We'll continue to improve the site over time as we strive to improve the development experience. Cheers!
Hello, When I try to upload a build through Oculus Developer Hub it just stays uploading infinitely. The upload loading bar starts and animates, but it doesn't go past that. Has anybody had a similar issue, and have any advice?
Hello. Hey. Is there any way to get the pointer from the "Move" app directly overhead? Even further up than it is now (like to the north pole).
30.0 does not crash, but some of the counter values look wrong. 30.8 crashes to desktop after sampling the counters for me though. Wondering if this is a known issue, or if there's a workaround/better version? Thank you!
I have been trying to retrieve the username but I can't get anything to work. Here's the program below. It retrieves the user's OculusID and sets a variable that is synced on the network. When this is run, it returns as a null reference exception. Users.GetLoggedInUser().OnComplete((Message<User> uMsg) => { if (uMsg.IsError) { Debug.LogError("Platform: GetLoggedInUser() failed. Reason: " + uMsg.GetError().Message); return; // no need to go any further if local user can't be determined } else { // success, process user structure we receive in uMsg.Data newClientClass.nickName = uMsg.Data.OculusID; } }); I cannot find any example code or documentation on how to properly implement this.
I have installed ODH 1.6 but when I try to open it, it just shows a blank window. No opportunity to login or do anything. Running the Oculus software for windows shows that my Quest 2 is connected over USB 3 and working correctly. I've tried re-installing ODH, running it as administrator with no luck. Am I missing some piece of software or is there any log I can examine to give me some clue as to the problem?
Good day!Is it possible to increase resolution in "Cast" ODH? Try to use scrcpy +sndcpy, but sndcpy constantly crash

Am I missing some piece of software or what? I am on Windows 10 and have tried to get this to work for a while now someone please help.

I'm a new developer within FB, and I can't use our own internal tooling because I cannot change my Oculus account password. I connected my Facebook account to my Oculus account. Now I use Facebook credentials to log into my Oculus account. I cannot log into my Oculus account using tools that require the Oculus password, and there is no way to change the Oculus password (the PIN does not act as a substitute). Example: This is a blocking issue. I can't submit builds without this getting resolved.
I just installed latest version of Oculus Developer Hub (Version2.1).When I run it, I just get a blank white window and I can't do anything with it.I use it with Macbook Pro M1. I could use this app few months ago.
I use macOS Montery (Chip: Apple M1) and Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) 2.1. But when I open the app it hangs on a white blank window. Rebooting the system, reinstalling does not change that. A work around is to remove version 2.1 and download and install the earlier 2.0 version. Then everything works again. Hopefully they can fix this.
I just had an issue caused by confusion regarding buying a game and realizing after that there is a different version to play stand alone and a different version to play linked to a PC. I suggest 2 labels for the store (PC) and (SA) for stand alone, to make it more clear what version of the game i am purchasing, these labels should be right next to the tittle. Also i believe during the set up tutorial there needs to be a purchasing product tutorial that explains what these labels mean and what they mean for the customer. I'm sure im not the first person to buy the wrong version then causing the developer more money by having to contant support and submitting refund request. Furthermore, a way to cancel a refund request once you have applied for it in case you change your mind on a game you asked for a refund but then decide you dont want the refund and rather keep the game. Currently this happaned to me and now i must wait for the refund then re purchase the game a
it ask me to connect the device to ODH. But if I can open this window, and it says ACTIVE, it means it is connected to ODH, right ?
Today, I was using odh while testing the build file.I found this error when I was not using odh for other tasks and turned it on again.I deleted the program and tried to reinstall it, but the same error came out.I tried to install it in the top version(2.0.0), but it was the same.
In the bug report for the problem with Developer Mode on the Quest (https://developer.oculus.com/status/) there is a work-around that tells us to use ODH. Can someone please explain where this option is? I have ODH, my device is connected and I see a lot of options, but not enable developer mode. I have a Quest 1 and fortunately for me developer mode is still working (I can see that there is a firmware update for my headset, but I will not install that for now), but I am supervising a couple of students that use Quest 2 and they can not progress with their work.
I just installed latest version of Oculus Developer Hub because the guy in the connect video was raving about. When I run it, I just get a blank white window. I am running Windows 7 Pro. Do I need Windows 10 or something?
EDIT 10/29: We announced a new version of cloud storage called Cloud Backup which will release later this year. Please see our announcement blog post and our FAQ. More documentation will be shared closer to the feature's release. We recommend all developers not use the Oculus platform’s current Cloud Storage service (v2) as it is causing some applications to not launch. If you are using Cloud Storage v2, you can disable it in the Developer Dashboard. Steps to Disable:Go to Platform Services and click the “View” button on the “Cloud Storage" tile. In the “Key Value Storage” tab, click ‘Clear All’ if needed. In the “File Storage” tab, click “Disable File Storage V2”, then “Disable”.You’ll know you’ve successfully disabled Cloud Storage if, in the Platform Services page, the Cloud Services tile now has an “Add Service” button. Thank you!
Hello! My Quest 2 is not working anymore. When I go on oculus app, it says "Cannot find headset." even though it is plugged in. I put it in the right USB spot I did everything right but it just, stopped working. I tried EVERYTHING to fix it, but it seems like nothing ever works. I even tried to ask for help here from my friend, who made an account to help me fix it, but IT NEVER WORKS. I tried all the methods and all the things that can fix it, nothing ever works. Please reply to me, I really want to use my oculus link!! ☹️
As per title: I was playing a bit with the parameters, so to configure it at best, and when I increased the Pitch past about 25 (I think), the whole OSD disappeared, and I couldn't bring it back, no matter what I did.I tried disabling, re-enabling, changing again all the parameters... it was simply gone for good. The only thing that worked was uninstalling and reinstalling the tool.
Hello, Starting three weeks ago, I've been unable to turn on/off the proximity sensor on my Quest 2 through the ODH "My Device" page; I was able to operate the switch before, but one day it stopped working altogether, completely out of the blue. The Proximity Sensor switch gets stuck like this. Short of a factory reset, what else can I do? Is there a shell command I can use to reset the status?Btw, the proximity sensor is on in the headset, but I need to turn it off.
ODH stopped recording video off of my Quest today, and since ODH only displays this: I have tried restarting the Quest, my PC, and reinstalled ODH all to no avail. The screenshot and cast still work as expected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
