What volume level works best, and do you use any apps or something to improve the sound coming from the pc,Sound cards?? etc.Thanks. What is the bass like?i just bought a set.
So here's something that occurred to me, wouldn't it be nice to have video reviews of VR games that we could actually see in VR? I looked around and found all sorts of ways to capture VR gameplay for viewing on a normal monitor but absolutely nothing that would allow for viewing it in the original VR format. I don't think a full 360x360 degree recording is needed, just the ability to see what the person recorded saw and ignore viewer head tracking. Does any such thing exist? If yes, where would one even host such a video? I've never noticed such a feature on Youtube. Come to think of it, would it even be a normal video format?
I noticed stores have Vive's in them but no Oculus.I suspect Vive is going to take over unless they team up with Steam or something. And, that would be a shame. I suspect their next model will be very good.. I prefer Oculus and always will, but they have the investment to make and improve more than Oculus? As well as a better media campaign to sell their product?
Hi All,I went to the local carnival called the Ekka.I seen someone showing off the Oculus. It was powered by a laptop and had 2 sensors. Had touch as well.Wow, didnt think that was possible on a laptop. Anyone laptop it?
Anyone going AMD ??
What's the difference between a cat and a frog? A Cat has nine lives but a Frog croaks every night!
I was one of the many that were disappointed to hear nothing about the future of VR or cross compatibility (as rumours suggested) with the upcoming Xbox One X. Sure, I have my Oculus Rift for VR and I love using it. I'm not looking to substitute my PC for my console or vice versa as I'll always have a need for both. But my thoughts were that while Phil Spencer confirmed that the One X's hardware is fully compatible with VR he just didn't feel the interest was fully there yet. Now should they change their mind on this, do we think that they will need to offer their own hardware for this? Or do we think there would actually be a way to utilise existing Rifts and Vives?I guess my thought process was IF we were able to piggy back existing VR hardware.. could it be implemented as simply as say using the Xbox streaming app for with Rift, and then from the console or game options toggle a "VR" setting to send two images to our headsets then just stream in VR? Maybe that logic is too easy and m
I've thought about the main drawback of Rift (for me anyway) is that annoying cable reaching to the back of my PC. Sure, I know I can get an extension cable but like the Gear VR it would great to consider that one day we won't need to be hardwired in.I assume the limitations currently would be powering the headset.. needing a power built-in GPU etc. But wondering if there would ever be a way to just stream it wireless like a form of wireless HDMI? Or would latency then become the big drawback?Where else do we envision Oculus Rift CV2, CV3 and so on heading?
My knob is regular and I'm happy with it, but apparently some people are paying to have a klove knob. Sheesh, young 'uns today!http://theklove.com/knob/
Well I finally got my Oculus Rift going... had some problems... instructions to set up should be included with the items... for one I couldn't get the touch controls paired, why? because it needed the batteries, and then to figure out how to open the gadget to install the batteries, they don't tell you that... anyways I got it going finally, and I'm amazed, it's an awesome experience... I loved it.. invested a little over two grand, but I think it was worth it... now back to play some more...
I've been using a 32" as my primary monitor and used to have a 27" as a secondary. The secondary died, so now I'm thinking a 34" widescreen with a slight curve would be perfect for my setup. Essentially I want the vertical dimensions of the two monitors to be pretty much identical with the curved one being wider (of course). I don't play many FPS games anymore so it's more for games like Diablo or whatever killer MMO comes next. I'm pretty sensitive to screen tearing so I'd love a low refresh. I'm also very picky with image and colour quality, so I'm willing to pay a decent amount if it gets me a great product.
Friendly comment: Would not be a beatiful gesture for those who have been wating more than two weeks buying a product (and still waiting) giving some present to them?. Obviously, I do not want it sounds like command (nothing farest than I want meaning). It would be a good detail in this situation.
Who thinks it would be a cool idea to have a VR title set up in the Highlander universe where you are an immortal like duncan and connor macleod?
Trying out the Sansar world and I can't get viewer to recognise my Rift DK2. anybody else?

Dear Oculs Marketing Team,I have been working with virtual reality for allmost 5 years with both Oculus and Vive. On the basis of my experiences, Oculus is by far my preferred VR technology and I am interested in knowing wether there is a chance to create an Oculus Official Point in Rome - Italy, where I live.I am writing here because I did not found any official Oculus contact in my city and in Italy.I already have enouogh space to create a VR experience for the audience and let them know the potential of the machine.A response would be hihgly appreciated. Can anyone tell me the right contacts to write to?RegardsMichele
I just picked up an Alienware 17 R4 with the 1070 card and the QHD 120hrz gysnc display. All I can say is DAMN! This laptop is a monster! I was able to get a 10 with the SteamVR performace tool. I still have to try this thing out with The Climb, but so far nothing else even gets noticed. The only downside is there are only 2x USB 3.0 ports, but there are 2 USB-C ports, one of which is Thunderbolt 3 compatible. I have a powered Thunderbolt 3 4 way USB 3.0 splitter on its way to try out. Anyway, now it is much easier to bring the rift and touch to other places for more people to try out!
So E3 they announced Skyrim and Doom VFR on PSVR. Since PSVR is Oculus, do you think after a short time it will come to the Rift just like Batman and the other games did?
I noticed on a thread you had a 980 gtx that you upgraded to a 1080. I also have the 980 gtxI play many different types of vr including games. From your experience from 1-10 how much of an overall experience improvement do you think I will see. Do u think its worth the investment. I Appreciate any feedback
Hi there, just stopping by to tell you if you plan to order a summer sale Rift in german stores like Media Markt or Saturn, you are likely to get a Rift with XBox Controller for 449,- €, instead of the Rift + Touch bundle. Those stores just dropped the price on their "Xbox" Rif-Budles to be equal to the summer sale price with touch, it´s easy to fall for that if you order that on the stores websites. So look twice and beware!
I can't seem to find any source of support other than the Support sub-forum. The problem with this is that it's been days since I've posted my question, but it still hasn't been approved and it still hasn't shown up. Is there a number I could call or someone I could email? I must say, the support options are quite bad.
