I have an idea to start a project that would utilize a lotof data mining from multiple websites. Think of it the same way as pulling carinsurance quotes from a 3rd party vendor site, where they’reactually just a middle man quoting you from larger companies such asProgressive or Geiko. You enter your information in 1 time, and pull valuesfrom multiple sites based on the search criteria. This is similar to my idea inthe way that a user would enter their search criteria in 1 application, andwould have results from multiple websites on 1 screen. Each of the sites we’ll be pulling information from wouldindividually have basic authentication The facts: There isn’t anything like this available yet. I’veresearched heavily This is an extremely conservative 2.9 Trillion dollarindustry in the USA alone This could potentially be used world wide I’d want to develop an executable application that would runas a host on a customer provided server and could potentially support cli
I am a game developer, that also spends a bit to much time inside of the Rift!Just wanted to offer a few free keys for my game Rogue Harvest if anyone is interested - if you use one please post which key you used so others know it is no longer available. You can check the game out here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/409490Rogue Harvest is not a VR game, but I wanted to give something to this community - hope you enjoy!0QQXE-4DFIJ-9X7NC0WRDK-G2L7T-JCKQGANZ87-D3LFJ-9ZQ9FRKY3G-K7NV6-RCBEJQLEHB-T5YCR-30MFE6YAQ4-PJMPV-5XQERQET0F-GK8Z7-BB259F5E2I-HAFHC-D6LZI
I never had dreams about being in VR until I got the Gear VR. Once I got the CV1, dreaming I'm in VR became more frequent. One time I actually fell asleep with my headset on and had a dream I was in VR. Imagine how I felt when I actually woke up and still had the headset on. I'm sure reading Ready Player One and watching Sword Art Online contributed to my dreams.Anyone else having dreams about being in VR?
my panasonic plasma tv th-P60UT50A has a problem.it is a 3d tv and thats what i loved about it cause when i used the 3d on it 3 years ago it was awesome. the videos poped out of the screen and u felt like u could touch it. now when i try it the 3d stays in the tv doesnt pop out and in sbs videos it even hurts my eyes..i dont even know if im using the right glasses with it that came with the tv. the glasses model no is ty-er3d4ma can u confirm that this is the right glasses. if these were the right glasses then is it the batteries that affect the 3d. cause i changed the batteries to something not panasonic in the glasses. do i need panasonic batteries for the glasses is that y the 3d isnt so good anymore?
Hello, my name is Alexander Wikstrom and i just now woke up at 10:00 am on a Monday, September 5, 2016. And i Just had an idea from a dream that i had. i was trying to contact some one from this company but i could not find anything accept what I'm doing now. Without any further staling i shall tell you my idea. Imagine for moment you are someplace like Disney Land and you see a GPSVR on a sign, and so you go to it and you discover its a Global Positioning System with Virtual Reality using Oculas (if i spelled that right). Then you go in for a try and they put the glasses on you with out a game station to plug into. All it is, is when you look through the glasses you see our normal world (physical world), But when you turn it on, it has a GPS built in positioning where you are a where a 3D person or caricature is. so you walk around in this pre built physical world doing quests for the goblin that sits there, or how about the dwarf with the ax that try's to dual you. if
Hi I'm Himi, I've been brainstorming possible ideas that are possible to accomplish in a business sense using Occulus rift.I currently Work at Microsoft Technology Center trying to gain knowledge on the possibilities so feel free to inform or suggest ideas about anything occulus that doesn't involve gaming. Couple Ideas I had already:-Retail (helping shoppers)-Interior design-Flight simulations
Oculus -I have this idea of creating a 2-in-1 single use vrgamecare pack, that cleans my Rift but also cleans my face after use. In addition to offering a hygiene product, the packaging could serve as marketing surface for game or product promotion. I have a lot more ideas on what we could do with this and would be very interested in chatted with someone in business development. Can we collaborate and make this a branded Oculus product? Thanks - redactedredacted NYC
Hello all! I'll get right to the chase. We are a group of students who want to have access to an Oculus Rift to complete a research paper & research project on VR.Our idea is to assimilate VR into MODIHC(Model for Designing the Human Computer Interaction) and develop a virtual campus that people can download on the homepage to learn about the campus before enrolling/visiting/etc.We're from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus, UPRM for short. Our team consists of three members: Joseph Gonzalez, Peggy Gonzalez, and Alfredo Pomales III. Since we saw a tab for Research on the Oculus Homepage we decided to see if maybe we can reach some sort of collaboration. We do not, unfortunately, have the means (financially) to purchase an Oculus Rift. We have the time, knowledge of Unity and Unreal Engine, and the community to produce a paper/project of the utmost quality. What we still do not have is the actual device. If anybody knows of any help/programs/etc. or contacts that we migh
Would somebody please flatten out that rug??? :D
You know, like hands out in front of you, pantomiming holding a wheel?I ask, because like most of us I am definitely getting Touch when available, and I'm interested in games like Project Cars and DiRT and whatever other cool driving games come out, buuuuuut I'm not sure I have an adequate space to set up a proper racewheel peripheral (or if I want to invest that kind of money in something I'll only use for a few games).Plus, I could imagine games where you'd both use a wheel AND occasionally want a hand free to manipulate other things. Like a combat driving or GTA-style game where you could fire a handgun out the window while you drive, or a Kart Racer where you'd use Touch to aim / throw items. Using touch to activate buttons on a vehicle dashboard or grab the stick-shift / e-brake could be cool, too.I'm imagining a system like.. you put your hands close enough to the wheel and press in one of the grip buttons to hold on, and then the nearest part of the wheel
I am sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it and need more answers, please. I have developed for the DK2 and use Unity 5 Pro for developing my apps. What do I need know and what downloads / installs will I need (Oculus and Unity3D 5) to be able to turn out apps that are compatible for the commercial version please?
Does it matter in what order I change the drivers? For example should I remove the amd drivers first, reverting back to integrated gpu > pull old gpu > put in new one > install the latest drivers for the gtx; in that order, or does it even matter? May be a bit of a stupid question, but I'm curious.
You probably know that the GTX 1060 released today. The benchmarks look good--pretty well on par with the GTX 980 for most games, plus more VRAM and Pascal features like simultaneous multi-projection. Priced at $250-$300 USD, this seems like a great budget card for 1080p and VR gaming.I've got a 1080 SC in my main gaming rig, but I'm considering a 1060 for my little HTPC in my livingroom. I had originally planned to move my 980 SC to this PC when I got the 1080, but in the end I sold the 980 while I could get a decent price for it.This PC is built in a small mini-ITX case that sits in my under-TV cabinet, so lower power/heat is a consideration, and a blower-style cooler is necessary to avoid overheating the whole PC. Plus it's only driving a 1080p TV, so this card looks like a better overall choice than the 980 SC, and perfectly adequate for the use it gets rather than going for a 1070. I might occasionally drag my Rift downstairs and plug it into this PC once Touch comes out, for game
I know you can have half a game on one screen and the other half of the game on the other screen but wouldn't it be better to just get a 40 plus inch monitor/television ? what are some other things you can do with multiple monitors?
I'm a massage therapist for hospice and have a 93-year-old patient that has been bedridden for many years. She doesn't have much longer and I was thinking that if she could experience surfing (something she misses doing the most) one more time that would be awesome. Does anyone know of Oculus being used for this purpose? I personally can't afford to set up my hospice organizations with this but maybe there is a donation body that could help me with this?
We are looking for an EEG data-set for motor imagery (in standard formats like .edf or .mat) , which has been collected using emotiv and successfully used for training a model . ( i.e data along with the events ) . Could you please provide such a data set and if possible link to a paper that has used this dataset.

Bringing the excitement of the Olympic Games reality intoVirtual Reality – I was excited to try out this new ‘Olympics VR 2016 game’.Itwas much shorter than I expected so although it lacks longevity, the developerclearly captured the realism of this year’s Olympics very well indeed! You play as it follows the story of ‘Ivan’, a RussianOlympic Decathlete. Ivan is the main and only character you can take control of asyou compete in 10 well known Olympic events. The title scenes were awesome as it shows events such as Running,Javelin, pole-vault and long jump to name only but a few. After much anticipation and build up, I was a little disappointedat first to find that just as the game was about to start... I was presentedwith a message stating that I had unfortunately been banned from competing in this years Games dueto steroid abuse, and then the game suddenly was over - returning me back tothe Home screen.I must admit after a few goes, I truly felt what it mustfeel like to be a Russia
I am writing a Cyberpunk novel titled "Day Dreamer", set in the year 2029. Just wanted to share an excerpt here about VR for anyone interested!"AsRider began to settle down, he remembered the data card in hispocket. He had intended to drop it off in the lost and found sectionat work, but had ended up becoming busy and forgot to do so beforeleaving. He spun it around in between his fingers. His curiousity gotthe best of him, and he synced it to his headset. Heslipped the sleek black headset over his face, like a pair ofslightly large sunglasses. Inside were two screens each capable ofoutputting 16k resolution at a solid 120 frames per second. The endsof the headset near his ears did not directly output sound waves, butrather used vibrations to simulate audio through his jawbone andinner ear. The head set was able to create both an image and soundthat were so close to reality, Rider often could not tell thedifference. The headset was capable of positional and rotationaltracking as well.
I think I know what's going to be the next big thing.Real 3D "movies" of real people that you can watch from all angles as if they were there with you, with positional tracking, captured with multiple scanners, played back thanks to Carmack code compressing the hell out of that 4D data to be accessed and streamed to the GPU as needed depending on where you look. Not 3D 360 degree movies... not real time rendered fake stuff. Real people, like they are really there with you. Not whole stadiums, just one person. Also movies as they scan actors and put them in CGI spaces anyway. And as we take our loved ones to be scanned so we get to keep their memories forever, maybe we'll get that feeling our grandparents must have felt when they took our parents in for their first photos. No physics, no dynamic lighting, no simulations, no artificial intelligence, no destructible environments... just predetermined, recorded stuff streamed using the information of where you are looking and the prediction
I was thinking about getting it and had a question. The cable that connects to the video card does it go out side the computer ? i cant really tell from the picture https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/VR-BOOST-KIT.html#hero-overview
My resume is online and I get emails everyday from consulting companies, I want to contact him but I'm afraid I might not say his name correctly.
