I have about 10 - 14 dead pixels in my rift, (its somewhat bothersome) and a little bit distracting. What should I do? Should I contact Oculus and get a new dev kit?
Utility apps you immediately install upon doing a fresh reinstall, and your sanity depends on them.A plethora of common ones for most are on ninite, (That site is amazing by the way for reinstalls, use it next time if you never have)My essentials are Notepad++ for editing .ini's and misc stuff, Take Ownership for circumventing any file permission issue, Handbrake which is a must if you work with video a lot, Bandicam, WebcamMax, 4kVideoDownloader, Puush, and Everything search because screw Windows search. I wish I knew about Everything search a long time ago.

Hi,I am primarily using MaxVR to play videos on Oculus Rift and it works great. But I can't seem to figure out how to control the brightness or contrast of the played video.Do you know any good Video Player that does that and works with the latest runtime?
Surprised I couldn't find this topic already, unless I didn't search for the right words...Where will your Oculus make it's new home? Mine will go... uh somewhere here.. might have to add a side-table.
can you sell something worth 2000$ on ebay on paypal with out having a credit card linked in your account. on a verified account and then use it to buy someething
So I need some advice on two topics for upgrading the cooling within my computer desktop case (NZXT Phantom 820).1. Which water cooling system should I get? Corsair Hydro Series H100i GTX OR Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate 360mm?-the Thermaltake seems to perform better based off of reviews but the logo is not attractive...2. If I get the Corsair Air Series fans would that be good enough? -I mainly only want the Quiet Edition version of the fans but I heard the Performance Edition version should be used for radiators and for pushing air through obstructed areas (like through hard-drive cages)... so should I get the PE fans for the water cooling system or can I just use the QE fans for that too? What size should I get? 120mm or 140mm?Here is a link to the fan layout of the NZXT Phantom 820 case for reference. (will try to upload a photo too)http://bcchardware.com/gallery/main.php ... alNumber=1fans.JPGExtra Info:-GPU: MSI 980ti (Seems to run hot to the touch a lot. I notice that the fan o
I get excited reading about what people thought about what input should ome with the rift, where has it gone?
I've happened to read a couple of posts about people reminiscing how they got started with computers way back. I'm talking DOS in the 80s and prior to that. I thought it was very interesting, I've heard many stories of punch cards and mainframes (I've actually worked at a company that made screen scraping software for 3270 and other mainframes alike) and I though it'd be cool to share some stories. As for my story, it all started when my dad bought an Apple IIe when I was 6 or 7 years old. I remember trying to program a mini-putt game I had seen at an arcade (I should try to find the game now) but I think the farthest I got was drawing the outline or the course (I don't even know what that programming language was). I must have been about 10-11 years old at the time. I had a knack for math as a young child, my parent actually got me into Logo programming (remember the turtle?), my teacher had asked me to make a circle and I was making octagons... lol. Later on when we got our first IBM
I'm getting ready to remodel my basement, and was planning on putting in a home theater room. However, I'm more excited about the possibility of building a "Holodeck," that is, I'm looking to build the perfect room in which I'll use the Rift, as well as other VR / AR devices.I have a space set aside that's about 10' x 20'. My thought is to carve about 4' off the long axis to make a closet in which the Rift PC and any more traditional home theater components can reside. On the wall outside, I'd have a narrow standing desk for Keyboard and mouse, a 4k screen, and a shelf to park the Rift when not in use.I suppose I should also keep at least one rolling chair handy, for flight sims if nothing else.Nicely padded floor—maybe gym tiles instead of carpet. Possibly carpet on the walls just in case of collision.Cable management. That's going to be a thing. I wonder if it would be possible to route the cables overhead? Pivot arm?So... what about you? Where are you going to keep your new toy, and

DISCLAIMER: THIS WILL GET YOU BUFF BUT IT WILL NOT GET YOU RIPPED, BUFF AND RIPPED REQUIRES TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF WORKOUTS AND NUTRITION.mini story(you can skip)Alright, so my entire life I was a very skinny kid, my metabolism is very high, and I remember in elementary school everyone had the bicep bump except for me, in 8th grade I still couldn't do one real push up, and by 9th grade I was bullied and abused because I couldn't defend myself I decided to stop all of the abuse by starting to workout I was tired of it. step 1(skip if you can already do 30 push ups straight)for someone like me who had never worked out his entire life, I started with push ups, I recommend you start with this, because if you can't easily knock out 30 push ups then you won't be able to do the next part, if you cannot do pushups I recommend you start with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV80y796Gwk you don't need to follow a nutritious diet for this because this stage is just to prepare your body for th
Don't normally share this sort of stuff, but I caught what I thought was a funny clip last night when me and my bro were playing BattleFront. Not sure how many of you are into it or will find it funny, but I nearly pissed myself. I dunno, maybe you just had to be there :)))http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6K2iEdYf1cg&t=1m53sI also found this one on Reddit which I thought was brilliant:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnqtUAg4hkw
can you jailbreak two iphones on the same pc?. i want to jailbreak my friends phone on my pc and i have already jailbroken my phone. on the same pc
FINALLY I DID IT GUYS TY TY
I was one of those guys that have been watching oculus from the beginning and telling everyone I know that would be interested, got my pc up to par so that it could run it and everything. This new price point of 600$ is to much. I mean 300-400 is fair (still not cheap) but 600??? I love gaming and was very excited for the rift, but I may have to go to a competitor for my VR needs. Oculus had the masses over most VR solution but this price point will definitely change that without a doubt. How can they expect us to have a beefy pc rig AND be able to afford 600 extra on top of that. I don't make great monew and have a family that comes first. Very very surprised at this announcement. Maybe it will come down in a year or 2 to an affordable price, but then again even if it does eventually come down to 400 or so will it even be relevant anymore? Some other VR solution will have learned from oculus's mistake and will come out at a cheaper price point to get the publics attention... am I
I didn't realize video game glitch videos were a thing, but they are my new favorite youtube videosthought I'd share this beacause its pretty cool.
An Aussie professor claims VR can cure phobias and I'm curious as to what phobia you're hoping it will help you overcome - if her allegation is actually true.Mine is fear of heights.
Check out this article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/stevenkotler/2014/01/15/legal-heroin-is-virtual-reality-our-next-hard-drug/Psychologists have found that the people with the most flow in their lives rate the highest on overall life satisfaction. Thus, when video games start producing full-scale flow states is arguably the point that VR becomes more fun and perhaps more meaningful than actual reality.
I am using 3 alarm clocks and taking a full dose of melatonin tonight. I will not miss the preorder window! :D
