My oculus screen keeps freezing, I reseted it 10 times then i factory restarted it and now the screen is black. my controllers also keep disconnecting too, i took the batteries and even replaced them and it’s keeps disconnecting. i looked up how to fix it and nothing works
So I just bought a 3s the other day ago, fully charged it and followed the instructions that were in the box to initially set it up. When I first turned it on it took me to the passthrough mode with 3 dots just in the center blinking. I never got the initial setup screen where It walks you through the controllers, language selection, etc. I tried downloading the app to see if I had to do that but nothing. I tried force restarting it and hard rebooting it. During the hard reboot I received a no command and from there it would tell me to force restart it again. None of that seems to work since every time I do it and I finally turn it back on it just seems to do the same thing of going into passthrough with 3 dots no letting me set it up.
My airlink was not working for oculus link nor steamvr. I looked for 4 hours for solutions online. I ended up deleting my entire oculus file on my pc and it didn't work. I went through all of the troubleshooting methods. then I used virtual desktop, but it was too laggy. So i read somewhere that factory resetting my headset could fix it. So since it was my last ditch effort, i decided to. Now all of my games and apps are missing and i only have one account with two emails. all of my apps are missing on the mobile app, the website, and on the headset. I have tried verifying my headset on this account using the serial number on the left side of the headset. It did not recognize my serial number. I have tried using the email that I purchased the headset with. It did not recognize the device. I have tried looking for my receipt. my receipt is gone. I do not know what to do. Edit: I solved it. it was an issue with one of the names on my internet not being able to airlink. While i still
I record gameplay directly on my Meta Quest while playing for my YouTube channel. Recently, after playing for several hours, I noticed that all of my footage looked slightly zoomed in, almost like my character had tunnel vision. The field of view was clearly tighter than normal. While I was still in VR, everything seemed fine. I didn’t change any settings, and I went through all the display/recording options trying to figure out what happened. I couldn’t find anything that would cause it. I even tried Googling the issue but couldn’t find anyone describing the same problem.Sometimes when I restart the Quest It'll go back to normal view, but then it randomly returns to it being zoomed in.Unfortunately, that means about 8 hours of gameplay across multiple games are all recorded with this zoomed-in effect. It really hurts the quality of the videos and makes them look off compared to my normal uploads.Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a known Quest recording bug?Is there any way to
My quest three was behaving like normal and charging completely fine next to my bed, but suddenly isn’t turning on or showing the charge light. I’ve already followed the tutorials that say to hold the power button for 30+ seconds and hold the volume down button. Neither worked after charging for multiple hours. please help
On the mobile meta horizon app, in the headset pairing section, since I haven't have a headset paired yet (my headset is a quest 3), the little popup on the top of the section saying pair a new device is there. Of course, I tap 'pair', and the pairing screen shows up (I suppose, the screen below). After turning all the permissions on, I realized that this screen could not be scrolled down, unlike the other ones in the app. Every time I tried it, it just refuses to scroll down. Pressing continue has no effect and does nothing and pressing not now exits the screen. Moreover, I have also tried the online help platforms, and connecting the quest 3 with the serial number on its physical side, but it just shows "this device cannot be supported" or something similar, which means I can't get help with the serial number in the official website. Is there a possible solution or a workaround for this issue? Thanks!(PS: also please note that getting a new device is not a feasible solution for m
Im trying to connect my quest 2 to my phone after a long while of it being unused, ive not had an issue with the quest 3s i have been using. The quest 2 would not connect and i followed all the troubleshooting methods i found online to try fix this. now when i try to enter my code its advising me "headset not found"created a new meta accountconnecting to pc (now it shows on my new account but wont allow anything else) factory resetting uninstalling and reinstalling app attempting on 3 different devices 2 android 1 apple resetting my bluetooth connections on bothsideloading update (when performing this step the device wont stay in update mode long enough and loads up before update is installed i have attempted this more than once the highest it got to was 80%)
Maybe someone here can help me figure out what’s going on. I updated my headset and now after rebooting it my passthrough when in my log in screen only, is not working.
Hi everyone, tagging @MetaQuestSupport because I really need help.My Quest 3S is permanently stuck on the Beta (PTC) firmware and I can't get out of it no matter what I try. What I've tried:Toggled PTC OFF in the Meta Horizon app multiple timesFactory reset multiple times (boot menu + Meta website)Manual ADB sideload of stable firmware (completes successfully but headset always boots back into beta)ADB commands to disable OTA updatesThe core issue: The bootloader always boots from the beta partition regardless of what I sideload. It seems like a server-side PTC lock that only Meta can remove from the backend.Additional problem: After multiple factory resets, the Quest 3S no longer appears in my account's device list on the Meta website, even though the headset is still logged into my account. What I need:Manual removal from the PTC program on the backendRe-linking of the device to my accountThe beta firmware is also causing hand tracking crashes and USB debugging (ADB) to malfunction.Tha
I have a meta account but I don't log in account. System never codes 6 digits confirm code. Please help me. My facebook-instagram-whatsapp profile inside. Sorry bad English [edited for privacy - this is a public forum]
Really disappointed with the level of customer service. It’s almost impossible to get proper help, and the responses feel generic and unhelpful. Issues remain unresolved while tickets get closed without a solution. In my case, I tried to request a refund but was refused. I then asked for a replacement product of the same value, which also went nowhere. I keep being told to contact the retailer, while the retailer directs me back to Meta because their warranty was only valid for 30 days. As a customer, being pushed back and forth like this with no accountability from either side is extremely frustrating. For a platform that relies on its users and businesses, this lack of effective support and quality control is unacceptable. Please invest in real, accessible customer care and take responsibility for resolving customer issues instead of redirecting them in circles.
Hello, I am currently using a Meta Quest 3 and I am experiencing three issues. While playing SteamVR games, if I take off the headset and place it on the floor, when I put it back on, the tracking origin resets to the floor level. My viewpoint becomes fixed to the floor, which causes incorrect height positioning in the game. I mainly use my Meta Quest 3 connected to a PC via Link. Before, I was able to switch between the default Quest home environment and the linked PC screen by double-tapping the left side of the headset. However, now when I double-tap, the default home screen does not appear. Instead, I only see a "Return" button, and I cannot go back to the original Quest home environment unless I fully exit Link. Has this behavior changed due to a recent update? If so, is there another way to switch back to the default home screen without disconnecting Link? When I exit a SteamVR game from within the headset, everything works fine. However, if I close the SteamVR gam
I get headaches from every platform I've tried so far within an hour from just an hour of gaming. I seem to recall astigmatism being mentioned back when I had laser surgery for myopia, and that that wouldn't be removed. It doesn't bother me in day to day life so It slipped my mind until husband started talking about getting a VR set I could use too. Rn only he can use the Oculus 3 we've got and I've just kinda resigned myself to give up on it. Ive done a bit of searching and so far it seems getting lenses for me for the Oculus is the best advice, but my Google Fu is weak so I turn to the experts to make sure im not spending our meager cash reserves on dud advice. What say you, oh Hivemind of the web?
how do i fix the payment restricted thing because ive waited a long time and still it says that even though the pin is right can someone help me or the metaquest team appeal me?
hello; Is there a way to have the Meta Quest Link application run in the Windows system tray automatically ? I recently purchased the PRISMXR PUPPIS S1, and it’s absolutely amazing,it connects to the Quest automatically and provides an internet connection, which is a huge advantage for VR.I don’t want to manually launch Meta Quest Link every time to mirror my PC screen; I want the application to always run at Windows startup.
Whenever I try starting up meta link my headset will display this image It will not stop loading and will spam my windows notifications about how my link isn't working and that I should check a support article that doesn't exist.I've tried every solution at this point including:Restarting pc and quest multiple timesBlocking oculus outbound rules on firewall settingsClearing all temp fileRelocating my link cable to a different USB portBlocking my ethernet before starting linkReinstalling and repairing meta pcvr appTrying to use airlink to play, doesn't workDoes anyone have any other fixes I can use?
I hook up to a hotspot off my laptop that is running at 5 GHz. With my quest 2 I always had three bars of signal strength. My laptop is no more than 7 feet away from me. Other things (phone, tv, and iPad) hook up to the hotspot without issue. Even when I’m fortunate enough to have my quest 3 headset connect to Wi-Fi my favorite game; Population one refuses to connect often. The quest 3 headset tries to connect displaying the same message over and over and over again. “ Obtaining IP address, followed by saved”. The process repeats over and over until that headset connects to Wi-Fi. Once it connects to Wi-Fi, I can go anywhere that I want. It often fails to connect to the Population 1 game and is very annoying. From 7 feet away I get only two little bars on the Wi-Fi symbol. In the left hand corner. I’ve read that forgetting the Wi-Fi and logging into it again works. I’ve done that numerous times. I’ve even factory reset my headset a couple of times. Nothing seems to w
My quest 3 isn't charging with my link cable and I've had no problem doing it with quest 2 but it just stays at the same percentage.. I haven't tried the charger the comes in the box but It should be charging.
So I reset my old oculus quest 2 to give to my sister and the controllers no longer work, how do I get past the connect controllers screen with hand tracking?
Quest 2 shows a code but there’s nowhere to input this in my son’s android phone.i set my 13 yo up in family account but we can’t pair his phone to the headset. The headset options do not fully populate so we can’t select his unit. The app is the most current one.We have the code but there’s nowhere to type it in.i have an iPhone and i was able to pair straight away but this means he can only use the VR on my account so what’s the point of having child restricted options if he can’t use his profile?please help
I am trying to log into my account but it’s saying it’s not the correct email. I need help logging out of the account so I can open with a new account.
Hi,I got a very specific problem. In need to connect my Quest 3 to a PC, which is around 8 metres away (I'm from Austria, so no inch or feet here ;-)). My problem is, there doesn't seem to exist any cable which is longer than 5 metres. And also I need the loading feature included because of using the Quest for some hours without interrupting. So, how do I solve this? Or is this not possible because of some technical restrictions I'm not aware of?And don't mention Air Link. I'm not able to use it, as the purpose is to use it for flight sims, so the best picture quality is required. And I will not buy a secondary router just to use it with airlink. Beside this, it's also not possible, as the pc is already wired with my home network, so no 2nd RJ45-connection available.Any tips/links for suitable cables or a plain "nope, not possible" would be very helpful.Thx. P.S.: Sorry for the bad english in advance. :-D
Bonjour, lorsque je veut connecter mon quest 2 en air link, il apparait 2 grosses bandes noires horizontales a milieu de l'écran. On m'a demandé de désactiver spacearp ,mais cela ne résoud rien.
so when i turn on my vr, my controllers work perfectly fine. then when i click which profile im using, it stops functioning. the vr controllers DO work, the avatar moves when i do, the fingers move when i make thwm move. but when it comes to clicking something on the homescreen, nothing works. the icons that im hovering on light up like i can click them, but no matter but buttons i press, it wont click. and also, the white dot/ pointing dot thingy is stuck in the middle of the screen and when i moves my head it follows. ive restarted it millions and millions of times. took out the batterys and done everything that i can to. ive serched everywhere but theres no answer. (im on a quest 3s btw)
Hi, I'm having problems setting up a new profile on my Quest 2. I’ve tried sending the verification link to several different email accounts, but none of them have arrived in my inbox. I’ve also checked all spam and junk folders. My son recently got a new Quest 3 headset, and the plan was for him to use that while I use the older Quest 2 so we can play together. I created a new Meta account for myself and successfully verified the account. Everything appears to be working correctly on the web. However, when I try to log in on the Quest 2, I’m prompted to verify via email, and those verification emails never arrive. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps I could find related to this issue, but nothing has resolved the problem so far. Could you please assist?
