Meta Quest Link Random Failure & Freezing (Quest 3 & 3s)

G'day,

When using the Meta Quest Link USB connection with a Quest 3 & 3s, the link will catastrophically fail after an unspecific length of time. The image will freeze and if I move my head around I can see the borders of the image and the blackness around it, implying that the async-spacewarp is still functioning.

• My PC continues to function normally
• The freeze occurs regardless of what's taking place on the computer. Whether playing games or sitting in the home screen, it will eventually freeze
• This freeze is permanent until I restart the link
• Double-tapping for passthrough will get me stuck in passthrough and I am forced to exit the link
• Reconnecting the headset requires force shutting down the Meta Horizon Link app and its background tasks through task manager

This is not an isolated issue, two of my friends are experiencing this one of which just bought his headset and connected it for the first time. I personally experienced this months ago until after about 2 months when the issue suddenly fixed itself.

Troubleshooting steps taken so far:

• Repaired (and reinstalled) the Meta Horizon Link software
• Updated drivers
• Changed OpenXR Runtime
• Changed USB port

This issue renders the headset unusable for Linked play. Air Link is not an option either due to bad internal Wi-Fi.
