I'm not sure the best way to share this - but as a parent of a child who just got a Quest as a gift, I'm pretty happy with most of the parental controls available.One glaring issue - there doesn't appear to be a GLOBAL option to restrict voice-interactions to friends only.I do not want my child interacting with anyone on the internet via voice, but I also don't want to restrict him from cool games he wants to play that don't support a "friends only" voice channel.This is a common feature in online gaming and should be universally available as a privacy/voice chat setting.Please help me get this request in front of developers if there is a better place to share this request, thank you!

Hi I tried enabling Dev and public testing channel and it does not show up in my vr did they disable it in the updates or is it just my vr idk I factory reset it a few times and it does not work for both VRs

Just updated link and every time I connect to link home screen after a few minutes the screen will freeze all jittered. I turn screen off then on and it’s stuck in pass through mode but can still hear all the applications menu clicks etc.. in background anyone else having this issue quest 3

Hi anyone else been waiting a ridiculous amount of time for a replacement controller been waiting now over 2 months , customer service aren’t helpful at all  just keep getting robbed off with different excuses  

Gorilla Tag please do not have the headset on default to hear other people voices this is so dangerous. It took me a long time to figure out how to mute other people’s voices. My son is 7 yrs old and he should not be exposed to this. This need to be a choice that parents should make. 

Just a little rant, nothing big:- I registered for WM forums, and haven't yet gotten authorized.. it's been a week now. I have a few suggestions for WM3 that I believe would make this program a definite "must-have" in heavy industry use.. even more than it is now- UE 4.8.. From the rumors / vibes I am getting, this beta release of UE will include a ton of tools for populating large worlds- Why is WM trying to use 80 GIGABYTES of RAM/VRAM? And why does it take my entire weekend to generate 3 maps (its in my list of improvements.. I attempted to generate 3 landscapes in 1 build process)- I really need to figure out this outdoor lighting stuff. Although, with just the default directional light / sunlight settings and no textures, its like being on the moon if it had an atmosphere, which is pretty cool in its own right.- Why are most of the cool tools I want using a SAAS model. I found a pair of Meta glasses at the beginning of the year, and I would like to find the owner. I’m just not sure how at this point. I’ve tried contacting support and the automated chat said it’d send the info I have to the support team. But is there any other way someone might know of to find the owner information with the glasses? im a tour guide, so i mostly have people out of state/country on my tours so so posting on local forum could be a dead end, though I am in a stop where a lot of locals visit, the location they were makes be believe it was someone who took my tour but I contacted all of them and no one said they forgot anything. I just really want to find the owner

I pay for a oculus two off eBay and I think it’s still connected to the other person oculus account because it’s stuck on a black screen and I cannot reset it. I cannot program it. 

Hello everyone, few hours ago i send my id to meta bc i wanted to change my birthday date but it got declined and now i need to wait 3 months. But I noticed that on February 8th I received a letter saying that I had 30 days to enter my date of birth, but now when I try to enter it, I get an error. Does anyone know what to do?

Really disappointed with the level of customer service. It’s almost impossible to get proper help, and the responses feel generic and unhelpful. Issues remain unresolved while tickets get closed without a solution. In my case, I tried to request a refund but was refused. I then asked for a replacement product of the same value, which also went nowhere. I keep being told to contact the retailer, while the retailer directs me back to Meta because their warranty was only valid for 30 days. As a customer, being pushed back and forth like this with no accountability from either side is extremely frustrating. For a platform that relies on its users and businesses, this lack of effective support and quality control is unacceptable. Please invest in real, accessible customer care and take responsibility for resolving customer issues instead of redirecting them in circles.

I get headaches from every platform I've tried so far within an hour from just an hour of gaming. I seem to recall astigmatism being mentioned back when I had laser surgery for myopia, and that that wouldn't be removed. It doesn't bother me in day to day life so It slipped my mind until husband started talking about getting a VR set I could use too. Rn only he can use the Oculus 3 we've got and I've just kinda resigned myself to give up on it. Ive done a bit of searching and so far it seems getting lenses for me for the Oculus is the best advice, but my Google Fu is weak so I turn to the experts to make sure im not spending our meager cash reserves on dud advice. What say you, oh Hivemind of the web? 

One day I got back to my house after school and as usual I was trying to get on my Meta Quest 3S to play Gorilla Tag but my VR showed a black screen. Initially I knew nothing was wrong and decided that it might have just been a glitch and tried restarting it, that didn't work so I decided to factory reset manually (Power and volume down buttons) this didn't do anything and left my screen black. I could hear sounds and see power off options such as the restart, power off and cancel buttons and could interact with them but they did nothing. This was four days ago on Friday 13 (crazy I know) and I don't know what to do, I have tried all basic maneuvers of trying to reboot, update (from the computer), let it die, factory reset, power off, restart, and nothing has seemed to work. When I tried updating the system both my Quest and the computer claims that the update completes and that everything went smoothly but nothing changes and the black screen remains. We implemented VR using the Oculus 3S in our nursing programs at a private university. I see very generic cleaning advice out there, but I am looking for anyone who has developed a process to cleaning and specific products that are safe.  I also was curious about non-porous straps and any experiences you have had....

I’m not good with pcs or technology, and I’ve been trying to play hotdogs, horseshoes, and handgrenades on my 3s . Used steam link, the game ran fine, no issues with frame rates, but the graphics are bad, like I can’t see the sights on the gun. So I believe I need a physical connection to the pc, what should I get? (My pc is not new, it’s a few years old. On it it says core i5 10th gen) 

My phone was off and the phone glass was reflecting the computer lcd monitor image. I had a magnifying glass on the desk, both sides of the magnifying glass are curved. I held the magnifying glass in my hand and enlarged the image the phone was reflecting. What I realized was the eyes ipd sees the image in the phone differently, one eye sees more and less than the other eye. And using a magnifying glass exaggerated this so what the eyes see is more and less of what the other eye sees. But the mind makes both eyes see one image. The mind takes both eyes different images and makes them one image. I imaging if two lcd screens shows the same image and positions the magnifying glass on each eye just so the eye will make two different images the same image. A stereogram.  

I'm able to get them used in my area for the same price but I can't seem to decide between them. I'm mostly focused on VR sim racing with a PSVR2. I see most benchmarks have them neck and neck with with 4080 just ahead. The only Blue Room benchmark I've found of both has the 4080 ahead by 10%, but I've seen some VR flight sim benchmarks that have the 5070ti ahead. I get a longer warranty with the 5070ti, but how much better performance should I expect on the 4080 if at all? 

Sorry I know that’s a very open ended question. Quick synopsis for people. I hired a quest 3 late 2023, and I really liked it. Had a **bleep** ton of games to play as installed by the rental company. At that time I couldn’t warrant purchasing one financially. Now I’m in a better position. But the tech is getting on now. I did read an update come out a few months ago my that overhauled a lot of bug bears people had. Is the tech still worth it? I would likely do some pcvr stuff on my mid tier gaming laptop. But not a lot. I heard whispers about the quest 4 coming soon. That’s what is putting me off a little. I would like to hear people’s thoughts

So when I try to download my videos from my Meta Quest app it says Failed to download. If this is happening to you here are some ways to fix it.Make sure your internet connection is strongMake sure you phone has enough spaceThe video might be too long to download. If nothing works then this is what to do! So first screen record the video. Then go to photos and find the video. Crop the video so that’s all you see. Then the video will be on your phone!

Okay so ive been trying to get onto worlds and everytime i try it says “Worlds isn't available to everyone yetCheck back another time. You can also try another app or explore what's new in the Meta Quest Store.”and ive disconnected my facebook hard, restarted the headset checked the region (im in Canada) and i think theres bigger problems. so i bought this quest 3 on FB market and now im wondering if the device is flagged or its my account. ive tried to contact meta support and get connected with a human. i did the SN and all but it either says “theres no device connected to this account” or “ support isnt available for this device” ive tried everything. even on the mobile app i cant play the worlds but if i go on another account thats not connected to the vr i’m able to play. i checked everything in my settings and my account is good there’s no restrictions. so what is it? i really dont wanna have to reset the headset.
