Hi all,I have taken some monoscope 360 images of my office space by using Insta 360 X4 camera, and I use these images to create a virtual tour with web and VR viewing capabilities using Web GL and Web XR technologies. However, when I viewed these images using Meta Quest 3 headset, the scale seems to be quite large that their original scales. Even when I viewed them using the native Quest 3 image viewer, still they seem to be quite large in scale. Are there any way/options in the headset that we can adjust to solve this scaling issue and viewing them in a realistic scale?
So today (4 Sep 2025) I updated my Quest 3 from v79.1027 to v79.1033 (140Mb).Restarted my headset with bated breath...And now my Quest 3 thinks it is on v79.1031, "installed 26 August 2025".
So for the past 2 hours I've been trying to set up my new Oculus Rift that I just got, but its been a hassle. Now whenever I run the software the program says, "Not Enough Space The oculus rift need 6.37 gb of storage." Thing is I have a spare 437 gb drive that I want to us for it and it is in a D:\.Although I installed the software through my D:\ Drive it keeps downloading the contents to my C:\ Drive and is overall annoying. I am trying to move the files by using the instructions on the support page, https://support.oculus.com/1142129705828091/ ,but nothing happens it just opens the folder and doesn't move it... !?Can I get some assistance?
I've checked everything I need to, drivers are updated, pc and headset are updated, I deleted and reinstalled the link app, I logged in and out of the link app, somehow the remote desktop can detect and load my pc through WiFi but not when it comes to the actual link, I have an RX 6600XT card which I've checked is compatible, but everytime I try to set up an air link it doesn't seem to be able to detect my pc
Hi everyone,I'm sharing my experience with my Oculus Quest 1, purchased in 2020 for 548 euros (And games).Despite taking great care of it, my device wont apairing/connect wit the application that is locked to the famous security video. I tried for many years (2 or 3) to unlock the situation without compromising my headset. The meta support dosen't recognize my headset so I can't have help directly from the Quest support. Recently I noticed in my headset is now permanently "State locked" and I didn't find help from Meta one more time.Meta refuses to offer a solution and just shares a .rar saying that it could damage my device and that it will be entirely "under my responsibility". In addition, they only offer a refurbished Quest 1 (So far from the condition of mine which is perfect) at 170 euros, which allows me to get one for only more than 700 euros in the end.If you have faced a similar issues, please share with me.Or if someone has a solution that would make it so that I no longer h
I got a Meta Quest 2 today for Christmas. Everything was going well, logged into Wi-Fi and stuff, and it was that time, updating time. I didn't put in my Meta account yet. I let it do its update stuff for a while, still saw the update screen when it was at downloading 97%. A bit later, it was completely black screened. I gave it a while, it was charging with the charging light on. I gave it a couple hours, tried to turn it on normally, didn't work. I did the power button volume down thing, it went to the menu, I clicked boot, it booted into a weird download screen, when it was done it went to meta logo and then a couple minutes later black screened. I did this multiple times, same thing. So, I did the process again, but factory reset instead. It did the exact same as before, didn't help, tried once more, then was harder to get to the menu, then just clicked the device info option, and black screen, then no way to turn back on, couldn't get to the menu, didn't have power light, basicall
Hi,I left my headset few months without playing with. So I recherge it during 24 hours but now when I try to start it I can see the metaquest OS with blue background during few second and then the MQ2 restart making an infinity loop.I search on internet for potential solution and try all of what was proposed without any good result. Even the factory reset is not working when I try this option the MQ2 just reboot and restart the infinty loop.I am convince that this occured after an update but I can not be sure. I cantacted the MQ2 support and they propose me to replace it..... No solution. Is there any process that I can do by connecting my MQ2 to my pc and try to reinstall an other firmware. is this possible ?Do you have a fix for me. Thanks for youur helpRegards
Hi, I'll try to keep this as succinct as I can. This morning my son complains the controllers aren't working on the Meta 3S. moving the controllers or pulling the triggers does nothing, but if I hold the meta button in one controller I do get the meta symbol with the loading circle around it, and the meta app shows the controllers as connected. So:I tried rebooting the headset - no changetried changing batteries in the controllers, and leaving batteries out for 30 seconds - no changeUsing power button + Volume down button I called up the boot menu and factory reset the headsetNow when I turn the headset on I get the meta logo, followed by spinning meta logo, followed by passthrough mode view of the room I'm in for about one second, then it switches to a black screen. While the screen is black the two controllers vibrate every few seconds. If I hold in the power button I can bring the power menu up, I can adjust volume on the headset. Pressing buttons on the controllers only causes
I was having issues today downloading and really loading anything on my meta quest even factory reset it, until I found a post online from 2 years ago of someone experiencing the same issue as me. Is there any fix to this or has meta even addressed this issue once or at all it is very annoying and irritating.
I've been trying to get this to work for 2 months and I've been restarting they had said many times and it still doesn't work I've been factory resetting the headset is still doesn't work...I tried the sideload update, and it still shows a flash of the meta Quest logo and it still does work, it just goes back to the update boot loop...I tried everything no matter how hard i try...Any suggestions to fix this problem...?
i’ve restarted, i’ve turned up the volume for every single bar, i’ve looked into EVERY setting, including the app on my phone and my pc. i’ve tried connecting the sound to a bluetooth headset that works for everything else. i’ve also factory reset and installed allllllll the updates. yet it still doesn’t work.
I tried using a device referral from my friend but am it does is bring up the app and nothing else. Please help
I have been checking the Amazon app every day for the past two weeks (at least two weeks), but PTC is always full. meaningless.
Hello, I've been an on and off user of VR stuff for a few years now, and my headset of choice is a Rift S made... I believe not long before Oculus got folded into Meta. I do have the Meta Quest Link app but I mostly go through Steam's VR system as I mostly game on that platform. As a result I have never set up a payment method on the MQL app. Periodically (perhaps when it seems to close and re-open itself every so often?) it prompts me to add a payment method of some kind. I do not want to add a payment method through there. Is there any way that I can disable this periodic prompt from appearing?
I would like to buy a game but my apps currency changed but I’ve payed before with the us currency
Hi. I tried to contact support directly to clarify this, but support seems clueless about the topic and my ticket got closed without proper response. So basically, some time ago I watched a 2 year old video on youtube and got exceptionally excited about possibility of having budget night vision so I ordered a Quest 3 along with kkcobvr IR emitter, only to discover that this feature, the infra red view, which I thought would automatically turn on if environment is dark enough, does not seem to exist. I did not fully understand whether a guy in video accessed it through some experimental early access app or anything of that sort, but the other person in this video comments section says that infra red view got patched out because it was against specific laws in the United States. So, could someone please clarify current situation with the feature? Did it actually exist and whether it was only available through specific software? Can it still be accessed in any way? And if not, doe
Hello there, First, I hope you had a great weekend. I would like to unlock the bootloader of my Oculus/Meta Quest 2 for rooting and debloating purposes. According to the Oculus Terms of Service, I would need special permissions from someone at Oculus/Meta to do this ("You will not use, copy, adapt, modify... except as expressly permitted by us or as permitted under applicable law".) Also, I would need a bootloader-unlocking code. Where am I able to get those permissions and where can I get the unlocking code? By the way, yes, I am aware that unlocking the Quest 2's bootloader isn't recommended and I am probably going to lose my warranty. Thank you very much for your time and have a nice day. Cheers!
I’ve tried playing some downloaded VR videos on my Meta Quest 3 after the newest update, but instead of playing in VR (like they used to) they only play in a web based 3D format. Is there any way to change them back to VR without uninstalling and reinstalling the videos?
I have Charged My Meta quest 2 For a 27 or more hours and the amount of charge was 15% And I don’t know what to do I have a 10 watt charge or a 20 i don't remember and i have tried other areas in my house please help
Hi, can't seem to find anything recent regarding this issue.Used my Rift S until about 6 months ago. Always worked fine. Did a clean win 11 install on my PC since then and recently decided to hook up the Rift S again. Now i can't get through setup because it fails the sensor check. I have tried every solution i was able to find online (powered USB hub, plugging in DP port after USB, Camera access, reinstalling Rift S drivers through Device manager, etc) and nothing has worked. Meta won't let me open a ticket with them because it doesn't recognize my serial number, I have a feeling the older hardware isnt listed . Some of the public tickets relating to those issues pop up during google searches but trying to open up those ends up on meta's support home page with an error saying the content either doesn't exist or is restricted to me.Most of what I could find online pertains to issues people where having when certain patches where released back in 2019 or 2020. Some of the fixes found on
A while ago, I set up 2FA and put on the authenticator app, but it never worked and I’ve been locked out of my account. What can I do to remove the authenticator app? Can I be helped by meta support to take it off my account?
On the Meta website, I found instructions that say there's an option to uninstall, but also to remove the app from the library. Unfortunately, there's no option for uninstalling the app as mentioned in the instructions. And the uninstalled app icon remains. I'm referring to the instructions. Did Meta make a mistake? https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/3653826711413616/
Air Link will not work with wifi or with the cable. I've rebooted, i've reset the entire quest 3 to factory defaults, i've repaired the oculus link software, still nothing. When I have the headset turned on the oculus link software will freeze and never open only showing a logo screen. The same is true with the AirLink without cable. It will show the fancy oculus scene and then go to the black screen and have a white 3d logo and the entire quest 3 is then bricked/frozen and needs to be rebooted. What the heck did you guys do? Are you doing this on purpose?
I purchased a Meta Quest 2 for my daughter for Christmas 2 years ago.. right after the Quest 3 was released. We barely used it but when we did it worked fine... up until about 6 months ago. Now this thing is about as good as a paper weight. Its practically brand new as its barely been used. Spending over $250 for a case and additional head strap to keep it safe and its literally worthless now. Upon research on other forums it seems like the updates that are being pushed out are basically making these older models useless. It gets stuck on simple operations that shouldnt be a problem... like trying to update an app or set up steam. I factory reset it and its still thinking for 5 minutes just opening the app store or basic menu. Of course now its been too long and my warranty is out so what now?....... im stuck with a $160 paper weight and a very disappointed child and other members of my household. Yall are as bad as apple pulling this stunt. Did you think about how this would effect ot
