So I fired up the desktop editor, and got this message. I ignored it(as it was ambigious), and then it popped up again and it rudely kicked me out of the editor.   So...removed me from what, exactly? I'm just minding my own business in the editor.

Something really strange is happening with his atm in a few worlds. Every press they flash in and out.

Pretty much wont let me import my building world into my main one. Says it’s imported and completed but nothing new spawns in. Just curious if there is a specific reason or if it’s just a bug right now. (Vr building)

Hi! I have two questions:1- How can I make the doors in the asset library work? Can they be opened and closed... is that possible?2- Is there a limit to the number of items in our worlds? It won't let me duplicate, it just keeps thinking. It's true that there are a lot of trees in my world...You can see: Hi! I have two questions:1- How can I make the doors in the asset library work? What's some good practices, Program's etc. to preview or build UI displays in before compiling in horizon worlds ?I find myself drawing out the designs and layouts of how i want everything to look and be placed externally in my graphic editor like a blueprint. It just seems like the sometimes depending on how much the ui has to display it can take a second to load everything so i just wondered if others had any methods of their own, tips etc.

After the update today I can't even edit a script on the head set editor. I know they stopped updating and maintaining it but didn't expect it to just fall apart. I literally cant even drag and drop code blocks or type on the keyboard now. I like using the desktop editor for some stuff but mostly prefer the headset if anyone knows anyway to get it working again? If not how can I get the code block scripting on the desktop editor? I downloaded vs code and I'm still not able to open my existing scripts. I'm able to start a new one but it's type script not code blocks

A NPC Bot appeared in my world what does this mean?

Hi all, when i have desktop editor open, the asset hierarchy window is on my left, GenAI window on my right, Object Properties on the far right, my actual view of the world is stunted. Is there a way to adjust the widths of these panels so i can have a large field of view?

Two things today, which probably should be on separate threads but what the heck.Where and how can you change the scale of a texture on an object (either in Blender or the Desktop Editor) for direct application or pretextured on an FBX?Can someone try searching for “texture scaling” using this forum software and explain how one could come close to finding what is being searched for?

Is there some sort of secret sauce to get your world on the trending page? I'm part of a world that has had over 3500 visits and over 200 likes just in the past week.

hello, ive been trying to get help from meta support 7 times now with no luck, i have my kudos board up ad its only recognising £0.99 and adding that donaton to the leader board, others have tried 4.99 and 9.99 but it doesnt go through, its all conected up correctly (i think) even ad a top creator look at it and cant understand why its not recogniing it, i now have had to take the 4.99 and 9.99 out due to customers complaining,i have sent videos of customers trying to purchase and what happens along with photos ect in bug reports with noreal response, i dont know what else to do, its very demotivating when meta wont help!

Hello!I'm working on various scripts to learn the capabilities of the Horizon Desktop editor. I haven't found any information on cross-world, cross-player "global" storage that I can reference in my world. For example, let's say I want to build a system where users could "vote" for Option A or Option B, and at the end of the week, the Option with the most votes wins, and some text is updated. I cannot use player-specific storage for their votes, nor to store the total votes Option A has received across users, and across instances of the world. I'm also not sure how an instantiated class on a Script could keep that state across users either, since (my understanding is) all scripts that are attached to entities are run client-side.Am I missing something? What kind of strategy could I use to manage something like that? I feel like I've seen gizmos and other tools in worlds that can independently manage their own leaderboards outside of the "leaderboard" tool.

Hello! I'm new to scripting using Typescript in the desktop editor and I've run into a problem that I haven't quite been able to solve. I saw code snippets and suggestions about using world.getLocalPlayer() but it's not quite working for me. When I call that method, the resulting player has an empty name and trying to access its position with player.position.get() gives an error. Here's the code that isn't working, inside Start : const player = this.world.getLocalPlayer(); console.log(`local player name: ${player.name.get()}`);console.log(`local player id: ${player.id}`);console.log(`local player exists?: ${player}`);if (player) { //const position = player.position.get(); //this line gives an error when uncommented //console.log(`Player position: ${position.x}, ${position.y}, ${position.z}`); }Here's the console output for that, when the error is commented out: Here's the error if I attempt to access the position:It may be something silly, but I h

Im not sure if this was asked already but how would one go about using the quest controller specific buttons (A,B,X,Y) to open up a ui panel in a horizon world ?Example: When Y is pressed then menu interface shows up, when Y is pressed again the interface closes

Is it possible to spawn/move a player to a dynamic location instead of a predetermined spawn point? I tried setting the position of the spawn point but that doesn't work. I would like to move the player during game play to a new location.

Has Meta considered daylight to sundown environment realism ? Based off time zones ? I could imagine it enhancing the Horizon experience

I wanted to know from creators how are usaving on / using capacity....thoughts I been asset spawning and using textures to save but I'd love to hear other ways to save on capacity so world can function more under limitations an still have creativity @members

First, I want to apologize if this is an EA violation. If so, please promptly delete this post and again accept my humblest apology.I have heard that we can spawn in a world using a sublevel. How exactly would this be done in the desktop editor? (I have seen that I enter a world code.)Say a player accesses a sublevel, does it spawn in for everyone else in the world? For example, I am working on a history museum project. If Player 1 enters one sublevel (Exhibit 1) and Player 2 enters a different sublevel (Exhibit 2), do both players get the two sublevels spawned in on their headsets?I could be off-base about how sublevels work, but again, I'm really excited at the possibility of having my exhibits spawn into the same world, rather than splitting them across multiple worlds.Thank you for your responses.

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but i couldn't find a collab forum i am looking to collab with some scripters that know (typescript) preferable got some dope worlds sitting there and some really good ideas, if your interested drop me an inbox and lets talk.

The IWP bonus showed $0 at the very end of the month, making the payout $0 for the IWP bonus. IWP bonus was showing a non 0 value up until Feb 27 or 28.

If a player is moving too fast the bullet comes out from the side of the gun but comes out in the right spot when the player is standing still. The faster a player is moving the farther away the bullet launches from. -launching projectile from projectile launcher which is grouped to the gun. Side question.. I noticed looking through some old gun scripts it says launch (object variable) from (object variable).Allowing you to better customize your bullets. When I tried to script this way myself I didn't see an option for choosing your own object as the projectile. Is this out dated?

When I import a custom model which I exported as FBX from Unity. It seems to ignore the box collider I assigned to the object in Unity but instead assigns a mesh collider on the imported object. Is there a way to change this or make the object use box collider? Thanks

Does anyone use Fusion 360 to create? How might one import an asset from Fusion 360? More specifically how do I save the asset so the texture is linked?
