Hello I recently got a meta quest 2 for Christmas but I lost the QR code to Resident Evil 4 and I wanted to know if there was anything else I could do to get it for free with another QR code before it expired
Hi there. Unfortunately the Marketing attribution page seems to be broken for us. We are running paid campaigns on external sites, but we cannot track the success of them (or calculate some metrics) because conversions do not show up on the Oculus Developer Dashboard (and the click counts dont match either). Since we are in AppLab where paid marketing the only way to grow, this sets us back extremely. We saw others with similar issue on Discord, we also created a support ticket but no help received yet.. Can anyone help us?
From what I can understand, a Quest App is available by the app id link before being reviewed. This allows users to install the app from a direct URL rather than the AppStore. Our app is viewable on PC by the App Id link, and everything looks fine, except there is no GET button. Also, when the same URL is viewed on the Quest, a 404 error is displayed. Is the App Lab broken, or am I missing a setting somewhere? Now that the App is in a review state, there are no settings available to us for change. Strangely, the URL is viewable on PC but not the Quest. We want our app to be available to our users, precisely many schools anxiously waiting to use our app. Our previous app worked with Google Cardboard, and now the schools are migrating to the Quest. We are unable to give them our app because of this issue. We need to have our app used by students before the school year is complete. By not having this app available to students, this delay is robbing children of an educ
I attempted contacting Oculus Developer Support Center and was told that they can't process the request.I'm attempting to submit my app and have gone through the App Metadata section and filled out all of the required information; however the `Specs` tab is marked as incomplete. The support staff said:"I currently see on my end that there are two missing fields. The indicated missing fields are Legacy Category and Legacy Genres. If you are not seeing these as options, try refreshing the page or trying a different browser window". After trying five separate browsers, those two options still do not exist for me under App Metadata > Specs. It was at this point I was told: "Thank you for trying those steps, I am sorry that you are still having trouble with this Metadata update. However, we are unable to process this type of request". So would any of you fine folk have any ideas to set these missing fields? Thanks in advance 🙂
We're currently unable to request product keys. When selecting the 'Keys' option we're being presented with the error message below; We haven't requested any number of keys before receiving this message; it appears as soon as we click on the 'Keys' option from the dashboard and doesn't even let us get as far as selecting between regular or bulk keys! This is happening for everyone in my organisation.I'm also getting another error message when attempting to report the bug; We've recently had a few customers report error messages when attempting the redeem their Oculus keys stating 'This key has been canceled by the developer'. I'm not sure whether the issue with the customer keys is related to our key generation issue, but right now we can't provide them with any new keys as replacements!
I used to be able to download Monthly Sales Report under 'Financial Reports' menu, but since a week ago, sales report disappeared from this menu. And on Revenue Dashboard, it's not showing me Revenue numbers. I'm confused because I haven't changed any account information. I dont understand why suddenly I'm blocked from seeing this information. Is it my issue or Meta issue?
I see that Roles have been migrated in some fashion as of Sep 30. Around this time all apps have disappeared from App Distribution in the Developer Hub for all members. Even Administrators cannot view or install apps in App Distribution. The app is no longer available on any member's headset that was accessed through Release Channels. Looking into our roles, Developers and Administrators have permission for View App and View Release Channels. App Constraints are set to "All (present and future)". What other settings are relevant? It seems like a bug with our org. Please advise. This is severely blocking the entire org.
Hi,We have uploaded a new build to the RC channel of one of our live apps, but it has been stuck on "Running Malware Review Test" since Friday. I have attached a screenshot below:I hoped this was just a visual bug but when trying to push it to the Production channel, this is not deploying live onto any headsets. I have seen online that this issue (being stuck in testing state) appears to occur randomly. Examples:https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Developer-Dashboard/Test-State-Stuck-On-Running-for-Store-Channal/td-...https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Developer-Dashboard/Uploaded-builds-can-t-get-past-quot-Running-quot/...https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Tool-Feedback/Stuck-at-uploading-build-Oculus-Developer-Hub/td-p/9492...Anyone experiencing this at the moment, or has any past experience to share? I have opened a support ticket with Meta but no answer yet. On that front, it seems the list of topic you can create support tickets for has been reduced and there isn't any "release/store supp
Anyone else having this problem?
I tried both Metaquest dev and my phone to activate dev mode, but it keeps giving me a vague error;.
Trying to manage our release channels for a live app on App Lab using the Developer Dashboard. It looks as if there's a bug recently introduced in release channel managment. We can't see or modify the list of Subscribed Users. See below screenshot:Note that we have 25 "Subscribed Users" in the selected tab, but "No Subscribed Users" in the list. Obviously when we select the tab we should see the users in the list, so that we can edit the list.Pretty serious bug here, please advise?
I am working on my first Unity Oculus App. I have submitted multiple builds and it keeps getting rejected with reason "The FPS is below 60". I went through all of the settings and optimized the app and when I test it, it stays at 70-72 FPS the entire game. I resubmitted the app and it's "In Review" but I haven't received a response for 3 days. Normally I get the rejection the next day. This seems like a good sign (not quickly rejected), but I'm wondering why the much longer delay in finishing review. Is this normal? I know the website says 1-2 weeks, but I think that's their safe buffer timeframe since I've always heard back the next day. Is there a way to contact the App Review team to make sure the app isn't stuck/lost? Thanks!
I have Facebook Test User accounts setup in the developer portal. I am trying to setup a headset using one of these accounts (which has worked fine in the past). Now, when I login to the Meta Quest App (Android and latest version of the App), it asks me to setup a Meta account for them. I go through the process and at the end I get the message:'Could not access Facebook account -Could not pull user data from Facebook account'.This then leaves the test account in an unusable state. In the developer portal the test account has gone from a Red ! to a Green tick. However, if I try and login and use the account it tells me the username/password is wrong. I have tried this with 3 test accounts over the last couple of weeks and they have all failed like this.Anyone have a solution or a workaround for this?
I just bought a Quest for my husband for his birthday. We're in our seventies, and he has limited mobility. I thought Quest might be a good way to widen his world. We subscribe to two newspapers, and both are pushing subscribers to go to their online service, since printing papers is costly. Could an app be written for Quest that would enable us to read newspapers virtually? Sitting at a desktop or reading the online papers on a tablet is not satisfying. We want to be able to turn the pages, see the whole page layout at once, skim the headlines, and so on. Is that possible with Quest? I could see an app offering subscriptions to any number of newspapers around the world. On a wider note, I believe there's a large untapped market for VR among seniors because of their lack of mobility, but most of the games I see are aimed at teens.
Funnel analytics is stuck on november 13 and the dashboards aren't getting updated after that date.
Hello All, I am uploading app to App Lab. While submitting IARC content certificate with ID and Email ID. Getting this below error. Please see attached screenshot. Any help appreciated! Thanks
We are preparing to launch our old yet updated game for Quest.Since GearVR isn't supported anymore, we won't be updating for that platform anymore, however, we would like to be able to grant owners of our game on GearVR a chance to get the game on Quest for free or heavy price reduction, (either through a 100% price off coupon, or key share system.) Does Oculus facilitate something like this? Can I as a publisher grant my GearVR clients a coupon or key/entitlement to the Quest version? Hope something like this is possible as we like to thank those early adopters via this way.
Hello, I'm looking for a solution to a problem I have with OVRAudio. I am using OVRAudio API for Native C/C++ 32.0.0. When I decode 2nd Order material with the ovrAudio_ProcessAmbisonicStreamInterleaved function, out-of-domain accesses occur.I have specified "order" as "2" in the ovrAudio_CreateAmbisonicStream function argument, but it still occurs. Is there any necessary procedure? Also, is it possible to get a sample code to decode the 2nd Order?
Hi all,An old APK was uploaded to the STORE release channel, and was not released. The keystore used for this was lost, so now I cannot update the build with the fixed version.Since the app was never actually released yet, is it possible to delete the old unreleased APK and replace it with a new one? There is surely no technical roadblock in doing this, but I imagine it requires some Oculus backend intervention. Thanks!
Hi all, I haven't had much luck finding information on the best way to set up payment from Meta for your app sales (hopefully publishing an app in the next few months). I have a UK business account and was wondering if anyone has any advice of how to best set things up (e.g. my bank can setup a US extension of my account?). Many thanks for any help.
Hello, when switching to a meta account, I encountered the fact that my organization is not verified. And I can't complete verification. what should I do?
I decided to form an LLC before releasing my game. Under financial information in the Org Manager the fields to enter this information are locked. How do I go about updating my organization to be an LLC? (or do I have to form a new one).
We're planning a rolled out release of our App Lab app using Meta keys to give to our early users. We thought we would be able to track various campaigns with different sets of keys from the developer dashboard, but our test keys are not showing up at all. Is tracking a feature only available once the app is officially released on app lab? Or only for Quest store apps? Or is it simply not available?
We started an application for our new VR app for Store on May 23rd (today it is Nov 1st). Since then, I have sent over 50 mails to the Developer Support channel but get no support and no progress for getting the app closer to store. Are we the only ones that experience this long leadtime, or is there any other way to get attention??
