Hi everyone, We're following up on the reports related to this thread Meta Quest Link Update Our engineering team is looking into this performance issue and would appreciate your help running a quick test. Step 1: Check if OculusDash.exe is using GPU resources Open Task Manager → go to the Details tab Right-click any column header → Select columns → enable GPU While experiencing the performance issue with Link, check if OculusDash.exe shows a non-zero GPU value (it should be 0) Step 2: End the OculusDash.exe process Right-click OculusDash.exe → End task (or select it and press Delete) You may need to do this a few times quickly—it can restart itself Once it stays closed, check if your performance improves Here's a short video showing both steps (first 5 sec = Step 1, rest = Step 2). Let us know what you find—what GPU value that OculusDash.exe is showing initially, and also whether your performance improved after ending the process. This will really help us narrow things down.
Unfortunately, after the latest Meta updates (January/February 2026), my beloved OTT stopped loading profiles and overwriting ODT settings, such as FOV ect.ODT resets settings every time I start my PC.What's the point of such changes? Is there an alternative to automatically loading settings into Oculus Debug Tool?
I was going to play on my headset but when i booted it i got a error saying tracking is lost.I tried rebooting and everything plus got No Command error then it got fixed.Played on it for more than 10 minutes while playing it was lagging more than usual and got the same error. I have no idea what to do please help.
Hi, I'm not used to do this like this but this is beyond me, today, while I was sitting in my couch I tried my Quest 3 after more than a month but then I noticed it was hot, when I see the screen it was a weird menu where the controllers and hands were useless, the only thing i had to do is turn it off, after some research it is something like a secret menu for Android, and of course the screen is now burned (this ghost like effect in the screen) so I don't get how a 550 bucks device is having such a crazy error, keeping a device on for so long? How? So, if I decided not to use it for 2 more months? What would happen? This is ridiculous, and of course, I'm out of warranty. So this is just to keep everyone aware of this thing, keep an eye on your devices cuz maybe they're ON for a fking month!
and it says this "Request cannot be completed until further action We noticed something unusual and, for your security, this request couldn't be completed. Please file an appeal to get your case reviewed" I'm confused on whats wrong so yea, Thank you.
I know this is a feature to try to increase battery life, but Quest Pro controllers goes in sleep mode way to quickly. You just have to not move your hand for a few seconds and they go in sleep mode, which completely destroy the immersion and is a bit unacceptable for this price tag.Actually, the issue seems like that these controllers fails to correctly detect if you are holding them or not, since they don't take into account that you are touching something on the controller (ie the trigger or the thumbrest) before going into sleep mode.In the Quest menu, the ghost hands have the tendency of disappearing (aka the controller thinks you aren't holding it) when not moving them even if you are touching something. This basic functionally Quest 2 and Quest 3/3s controllers correctly execute and they do not go to sleep mode when you are touching something on them.
Hello. I am trying to figure out how to find my app id. I am trying to fill out a "Contact Us" form in the developer's section, about an issue and its asking for an "app id" and I can't seem to locate one anywhere. Please help.

everytime i click on the button to set it as default it does nothing
I am texting this from my newly made account for this issue specifically because i am not able to log in to my old one neither on my phone nor my PC. My old account is a standalone Meta account without connections to Instagram or Facebook.I recently have changed my phone to a new one due to old one breaking without any chance of recovery. That leads to me not being able to provide a 2FA code that is needed to log in to my old account because there is no Meta account on authenticator app on the new phone. Is there any way to recover that account?
Hi everyone, new Quest 3 owner here. I was under the impression that when your hands approach the edge of a roomscale, the controllers should begin to vibrate. And as you get closer, the haptic feedback should increase in intensity, especially after you've crossed the threshold (when the on-screen blue grid is punctured by a red circle). But this never occurs. Changing the roomscale sensitivity level, in the system settings, makes no difference. The controllers certainly vibrate in other scenarios, so it's probably not a hardware issue. Further, I was able to replicate this issue on both a new Quest 3, and a new Quest 3S, suggesting it's a software issue with Horizon OS (or perhaps user error, haha!).Does anyone else also experience this lack of haptic feedback when approaching walls/furniture?
We admin VR/Immersive software at a University. We currently deploy Meta Horizon Link to ~150 PCs and its used for Unity VR development with Meta Quest headsets. Students do not have admin rights. When the app auto-updates, the main software installs fine, but the driver updates fail because they trigger a UAC (Admin) prompt that students cannot accept. This leaves the software in a broken state until IT manually intervenes. The rolling/unpredictable release schedule makes this hard to plan for during a teaching term/semester.What we found so farConfig: We found the new "Disable Auto-Updates" toggle in the UI, but it appears to be user-specific and stored as a binary BLOB in a local SQLite DB (data.sqlite). We are hesitant to script edits to this file on login as it seems brittle compared to a standard Registry key (?).Network: We are thinking of using a Windows Firewall rule to block the updater exe (OVRServiceLauncher.exe) to "freeze" the version for the term/semester. The trade-off i
When I went to try and update a game my quest said it's memory is full. So I uninstalled three games, restarting my headset four times and no matter what I do it says memory is full and won't let me update the game. When I uninstalled the game it won't let me install it again please I can't do anything
Hello I been having this with my quest 3 when ever I watch a video or play a game both speakers start to crackle or pop constantly. It happends when ever the game has some bass they start to pop. I tried updating the quest 3s to latest software update.I also tried restarting it to see if that would work. no luck.any help you can give will be much appreciated thank you.
This is the third Meta Quest 3s that I have, after returning, the last year, 2 of them because the speakers make popping/crackling sound with strong bass sounds. The problem is the speaker, it doesn`t happens with all of the Meta Quest 3 that I test, but it happen with all the Meta Quest 3s that I have. The problem is perfectly audible with Ballerina Trailer in YouTube, but you can ear it in any other game with strong bass sounds. I hoped the problem was solved after a year but it`s still there. The only solution is to use headphones until Meta assest the problem. Rebooting, factory reseting, or any other solutions of this kind doesn`t work.
Hi, I'm having an issue with a referral for the app Virtual Desktop.Over 14 days ago, someone used my referral link to purchase the app. Now I can see the "Referral Accepted" status on my end in the mobile app. However, I cannot redeem the 2€.I reached out to Meta Support via email to resolve this. They are now asking for the recipient's full name and email address to verify the transaction. The person who accepted the link doesn't want to share their personal data with me to pass along to support (and frankly, I wouldn't want as well). All I know is that they properly purchased the app and the discount was applied. They didn't refund it.I know it’s a small amount, but I'd still like to sort it out. Has anyone else experienced this specific loop with support? Any tips on how to proceed? Screenshot from app:The message says: "Cannot redeem the code right now, it's possible that the recipient..."
When I try to buy any game it’s says I need to file a appeal to get my case reviewed where can I do that?
Hi, I need help! I've been struggling for days to log into my meta account. The problem is that the two factor authentication is not sending me the confirmation code to my phone via sms. I've had to create this 2nd meta account to at least be able to communicate my issue.
Please help I need to delete 2FA as I have lost access to the app, I can't delete it myself, when I log in to Meta through Facebook, it asks for the 2FA, and so on in a vicious cycle
I'm at my wits end. I'm at the point where writing this post is one of the few options that I have left. I ordered a replacement right controller September 22nd. My return was accepted on the 25th but my replacement still has not shipped. I have spoken to support dozens of times with no success. I have been told numerous times they are waiting for a response from the warehouse but this has been going on for nearly a month. I keep getting thanked for my patience but I have no patience left. Please ship my son's replacement right controller. I am begging you. His quest 3 birthday gift has turned into a nightmare. Please help us!
Crazy suggestion what if you can go in a setting to check for any damage/problem INSIDE ur controller, what if instead of tearing ur controller into little pieces to find out a problem in ur controller, you can just check in ur settings. Now i know this sound difficult for meta and they may have to create new controllers or a new headset but it will be so cool, ya you might have to get new controllers if you dont know what you are doing, but if you know how to repair things intead of paying $80+ you can fix ur controller and possibly only spend 10+ dollars for like 2 new parts. If you read this far thank you for listening to me and if you like my idea send a comment "meta plz" thank you again.
I've been waiting for weeks, messaging Meta Support on WhatsApp. And still, no navigator. Someone help. I'm on the PTC and v78.1028 and still don't have this.
