Hello my name is Darren,            I used to do troubling shooting of hardware equipment for a Point of Sale Company for over 22 years for a living, have an A+ certification many years ago.   Product = Quest2 128GB bought in 7/29/2022,  Issue = memory error - "Not enough memory to run xxx" , Occurrence Random = About 10-55min. Versionv81.xx  For about 2 weeks I also have the issue of "Not enough memory to run xxx", for instance running "Dungeons of Eternity". it happens about 10min-55min. in the game but most all the time when everyone is linked to go back to the starting area in the "D. O. E. " game,  after the fight,  where everyone makes it back, except me, sometimes, more often while someone is talking the APP crashes and I recover back to the Meta Home screen.  I've did some research on this using Gemini, it said that the heatsink fan may not be working so bought tools to take it apart checking to see if the fan was

I lost my phone that I registered the headset on, approximately 2 years ago, and now have a dumb phone ( i dont need a smart phone i get about 16 hours screen time as it is ). why am I not able to make certain purchases? the ones that I can, i have to go on the continue on browser bit and put my pin in then close the window and all is well. but recently nope. no dice. it needs to continue int he 'app' do i have to spend a couple of hundred quid on a phone that im not going to use, to be able to by apps. FUMING. 

so the day before this issue my quest turned on in the night randomly and ran out battery so today i charged it to a green light (it wouldnt connect to my phone) and i put it on thinking it maybe stopped itself in the night and didnt shut off so i pressed instead of holding down the power button it had it sowed a moving static screen for about 2 seconds and went dark held it down same thing again but then i held it down once more and it booted ive never had a issue like this before except a few months ago it bootlooped 3 times but then actually started up

So after a few weeks without using my headset, I put it on today, it updates to v79, and now the passthrough cameras are completely black. Even when defining the play area I cannot see my environment. Any ideas on how to fix this? 

Hey folks, just got a Meta Quest 1 off a friend and when trying to download the OculusSetup.exe, the installer doesn't load and I am left with the above message. Could install it on my MSI Claw with no issue but I try to use my PC thats actually compatible and it fails to install. Any help here? I've already tried to delete any oculus files from the PC and firewalls, to no luck

We have been unable to use the controllers as they appear to have disconnected from the headset and have tried the battery removal and other guidance with no success.The other issue appears to be the headset as when we power on it comes up with the logo,then the password screen (which we can’t get past as the controllers aren’t showing as working) and then it appears to power off.We have tried charging for a few hours on another charger for a switch as recommended but we still have the same issues.Has anyone else had a similar issue or may have advice on how to reconcile the issue before we admit defeat that it’s broken?

I went to connect my oculus pro controllers to my oculus quest 2 in doing so it had me disconnect my current controllers. Then my VR turned off and now neither is working on my VR and my hand tracking is turned off I'm stuck at the continue screen when you first turn the headset on so it won't connect to my phone to connect the controllers what should I do. 😭

Meta Quest 3 Oculus headset Won't Power on.  Have tried holding power button for over one minute, will not turn on.  Have tried using different charger and power source plug in charging for several hours and still won't power on.  From device, says headset is fully charged, but won't power on.

i was playing a game and out of no where my oculus randomly turned off. i tried powering it back on and it wouldnt work so i just got off it for a bit. around 5 minutes later i saw it turned on but the screen wasnt on and the oculus was just blowing air out. now my oculus wont turn on or charge

After my Quest 3 got stuck on the initial logo, I started looking for a solution. I tried updating the firmware through the official website and via ADB, but it was always the same. The new firmware only loaded to 48-50% of the way! What should I do now? Can anyone suggest a solution? Or have I just spent hundreds of pounds on this device for nothing?

After resetting my Quest3 to factory settings using the engineering menu, I'm experiencing the following issue: when I turn it on, the Meta logo lights up for a few seconds, then a white dot appears briefly in the middle of the screen, then disappears, and the entire screen turns gray. What should I do? There's no service center nearby. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue?

Hi,I’m experiencing an issue with my Meta Quest 3 that I haven’t been able to resolve. When I power it on, the Meta logo appears and I can hear the startup sounds and see the volume indicator, but the screen remains completely black afterward — no menus or visuals appear.Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Restarted the headset multiple timesPerformed a software update through the boot/recovery menuAttempted an update/repair via the boot menu optionsCompleted a full factory resetUnfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue. In the boot menu, I also noticed that the device status is listed as “Locked.” I suspect this might be the root cause preventing the headset from functioning normally or pairing with the Meta app.Could someone from Meta Support please advise on how to unlock the device or restore it to working condition?Thank you for your time and assistance.— John R

I have only one game on my headset and 230GB left of storage. I already tried a factory reset but I still have the notification pop up and it kicks me from the game. Please help. 

I bought the offficial usb 3 cable from meta but under windows only usb 2.0 is working.I think it's because windows 11 use a generic usb2.0 ribver when I connect my quest3 as you can below: How can I force windows 11 to use the correct quest3 driver ? 

Hello, when I try to purchase the game I get the message We've noticed something unusual and, for your security, this request couldn't ...HELP 

When trying to contact support if you try using the web chat option the page time out saying the link is broken. If you try the WhatsApp chat it tells you that you dont have whatsapp install ( this is news to all the friends i talk to on WhatsApp). It seems to me that Meta are deliberately trying to avoid helping their customers

It's been an hour since I bought VR and started using it, and suddenly my screen went black and then it won't turn on at all. I tried many methods, there is sound, but there is no image, the sensor is working, but it did not give an error because of masking. I also updated manually. Can anyone help me with the solution?

I bought my quest and i see it needs a mobile, a google account, wifi and tons of permisions for the mobile. I just want to play it without needing all that. When i bought the product no where they were saying all those requisites, neither was on the box.

I finally got the link cable to work -- i used the meta horizon app on my phone click on settings top left - select devices - select your headset -  select headset settings -select developer mode - and turn ON. Also go to advanced settings and turn off auto upload crash reports and public test channel.  I hope it works for you. This is after V81.0.

This may be the worst bug i’ve encountered on this headset and is the sole reason why the meta quest 3 is the buggiest headset ive ever used. So I have two accounts on my quest, the device owner and an additional one. On the additional one, I can set my room scale or stationary boundary, as well as my floor level. But on the device owner, when i click boundary and click either option,  it just doesn’t work and takes me back to the settings. This makes that account almost unusable in standalone mode, because as you all know, you kind of need a floor level to play vr. Please fix this meta, it’s been broken for almost a year now. 

So I recently factory resetted my headset because it kept kicking me out of games and the original owners account had been deleted but now I can't log back in because it's telling me to re take out the plastic tabs which we threw away and I can't I've turned off the headset and I've tried restarting it but nothing works PLEASE HELP!! 

I was recently trying to buy my friend a game called virtual skate and it popped up a message saying I was unable to complete the transaction for security reasons. I would kindly ask for meta to resolve this issue. I think I have found a pattern though, every time I buy something, and then try to buy another thing maybe 2-3 days later, this message pops up. So meta, can you please give my account the ability to purchase things again, or maybe even resolve this entire issue. Thank you

I contacted meta on May 8 that my oculus could  turn on, shows the turning on screen, the trouble shoot screen, but other than that it shows me a bright black screen, I’ve only used this oculus for a week then never touched it again. On may 8 I had 30 days to send my oculus to Meta but I didn’t.Is there any way I could send it still?ive tried everything, trouble reset, hard reset, still only shows me black screen   only used it for a week. I have the emails of the ship stickers from May 8 to send it to meta but I think it expired  

Hello,I´m very very frustrated. Because I ran my Oculus Rift since years without any problems. I use it for DCS only - Surving trought the clouds. Since the last Update (10th oct 2025)  yesterday, the refresh rate is down and the view is a slide show.No new hardware, no other settings, no new software. Just the latest Update.META: Please, why I´am forced to install every update even I won`t it? And why your service provide an untested update?And why is it not possible to roll back to an older version?I tested the graphics to the lowest possible settings. But there is still 10 frames per second. Doesnt matter what I tried. All my hardware is working fine- latest graphic card driver nvidia installed. Latest windows updates and so on.  Could you please undone or fix the latest META update - Thank you.Kind regardsTOM 

OK, so my link via cable to my PC suddenly stopped working, i would hop on to play and stream onto twitch. when i plug in i get a "power charging at slower rate" wich is normal for me but i was still able to connect, this morning however i boot up plug in and now theres no link, iv tried everything i could think of but no go, again iv never had a problem up untill now and again, its just sudden.any ideas?
