My Quest 3 connected to the wrong Wi-Fi during setup. It seems there’s no internet connection, but it still moved on to the next step, “upgrading to the latest software.” Now it’s stuck on that screen.
Hey meta so I got this new vr and I did all steps in the screen but when I do the code from my vr it keeps saying “invalid device code please try again! “ can you help me please?
Hi Meta Support Team, My Meta Quest 2 (serial #: ************) powers on normally but stays on the pairing-code screen and never connects to the Meta Quest app. Things I’ve tried: Multiple full factory resets using the hardware buttons Pairing attempts from an iPhone 15 Pro, an iPad Pro, and a Windows PC using the Meta Quest Setup tool Different cables, chargers, and Wi-Fi networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) Verified that the headset is detected by the PC setup tool (shows serial and firmware) Installed SideQuest (headset visible but ADB locked because Dev Mode can’t be enabled) Reinstalled the Meta Quest app on all devices The headset never progresses past the pairing code; there’s no way to reach Wi-Fi setup or enable Dev Mode. This headset was originally activated under an old Oculus account from around 2019, and that email no longer works after the Meta migration. When I try to verify the device on the Meta support site, it says “We couldn’t find a device associated with that information.
Hi just wanted to let you know that this crappy software isn't even installing correctly. Not that i need help, i know you guys are useless and can't make this link work correctly so just letting people know in hope someone notices it before buying this scam. The horizon app installation just hangs at the end of downloading process and never finishes.
Hey guys,I have tried everything and the oculus link will not connect my quest 3 to my dash on pc. I keep getting a Fatal Error stating that dash can’t connect. Microsoft discontinued support for WMR so I’m sure this has something to do with it.Is Meta working on a fix? Thank you!
After taking a long break from using the headset, I come back to one of my controllers refusing to pair. As such, I went into the app and tried to disconnect and reconnect it. It never gave me the vibrations it said it would but nevertheless showed as paired.I went into the headset to see if the controller was functioning, only to see it now failing to update. The first time it got to 50% before retrying, and then it kept getting stuck at 6% a few times before stopping attempts entirely.I have tried:New batteriesFactory reset (this failed because it wouldn't even initiate.)Repairing again
UPDATE: Solution found by Hansaplastique! THANK YOU! It seems this method forces Intel(R) UHD Graphics to render for OVRServer_x64.exe. At least, that's what's selected under "Power Saving" for my PC. My games still run fine using this method, since they still use the GPU. The dashboard/OVRServer doesn't utilize the GPU while in use. Changing the preferred processor in Nvidia Control panel for OVRServer_x64.exe does NOT solve the issue, although I thought it would effectively accomplish the same thing. Many thanks to Hansaplastique. You're a real gamer. I made a video tutorial for the solution for anyone confused. https://youtu.be/H_WbAHVV7o4__________________Original Post Below-------------------- Oculus app isn't showing desktop, just black screen. Though, I can still control the cursor with my controller. I have a Rift S and a Quest 2 and both have the issue. So far, I've restarted, repaired install, and installed latest graphics card drivers but have had n
Hi! I hope someone can help, after a playing a game my headset wouldn’t start - I’ve had it for 4 weeks and haven’t gotten a chance to play more then an hour or two. I’ve searched a ton of help forums and YouTube videos and have: 1. Restarted 2. Rebooted 3. Factory reset and i still end up with a grey/black screen after the meta logo circles around (with no sound)I called Best Buy to see if i could swap it and I’m past the 15 days, they told me to get ahold of meta but when i type in my serial number to start a claim it says the number isn’t recognized but I’m typing it in directly from my headset. Anyone have any tips for me to either get in touch with Meta or fix this problem with something I haven’t done? Thank you!
My Quest 3 bootloader is broken. I realized it when I went into the headset's engineering menu. It's not even listed there.1) I tried updating the system through your dedicated website. But it was no use. Everything loaded to 100%, but it still wouldn't boot.2) I tried updating it through ADB, but the update only gets to 47% and then resets.3) And finally, I tried updating the firmware via booting from a flash drive in the engineering menu. Uh, I had to buy a Type-C flash drive. But that didn't work either. Support, please help me!
Hello everyone,I'm experiencing a critical issue with my new Meta Quest 3S and the Meta Horizon mobile app, and I'm unable to pair my headset. Whenever I try to initiate the pairing process from the app, it displays the following error message:TypeError: Cannot read property 'type' of undefinedI have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:Restarting the Meta Horizon app.Restarting my smartphone (Android).Clearing app cache and data for Meta Horizon app.Reinstalling the Meta Horizon app.Restarting the Meta Quest 3S headset.Trying the pairing process on another smartphone (same error occurred).Ensuring both the smartphone and Quest 3S are on the same Wi-Fi network (5GHz band).Ensuring Bluetooth is enabled on the smartphone and the devices are close.Since the error appears on multiple devices, I suspect it's either an issue with my Meta account, the Quest 3S headset itself, or a deeper problem with the Meta Horizon app's server-side interaction.I am unab
Hi everyone, I need help recovering my Meta account. I changed my phone number and lost access to the 2FA verification. I also lost my backup codes. I used to own a Meta Quest 2 and created my account around October 11, 2022 (email: bozek243@gmail.com). I just bought a Meta Quest 3 but I can’t log in to my old account. Every time I try, it asks for a 2FA code sent to my old number. Please, can a moderator contact me via private message to verify my ownership and help me regain access or remove 2FA? Thanks a lot.
Only had my quest about three weeks, it updatet to V81 sortware and it no longer connects to my wi-fi, never had a problem before, it just keeps saying check password and then not connecting, I made it forget network and tried to reconect, but still nothing, also re dowloaded update from quest sit but still nothing. Any help would be greatly apreciated as at the moment I feel I now own an expensive ornament.
i plugged in my rift headset, worked, then it turned off when I tried it on now it's not even recognized by the PC. As well as my touch controllers wont turn on or pair with the PC i'm with. I know my PC is compatible but maybe it's something i'm missing
Merci.

I have everything brand new: powerful laptop Lenovo Legion, Meta Quest 3 helmet, brand cable and downloaded this Meta Horizon app. After installation it froze at the page with avatars and does not move. Tried all the tricks with no results. On my old laptop Lenovo Yoga I got it working using touch screen. But the old one is outdated. What other ways can I try? The ultimate goal is to use Microsoft Flight Simulation.
Yesterday morning, I picked up my headset and put it on my head to see that my controllers were updating after the update my left controller would start losing tracking and overheating and then shutting off. It does this every 10 minutes, and I'm not sure how to fix it anyone have any solutions?
Please someone help me unlink my headset from my meta account
Hello! The buttons on both controllers have stopped responding when I'm in games. However, they work perfectly in the home menu, settings, browser, and other non-game areas (e.g., navigating menus or the store). Re-pairing controllers and factory reset did not fix the issue.Any advice?P.S. Yes, it's v.81.
Today I fired up my Quest 3 and was "treated" to a controller update for both my Quest 3 controllers. After this happened the trigger and grip buttons on the right controller stopped working at all. Every other button works fine as does the joystick. Here are things I've tried that did NOT work:Replacing the battery (it registers as 100% but the grip and triggers still do not work)Cleaning the controllerRe-pairing in the options menuRe-pairing in the iOS appController factory reset (hold B + Meta button for 10 seconds - it reset but the two buttons do not work)Restarting the headset (it told me it was updating, which it always does; not sure I believe it, and when it rebooted the issue persisted)Remapping the A and B buttons to the trigger and grip in the Settings. This did not work at all. It's like the right controller not only refuses to accept inputs from its grip and trigger, but it has no concept at all of these two buttons. Something is VERY wrong with your software here Me
Hi everyone,I wanted to share an issue I'm experiencing with my controllers after the latest update to my headset, as I understand many others are facing the same problem.First of all, I've tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by Meta Store Support, including:Ensuring my play area is free from reflective surfaces and light interference.Cleaning the tracking cameras.Removing third-party accessories.Re-pairing the controllers to the headset.Replacing the batteries (even though they were at 60%).Despite these efforts, the issue persists. My controllers work fine in the menus but are completely unresponsive in games. I can only use the Oculus button to exit to the main menu, but navigating or controlling within games is impossible. This problem started today after I installed the recent update. I used the headset yesterday without any issues, but after turning it off and on again today, the controllers no longer work as expected in games. This seems to be a widespread issue caused b
Hello, as the title states, my quest 3 is stuck in USB update mode, with none of the suggestions online working to restore any functionality whatsoever.Quest has been working fine up until today (I primarily use it when racing in VR).I am on a work trip and figured I'd bring just the quest, so I had something to do in the hotel. Well, now I don't.RMA seems to be the only option?
