I am having issues with my Quest 2 not pairing air link with my new PC. I built it and have all the latest drivers installed, I've tried factory resetting my Quest 2, resetting/rebooting my PC, router, modem, Meta Quest Link app on my PC and my Quest 2. I've tried turning off and on the air link, have bluetooth enabled, it's currently connected to my 5g wi-fi on my router ect and I cannot fathom on how to get this thing to air link my PC, all it does is "Searching for PC" but has no problem connecting to my desktop via remote desktop. I'm at my wit ends here.
Pessoal, consegui emparelhar o quest 2 no meu pc por air link, mas não estou conseguindo transferir arquivo mp4 para o óculo, como posso fazer ? Pela biblioteca não dá para adicionar nada como no tutorial
i just got this issue last Thursday. search a lot of related information online, and found it was just a common issue since 2019. the fact is when i turn on my quest 3, it just jump to usb update mode. no matter i choose boot device, factory reset, sideload update, it just reboot the device and then jump to usb update mode again. if i choose power off, it will turn on again and stuck here while i try to charge my quest3. does it mean my quest 3 system was wiped out and only need to return it to meta for a fix? did anyone even solve this successfully before? appreciate for any answers. Latest update on Feb/21/2024, thanks for all answers here. Finally, i contacted Amazon for a replacement. They got a very nice after-sale service. even i bought this for 2 months, they just asked me to deliever my faulty one back and sent me a brand new one immediately and i got it on the second day.
So I have an oculus quest 1 and didn't play for a really long time. The account was deleted and although I managed to set up a new one and retrieve the games I can't connect to the headset. I have tried factory resetting the vr ,but every time I get to the set up for the oculus it keeps me stuck in the safety video with no way to progress
The connection USB- C Link doesn't work. My computer can't detect my devices, either with the original cable or with any other. Is there a new solution for this problem? It was working fine until the new V79 update. Thanks!
Oculus 3 cable link not connecting to PC 10/26/2025 I purchased my Oculus 3 a few months ago and it has been working flawlessly since then. On approximately October 22, 2025 when I logged into the cable link app an update was available and I installed it (Version 79.0.0.1143.381). Right after the install I tried to use the cable link and it would not connect to my PC. I have since tried to find the issue with no success.I have uninstalled and re-installed the cable link app multiple times. Checked my firewall, checked my permission, tried to move my cable to different ports, Googled the problem as well as Reedit with negative results. I have even purchased another cable, which didn’t work. Lastly I did a factory reset on my headset which also didn’t work.My headset works as it should. The cable I have is recognized by the headset but not the cable link app. My cable even charges the headset when not in use. I am at a lost on how to resolve this issue and need help.plus i can't fin
Receiving the undefined error when opening the meta horizon app to start the pairing process with a quest 2 headsetsame error in another thread where I have followed the same troubleshooting steps and there is no resolution in the thread other than to reach out privatelyreferenced thread: https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/PairingConnection/typeerror-cannot-read-property-type-of-undefined-on-meta-horizon-app---quest-3s-/1336285

During that, it encountered a problem, stating to restart PC and re-install.Problem is happenening again. Unable to istall PC Software now. And it does not give any hints whats wrong...All was working nice 4 days ago...Any idea? Thanks a lot
It pairs initially, I go through all of the setup then get to the safety video and it will not allow me to proceed. Meta also isn't allowing me to contact support about this, can anyone help?
Hi guyssince I have upgraded my Quest3 to v81 I suffer a problem with Link.I'm not able to connect to my pc via Wifi. It doesn't recognize any PC. I already reboot PC and quest3, reinstalled the pc app, restore to factory the quest3, and so on...If I use virtual desktop, I can pair quest 3 to PC via wifi. In the window of Link I don't have the switch to activate the wifi connection even if it is on in setings (in v79 I had a slider...). This is the screenshot on Link menù:could you help me? Is it possible to downgrade to v79?thanks
I just got a new Q3 last week and everything has worked perfectly until I bought the Meta charging dock/batteries. My right controller keeps shutting off every few minutes. Removing the meta rechargeable battery and replacing with a standard AA battery and theres no issue. Clearly is the dock system Ive reseated the battery, tried unpairing/pairing, restart, checking that the leads touch, blah blah blah. Ive returned the dock and got a replacement and same issue. Again, its obviously the meta branded dock and battery that's the issue. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or is the dock just a waste of money because they didnt make the batteries correctly? Extremely frustrating to spend all this money on a subpar product
I have three Meta Quest 3 controllers and I can't pair any of them. When I first got the glasses, they connected and I could use all three at the same time, but now I've been using them for over three months and the controllers don't work.
Just a note for the devs: Connecting to the computer (or router) by ethernet cable via a cheap gigabit USB-C ethernet dongle at the headset is FAR superior to USB or WiFi link. The motion-to-photon latency is down to ~25 ms or so, framerate is high, bitrate is huge, and there are NO framedrops. Even if I use a 10' extension cable so the dongle isn't hanging out of my head.By contrast, my beefy computer's USB-c still struggles despite setting to low bitrate and having a 5080 gpu. Drops frames often and has a latency more like 45-50 ms. I believe this is because USB shares too many resources with other computer processes and can't prioritize buffering the way ethernet cards naturally do.The headset's underlying android operating system already automatically recognizes usb ethernet dongles. You should sell a nice dongle with a long fiber optic / charging cable going to the headset. You'll make grips of cash because it's a better way to connect, hands down.Cheers!
Left controller not working tried doing all troubleshooting with I can, tried filling out a ticket to raise the problem but it’s not recognising any of the serial numbers from my products (Xbox version) so can’t get any help at all. Please help
Ok so I put a pattern code as my password.however when I tried to log in using it..The pattern of 3 rolls of dots appears out of sync so now I can't use my pattern to log in.and it's telling me that Factory Reset will lose all of my info and downloaded games..What can I do
I was given the option Monday to create pin or password. I chose password. Tonight, Quest is requesting pin instead of password. I decided to factory reset, now headset will not pair with the app after entering the pairing code. The app and headset are on the same wifi. I don't want to create another profile as there are games I do not want to lose or pay for again. Help
I got the Quest 3s a month ago and set it up to airlink and everything but today (10/22/2025) It's telling me I have to pair it to my computer when that has already been done. There's no error code or anything, I just try to use airlink and it shows my computer I select it, click pair, and it takes me to the pairing code screen, but on the link app for pc it doesn't bring anything up for the pairing code, the only thing that pops up says "Would you like to set up your Meta Quest 3s to your computer" or something like that, and every time I click "set up" it takes me to the screen where it shows both methods for linking, so I choose the airlink option and it takes me to the screen on how to set airlink up, but nothing happens.I've removed the device and added it back that didn't fix it, I have also done the repair feature for the quest link app, that didn't work, and of course I restarted both devices. Is anyone having/had this issue or have any answers on how to fix it? I cou
Hello. does anybody else have issues with the PC connecting to the Quest 3 headset. After updating to v81 on the Quest the Meta link app on my PC simply will not start anymore nor connect to the VR headset. Tried repairing and then reinstalling and the Meta Quest link App, manual disabling & enabling the oculus services, switching between air link and cable. .. One issue I found is that the OVR Library Service is not starting/running anymore, with fault code 18 given as reason.
I tried Remote Desktop on my Quest 3 (again) which is still on firmware v79. My Dell Laptop which is on Windows 11 25H2. Every time I connect to it, it blanks out the laptop's screen. If I go in to the Setting -> Display and try to extend it, it blinks as if it was going to come back on (laptop) and it blanks out again. Is there a fix for this??
I use 18m cable to charge and play games with my Quest 3s. When I play quest standalone games everything is fine. One I play with steam link I get the message that there is liquid or debris. Seem like a scam to me. I contacted support 3-4 times, was asked for the same information over and over and they just closed the ticket on me every time. Probably the worst customer support that I have every seen. I don't see why it works for weeks but when I try to use steam link it doesn't.
My Oculus (Meta Quest) is connected via Bluetooth to the Ipad. Meta Horizon recognises that they are connected. When I press Cast there is the screen for a couple of seconds saying that it is searching for headset, but then Meta Horizon suddenly closes. I suppose it is a simple software crash.I'm not able to report the issue because Meta doesn’t recognise that I have a device connected to my account. However, when I try to connect the device to my account it says that it is already connected. They also don’t want to recognise the serial number. I got the Oculus five years ago before Meta was involved, and it has been with me all the time, so clearly Meta is wrong about this. When I search for the issue, there seems to be lots of people having similar problems. Asking for factory reset is not acceptable solution for something that should very simple to solve. I realise it’s high time to upgrade my VR googles. I can get Meta Quest 3 to a much lower cost than the Oculus fiv
I accidentally dropped my left controller in a bucket of water. I immediately took out the battery and dried it as much as I can. Later i went to see if it was working and my controller didnt turn on but it said the controller was connected. Does anyone know what i should do to get it working again?
Quest2 does not work, it connected to the network but it says it has limmited conection, what do i do? i will return the device, because i am fed up with oculus setups!
My Quest 3 recently became unable to maintain a connection to my PC via link cable, rapidly connecting and disconnecting until it is unplugged . I verified it is not the PC or Cable itself that is the problem, by connecting my Quest 3s via the same cable, to the same PC, and it works fine. The question is whether I have a hardware issue or not. I am in the PTC and recently received V79.1030 Build 5115411.10640.520. The problem was intermittent with previous versions since v77 I think. If it's a problem with the build, I would expect that others may be having the same issue. If no one else is reporting the problem, then I probably have a hardware issue with the USB C port. Also, I recently noticed that I am recent AGAIN charging to 100% and getting the green light. Since v72 ish, I was unable to charge above 75%, but that problem is gone. So they ARE doing something with the charging (USB C?) circuitry
