I have one more quick question: after I leave the PTC, a small message always appears when I restart or turn off and on my glasses, saying "Something went wrong". Even restarting and a factory reset didn't help.
Moderators stop marking this issue as solved, it has never been solved! I've been through a dozen posts all with the same problem of using a link cable and randomly getting the liquid or debris in charging port message at random. You have never addressed and solved this issue.I've done an hour of help with your tech support, cleaned it as advised, replace the Link cable with a new higher quality one, forced a side load operating system update, and I still have this problem which appears completely at random. It's not a loose port, nothing happens when I wiggle the connection, it just will randomly pop up in the middle of a game and ruin my game by disconnecting from the PC.The only solution they offered is to send mine in and for $240 they would send me a new one. I have no reason to believe a new one won't have this problem possibly as well considering how widespread this problem has been reported. So, again I ask, what is the solution?Unless I say this is solved, it is not
I just updated to the newest Meta Quest Link software. Now on online multiplayer games, specifically Onward (on Quest Link) and Forefront (on SteamVR) have an issue where the right eye display is completely thrown/scaled/sized/warped incorrectly, its actually pretty nauseating. Weirdly it didn't do this with Into the Radius (on Quest Link) or CONVRGENCE (on SteamVR). When I switched the OpenXR runtime to SteamVR instead of Quest Link, the issue stopped on Forefront. I tried disabling asynchronous spacewarp and sliced encoding and that didn't fix the problem. Onward still displays fine on stand-alone. I tried running the repair function on the Quest Link setup exe but that did not fix the issue. Additionally, I ran Forefront on my PSVR2 with the PC adapter and it displayed fine.Idk if it's important, but for reference, I have a Radeon GPU (RX 7800 XT), which to my knowledge sometimes struggles with VR related software support. Although, because the direct-to-DP PSVR2 worked fine, I don'
Hi, my Meta Quest 3S is having some issues. My headset won't shut off, even when I try to force shut it down. My controllers will connect for a second and then immediately disconnect, even after replacing the batteries. And it keeps saying "Finding position in room" even though I'm in my usual spot and within my boundary. Any advice?
We are still dealing with one of the most persistent and frustrating bugs in the Quest Link ecosystem. I am making this post because the endless "three-dot loading screen" issue is still happening to users for days, weeks, or even months, and there has been no effective, consistent fix provided by Meta. The problem: My Meta Quest headset successfully connects to the PC app, which reports "Connected," but the headset itself gets stuck on the black screen with the three pulsing white dots indefinitely. I can often hear the PC audio, but I receive absolutely no video feed. This bug makes PC VR unusable.I have tried almost every known solution to fix this, including all standard and many advanced troubleshooting steps.
When I connect the USB-C cord to the head-set it briefly shows a battery icon with a 100% indicator and then the display goes black. I have tried to press the power button to get to the menu, but to no avail. When I try to press the power button and volume down button to get the headset to factory reset, nothing works. It is if the power button is not connecting to anything. Any clues as to how to rectify this issue. This device is not frequently used. Grandson tried to use it several days back and thought it just needed charging. Tried again today at 100% charge and power button will not respond.
Hi All,Solved: Repair the installation of the Oculus PC app by running the installer again and selecting repair. Mine took two attempts, as the first repair crashed mid-repair.Problem: When using Air Link to play wireless PCVR, I have no sound though the headset speakers or through headphones that are plugged into the headset. I DO have sound under all other circumstances and conditions, including playing PCVR via steam link and virtual desktop, and the headset by itself. I am unable to locate any existing advice that goes beyond the following settings, which all appear to be in line with recommendations. I doubt it matters, but my hardware is as follow:Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045Meta Link App Version 62.0.0.235.346 (62.0.0.235.346)CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700xMemory: 16GB DDR4 Mobo: TUF Gaming x570-PLUSGPU: PNY GeForce RTX® 4080 16GB XLR8 Gaming Verto Epic-X What I've tried:reinstalling Oculus on
Quest 2 I've problems with pairing from PC to Meta Horizon Mobile app. I've tried all the online solutions of resetting and rebooting, deleting cache etc, but head set still stuck on use this code screen. Any further suggestions are really welcomeThanks
My son’s headset is only four months old and the left controller has already stopped working. I’ve managed to get a return approved, but Meta won’t ship to Guernsey. I tried to work around this by using my courier in Southampton, but the return label requires the outgoing address to match the return address. That means I’d need to physically travel to Southampton just to post the item with the correct label — which is obviously unreasonable. It seems ridiculous that Meta can sell products to Guernsey, yet won’t support warranty returns from the same location. At the moment, I’m stuck with a faulty controller that’s still under warranty, simply because of an address restriction that I can’t do anything about.
Someone please help. Son had meta quest account in my name with my age. Then changed it to under 13. It now needs a new subscription and I cannot access the account as an adult to fix it. Would love to chat to someone but cannot find any details.
Hi all!my son was under my account, but he was promoted to start his own account as he’s over 13. Now when goes to his headset, he said he can’t do anything. There is a different username. Does he need to set up the account on the headset? what happens to all his content from his old account. thank you
Every time I get on my controllers don't stop disconnecting and no matter what I did, they wouldn't stop disconnecting randomly can someone help?
Hello,We are currently developing a military PC VR simulationWe are building a UE5-based simulation environment where the physical world and virtual simulation map must be precisely aligned. During development, we encountered several critical technical issues and would like to request your support. This is a simulation video we are making.https://youtube.com/shorts/01MnXlDY9Lk?si=JYbkpQ3iBNEAtmIRRemoval of Double-Tap Passthrough Option in Quest OS v81+Our device is updated to Quest OS V83.Previously, the Passthrough menu included a setting to toggle Passthrough by double-tapping the headset. However, this option seems to have been removed starting from v81.During playing: When user fire the Gas Gun, the physical recoil sometimes hits the headset This accidentally user the Double-Tap Passthrough, switching the view unexpectedly This is a critical issue during live, high-focus simulation sessionsQuestions:- Was this removal intentional or is it a known bug?- Is there any
Been using the new v83 (I think) launcher with the display which features the offset library app rows for the last few days and it's been great until I shut the headset down yesterday and let it do an update of some sort. Now when the headset boots up the two startup apps which usually great me don't execute so I just have an empty screen. When I press the horizon (infinity) controller button the library menu comes up with all my installed apps, but none of them will startup when I click them. All this was working fine yesterday before the update. I shut it down every evening and let it do an update if needed.More detail:On the left of the menu, the "Search" icon does not work, but the "Menu" Filter icon does and shows the All, Horizon+, Hidden, Prototypes, Unknown Sources and Downloads options. Below the Filter icon, the "Open Store" link is unresponsive and doesn't bring up the store when clicked. The bottom line of icons on the menu is not very responsiv
Hello everyone!I am trying to trigger eye tracking via Unity directly in the Unity Editor with Meta Quest Pro. When I build an apk, eye tracking works. But it doesn't work via Meta Quest Link. I have read repeatedly over the last few weeks that there have been problems with Quest Link. I wanted to ask if anyone has recently been able to implement a project in which eye tracking worked via Meta Quest Link and what tools were used.I have already read that ALVR via SteamVR is an option for transferring eye-tracking data, but I had problems with the packages. (My understanding is that you then need the SteamVR package and XR Interaction Toolkit instead of the Meta All-In-One SDK).As a side topic, another question would be whether it is currently normal for passthrough transmission on the Quest Pro to be very slow with the current Quest Link version, but to work normally with the Quest 3.My preference would actually be to do everything with the Meta Quest Link connection and the Meta Quest
i have a Q3 and a Dell Windows 11 PC. i've been plagued with the Link not connecting most of the time and finally getting it to link after many reboots of everything including my brain!!!!!the other day, Meta Support chat guy suggested that i download and run the MQL (Meta Quest Link) installer app and choose "Repair" on the 1st menu. i did so and IT WORKED!!!! ... until the next time i powered on my Q3 and went to Link. same prob. i tried the same fix and it worked again. the next time i tried it(yesterday) it did not work. indeed, the MQL software would not install saying it "cant find the Link server". i spent literally HOURS (more than 6) scouring the internet and AI and trying every fix i could find that sounded the least bit plausable. FINALLY last night i came up with a solution for the reason the app would not load...FIX *********** **************at some time during yesterday (or the night before) i turned my microsoft "One Driv
As the title states I cant download the app. After doing some research I found the existence of the Oculus log file and I get the following error:[Warning] [11/16/2025 4:31:12 PM] SSL certificate failed validation![Error] [11/16/2025 4:31:12 PM] Error fetching / parsing config.\nSystem.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.Ive cleared my SSL cache in internet options and that didnt help. My time, date, and time zone are correct as well. Anyone have this issue and a solution for it? Its crazy to me that this has to be this complicated. Ive never once in my life been unable to download anything. Thanks for any help
Hey everyone, I got my Quest 3s over 4 months ago, and less than 2 months in, my Quest decided to no longer charge. My device is stuck on 1% battery and doesn't turn on at all. I have tried multiple USB-C chargers that should definitely give it enough power, as well as holding down the power button for 20 seconds and the additional volume button, but nothing seems to work. I attempted to go through my warranty to get another device; however, it says, "We couldn’t find a device associated with the verification info provided. Please try again". This device is not a knock-off of any sort, and I received it as a gift from Verizon when bundling my home internet and phone plan. I think that it's absolutely insane that there is 0 way to get in contact with any support, not even AI support lol. Please, if someone knows a way to fix this or get in contact with someone who can actually help. I'm all ears

i migrated my oculus account over to meta a couple years ago. since then the email i used for all my accounts was hacked and i was able to reset it and change it to a good one. a few days ago an instagram account was set up under a different email i own and i had to get into it and delete it from my meta accounts. when i did this and then tried to log back into the meta app to play some elite dangerous, NON of my apps i purchased when my account was oculus are showing as purchased anymore. how can i resolve this? the support pages are about worthless when i try to search for it and ive followed the "log out of all meta sites and clear cache and cookies" with no luck. is there any way to get ahold of someone real on their tech team?
Like a million others I cant reach link service for god knows why, I just bought this CV1 From a guy for 40 bucks to get back into vr and I cant even use it. QWAVE is fine, I dumped the Localdata folder, Give me some esoteric knowledge so i can get back to doing what I enjoy. <3
Hi there,I registered my Meta Quest 3 at 9th of September to my Meta Account.Until now it is NOT visible at https://www.meta.com/my/devices/ .This is very bad, as you cant use the Support and ask them about it und also you cant get help on other issues.I am wondering because at https://auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices/ it is registered and visible (even with the serial number) on the same account.I also bought already two apps in the Meta Horizon store. For me it is a very annoying situation because I don't know how to get help.Someone has an idea what I can do about that? Thanks for your help in advanceThoralf
Hi, I have seen other posts regarding this issue and I have tried the Power button and volume down button for 30s+, nothing happens.I have tried contacting support, but even though in the Meta Horizons app, the MetaQuest3S shows up in my devices, it does not in the browser, and when I give the ChatBot my SN, it says it cannot be verified, and I did triple check, and I checked the SN in the app on the device and am using that same one. So, since i purchased it from BestBuy in June and not through MetaStore, the bot is blocking me from contacting support, and the device will not sync between the app and the website.I have tried 5, known/verified working chargers, and nothing happens. I left it charging for 48 hours to be completely sure, and nothing. No LEDs, no sound, nothing. What am I supposed to do if I can't get in contact with support?
Hey everyone, I’m kinda stuck here and hoping someone can help me out. My site works fine on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, but in Quest Browser it just gets caught in this endless redirect loop. It’s happening on my main page lewisestimating.com and I honestly have no idea why. I’ve checked all my HTTPS and redirect settings a million times and everything seems fine. Has anyone seen something like this in Quest before? I’m really lost here and would appreciate any tips or ideas.
PTC v81 update failureI updated to the new PTC v81 this afternoon and after the update was applied, progress bar and everything, the Q3 fails to finish booting. The Meta logo shows up, rotates more than 10 times and then the screen goes black. The backlight is still on for the panels but nothing works. The controllers don't work and I can't connect to it with my Meta Horizons android app. I can assume that the wifi is not working as the android app can't see it. Help.
