Is there a guide for creating custom outfits?
We would like to inform you of a recent change in our platform's default player settings in the recent version release V210. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance user experience, we have updated the default behavior for tapping the screen during gameplay. What's changed? Previously, tapping the screen outside of the control areas did not trigger any specific action. However, with V210, tapping the screen will now cause the player to jump by default. This change aims to provide a more intuitive and engaging experience for players. How to toggle between Tap Anywhere and Tap button We understand that some users may prefer the previous behavior or want to customize their experience. To accommodate this, we have added an option to toggle between "Tap anywhere" and "Tap button" in the Player Settings. To access this setting: Go to Player Settings> Controls Select Primary action controls Choose between Tap Anywhere (default) and Tap button By selecting "Tap button," you can revert
I am in the program and am very honored.thank you.
I'm trying to understand how to integrate gen ai with Horizon as a dev/creator... for example, suppose a user wants to generate a texture at runtime in-world, is there some way to connect with my external gen AI server? If there is no way for horizon to allow for me to send to my external server, does horizon have in-world functions/methods that support the use of gen AI? There was a session about this - but i had a prior commitment, will notes be provided - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Events-Calendar/Meta-Presents-Using-the-Power-of-Gen-AI-to-Master-Horizon-Worlds/ec-p/1312429#M48
Hi! I'm trying to learn how to upload a model with a metallic, shiny look. I've read the file naming guidelines, but unfortunately, after several attempts, I still can't get it to work. I must be doing something wrong. I'm exporting from Adobe Substance Painter. Is someone willing to look at my files and explain what I'm doing wrong?
Hi All,I am posting in relation to these articles put out by the Horizon development team:https://developers.meta.com/horizon/blog/build-faster-smarter-genai-tools-meta-horizon-worlds-mesh-genhttps://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/desktop-editor/generative-ai-creation-tools/generative-ai-mesh-generation-toolI spent some time over the last couple days trying these out and they are a lot of fun to use; but I have a couple questions:1. Is it possible to get a list of the prompts and models generated used in the demo video? I would like to know if there are any special keywords that give certain kinds of results. I am guessing some terms are more effective than others.2. Is it possible to use images (instead of or in conjunction with text) to create meshes? About a month ago, Andrew Price (Blender Guru) did a breakdown of several image-2-mesh tools including Trellis, Prism, Rodin, Hunyuan and Backflip. Being able to use 2d artwork to drive the mesh creation tool cou
New FTUE Dev Kit Now Available We’re excited to release the “FTUE (First Time User Experience) Dev Kit” Asset Template along with an example usage file: “FTUE Dev Kit w/ Example.” This toolkit is designed to help creators build intuitive First Time User Experiences (FTUEs) in their worlds—similar to an OOOBE or NUX flow. What’s included: FTUE Dev Kit (Prefab): A ready-to-use template you can drag and drop into your world. FTUE Dev Kit w/ Example: A version with a complete example usage baked in. How to use it: Drag and drop the kit into your world. Duplicate the empty objects, add your scripts, configure, and you’re done. Try out the example in an empty world to see how it works. What this helps you to achieve: Accelerates onboarding design with a no-code/low-code template. Minimal technical scripting required—just enough to kick off a chapter or tutorial. Streamlines user education, helping new players navigate your experience with ease. If you are looking for it simpl

Hello, how to get rid of this lines and shadow bleeding between modular road parts?example, big one is scale = 1. Small is scale = 0.1example in wireframe view:example of line between parts:It's made of 3 parts, when I set parts in bigger distance shadow bleeding disappears, but still I have ugly shadows in the curved road: The same model looks OK in Unity: How can I fix this?
Hello,I’ve been doing some tests and understand that audio files can't be uploaded, so I started experimenting with the sound recorder. However, I’ve run into a snag trying to figure out where the mic signal is being sourced from by default.I'm using a Focusrite 1820 in my studio setup, but I haven’t had any luck getting any recordings. Is there a video or guide that walks through the setup process? Or is there a specific setting that lets you select the recording device? Here’s the documentation I’ve been looking at:https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/code-blocks-and-gizmos/use-the-sound-recorder-gizmoAlso would being able to upload sound files be in the development pipeline in the future?

Hi,I have two local scriptsSomeLocalItem.tsAnotherLocalItem.tsSomeLocalItem has reference to Entity with AnotherLocalItem.I want:1) Inside SomeLocalItem invoke method on referenced AnotherLocalItem.2) Inside SomeLocalItem read some property from AnotherLocalItem.Note, both scripts are local, so Behaviour.ts doesn't work here without rewriting it to work locally. Is there simpler way?SomeLocalItem.tsimport * as hz from 'horizon/core';import { AnotherLocalItem } from 'AnotherLocalItem';class SomeLocalItem extends hz.Component<typeof SomeLocalItem> { static propsDefinition = { anotherLocalItemEntity: { type: hz.PropTypes.Entity } }; start() { this.connectCodeBlockEvent(this.entity, hz.CodeBlockEvents.OnButton1Down, () => {this.onButton1Down();}); } onButton1Down() { this.anotherLocalItem = this.props.anotherLocalItemEntity as AnotherLocalItem; // This doesn't work, how to assign the entity to the component?
Dear fellows MHCPToday I am having an issue with my payout account being under reviewHas anyone facing the same issue?Any response from admin would be greatly appreciated ❤️Have a good day everyone
I've created a world where I'm the collaborator. The world has the following publish settings: Visible to Public = OffMembers-Only World = OffBeta World = On / Off (it doesn't matter)Available Through = Mobile and web onlyThe issue is clicking on the world link (URL) on my Android phone opens up a blank page on the Meta Horizon app (see attached). I'm not able to access the world. This is only an issue for a non-collaborator (i.e. not invited user) is logged into the Meta Horizon app. I don't think it's a permissions issue because: A) The above publish settings should make the world accessible to non-collaborators and B) I can enter the world just fine on the web as a non-collaborator (i.e. not invited user). Since there's a competition going on and Feedback Festival is happening right now, this bug should be communicated to Meta SMEs so that they know they should access worlds via their desktop. This bug also of course needs to be fixed! This is what I see after clicking on the world '
My published world looks very different from how it appears in the editor.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Here are the differences I noticed:The lighting is extremely bright, and I lose important environment effects like pink smoke and the dark ambiance. The script that changes object colors works on the spotlights, but not on the "stab" on the floor (which is an Asset object).this is the Editor:This is the Publish: Here’s my world if anyone wants to try it and let me know if it works for them:Name: EverybodyQuizLink: https://horizon.meta.com/worlds/10229187571338836 Please help! 😢
[Direct link to release notes page]This week in v210, we introduced the Generative AI Mesh Gen Tool which allows creators to make textured 3D meshes for use in their worlds. Additional, exciting features were launched as well, including adding a player pooling gizmo, allowing custom audio uploads, and making it so creators can upload custom thumbnails to their worlds directly within the editor. V210 also included numerous quality of life improvements and bug fixes. Read on for more details on Meta Horizon v210: New Features Introducing Mesh Generation & Texture Generation Tools: Creators using the Horizon Desktop Editor in the US, UK, and Canada can now use the Mesh Generation and Texture Generation tools in the GenAI panel. Mesh Generation enables creators to easily and quickly create 3D meshes, while Texture Generation will allow creators to modify textures of any mesh, regardless of how it’s created. For more information on our suite of GenAI tools, read our
I have a world where a team with one designated captain get in a starship and travel to a star station. They can choose one of multiple star stations each at a different star.I have coded one star station and it takes up about 2.5 Gb. Now most of the star stations share textures and other resources, but still I am looking into some world or asset streaming way to split this up.If I choose the sublevel approach does that mean that everyone in my world must be in the same sublevel? Ideally I'd like it to be possible for different teams to choose different star stations.
new AssetPoolGizmo appears to auto spawn and 'assign' (set ownership?) of an asset to a player on world start Player.locomotionSpeed now a read/write property but... you can only call get() from a local script running on the player`s headset clarifying doc updates onAudioGizmo
Hi everyone, I'm trying (unsuccessfully so far) to force the aiming animation. I noticed that when you equip a weapon with the gun pose set, the animation plays for about 2 seconds (the player extends their forearm). I'd like to keep that animation active until the weapon is unequipped. Another way to achieve a similar result is by holding down the right mouse button—but without the camera focusing and without disabling the run. Is that possible?
Hi All,I just ran into a strange issue where the first user in my world can see imags in Custom UI, but any other users cannot. Is this a common issue, or have I encountered something unique? I am essentially trying to do what is documented here:https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/tutorial-worlds/custom-ui-examples-tutorial/station-2-image-from-asset/ Thanks!,Andrew
Why are collision events so bad at registering.. can I change it to continous detection like in unity? Getting sick of Having to use triggers on things I could do with simple collision. This is not just happening on fast moving object I can have a person walk into a wall stopping their movement due to Collison and half of the time get no registered collision event.
Hi all,I having a little issue with differentiating player and NPC.Side note: I have the NPC gizmo in the editor and enabled avatar ai_agent. I named my NPC "NameNPC"I have this script that was referenced from "Intro to desktop Editor and Typescript". I added some logic to check if it's an NPC. If it is an NPC it will print "Should be NPC". If it is a player it will print "Should be Player"Since I only have one NPC and myself. I was expecting to see "Should be Player" and "Should be NPC" printed onceHowever, not only was Should be Player printed three tiems, but it thought NPC was a player, than deleted the NPC and than said NPC is a player again. See attached belowThis would be a problem because I have other logic where enemies will check when player entered world and follow that player, but it will start following the NPC instead because it thinks the NPC is a playerHow come the NPC is treated as a player at the beginning? How can I make sure the NPC is never treated as a player - I
Hi Creators,1. Is there a meta support email to help with Payout method issues? If not below are my issues2. Routing Number: I'm not sure what my routing number is. Neither does my bank. They googled it and took a guess. I entered the routing number that my bank provided in my payout method, but I am unsure if it's correct. Is there a way to do a test deposit and a test withdrawl of a small amount - say $0.01 to see if it's correct? Similar to what paypal does when you first connect enter your bank information. SIDE NOTE: I'm in Canada, according to what the bank googled "a leading zero, the institution number, and the branch number all with no dashes" so that's what I did but I have no clue if it's correct without a test deposit.3. I entered my 10 digit phone number under Payout account info > Business phone number. But the first 2 digit is always missing
Hello everyone! pretty excited to be getting involved with the creator programme. I'm a dedicated creative person – been working in graphic design for around 20 years, so I'm always making something, I'm a bit on the quiet side always trying to perfect my craft. I've played around with 3D software a little, although may be a bit rusty now. i would pick back up in no time. i have brought my graffiti to life in Cinema4D & had my Blender donut in some crazy mashups. i would love to learn some tips and help others in anyway i can! I've got quite a few ideas and would love to team up with other talented creators to build some really interesting Horizon experiences. Basically, I'm sick of working as a loner & finally looking to collaborate, offer my ideas and skills, and help bring our collective visions to life. Plus, I'm always keen to pick up new skills along the way. If you're looking for someone easy-going to work with who's got a good visual eye a
