My quest 2 left side controller after changing battery becomes a brick, no more light and no respond as all. Is there any way to fix it?
Hi, I just factory reset my Quest 2, and when I verify that both devices are on the same wifi and I enter the 5-digit code, it just loads, and I think it times out and gives me an error that says couldn't pair with your headset on the app. I've tried reinstalling the app, rebooting both devices, factory resetting the Oculus again, and it still doesn't work. Can anybody help me?
I've been thinking to buy a external microphone for my quest 3 but I need help if someone can tell me if it would work with this microphone?
For over two weeks now, I’ve been in constant contact with the META Support Team. At first, I felt well taken care of. They gave me the impression that they were actively helping me troubleshoot the issue. They suggested various solutions. I tried every single one and repeatedly sent a report back to support. The result was always the same. After 3–5 minutes of use, the Quest 3 would start to freeze—the edges of the screen would turn black, and the headset and controllers would stop responding. At first, we assumed it was due to settings, drivers, or the application. I want to use the Quest 3 with MSFS 2024. But as it turned out, the "freezing" effect also occurred in the Meta World itself after 3–5 minutes. So it can’t be due to MSFS 2024. Nor is it due to the hardware or internet connection. Because my PC (I9 / 64GB DDR4 5200 / 2 TB SSD / NVIDIA GeForce 5070 Ti / 1000 Mbps download – 50 Mbps upload) is certainly well-suited for using a Quest 3. There’s also another factor:
My new meta quest 3 headset stuck at pairing screen. It displayed 5 digit pairing code but no matter how I tried to pair it with my mobile meta horizon app, I couldn't make it works. I tried tons of ways, tons of times, it still didn't work. I even sidelined latest firmware from cocaine.trade, it still didn't help. Connected it to force it manually updated using meta software updated tool, it didn't work either. I contacted meta support, they tried to help but couldn't. Anyone have any idea of what is going on with the headset, please share with me. Thanks!
Son's Oculus 2 will not allow him to bring up menu. He can access the lobby, but can't play anything or get into settings. We tried to sideboot update, but my pc couldn't find the headset.Any ideas or suggestions?
I recently built a computer and trying to get Meta app and Steam VR to make connections. It has an error message on top that says my "computer doesn't meet the updated minimum requirements" is there a way to get better detail what this means? I have i9 12th Gen, 128 gb ram, NVidia 5070, 1TB SSD, windows 11 Pro and tplink ax3000 for airlink. Besides that error message when I try to connect it gives me a pairing code in VR to link but on the PC App nothing pops up, then eventually my PC will error out and tell me failed and request a new code. It knows it's trying to connect but without the code I can't link.
Hi I am new to VR, I just bought a Quest 3 516gb and am trying to connect it to my PC, it's a Aftershock Ryzen 7700 + RX9070XT+ 32GB Ram. I connected my headset to pc using Type-C cable to 3.2 C-type at the back of my computer. I tested the connection speed, shows 2.9gps. But when I link the headset via cable or Wi-Fi to my pc all I see is a graphic white and gray screen, everything is jerky and Meta store screen and my controller pointers keeps appearing and disappearing. I have tried removing the devices and reinstalling the devices but same thing happens. The software is updated to the latest. So I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or missing something out, appreciate your help Thank You
earlier this week (October 18, 2025), my quest 2 headset has stopped appearing in file explorer and I cannot access it to get my photos, videos, or add mods to games. All other guides for fixing this issue are at least 3 years old and do not work as of 2025.
Anybody else having this issue where the headset shows as paired in the Meta Horizon app after a factory reset, but it’s NOT paired on the website at all?I’ve tried a lot of things and still couldn’t fix it. I reached out to support, but their solution was just to factory reset the headset again—which I’ve already done multiple times.I made sure to connect to a stronger Wi-Fi network, followed the factory reset process correctly, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the Meta Horizon app. Now I’m stuck on the pairing screen on the headset.
i have been trying to connect my meta quest 2 vr headset to the application so it can function but when i enter the code on the application it say's it couldnt pair with my headset i thought it was a software problem so i went to Sideload update and tryed to update it but everytime i reach 50% it disconect itself and stop working i tryed multiple times still same issue
I own an Oculus 1 headset that works perfectly fine.I just bought a second-hand Oculus 2 headset. It was factory reset by the seller. To initialize it, I turned it on, entered the Wi-Fi password, completed two or three updates, and it displayed a 6-digit code that I need to enter on my phone in the Meta Horizon app.So, I installed the app on my smartphone, and it immediately recognized my Oculus 1 (battery level, etc.), but I can’t connect the Oculus 2.I also installed the app on my PC and connected everything with a cable (USB 2, as I don’t have USB 3).The PC recognizes the headset, but the headset remains stuck on the screen with the 6-digit code.It suggests connecting to an organization, but I’m not part of one ;)Do you have any ideas to help me out of this situation?
I read a lot of post related to this issue here. In my case it started yesterday, plugged the usb cable and bang, it was the 1st time I saw that and of course no liquid or debris... my 1st assumption it could be something the the cable, so I plug a common (short) usb cable it worked (even with a 3.0 it the Meta was complaining it wasn't). So I got an adapter and tried the original long cable in the same usb 3.0 port, it worked, again yellow light warning for meta in Meta Link. With the 3.2 i plugged back my phone to test if that usb is somehow with defect, no, it works, only happens my Meta Quest 3 rejecting due "liquid and debris" issue. My Meta was updated to version 2.3 and this was my 1st attempt to try PC VR since this version. Can I downgrade it?
Hey everyone I'm in desperate need of some help here please. So bought the quest 3 for my daughter and for the last week she told me her right controller won't work. I've tried everything iv read online unpairing it and repairing but when I press the 2 buttons nothing happens...no light flash no vibration. On the app all I says its that the firmware is updating but I never get passed that screen. I think the only thing left for me to do would be to factory reset the whole device and see if that works but ready a previous post I found that never solved it. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated thanks
After last Meta Horizon update, my headset lost tracking, my left and right joystick left tracking too and also headset is stuck on three dots loading. I spend TWO full F***** days and did literaly everything. Reinstal windows, do everything with USB ports, buy USB hub, instal reinstal repair Horizont link, do power managment in windows for everything... please dont give me another list what to do cuz I REALY DID EVERYTHING !!! Spend two days with GPT that give me nearly everything what to do, I lost my mind cuz what I find is totall discusting. Meta time to time wreck your old VR to push you buy new one ? Nearly all communications on forums from Meta side ending " Looks like your cable is damaged, buy new one or you need buy new headset " BUT !!! I try Oculus killer and run steam VR , my headset work, and somehow headset tracking too, but my joysticks still not work. So can somebody explain to me, how is possible what Meta doing with Horizon link ? Like week ago, I used Rift S n
Meta Quest 3 128Gb headset wasn't charging well, thought port might be at fault. Took to tech shop who returned it saying they couldn't fix it due to 'software issue'. Tried it at home and could see Meta logo, connected to charging cable and logo vanished. Now seems dead.
I dont know how this even happens but its one of the most confusing bugs ive ever seen. on my monitor everything is fine and i can see myself moving around and I can still do stuff, but on my headset I see a frozen image and if I press the oculus button it opens up standalone and it says im playing link (happens when you crash link) the frozen image bends when i move which i think is normal??? my friend also has this problem so its almost definitely a link issue.
I can’t connect to controller
I want to bring attention to a growing issue that’s affecting honest secondhand buyers — and one that Meta really needs to address if they care about their ecosystem and community trust.I recently bought a Meta Quest 3 through Facebook Marketplace. The seller provided the original Meta Store receipt, everything looked completely legit. The device was unopened, sealed, activated without any issues. For a few days, it worked perfectly. Then, without warning, the device was remotely blocked by Meta.I contacted Meta support and was told that the original buyer (the seller) had filed a “lost in shipping” claim and received a full refund. Because of that, Meta had flagged the headset’s serial number as “lost/stolen” and bricked the device remotely — making it unusable, even though I’m now the legal, physical owner. They refused to unblock the device.Meanwhile, the seller won’t respond or take the item back. They got a full refund from Meta and my money — esse
I sent my headset in recently due to absolutely atrocious tracking problems. They sent me a refurbished headset to use with my existing controllers and it's completely unusable. The headset is stuck on the controller pairing screen and nothing I have tried will move it forward - I have removed the batteries (for an entire week). I've tried to force pair by holding down the flat and B/Y buttons (heck I've tried EVERY combination of buttons.) I can't connect the headset to my app, since it won't move past the controller screen so there's no way to force it to pair through the app. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the Oculus app. This is the THIRD Quest 3 I've owned that is essentially unusable. I have two open tickets that nobody from customer service will reply to. I now have a $600 useless brick. I was so excited for this product that I pre-ordered it because I love my Quest 2 so much. Jokes on me I guess! If anyone has tips on how to resolve this, how to get anyone from Meta to a
When attempting to connect to Windows 11 via Meta Link using the Quest 3, Windows froze and stopped responding. Only a forced reboot helped, and this happened both with a wired connection and via Wi-Fi (Air Link).I previously tried reinstalling Meta Horizon Link, but that didn't help. I then completely uninstalled the program using Revo Uninstaller and cleaned the registry, but that also didn't help. After that, I installed a clean version of Windows 11 on a separate drive to test Meta Horizon Link, and everything worked fine there. However, after a clean install of the main version of Windows, the problem persisted, although everything continued to work fine on the separate Windows drive. After another unsuccessful attempt, I thought the issue might be related to a conflict with the Windows version, specifically Windows 11 25h2. I tried a clean reinstall on Windows 11 24h2, but the error persisted there as well. Considering everything works on the separate Windows drive, it seems the
Basically said what it does in the title, but almost everytime i play Ghosts of Tabor through PCVR I can get maybe 2 games in before it decides the headset wants to freeze. I look at my monitor and the game is still going and tracking is still working on my headset and controllers. Yet the headset is stuck on a frozen image and wont do anything unless I restart the headset and computer. Ive done countless troubleshooting for it and nothing has worked. Also note that when this happens it brings up the standalone menu instead of the meta link menu when i press the meta button on my controller. I am using the official licensed LINK CABLE as well and have pretty powerful PC.
Hi everyone, I have a problem with the meta quest 3 viewer When I wear it it doesn't go into VR mode. Let me explain better in the viewer what I see is this writing, associate the viewer with the meta horizon app to continue and I see my hands, the monitor and everything that surrounds me in the room has definitely entered a mode from which I don't know how to get out I also tell you that I reset the VR and reinstalled the software on the PC and reconnected the VR via my smartphone. I await your help thanks Beppe
Every day for the last week I have constantly had to reboot and reboot my Starlink to get Meta's dreadful profile system to connect via my Starlink Internet connection. As usual, everything else works fine - all computers, consoles etc., just Meta's awful profile system cannot seem to handle Starlink. This has got noticeably worse over the last week. Are Meta going to join the rest of the universe and allow users to connect to their profiles and play the games they have bought? Or should I be asking for a refund due to the obvious ineptitude of Meta's programmers? Satellite Internet usage is growing, not decreasing, when is there going to be a fix for this?
