I don't really want to make my own controllers, but what I would like to build would be some gloves with a haptic bit in them (and use Hand Tracking instead)...Is there HW/SW documentation for building "peripherals" to the Quest?
I bought a oculus quest 2 without controllers how do I get pass the pairing screen to enable hand tracking I’ve tried everything I could find online and nothing worked please help
We are unable to pair (connect) 3 of our Quest 2 headsets to 3 of our Windows PCs with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 via Quest Link cable, after updating our headsets to the latest software. We have tried un-plugging and plugging the Quest Link cables, restarting our headsets and PCs, and even re-installing the Oculus desktop app. But nothing worked. Please help!
Meta Quest 3s worst device I ever purchased. Can’t connect device to app, did all the troubleshooting tips besides with Pc cause I don’t have one and that’s unfair to the customers who don’t have one cause now we out of 300 plus dollars. If the issue is a software issue regardless of warranty or not Meta should be able to fix it cause this is happening on their end. I’m a very dissatisfied customer and I’m looking into a class action lawsuit. Too many customers are experiencing the same issue with no solution. I dislike wasting my money especially when I work very hard to get the device for it to stop working on Meta part not mine. I’m highly disappointed, upset, frustrated and exhausted with this experience with this product.
Right controller is going nuts. Have deleted it and re added it three times. Cleaned it with air duster. Changed batteries. Nothing seems to work. They are only a month old. Need to know if I need to send them back and get new ones.
This is happening after 10-15 mins of use. I'll get a screen black-out and error messages that the headset is no longer tracking. However, the headset is still tracking as seen on the desktop display, just with no visuals on the headset.Sound and controllers are also glitchy and intermittent.Once everything collapses, a full computer restart usually brings everything back for 10-15 mins. This all strarted on about 20 Jan when the Meta Link got goosed. I have reinetalled software, checked cables and all the other tip. No other changes have been made and everything is capable of working, it just stops doing so after a while.
Can't connect my Quest 2 to my PC. The PC shows up in the list of available devices and the Quest 2 prompts me to confirm a pairing code on my PC but the PC doesn't show any. PC shows headset as connected but sends notifications saying no headset is connected?
I was using Airlink on and off just fine for 2 hours because my link cable sadly broke but switched to desktop to allow it to charge and now all of a sudden it refuses to connect/pair and says my PC isnt connected but steamlink can find it which I would use but it wont use my quest 2 mic at all for some reason.
🚨🚨HELP NEEDED PLEASE🚨🚨 I purchased 2 units from eBay, open box, meta quest 3. Both units will not move from the controller pair screen, im guessing im doing something wrong. But cant connect to the app since its never been paired, cant get past the controller pair, force pair didnt work, factory reset didnt work. Anyone have any clue?
My link software for the best couple days has had a "update" and it's completely bricked my whole software i can't connect or anything everytime it finishes downloading on step 1 it restarts the app and crashes then repeats over and over.
i tried removing from the meta horizon app and re pairing controller , it re-does a firmware update -> 100% -> success -> turns off and nothing happens when i go back to the app it shows the controller serial number but firmware is blank
I bought Meta Quest 3 today and I can't connect to the Horizon app. It finds it and when I enter the code it doesn't connect. It says it's an error. What can I do?
I've been using the Mixed Reality Link (Windows laptop) + Windows app (Quest 3) sucessfully at home, both devices connected over WiFi with great success.Today I am travelling by train and wanted to do the same thing. On the train, there is no WiFi, so I brought my USB-C cable, and tried to connect that way, but it does not work. I can see my laptop listed in the Windows app on the Quest 3, but I can not connect, and I can't create a new connection using the QR code either. Is it not supposed to work over cable?[The cable is fine; for an example, I can use the Meta Horizon Link app on Windows to connect that way. Win11 25H2 latest update 26200.7705, Quest 3 V85.1034]
I factory reset my Quest 2 to fix an issue with the game and it was reset and the device was removed from my account (according to my device list on the website). On my phone however it still said that I have a Quest linked to my account with the same serial number. It never connects and it I can't pair my Quest 2 again. I tried pairing to another account too and it didn't work. Can't even contact support since it requires a device to be registered to my account but it isn't anymore.Anyone have this issue and found a fix? I tried reinstalling the app several times, logging in and out, and another factory reset.
I removed an account from my Quest 2 a while back since the system would be lagging and sometimes quit back to account select when logging into it, and now want to add it back. When I follow the steps from the invite link, it tells me this account is already connected, despite not having a way to log into it. Is there a way around this that doesn't require a factory reset?
Hi everyone, need some help with a stuck setup.I'm trying to pair my new Quest 3 to my iPhone to finish the setup (and claim a referral), but I'm hitting a wall. The Specific Issue: The app detects the headset via Bluetooth, and I am able to enter the 5-digit pairing code shown in the lenses. However, immediately after entering the code, the app attempts to pair/connect but then fails with an error (screenshot attached). My Theory: I suspect this is a network permission bug. The Meta Horizon app needs "Local Network" access to finish the handshake, but the iOS system popup asking for this permission never appears. When I check iPhone Settings -> Meta Horizon, the "Local Network" toggle is completely missing. Only Location, Bluetooth, and Notifications are listed. What I have already tried:Reinstalled the app multiple times.Reset Network Settings on my iPhone (to force permission prompts).Factory Reset the Quest 3 multiple times.Tried connecting via Personal Hotspot (cellular data) to b
Hey guys,so i recently got a Meta Quest 3 for VR Gaming (MSFS2024) and i read quite a lot on how to properly set everything up to have a great experience. So eventuelly i decided to install Virtual desktop on the headset and the Streamer app on my PC.Furthermore, i bought a separate router (TP-Link Archer AXE75 AXE5400 Tri-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6E Router) and configured it as an access point. So the main router is in the living room, then an ethernet cable is going directly into my office, then i have the TP-Link router as access point (WAN is internet IN and LAN1 is out to PC) and then another ethernet cable to my PC). The access point sits on top of my PC case, so just 1m away from where i am sitting.I have the options of having 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz Wifi networks, but i only enabled 2.4 and 6GHz.Now i come to the issue:The problem i have is that if i power my headset on, it doesn't connect to the 6GHz Wifi since it states 'unable to connect'. I also have to keep the 2.4GHz enabled, othe
Hi, turned on my headset this morning after not using it for a few days, and found the main set up( like after a factory reset). Followed the prompts until the 5 digit code came up, tried paring it with the app but keep getting message saying cannot pair. ive done a manual factory reset. And same procedure. Didn’t help. I’ve updated the app. Also the quest 2 updates after the factory reset. both connected to same networkdeleted the app and reinstalled. when I try to create a ticket using serial number, it says device not supported. Logging into my account online shows no device connected to my account.however in app I can still see my device and serial number. At the moment I am unable you get past the paring screen. any help is greatly appreciated Regards Kris
iPhone Meta app shows old headset after factory reset and I cannot re-pair it. I am stuck in a pairing loop and need help. I factory reset my Oculus or Meta Quest headset. On the Meta website and on PC, my account correctly shows no devices. However, in the Meta Quest iPhone app, my old headset still appears and cannot be removed. Because of this, the iPhone app believes the headset already exists and will not allow pairing. I cannot remove the device, and I cannot re-pair the freshly factory-reset headset, leaving the headset unusable. I have factory reset the headset multiple times, removed the device from the Meta website, deleted and reinstalled the Meta Quest app on my iPhone, restarted the iPhone, and logged out and back into my Meta account. After reinstalling, the ghost headset still shows up only in the iPhone app even though it does not exist on my account online. This appears to be an iOS app cache or sync issue where the app is holding onto a device that no longer exists in
Where can I buy second hand quest 3 controller? Or i can get a replacement for free? Sorry this is for my son don't know anything about this...
For some reason, my Meta Quest 2 has decided to not connect to my home WiFi network completely today. It was working just fine yesterday, as I was on in the evening. But now, even though it shows the WiFi network, the strength on it is excellent, it's working on all my other devices and the three computers within my household, it just gives me the "Failed to connect to WiFi" on my Quest 2 every single time. I've tried all the "general solutions" that have been suggested... restart your headset, update your Oculus app, update your headset, reset your router, forget the network and reconnect, etc, etc... Everything short of a factory reset, which I'm trying to AVOID, as it's now a MESS to even set up an account anymore. I don't want to have to go thru all this if I don't have to. To say this is frustrating me is an understatement. I've not experienced issues like this over the years I've owned my headset, and now, I can't do anything but use it as a paperweight at the mo
Both my iphone and Quest 2 are set to the same wifi, I select cast on my quest and select my app from the menu and on my phone is says it is now casting but I see nothing. Anyway to fix this because it's a serious bummer that I can't play with my family with no way for them to see it
