According to this article: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/741121407333403/Only apps with “User profile” in their privacy could access your username.But it seems ambiguous to me with this article:https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/1583346005380795/Does this mean username is ALWAYS shared? Or only apps with “User profile” can access to username, name and picture?

my USB connecting fine its just that every time I plug in the display nothing happens not even a sound there is no visible damage on the wire whatsoever, can someone please explain how i can connect this 

I was having a hard time downloading a specific game and went through all the troubleshooting I could find only to end up by doing a factory reset of the device. I figured that should do it, but after performing the factory reset I brought the system back up and then asked it to download and install all the apps that I had installed previously. This seemed to work great and MANY apps were downloaded and installed (proving that I am logged in and connected properly) but I noticed that a list of apps slowly grew at the bottom of the notification page where it states that it os downloading the app, but there seems to be no progress and nothing happens. Other apps successfully loaded while these notifications stayed and finally all the other apps were successfully loaded. So basically from my left controller, I can rotate it 360 but I literally can’t move it. I think the tracking is messed up, but has anyone ever had this issue before and if so, does anyone have a fix?

I have  a Quest 2 headset that I use in locations with no WIFI or internet. I am trying to cast the headset to a laptop. I have set up a wireless network with a BT Hub 1 and both laptop and headset connect but when I try to cast to the laptop running win 11 and air receiver the headset reports no internet connection. Is it possible (and how) to cast the headset to a laptop without an internet connection. Any help appreciated

You are a billion dollar company who regularly gets their lunch eaten by a $20 app (if you're reading this just buy 'virtual remote desktop' and stop using meta). Today you patched airlink so that while it is running you CANNOT leave oculus home. cant double tap the headset for passthrough to the UI, just a message that says "you can resume" but I cant resume because oculus home has crashed for one of the 100's of reasons, but thanks this UI oversight I am trapped in the HMD. Nice job folks. Zero features, zero new QOL tools, zero HMD side debug tools. Nothing of value added, and again a worse experience. So to the 'moderators' whose best advice is submit feedback through the app, i cant it crashes because Meta sucks at their job. 

I tried to provide feedback to the Meta team on this issue but apparently they have no way of accepting feedback other than through this topic system, so apologies if this is already reported or isn't the place to report etc. I'm new to this platform. I purchased a Quest 3 and what was originally huge excitement to fire up the device soon turned into sheer frustration and almost regret at even buying it in the first place. I was unable to update the device for hours after switching it on because after connecting to my WIFI network it was constantly (literally every few seconds) connecting and disconnecting and wouldn't stop. I was completely unable to use the device. After spending hours looking at these forums, Reddit forums, Youtube videos and various websites for reasons why and trying all sorts of methods like resetting the device, resetting my router multiple times and even doing a complete factory reset, I finally found out that it's because the Quest 3 seems to struggle ope

My meta quest 3 controller won’t update. Just started having the problem when it tried to update the firmware. Right controller updated just fine. I’ve unpaired it and repaired it. I even factory reset my headset and that didn’t fix it either. 

When I tryed to put my email on http://www.meta.com/device it just keep on saying that it does not work I need help on how to fix this

I literally feel like im breaking my wrist to play shooters currently with how badly positioned the VR pointers are on my controllers with my new meta quest 3s.Seriously I saw forum posts about this over 2 years ago, and i see that NOTHING has been done about it.I am seriously about to begin a full refund request because this is just beyond stupid how badly the pointer can be in some games.seriously i am beyond shocked you have not had more complaints about this HORRID choice of inability to customize.

Hi, I’m experiencing a persistent issue with Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor on my PC. ive already tried restarting my computer, but it still gives me this prompt. i have no third party softwares and ive tried reinstalling the app 17 times. ive deleted the oculus setup files in the background of the screenshots but it still refuses to start installing. ive browsed the forum already and this is a common issue. does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Hello,I made the major mistake to install the last update of the Oculus client. Since then, my Oculus rift is stuttering in games. Nvidia drivers up to date.How can I go back to previous version please ?

Whats up VR people.I have a whole bunch of blu ray 3Ds that I ripped and turned into frame compatible format (SBS/ OU). I got tired of watching them on my epson projector and want to try watching in a VR helmet because Im pretty sure it will be better.Can a VR helmet properly decode and display something in native MVC 3D format? I think that would look better than the squashed down SBS versions, and, I can easily rerip the discs and obtain the files in the original unsquished native 3D format.If yes, is there a preferred VR device for this, or doesnt it matter?Thanks in advance for schooling me on this one

Hi allI've been using my Oculus Rift happily for some years now but at some point recently it seems that the "homes" that I had built and all the object that I had collected have just vanished.I now have a the "grey field" when I log in to my headset, All the games etc., seem to work okay but I do miss the homes I had built.Is it true that they have all gone for good ?ThanksDavid

After updates when going into hozion it will crash or lockup most of the time. Also when I try to bring up menu on left wrist will not show up. I have to exit horizon to go to different room. Unable to open couple of panels at same time like before. Before I could see panel different worlds, panel of my apps, panel of profile and friends. When I do look at worlds it has world I never been to. Why don't it show my favorite worlds? I want to open hozion world panel and see my spades, run out uno, puzzle. 

For a few days the view on my Quest 3 has been suddenly turning to the opposite direction every now and then. This occurs in all games. Is this a software bug or a hardware error? What can I do to fix it? There have not been any problems like this before on my Quest 3.

Graphic card is up to date, like Meta link software and headset with the latest drivers.I've deactivated firewall of W11. I have no antivirus.When I try to enter VR link mode, the meta logo appears and that's all. I tried PC link with the meta cable and with Airlink mode. Same result. I have a notification that says me y headset is not connected to my PC...In the meta link software, the headset status is green.I've comeback to the store, and they made some tests with another cable and my headset, it works. Meta please make the meta quest 3s compatible with the touch pro controllers a lot of people need them so i do, i cannot play with those controllers anymore the tracking is too trash i would be honest

so today i was trying to play any games but my region isnt followed so how could i play ?

Hi. When I put my oculus on and hit the menu button the screen won’t bring anything up. All it shows is the room. What do I need to do ?
