Yeah that's a bit negligent/ignorant.Its possible you could make progress by disconnecting the headset's battery for a while - a bit like cmos for pc - but to get to it would be a mission from what I have seen in tear-downs.However Meta should be able to tell you where the upgrade is stored waiting for applying and then have an official means of deleting or resetting it. Perhaps that can only be done by a technician however and it seems they would rather just swap it for another rather than fix it? and have the customer pay for it regardless. 😠My sympathies. Meta are kind of a useless company or so I have discovered.. and then they wonder why VR doesn't have as many customers as they would like....Do you have a small claims court where you live? Even if Meta don't want to show perhaps they will be prompted to reach a better settlement say a refurb for $170 ??? Good luck.
Recently I just played the Zombie Army VR cooperative mode with my father and both of us had a good time. After the gaming video had been recorded, I found that the video included SFX, BGM and MY VOICE. And there were NO my father’s voice. Can anyone help me or give me some advice? Thanks!
I've owned 3 quest 2s for years now and I've never had an issue with any of them.I decided to upgrade one of them to a quest 3. After about 4/5 months it stopped charging. Meta replaced it with a referb, which i wasn't happy about. I would have rather waited for my headset to be repaired because I knew it had been looked after. Who knows what was wrong with this other headset?I got the replacement and it lasted about a month and a half. One of the lens just stopped working.I contacted Meta and was treated differently this time. They told me it would take 48 hours to investigate, and wouldn't tell me anything. I then received an email asking me to describe how the damage was caused? I never said the headset was damaged, i said it stopped working. It feels like metal quest 3 has alot of technical issues and they're trying to put words in my mouth to get out of their responsibilities. It's feels very unscrupulous. The referb I was sent stopped working, why do they need 48 hours to investig
I have been having this problem sense 6/4/25, and I don't know how to fix it.First, Ever Time that I want to power off my Device it is a grey screen, and takes about 1-3 Minutes just to Power off. I did factory reset the device in hopes it will fix the problem, but I think it made it worse. Also, it powers up perfectly fine.Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
A few years back we could agree about the high price of these devices, but today they had never been so acessible. I own a Quest 2, 3 and PSVR2 and love all of them. But in the gaming communities people gets angry when a new VR game is announced, why? It seems there's some narrative that VR = bad. Most games on VR are in some level of immersive that none flatscreen game will ever be, even more when we talk about horror games. Why is so difficult to change the public opinion about playing on VR?
Hi, when I launch my quest 2 it comes up with a load of error messages saying multiple things are not responding and before I'm able to do anything restarts and keeps looping over and over. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it.
This photo is my desktop to show i have internet in the bottom right corner
my headset kept black screening, i went to repair using the app and now it wont let me repair or redownload the app, giving me the same prompt everytime.
My case is very strange. I've been using my Quest 3 to play PCVR since its launch, and until about a month ago, I had no problems. Recently, though, I've been noticing my headset begin to artifact as I play for 20-30 minutes or more on PC. When I plug in the headset and start playing on PC, nothing noticeable is wrong, and I'm able to play normally without any issues. However, after a seemingly random amount of time (again, usually after 20-30 minutes of playtime), my headset screens will begin to distort and artifact. It starts small, but gradually begins to overtake the screens to where it's unplayable. Unplugging and replugging in the headset seems to fix this issue, but this is not ideal as it can cause the OVR software to crash with certain games if they are not closed before disconnecting the headset. This only affects the headset screens and not my PC monitor, as I've been able to record gameplay through OBS with no issue. I've reinstalled the Quest Link software and got a
how do you know that?
Hello everyone, at this point I'm just going to post here but for about months I tried contacting the Meta support with the fact that my left controller is experiencing joystick drift. After about 15 mail and not a single instance of help, I genuinely have no more ideas on what to do. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
I know that Meta has said that Move no longer worked within the "architecture" of their operating system but I use my Quest almost exclusively for fitness and the loss of this app has really affected the utility of the Quest headset as a tool for exercising. It's a game changer in a negative way.
hey i’ve tried two accounts and i cant purchase this game on either one of them it just says unavailable i reached out to support and they said they didn’t have the game anymore which i dont think is true is there anyway i can buy this game on the meta quest 3
I can’t join any calls I went on another account and I was able to join calls and I went back and I still couldn’t join every time I join I immediately get kicked out of call I am able to join on my phone just not oculus what can I do to fix my problem? I played today and I was able to call I got off at about 3:30 PM and I got back on and I couldn’t join calls.
I cannot submit a support ticket, it refers me back to store.facebook.com, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to describe my problem here. My name is Patrick, I've bought my Oculus Quest 2 at that time around Halloween of 2021 and my headset refuses to charge. I've tried with the official out of the box charger + cable, after which I've tried with the official charger and my own cable, my own charger with official cable and my own charger + cable. None of the options worked. Unplugged my wall socket, outlet, redid, changed wall outlet with all 4 combinations as mentioned earlier, nothing, just a battery icon with no charge in it, with an electric discharge sign. It refuses to boot up.
Hello,I was testing out random features and saw a toggle for disabling the Proximity Sessor. I turned it on to see what it would do and now the option to toggle it off has disappeared in the headset. I have tried factory resetting all 3 different ways. Resetting all settings in the headset itself and the option to turn it back off, but it has still disappeared. The reason I need to turn it off is because of the picture below. I cannot now disable the sensor for 8 hours at a time in the Development Hub which is important for what I do. THERE IS NO SETTING IN THE GENERAL MENUE TO TOGGLE WHAT ITS ASKING BACK OFF IT DISSAPEARED AFTER I TURNED IT ON IN THE SETTING.
it annoys me so much that - even on the PTC - the staggered rollouts lead to random feature disparities or being unable to test new features as they come outso i have a few solutions to this issueA) make the PTC the channel with all features enabledB) introduce a canary channel with all features enabledC) add the features that depend on staggered rollouts to the experiments menuthe whole reason for this thread is i really want to test the navigator but i haven't received it yet
Can anyone point me in the direction of getting help, I have a brand new meta quest 3, the face shield seems broken. The little button on the right hand side seems stuck, like you can’t push it it to move the face shield in and out? The left works fine. The shield if you do move it also seems to move freely so while you can’t push the button in the shield moves but doesn’t lock in place? any idea how to fix this and if not how I can get a hold of support to help replace it. wWhile this is disappointing the headset is great, do I just upgrade to the silicon shield or will I have the same problem… seems a worry since I only opened the box getting home from travelling and have this issue, I’m worried i buy another one and it’s still broke … or there is a flaw? Anyone got any suggestions ?
I went to my optometrist two of them and asked them to measure my ipd value they both said its 73. I decided to look and see a video and it said I could use the phone app and I did and it had me hold a credit card on my forhead and on my eyebrows and take a picture and it would measure my ipd and it showed 72.5 for 1 and 73 for the other. So I watched another youtube video that showed I could measure my ipd using a millimeter ruler and a cardboard and I poke two holes to measure the ipd and then look out the two holes in the cardboard to see if I can see near and far, and I could not see neither near nor far.So, I lower my ipd until I bet around 69 to 70 millimeters and I can see both near and far!, SO maybe the measurements the doctors use don't actually measure my ipd so accurately. Then it occurred to me that if this is how to measure ipd then why does oculus and apple and other vr ar headset glasses makers do it this way? Poke two holes in a see through oled, show a
As the title says, I’ve been having a lot of issues with my Quest 2 power. Oftentimes, it will show as 100% charged, but then abruptly tell me low battery or just shut down entirely. I’ve done the basics, like change the charging cable, changed the power outlet, charged it for 2 hours, and even made sure my graphic settings were set to low so that it doesn’t drain and checked battery saver mode. It’s completely up to date, and even the external charging bank is the official Meta piece (elite strap and battery), but it’s still giving me issues. My headset gets treated well, never stored in high heat, always dry, and I even use the official case when taking it somewhere or putting up. What can I do?
I've been having the same problem to Everytime I get done playing on my games and when I shut it down it be taking like 2 to 3 minutes to shutdown and honestly this is why I don't play on my VR much anymore I may have to get another VR or just take it back to meta
I’m having the same issue, but I can’t even get it on my main account if I create a new account set location to America for some reason it works

Hey, i managed to contact support and gave them my serial number for my headset and asked if i was still able to receive the game as it was a promotion awhile back and managed to get it!
I see in another post that Meta are indeed coming out with RTX5000 drivers soon so SadHarold may be a little happier soon - provided he upgrades to v79 to avoid other problems 😒
