Am I missing something? I've tried all I can think of, it just won't snow....
Hi, new developer here,I’m trying to implement a simple rock-throwing mechanic, but the collision event for when the rock hits an NPC isn’t registering.I’ve tried using trigger zones as a workaround, but that doesn’t work either, since trigger zones in Horizon Worlds cannot move with the rock when it is thrown. Can anyone offer advice or a workaround for it?
Hello everyone, I've been noticing that the hats and shoe textures are having a problem. Seems as if they are being assigned the wrong height or depth map when rendering.
Not sure if I’m in the right place for this or not, for some reason I am unable to post on the creator forum... Anyone else from UK had issues with receiving payouts from MHCP. I’m being told that I am not the “financial account administrator” despite the fact it is my own account… Support is poor, to say the least. I have spent the last 18 hours trying to work this out and no one has given me even a glimmer of hope…
Will we get this fixed soon? If you put on newer avatar items made within the last week you remain dots/purple to fix this for now you just need to swap into some older clothing 1-2 weeks old and in most cases, it will make you visible again. Hopefully meta handles that soon. Then we also still have worlds crashing every 30 minutes or so still (been well over a month now) and everything has been extremely glitched out. With the new engine being worked on and meta pushing mobile gaming heavily right now I feel we will be suffering on the VR side for months to come until this new system is running!
I can't seem to get my newest created avatar items to work when going to a world. I load in as a generic purple avatar. But my custom avatar items have published successfully and show up in my avatar preview when equipping with these items. Just fails when I go to a world. HELP
"Mobile Innovation" Competition (MHCP Only): We're excited to announce our grand finale competition for 2025, Mobile Innovation! This competition finale for 2025 challenges creators to design and build experiences that redefine what's possible on mobile devices within Horizon Worlds. Whether it's optimizing for touch, designing out-of-the-box mobile-first interactions, or leveraging the unique capabilities of smartphones, this theme is all about pushing the boundaries of mobile creativity and capabilities on Meta Horizon. Visit the competition site (LINK LIVE AT 10AM PST) to learn more about the competition, how we'll judge, and what it will take for you to be eligible to win. Additionally, in v239 we're adding NoesisUI to the Horizon desktop editor! NoesisUI empowers users to build more robust and performant 2D UIs for their world. We are excited to announce that Noesis, a 2D UI solution, is now integrated into the Worlds Desktop Editor so that creators can build more compelling UI and high-performance 2D UI panels, without needing to rely on coding. Some of the key features of Noesis include: Richer Featureset: Create a Custom UI experience for your world, without needing complex work-arounds. High-Performance Rendering: Immediate responses and fluid animation means your Custom UI will keep up with the rendering of every frame. Easier/Faster UI Design and Iteration: Noesis Studio provides creators with a WYSIWYG visual editor, instead of having to rely just on code for designing UIs In addition, the XAML you build today in Desktop Editor can be ported to the future Meta Horizon Studio with just some asset path and UI script adjustments so your work can be transferred and duplicated easily. How it works: Creators will build their 2D UI panels in Noesis Studio, import the Noesis project into the Desktop Editor,
Has no one yet pointed out how totally confusing it is that theres a Meta Horizon Creator Program and a Meta Horizon Creator Partners program, and they both get referred to as MHCP in different places, where one has a Discord server and one doesnt; and you apply to join one or the other seperately. I've only just begun to figure out, but a clearer distinction between the two would definitely be helpful. The Creator Program would hugely benefit from a discord server imo
Hello!New to worlds development, so apologies if I'm missing something obvious in the docs.. We have a vision for a world that offers a main hub of activity, which has some central things to do, but then also provides pathways to a (developer time) dynamically set of sub-games / worlds that groups of players can engage in, with the goal of playing the sub game, updating some player state, then returning to the main hub after engaging in the sub-game. This architecture is envisioned to offer flexibility and separation of concerns for creating and maintaining the sub-games. Its also meant to allow more socialization in the main hub, but then more focused game play happening in the sub-game. The TLDR is.. how can / should we set this up? If I am understanding World Streaming correctly, this is not quite what we are looking for, as when you load in a sub-world its not player independent. Its more akin to dynamically loading an experience for ev
AI already responds with text that gets put into the speech bubble but devs do not have a way to access this text.I would love to be able to do so.It would let me persist NPCs responses to a player or save the chat history so that it can later be added to the context when the player returns. It would also let me parse for keywords and maybe have NPCs attitudes to players change depending on what was said.I could also use the responses to start quests, unlock doors, or give rewards.I'm not sure why NPCs text response isn't given to us but please do so or let me know how because I can't figure it out.

Hey fam, I’m a monetized creator here and trying to get access to the Clothing Studio / Avatar Fashion Tools so I can start designing and selling fits in Horizon Worlds.I’m on PC and don’t see the option in my Create tab.Can someone check if my account is eligible or let me know how to request access?Appreciate y’all!
Hello, I was recently accepted as a Horizon Creator. I've since created 62 pieces of clothing to wear/sell, I discovered that I can no longer wear 14 specific items when I went to wear a particular piece of clothing. I've tried clearing App cache/uninstalling & reinstalling the App/factory resetting my headset/changing the clothing on the Meta Mobile App(none of which have fixed it). I've deleted them from my Item Inventory(to find out that I can't wear them again when remaking them, I can't manually erase them Worlds Desktop Editor either). I still see the items I've deleted in my Avatar's Closet, Is there a way to permanently erase them from my account? Or have a Meta Staff Member manually take them off my account? So I can't view/select those specific 14 items that are corrupted.
Hi, I am trying to do the sim tycoon tutorial, accompanied with the world that Meta has set up for it (Sim Tycoon Template). However, there seem to be fundamental discrepancies between the content that the tutorial wants to guide through and the actual content in the world. For example (see screenshot showing both a section from the tutorial and the actual script), the tutorial talks about changing variables in the pickaxe "entity" (likely meaning script?) such as miningPower or durability. No such variables exist in the script, the screenshot shows other ones. Similar discrepancies are with the backpack section, maybe more. Am I missing something, or perhaps the tutorial was written for a (now outdated) different template version? I'd be happy for any sanity check on whether I am missing something or the tutorial is bunk. Thank you so much!
What a **bleep**show. I've now got a world that was working PERFECTLY but, since the latest update, lots of stuff isn't working and I've done nothing. Mostly the problems relate to triggers that move items. Now the items either don't move at all or they move in a really broken/glitchy manner. Totally sick of this ecosystem and the lack of listening from the so called "developers". Nothing changes, it just gets worse. I can't wait until the Steam Frame drops. Horizon worlds is just a broken joke at this point. So many bugs are now completely baked into the editor/worlds and no attempt whatsoever has been made to fix them, despite umpteen people making multiple reports about them. If you're going to push through stuff that actually BREAKS PREVIOUSLY WORKING WORLD FUNCTIONALITY then you can just forget about having an ecosystem where people spend time on their worlds to add interesting stuff. What's the point. The people behind the development of this crippled app are abs
in the clothing creation I am getting blocked from uploading my own texture file that I created, saying it goes against the rules. It is very kid friendly and no ip or anything. Meanwhile, the AI generator gave me something that looked like it said “bit**” on it. is there an approval process we could submit textures to bypass the system?
It seems like Noone at Meta is aware that their AI generation tool is broken since the last update. It will not create 3d models. I noticed the sample images for choosing the model is way different and doesnt look like a model image. And then when you generate, it just creates a flat mesh with the texture image placed on top.
I'm wondering when Meta are going to really go all out to make an update that stops us from turning our headsets on AT ALL.They're spooked that they're losing so much money on Horizons, and that everyone thinks it's rubbish, YET WITH EVERY UPDATE THEY BREAK MORE STUFF.Now we have people unable to sit properly on chairs, people unable to change into recently created clothing, the MONTHS OLD VOICE BUG WHERE PEOPLE HAVE TO MUTE AND UNMUTE ON ENTERING A WORLD TO BE ABLE TO BE HEARD, the "Oh, you want to join your friends in an instance where there are only 3 people? NO PROBLEM, we'll put you in a brand new, isolated instance of your own" bug, and a plethora of others. Seriously, who's doing this, retards? Is this an actual joke? Is Mark just sitting at home pissing himself laughing at what a hilarious mess he's presiding over? This is absolutely disastrous. Furthermore, as a developer myself I understand that, if an issue is spotted, ANY TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL CAN FIX IT VERY QUICKLY or at
Is this possible - would be so convenient for assignment..
none of my pre-existing items are appearing in the Commerce menu for any of my worlds. If I try to make a new item, I see it listed for a split second then the list is empty again. This seemed to be working fine yesterday morning. When I look up all my items for my account at https://horizon.meta.com/creator/avatars I see all my IWP items are present. But for some reason are not registering in the editor for me.Any ideas? I've done a quick search and can't find any prior reports of a similar issue.
Hi everyone! 🙂I could really use a hand with something odd I’m seeing—and I’m trying to avoid adding more violations to my account. What’s happeningI upload my own, non-offensive textures (these include logos as well as styles) and they look fine at first—no flags. The violations show up only when I enable IWP, and I’m also seeing inconsistencies in overall texture vetting (not just IWP).I received back-to-back violation notices across multiple items.I appealed and ~5 minutes later (felt automated), some items with the exact same logo/style were approved, while others stayed restricted—so decisions are inconsistent across identical assets. Why I’m concernedI’m pausing new listings because I don’t want to trigger more violations while I troubleshoot. The mixed decisions—both in IWP review and general texture vetting—make it hard to know what to fix. What I’ve triedDouble-checked the textures, logos, and style elements against policy.Compared names, thumbnails, and descriptions between appro
Good morning!I've been having this issue multiple times for the past weeks where I open Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor and this error pops up:"Something went wrong, please restart the application or try again"However, this time started yesterday afternoon and it's still happening. With the MHCP deadline so close I'm afraid I might not be able to publish the game in time. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?ThanksP.S: I've tried both the editors from the Meta Quest App and the standalone one.
I was accepted into the Meta Creator Program and I'd really like to join the MHCP Discord server, but can't find a link to that in any of my emails. People keep asking me if I'm on that server, but I don't know how to get there. Can someone please advise me on how to find and join this Discord? Thanks so much! Also - a related question... I've seen some comments on here stating that you guys prefer that people use Forums, but yet other comments where you mention Discord and adding people to the Discord server. Are you actively using both?
Hello,Regarding the features marked with arrows in this screenshot (see attached), are they:Simply not yet released and active for everyone?Or do they require a separate application and access to a Meta Horizon Studio Beta version of the editor? If it's the latter, could you please point me to where I can apply for the Beta? I never get the email reply...Thank you.
