Quite everything like unpairing and repairing to the app and I also tried resetting my VR headset nothing seem to work. It also tried to update itself in the headset it said it succeeded but then never connected. yes i have done everything even factory resetting now my headset is stuck because my controller wont pair and its still blinking HELPP PLSSS
Hi all, I'm trying to capture the Quest's built‑in **microphones as separate raw channels** (not the single processed/beamformed stream apps normally receive) for [**custom beamforming / direction‑of‑arrival / spatial‑audio capture research — adjust to your use case**]. I've done a fair amount of digging and want to confirm whether this is possible through any supported path before I go further. **TL;DR question:** Is there any supported way — a permission, entitlement, system/privileged API, or enterprise/MDM config — for an app to capture the built‑in mic array as **≥3 independent channels** on Quest 3 / Quest 3S? And is a multichannel/raw‑mic‑array capture API on the Horizon OS roadmap? **What I've verified (Quest 3, Horizon OS on Android 14 / API 34, Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 / SXR2230P):** - **AudioRecord** with `AudioFormat.Builder().setChannelIndexMask(...)`: `0x3` (2ch) initializes, but `0x7` (3ch) and higher **fail to initialize**. `AudioDeviceInfo` for `TYPE_BU
Hello. A factory reset completely bricked my Meta Quest 3S. The screen is now stuck on a solid gray color. The Meta Horizon app unpaired from my device, and it is impossible to re-pair it. Regular support denied my replacement because the system says it is out of warranty. Additionally, I am physically unable to mail back or return this broken unit. Can a human moderator please help review my case for a courtesy solution? Thank you. @MetaQuestSupport
Would like some feedback from users on the meta quest 3. Wanting to know in's and out's before I purchase. what would you do different, and if you would get after market products to enhance your experience, recommend games. Again thanks for your time and effort
Hello Dear Meta Community and Developers,Im Raptor, I am an Analyst We all know that the two biggest hurdles for mass VR adoption are device weight and cost. Reducing the actual weight of the headset requires billions of dollars in R&D to shrink components. But what if we solve this problem mechanically and cost-effectively? Imagine a lightweight, affordable, and simple wearable vest or a spine-rail system My Proposal: A Mechanical Weight-Distribution Wearable (Vest/Spine Rail System) Instead of trying to make the headset lighter right away, we can distribute the weight to the strongest part of the human body the back.Tension/Rail System: A simple mechanical rail or tension wire connects from the back of the vest to the headset, pulling the front-heavy weight gently backward and transferring the load straight to the shoulders and back.Zero Neck Strain: This would completely eliminate neck fatigue and the "front-heavy" feeling of the Quest 3, allowing user
Hi, I was wondering whether the username “purpul” might be reclaimable or releasable because the account has been inactive for a prolonged period of time. I use this username consistently across platforms and would love to use it on Meta Quest as well. I understand if it isn’t possible, but I wanted to check whether support could review it.

Please develop a more comfortable almost helmet type device. I enjoy watching prime but the straps get uncomfortable after a while as well as nose pice. Couldn’t an adaptable motorcycle type helmet with fans and maybe open mouth area work better? I’d pay more if it’s a cost issue. Looking for comfort and full enclosed around the back of the head.
So today is my birthday and I was wondering if Meta offers any sort of Birthday gift? I'd assume not since most don't but how awesome would it be if you woke up with an email from Meta saying "Happy Birthday! We've added £XX amount of funds to your credit!" or even giving you something like a 50% discount code to use which lasts for the month.
I updated my quest over night and was shocked my virtual environments all are missing. Is there a way back? I don’t like the new ones especially in the foreground as they are not realistic, they don’t blend in, design from foreground to background is not aligned. Sadly it’s not a quality update. I miss my original home environment, the dome - that was my first introduction to VR and I dearly miss it!I miss my winter lodge, my balloons, my Japanese home, my space station, my very cyber punk futuristic apartment, my hobbit cave, my mountain campfire, my forest lodge …Depending on the mood you could change them, now I feel a bit lost with the low quality environments (especially in the foreground) and my old themes missing. I would have never updated had I know the environments will be gone. Is there a way back? A hidden menu? Are there plans to integrate the old environments?
every time i try to connect my quest3 to steamlink it says computer stopped responding. does anyone have answers?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP_8_8LAi4Igo to like 10:05 on, if you are bored 10:35, 10:42 is where it gets good because people will checkout before it even gets goodI never felt that playing Eve. The active counter measures at 11:48 that go to the front make it more dramatic and that cone of fire aim bot at 11:57 is also genius.
I understand that Meta has its own economic reasons for shutting down some parts of Worlds and making it mainly available as a mobile app, while leaving only old worlds accessible on the VR platform. For some time now, Horizon Central has no longer been functioning properly and is already showing signs of its upcoming closure to the public. In Central, in fact, it is no longer possible to talk with other people because everyone is muted.Instead of preventing the many people who still visit Horizon Central every day from talking to each other, Meta should simply place a notice explaining that, in a few days, Worlds will mainly be accessible from mobile devices, that only some worlds will remain available in VR, and that Horizon Central itself will no longer be available. It would be a respectful gesture toward the many users who are attached to this platform and who will genuinely miss it.
Hello, my name is Mateus Camargo, I'm a developer from Brazil, and I recently got a Meta Quest 3S. While the hardware itself is impressive, the software experience has some severe flaws. I’d like to highlight three major issues that aren't just bothering me, but a significant portion of the community as well. 1. System Performance and FluidityThe Horizon OS feels noticeably unoptimized. Simple tasks lack fluidity, and occasional stutters break the immersion entirely. Paradoxically, each system update seems to degrade performance instead of improving it. The OS needs a deep optimization pass to become lighter, more responsive, and efficient. 2. Lack of Environment Variety (The Horizon Home)The Horizon Home experience has become incredibly monotonous. We used to have access to a wider variety of environments. While the new default environment (Valley) looks beautiful, the current lack of options feels like a step backward. Stripping away diversity ruins the personal connection
I just saw this 😁
Traveling is one of the most exciting experiences one can have. It is a great way to learn about new cultures, taste exotic foods, and see breathtaking views😉I am going to share my travel experience from Cambodia to Bali. Cambodia: The Beginning of My Journey My travel journey began in Cambodia, a country known for its rich history, ancient temples, and delicious cuisine. I started my trip by exploring the famous Angkor Wat temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The intricate carvings and stunning architecture of the temple were simply breathtaking. Siem Reap: The Gateway to Angkor Wat After exploring Angkor Wat, I headed to Siem Reap, a charming city located near the temple complex. I spent a few days in Siem Reap, exploring the local markets, trying out street food, and interacting with the friendly locals. Phnom Penh: The Capital City of Cambodia My next stop was Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. The city is known for its vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, and fasci
LPDDR5 (Low Power Double Data Rate 5) memory, introduced around 2019, represented a significant advancement in mobile DRAM technology. It supports data rates up to 6.4 Gbps, delivering improved bandwidth and energy efficiency compared to prior generations such as LPDDR4X. This standard incorporates features like dynamic voltage scaling and enhanced data handling mechanisms, which contribute to better performance in power-constrained environments while maintaining thermal stability. LPDDR5 has been widely adopted in mid-to-high-end mobile devices, providing a solid foundation for multitasking, graphics-intensive applications, and early AI workloads.b707f5LPDDR5X, released as an evolutionary enhancement in 2021, builds directly upon the LPDDR5 architecture with notable improvements in speed, efficiency, and signal integrity. It achieves maximum data rates of up to 8.533 Gbps (or higher in optimized implementations), representing approximately a 33% increase over standard LPDDR5. This tra
I'm currently trying to buy blade and sorcery with my quest cash from my gift card and the store keeps saying "error occurred file an appeal" and stuff so obviously I contacted support but no response or change. I still can't buy my games. I am very frustrated with Meta, please fix this ASAP.
you cant play csgo with a controller. but i got an injury and had to either not play or learn to use a controller, so i learned how to setup the controller for the ps4 controller and the xbox 360 controller.i attached my cfg files you use with the joytokey program for the csgo game using either the ps4 controller or xbox 360 controller.first you need a basic mouse sensitivity, in csgo its 2.5. this is the joytokey cursor movement at 100.second you need to calibrate the joytokey cursor movement. this part is tricky because you have recoil in the game when you shoot, and if you set the vertical cursor movement to equal the horizontal cursor movement then you get bad recoil, when you shoot then move your mouse on the moving target your mouse adds recoil to the gun. so you want the horizontal value large at 100, to equal the mouse sensitivity in the game, and you tweak the vertical value to only be enough you can shoot and win and see, not perfectly itll look too slow
Has anyone else had to deal with this...I bought a Meta Quest 3, and when it arrived at my home, it turned out to be defective and would not charge.I wrote Meta support and tried all their suggestions. Nothing helped. Finally, they sent me a RMA return label and instructions to reset it back to factory and send the whole kit back for replacement.I followed their directions, and got the packages shipped back to them. However, when they received it, I get no replacement. When I asked about it, they then said that I should not have included the controllers (though their directions said to remove their batteries before sending). They told me I would have to wait for those to be sent back to me, and they provided another RMA label for those. The controllers came back, and I sent them back as instructed. The tracking shows that they arrived, and were signed for on April 27, 2026. However, their website still says "Awaiting arrival".I keep writing support and trying to get some help. I sent them
Ok pardon the language but this is asinine.i have the Quest 2, paired with a pair of Touch Pro controllers. The idea that, in 2025, that the controllers can be upgraded by software is great. But an update that happens on its own schedule, and ESPECIALLY without a visible progress bar to TELL you it’s happening is ridiculous. I use my VR to workout, and I have a finite amount if time to squeeze said workout in. To get my gear ready, turn on the VR, and have the controllers not appear is frustrating. Then to not have ANY way of knowing what’s happening, and, even if i have a suspicion that it’s an update and not have a progress bar (that is the default displayed in everything from routers, to game consoles, pc firmware updates and even 3d printers) in 2025, is downright embarrassing.Sure, updates need to happen, absolutely. A better and more congenial design would be to:Let users know an update is availableAllow the user to initiate the download
Recently, my client company provided me with a computer for home use. I wanted to use my personal MetaQuest 3 for remote desktop work, so I contacted the company to request permission to install Mixed Reality Link on the computer. However, they refused, citing a potential violation of their commercial use policy. Is using remote desktop for work truly a violation of their commercial use policy? If so, could you please tell me where that policy is stated? Sorry if it's difficult to read due to translation. Thank you.
Hi everyone,After updating to Quest3 v2.4.1034, I noticed that the system background ambient sound is still present in the home environment. Personally, I find this sound unnecessary and sometimes distracting, especially when I am watching videos, using the browser, connecting to PCVR, or simply staying in the home menu.I think Meta should either remove this background sound effect, or at least provide a simple option to turn it off.A good solution would be:Settings > Audio > Background / Ambient Sound > On / OffThis would allow users who enjoy the atmosphere to keep it enabled, while users who prefer a quiet environment could disable it completely. For VR devices, comfort and immersion are very personal. Some users like ambient effects, but others may find them annoying, tiring, or distracting. Giving users control over this setting would make the Quest experience better for everyone. Please consider adding an option to disable system background ambient sounds in a future Quest
Hi. Does anyone have any advice on how to wash the standard head strap for my Meta Quest 3S? Thanks!
