I REALLY, TRULY don't have patience for this!! I get so angry when garbage I paid big money for doesn't work and I have to start wasting my precious time, looking for solutions, rather than enjoying what I paid for!First it's the:"Your computer doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications..."Now in the headset:"Couldn't Launch Quest LinkQuest Link can not be launched because your headset and Oculus PC app are not compatible. Please update them to the latest software version, then try again."The problem with the above sentence is that it doesn't take into account , that this is a BRAND NEW LAPTOP WITH BRAND NEW INSTALL OF THE OCULUS APP!!!!EVERYTHING is first time, freshly installed!!!!! I mean this is infuriating!!!! Prior to download Steam and Oculus app, everything was updated, latest NVidia drivers download then whatever is on the main page of Oculus/Meta and Steam has been downloaded and installed.If I have installed something old, then it's on YOU, because I downloaded off

HI, My idea is to connect my Quest 2 with a cable and quest link, use my desktop web browser to watch Youtube vr videos. No matter what format they are, I always get the flat video. No 3d immersion whatsoever. What I need to do to watch those videos in full immersive vr (not a projection to a screen in front ?  

My quest 3 is stuck on 71.0 and there seems to be no way to get 72.0. I've tried using the quest update tool and it just reinstalled 71.0. Whats going on with this? I don't see any other posts about other people having this issue.

I got my device 2 days ago. I saw that other people got the V72 update like 2-3 weeks ago. Why is my device still not getting this update? I also checked if there is a problem with my device with the serial number from the Meta's site, but there is no problem. When will the V72 update come to my device?

Is there a way to scan and a qr code that is on my PC or phone, and view the image on my oculus?

Long-story short; a Windows update forced me to do a clean install of Windows on my SSD.  I didn't save anything from the previous install--wiped the SSD and started fresh.  I am unable to install the Oculus software now.  The installer runs to what appears to be 100% complete, but then I get a message "Restart Computer- Sorry, we encountered an error during installation.  Please restart your computer and try running Oculus Setup again.  If you still experience issues, contact Oculus Support."I've restarted and tried (numerous times); I've also tried manually deleting the remnants of the failed install, rebooting, and trying again.  It constantly fails.  I considered trying to install the software to a different drive, however the setup program doesn't allow me to alter the default installation folder/drive.Any ideas?

Hi, we have purchased a big amount of Quest 2 for a client and would like to rename the devices as they appear all with the same name "Quest 2" when you want to stream one of them. Is there any way to rename them? Quest2-01 for example Thanks in advance

I just bought a quest 3. It's amazing and i love it but i want to experienced all the possibilities and i'd like to show to my wife how incredible it is. I tried to show her some 360 vidéos in YouTube VR but the quality was horrible. So, Except video games, what is the most "wahou" experience you had with the VR, so far ? Tourism, vidéo, film, walk, etc... I don't really care but it has to be outstanding !

I'm planning to buy a meta quest 3, though I really want face tracking to track my facial expression. I am aware that it doesn't have face tracking, so is there any devices I can buy separately so I can connect to meta quest 3 for facial expression tracking? If not will that feature be added in the future and how sure are they to add the feature. If not is there any other affordable vr that has facial tracking?

My Meta quest three that I have had has been great best purchase, except for about a month ago.  About a month ago when I was powering off my headset from playing it had an update, so like any other person I waited a few minutes.  Then 20 minutes came and I was curious so I checked on it, and it was still updating so I waited longer.Then after about 3 hours I was too tired and went to bed.  The next morning I woke up and it was STILL updating, so I got tired of it and just canceled the update now I know it may have not been the best option but hold on.  Then two days later I tried it again and a hour goes by and still the update wasn't done.  It has made it so I can't play any games on it and it sits in my room for now, when I posted this it is updating and I will leave it overnight to see if it does something new. I will stay in touch though I will look at this post every week on Sunday to see if anyone has a solution for this thank you and bye.

I was sent a referral link to purchase a Quest 2. Then i used the link and it ask me to create my Oculus account etc.When i go to my profile on this site, i could not find the referral credit or a confirmation about receiving the referral, and when i try to use my link again, it said i already used a referral link to this account. Why didn’t I receive the credit?

Brand new Quest 3s, just received (its literally Christmas day).Quest kept going to a blank screen once the loading logo disappeared, left hours incase it was doing something with no change, soft resets result in loading Logo then blank screen.Eventually attempted the factory reset on the device, this took me through the reset, deleting screen etc, then the device restarted. It now goes straight to the boot screen on a restart, the option "boot device" just reloads the boot screen, and any further attempt to factory reset does nothing, just takes me back to the same boot screen. It does nothing else, even turning it off results in it starting itself back up and going to boot screen.Help!P.s. Do meta not have any support at all other than fans and pushing their customers to the community forum? There appears to be no way at all of getting in touch with them when there's a problem with a device.

Hi any help would be much appreciated. I have just bought a Meta Quest 3 for my son and was really shocked when random voices came through headset. Yes I was not aware ! How can I turn this off in games : Gorilla Tag being one of them. Or at least turn down the volume completely so we cannot hear them. Surely this is dangerous for users under 18, who could be exposed to any kind of content and a feeding ground and open opportunity for "certain people ( begining with P ) targeting young children and teenagers", or in the same manner be an issue for parents who don't want their kids being exposed to the inner household audio talk of just about ANYONE. Surely there must be a way around this, than to not limit/ restrict decent children's right to play safely. Please help. No other gaming platform forces you to have this. 

After the update, the VR went black. When turning it on, it showed the LOGO and a computer chip with a green progress bar. Now it can't be turned on, can't be charged, and the indicator light doesn't come on. All of these are caused by this update. Is it broken? Why is there such a big bug? Can the VR be fixed? I'm asking the technical staff to give me a reply.

Hi, just got my 10 year old a quest 3s for Xmas. I’m trying to put a gift card on his account but he doesn’t have a wallet. I assume this is because it’s a pre teen account. Is there any way I can add the gift card to his account? Cheers in advance.

Hallo,ich habe mir gestern eine neue meta quest 3 gekauft und wollte diese heute einrichten , aber das erste update für die Brille lädt einfach nicht runter bzw bleibt ab einem gewissen punkt stehen woraufhin die Brille oft Neustartet aber es nichts bringt , ich habe auch schon mehrere resets durchgeführt und versucht über meinen Pc manuell das update drauf zu spielen alles ohne Erfolg , was kann ich noch tun ?????

Hi,Hoping someone can answer my question below as currently frustrated with new device.New Meta Quest 3s is stuck on 'applying software update'. Have tried factory reset on the headset (the headset has not yet registered with the app on my phone so cannot factory reset from my phone).Following factory reset, the headset just goes back into the same applying software update loop but does not progress.Is there a solution to this or do I just return the new headset for a refund?

I have created an account for my 10 years old child to use Meta Quest 3, but I cannot get past the page that requests me to confirm the use of cookies after I sign in.I have tried logging in with the Meta Horizon app and Chrome browser in his tablet. I have tried with Firefox Mobile and Chrome in my phone. And have tried with Chrome in a laptop. The result is always the same: after signing in with email and password, i am taken to a page with title "Allow the use of cookies from Meta?". At the end of the page there is a button with label "Confirm". I press/click the button and nothing happens. I already tried pressing it many times, but nothing happens. Is this a system bug or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.//Notrev

I have had an oculus rift, the first generation I guess, it broke and now I have recently bought a meta quest 2 and I have had a lot of problems with logging into my meta-account, which I had to create due to Facebook/oculus log in doesn't work. After hours of doing research, restarting my computer, re-installing the oculus app and more, I managed to log in and now I can use my VR headset with the new account. The problem: While using my VR headset, with the meta account, I went into the store and found that I had to purchase a game, that I already had from my other oculus, to play it. I presume that I got to link my old oculus account with my meta to be able to play my game without paying for it again. I can't log into my old oculus account, when I try the "forgot password" link, it doesn't work, it asks me to go to the meta link for "forgot password", which only lets me fix the problem with meta-accounts and not with actual oculus account. On top of that, I am unable to log into ocul

When I open my Quest Store on my Quest 2, it says the message above. It started at 10:28 pm.

My Son got a headset for Christmas. He does not have a FB account so it is under my name. We would like to add an user account for him we generate the 6 digit code enter it in on the mobile device. Says connected. Then get the error message to try again. We have attempted this multiple times with the same result. 

Hello!Is there some way to hide the controllers or hands while watching videos with the oculus browser?If I turn on hand tracking I can hide the controllers but it still estimates my hands on the screen. If I try to hide the controllers it randomly pops them up in middle of my viewpoint.I would just like to view the video without anyhting else showing up.

While using oculus quest link my games were running very badly and I noticed quite quickly that anti-aliasing was most likely the problem. So I go to setting and try to turn it off but when I click it the toggle stays the same. I search for hours but still can’t find a fix.

I have a MSI 12th Gen Intel(R)Core(TM)i5-12450H gaming laptop, my quest works fine with link cable conected to the meta app but when I try to use my desktop on it, the screen is black & I can only see my mouse. I’ve tried the method where I put the oculus setup for power saving and restarting both devices but it’s doesn’t work.

I get this pop up every time I open Oculus app. I can't seem to get it to go away even after trying to click it to set it as default but nothing happens. I cant't seem to launch apps from unknown sources like Roblox and it won't get recognized either in the library, perhaps cause of the OpenXR isssue. Re-installing doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas?
