i am on my meta quest 2 as i write this, but i am having a hard time adding a new account bc everytime i try its an error.
I have just purchased a used Quest 2 that I want to use mainly with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12 but there might be other "games/simulators" I might try.I have tried the headset and all seems OK. I have a hardwire cable from the headset to a USB 3.0 port of my PC and this is detected correctly. I am using the correct Link cable.I have tried to follow the various tutorial videos on how to connect the headset for PCVR but when I try VR in MSFS2024 it says no headset connected (I am not going to be using my mobile just my desktop).I confess to finding the articles pointing to the correct software a bit confusing (some of the names appear to have changed). I have Virtual Desktop Streamer and Meta Horizon Link installed.I would be grateful if someone could guide me through the correct process and provide links to the necessary software, so I can ensure I have everything in order.Sorry to be a nuisance and thanks in advance for any help..
So I was playing as always, then my right controller died, I have these rechargeable batteries, so I grabbed a new one and put it in the right controller, then, all of a sudden my right controller started doing SOS in Morse code. So I am trying to figure out how to fix it, I factory reset, nothing. Hard reboot, nothing. I tried unpairing and paring again and again and nothing happeneds. So I am gonna ask u guys for a new controller. I got it for Christmas in 2023. And if I get a new one I will be really happy.
Hi,I recently bought Meta Quest 3 and trying to use it for the first time. Unfortunately after putting the wifi info into my Quest it is stuck on the screen that tells me to put the code into the app. I've downloaded the app (I've got Google Pixel so Android app) and tried to pair my device. I'm trying this for a few hours now and it still says that it can't find my device after putting in the code.I'm sure the wifi is exactly the same in Quest as in my phone. I'ce tried both types of wi-fi 2,4 and 5. Bluetooth in my phone is on and I've given all the permissions. The app still can't find my Quest 3. Can you help me?
i've been a vr user for 4 years now. i own 6 meta quest headsets all that work well with the exception of one unit. the unit will not allow me to add other accounts, will not allow the app sharing button to slide to the on position and strangely, it does not show-up on the meta.com/settings/my/device/ page. i've had problems with this thing not working properly since it was purchased. i have factory reset this headset 50 times or more since it was new and it has never worked properly. meta support is difficult to deal with as it is "staffed" with bots. i am certain this is a server side error and can't get any help from the meta people. anyone else have similiar issues, and how did you resolve them ? although i actually own 9 meta quest units, i'm seriously considering the steam platform going forward. meta support is something less that awful, as i've had other unresolved issues in the past. i really like the direction meta quest is going now but i don't think i can afford to co
No clue what to do it just keeps telling me to use the code but all my other emails don't connect and one says suspended so idk if that's the one I need and if so I can't use it anymore
New to using Meta Quest, but notice the UI appears Android-based. I'm trying to connect my Quest 3 device to my network using a static IP address however tcpdump shows no traffic coming from the device. When set to DHCP, I do see the BOOTP/DHCP frames sent. Other android-based devices do not have this problem and I can't find any references to similar issues in these forums.Other forums did have the suggestion of assigning the address before connecting to the network, but that showed the same behavior. Any recommendations?Revised: Asked an LLM about this and it reported this is a quirk in the TCP/IP stack for Quest. Has anyone fixed this??
My quest recently updated to v2.3.1027 which added the new Navigator UI.Before, I could just plug in a USB cable from my PC and the headset would ask me if I want to start Link. If I chose not to, I could go to the Link option in settings and it showed my PC as available. After updating, now when I connect the USB cable, it doesn't ask me to start Link. When I go to the Link settings, its showing that a USB cable isn't connected.I found that when I first plug in the USB cable, I need to have the headset on and click on the USB Detected notification that pops up. Just clicking on it allows Link to see my PC as available. This popup disappears after a few seconds and the only way I've found to get it back is to disconnect/reconnect the USB cable.Does anyone know of a way to restore the functionality so I don't have to click this notification every time? I do PCVR development and I prefer using USB connection.
The app keeps showing a black screen. My Quest 3 headset, which I just bought, stays on the screen asking me to enter the pairing code to link it to my account, but since the Meta Horizon app is stuck on a black screen, I'm unable to complete the pairing process. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I ordered my Oculus 3 from the Meta store, along with Supernatural Fitness and Beat Saber. I ordered this when I visited my son in Maryland because he has the Oculus 2 and I enjoyed playing it. Yesterday, the Oculus 3 shows up at my house in VA, and I begin setting it up. To my surprise, when I got it set up, I saw all my son's information and that I was logged into his account, somehow, someway. I did a hard reset after some research and did it again, this time I had "created a new account" with my email and password that I used when I bought the Oculus 3. It had me create a username, which I did. Then, when I get everything set up, I go to the library inside the Oculus itself and I do not see them but I do see where they can be purchased for the amounts that I paid, along with other games in the library, HOWEVER, when I log into Meta using Safari, I can see my name, my purchases, and it shows up no problem, BUT when I go to the app itself (Meta Horizon) I go to library and purchase h
I just bought an Oculus Quest 2 from a thrift store, but am now second guessing. The pairing app shows two quest options to pair that are always grayed out, and nothing happens after that. Does this piece of hardware have any usability at this point? or is it now just a really cool pair of shades?
i’ve been trying to reach out to these people email email to try and return my joysticks to get fixed. My warranty isn’t up in these people keep emailing me saying ticket clothes ticket clothes without solving the problem and it’s pissing me off.
Each time I try to connect to my wifi here at home my meta quest 2 says wifi saved/closed. If I connect it to my laptops hotspot it does connect. Anyway to fix it so it works on my wifi again? If you need more information please let me know.
I got my Oculus Quest beck from a friend and did a factory reset to conect it new with my acc but the app still sayes it cant finde my Quest
Ive checked my wifi router and it’s working fine, but any online games on meta won’t work even though my headset has a good internet connection, the problem started happening a month before but was gone and was only spearing every week, but know it’s really bad and doesn’t work at all since April 29th at around 7pm, I don’t know if something happened then and it hasn’t been resolved but the problem is not on my end, anyone know what’s going on? Could there also be a software update I need that I didn’t get yet? I’m on version 2.3 and it says I’m up to date.
I just recently bought a new pc that i am currently using to make this post and took this screenshot on. My meta quest link app says my display is working and says my headset is connected and active but my headset it showing the orange light and is black when I cover the sensor. Whenever i plug in my old pc and plug in all my stuff it works ive tried mutiple factory resets, wiping all oculus files from my computer and reinstalling oculus app and ive reinstalled the app multiple times. i used an hdmi to display adapter and tried the normal hdmi and still nothing. Ive also tried adding the ovrserver64x to my graphics settings and still nothing i really have no idea how to fix this. My new pc specs are:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPERAMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-core
Controller only blinks 3 times fast than another 3 times fast than 3 times slow, continuous. Iv rest, updated, paired unpaired. And still nothing??? Any ideas??
Dear Community, I have a problem running Meta Quest Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4037). Installation with Meta Quest Remote Desktop Setup.msi (Version from 13.8.24) works fine and shows no errors. However, when Opening the App Meta Quest Remote Desktop nothing happens and in the task manager MQRDCrashpadHandler is shown for 1-2 seconds. How can I install the Meta Quest Remote Desktop App on my machine. Happy to collect further data to solve the problem. Thanks in advance, Tobias
I have multiple quest headsets and multiple accounts. I can't log in to the account I previously registered with Facebook because the email address on my Facebook account has since changed to the one I used to register another headset with. I can't log in to my previous email address. Can you help me figure out what to do?
It's been a while since people have talked about this, but now windows 11 is currently the largest in market share value compared to other platforms. Windows 10 has the ability to use hand tracking while using the link cable but windows 11 just... doesn't? It doesn't seem to make sense. I also want to clarify that I have used hand tracking through third party apps (steam link specifically) but those kill my performance as my Wi-Fi can't keep up with the bandwidth needed. I would prefer to use my link cable but currently there's just no option unless I go back to windows 10... but that would require me to redownload EVERYTHING on my computer and possibly end up losing files. Yes I play games where hand tracking is supported (this often gets brought up in discussions about the topic, games that support it exist, that's not the issue. the link app doesn't support it, the games do. I play vrchat for example). I would just like to know if meta has any plans to actually update the functional
I've been tried variable ways and none of them work. Different intents I have tried either redirects me to horizon os app permission page or flat out does not work.I have only been able to open the 'Allow wireless debugging on this network' window. Issue with this it does not have fixed port for ADB. What I want is to open the 'Developer' Setting window and enter the 'Pair device with pairing code' window. I have tired the following without good results:Settings.ACTION_APPLICATION_DETAILS_SETTINGSIntent("android.settings.WIRELESS_DEBUGGING_SETTINGS")Intent().setClassName("com.android.settings", "com.android.settings.Settings$WirelessDebuggingActivity")Intent().setClassName("com.android.settings", "com.android.settings.SubSettings").putExtra(":settings:show_fragment", "com.android.settings.development.WirelessDebuggingFragment")`Intent().setClassName("com.android.settings", "com.android.settings.DevelopmentSettings")`Intent(Settings.ACTION_APPLICATION_DETAILS_SETTINGS)Any suggestio
Hello,For some apparent reason my right quest 3 controller will not power on no matter what, no lights or or any vibrations. This is a fairly new device that has not been used too much. Batteries have been replaced, have hard reset my quest 3 headset and tried re-pairing the controllers again, however, nothing happens. The left controller is perfectly fine
Hello Meta Quest Team,Before you close this, I want to clarify that I am aware other users have reported this issue and that there is an existing troubleshooting post.I recently purchased a new Quest 3 and a new Quest 3S. I use both custom cables and chargers, as well as the original Meta cable and charger. On both brand new headsets, I repeatedly receive the water and debris warning every 10 to 20 minutes, which makes normal use impossible. This happens with custom cables and chargers that provide a valid 30 to 40 watts, which matches the power specifications stated by Meta. The same issue also occurs when using the original Meta cable and charger. Given that this affects two separate new headsets under the same conditions, it is very unlikely that this is simply bad luck or defective hardware. This strongly points to a software related issue.I have seen many other users report the same problem, and some of these reports mention partial removals or moderation of posts, which makes it f
