Hi,Is there any way to stream the Quest 3 display to a PC wirelessly, without using an Internet connection and without a USB cable? Both the built-in Quest casting feature and Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH) appear to require an active Internet connection in order to start casting. The only solution I have found that works entirely over a local network is using scrcpy with wireless ADB. However, the captured image still contains the headset lens distortion, so I then have to capture the scrcpy window in OBS and apply additional correction to compensate for the distortion. Is there any other way to stream the Quest 3 display directly to a PC over a local Wi-Fi network, without requiring Internet access?I cannot rely on Internet connectivity because the application will be used at trade shows and industry exhibitions, where Internet access may be unavailable, unstable, or unpredictable. Using a cable is also not an option, so the solution has to be completely wireless.Ideally, I am looking
After not using my headset for ages, I recently got an email from meta saying that my Oculus account was going to be deleted. After verifying it was not a scam I tried to migrate it, I did create a new meta account and did everything right (I think). But none of my games are visible in the meta horizons app or on the website, I can't see any of my purchases on the website. When I try to contact support I just get redirected to the AI chatbot which can't help me, when I then try get past it to contact human support I need a serial number or an order number. I do not have a serial number for my account since I gave away the headset to my sister and don't currently have access to it, and when I enter the old order number i found from 2020 it just says invalid. I did not get a confirmation email from meta or Oculus or anything saying that my account was successfully migrated. How can I stop my data from being deleted? How can I check if it was migrated successfully? How can I contact real
My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link.I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly.I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'.There is no support article.I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work.Anyone else having or had similar issues recently? I put up a post on reddit about this too but sadly haven't found a solution yet.My friend recently gave me his old oculus rift s, he'd been meaning to sell it but just never got around to it. Itd been sitting in his car for a couple months but theres no visual damage. It also didn't come with any instructions and he doesnt remember how to set it up because he hadnt used it in ages.I updated all my drivers on my pc and graphics card (nvidia geforce 3060) and it keeps getting stuck on the Headset Sensor Check. This model didn't come with external sensors. My pc recognised the oculus as two separate audio outputs but no video outputs. Ive paired the controllers just fine but Ive tried EVERYTHING to get it through the sensor check.Tried all my usb ports (two 3.0 ports and even my 2.0 ports just out of desperation and to say I had tried)tried all display ports (including the one normally reserved for my monitor)Updated windowsupdated graphics card driversUSB port drivers are up to dateI have
I bought a used Quest 2 and I am completely unable to complete the initial setup/pairing. The automated support chat blocks my serial number because it is second-hand, so I cannot reach live chat either. Here are the exact technical details: Headset Serial: *** Previous owner app error: *** Server MID: *** Status: 3x factory reset done. Device missing from seller's account. Thank you!
Hi,I am experiencing an intermittent PC WebXR issue with a Quest 2 and Meta Horizon Link.SummaryWhen a WebXR page calls:navigator.xr.requestSession("immersive-vr")the Promise often remains pending indefinitely. The browser page stays on “Starting VR” or “Loading VR”.I added a 150-second diagnostic timeout to my application, so it eventually displays “VR timed out”. This timeout is only an application-side diagnostic: the native requestSession() Promise itself neither resolves nor rejects. The problem also occurs with official WebXR samples, so it does not appear to be specific to my application or its assets.Environment- Headset: Meta Quest 2- PC OS: Windows 11 64-bit- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU- NVIDIA driver reported by Meta logs: 32.0.15.6624 (status: OK)- Meta Horizon Link / Oculus Runtime: 1.206.0 / 206.0.0.109.432- Browser: Microsoft Edge (Chromium)- Connection methods tested: USB & Air LinkReproduction steps1. I was playing gorilla tag on my quest 3 and everything was working fine then I put the headset and controllers on the official quest 3 charging dock and a couple hours later when I was going to play vr again I noticed my right touch plus controller not waking up and the headset displayed a message saying “ right controller not connected press any button to wake it up” and I tried replacing the batteries but that didn’t help, then I tried rebooting the headset and it still didn’t work. but when I put the controller on the charging dock it lights up on the charging light on the dock so the controller is clearly being recognized the the dock and is receiving power. this is very weird. Is there anything I can try to get it to wake up and connect?
Quest 2 was unused for some time. On restarting today it suddenly asks for a headset passcode. The user has never set or used a passcode. The headset is no longer connected to the Meta Horizon app. We reset the Meta account PIN using “Forgot PIN?”, but the new PIN is rejected by the headset. The screen says “user must unlock headset after it restarts.”
Going completely insane with thisGot a Quest 3 for Christmas. Trying to login to my meta account (which I’m using fine on my Quest 2)it says it’s sent me a 2FA auth code via sms but I receive nothingTried all day yesterdayemailed meta support which was useless, I got an automatic reply saying to check sms is turned on, restart phone etc… which I’ve already done and then they closed the ticket without it being resolved and I can’t reply to the email I’ve phoned EE but they say there is no issues with my account and no blocked numbers seems impossible to get any actual account support from meta and I’m sat with a £400 brick
Hi, I made this account recently because I can't access mine anymore due to 2FA authenticator not working.I recently bought a Meta Quest 3 and was setting it up when it asked to install meta horizon on my phone, when done I logged into my meta account and it said it sent a code by SMS that I have to enter but I never got anything, I tried multiple times, nothing. Rebooted my phone, tried with a different phone, everything, nothing.I tried the Ai help support, nothing at all. Please help!!
Version number of software: I'm using the latest version of Meta Quest Link as of today (19th May 2025). I can't find the version number. Right-click on the "OculusClient.exe" file shows "0.1.0", which seems wrong. The product you’re using: Quest LinkIf this is related to standalone or Quest Link: LinkDescription of the issue: Attempting to load Quest Link, Steam VR in Quest Link or Elite Dangerous in Quest Link causes the display to freeze and glitch at the edges. The issue is sometimes delayed by a few minutes, but once it has occurred it does not seem to be recoverable without a reboot of the headset. This is a brand new device (arrived today) and I'm using the official £90 cable. Very disappointed.Screenshots that might applyThe following photo was taken through the right-hand lens after it started glitching within Quest Link itself (before loading another app). Any additional information: I haven't seen the headset glitch when using it as a standalone device, so I believe this is a
Hey there, I've started having this issue pretty randomly after moving my setup to a new place. I use the link cable to connect my Quest 2 to my computer to play PCVR. However, every 5-10 minutes, the game will freeze and lag out for a while. I have to either unplug and replug my headset or go into the quest 2 menu and restart link for it to get fixed. The view inside the headset will glitch out severely if I turn my head too far from the original position, which is shown in the picture.I'm on my latest drivers, latest meta quest link app, latest quest 2 update, everything, and this is the only issue I'm having with link or the quest 2 in general. It's pretty frustrating and makes most games kinda unplayable.Any help would be greatly appreciated!View if I look away from the frozen image of the game I was playing:
Hello, i've been using my Rift S really often year ago and issues like this were really rare to see.BUT! now when in trying to use my headset it runs fine for 20? 30 minutes? and then it does weird things like reseting himself and whole screen in gogles just flickers and those weird artifacts.I have no idea why, maybe its cause new USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps? or maybe its just his last breaths and cable just dies, no idea and i dont want to buy any external powered USBs to find out it doesnt work.Thats whats inside, just flickering and artifacts, sometimes its just flickers and there is "some" artifacts. No idea why, so im here to ask.
Hi, I’ve noticed only the primary accounts allow developer mode and any other accounts connected to the headset have it disabled as they aren’t allowed access to developer mode regardless of if the primary accounts has it enabled. So I would like to request the function of enabling developer mode for secondary accounts. Thanks
Title really says it all. My oculus is stuck on the paring your quest screen. My phone says it’s connected but the app is stuck. I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the app and turning on and off Bluetooth so I don’t know what to do.
My left Touch Pro controller disconnects/reconnects every ~10 seconds after updating to the latest OS, making it unusable — same as several other threads here (1369940, 1259627, 1337529, 1184642). I pulled adb logs from the headset and found the actual cause: - The controller's radio is fine — the Wi-Fi link connects cleanly every cycle (handshake + DHCP ACKed).- Version check passes (otaRequired=0, no update needed).- But GkSync — the headset pushing config to the controller — fails every single cycle. ~10s later a watchdog drops the controller (disconnected detached update-required), then it reconnects and loops forever.- Over 90s: my left controller = 8 GkSync failures / 7 disconnects; right controller, same headset = 0 and 0.- The only hardware difference: broken left is HW revision 0x30, working right is 0x31. Same firmware on both. It's not a dead radio and not reset-fixable — I tried controller factory reset (X+Menu), unpair/re-pair, Wi-Fi reset, and a full headse
I've recently bought a Quest 3 and it works fine in most games, however a couple of them seem to have a constant issue: After about 5-10 minutes of comfortable playing through Airlink the game would suddenly freeze and, upon waking up, the tracking becomes very shaky and extremely sensitive to the smallest of movements. Turning the headset off and on temporarily fixes the problem, but after a few seconds the image freezes again at which point the problem repeats up until the game is restarted. Turning off Asynchronous Spacewarp in the debug tool seemed to have fixed the issue completely in TWD Saints & Sinners, however it is still occuring in Into the Radius regardless if ASW is turned off or not
Hi everyone,My Quest 3 was stuck in a boot loop (Meta logo appearing then disappearing to a grey screen). Support had me use the software repair/update tool via PC, which fixed the boot issue — but now my controllers won't pair with the headset (first step). What I've tried:New batteries, LEDs light up and controllers vibrate normallyMeta + B (right) / Meta + Y (left) held for several seconds — no reaction on the headsetWaited 5+ min on the pairing screen — no items ever appear to selectControllers show as "connected" in the Meta Horizon phone app,I'm currently going back and forth with email support (case #09407530) and it's been slow going. Has anyone seen this exact combo (repair tool fixes boot, then pairing breaks) or knows a fix I haven't tried? Thanks in advance!
So Ive had an old quest 2 for quite awhile now and I wanted to use it again so I factory reseted it so I could start fresh but since I was on what I think was a bugged V81 update, the setup/tutorial completely skips the Wi-Fi part making it impossible to pair with the mobile app. I do not have a PC btw
Hi, I need help with a device state issue on my Meta Quest 3 (serial: **********). The headset shows my Meta account as logged in under Settings > Accounts in VR, but the Meta Horizon mobile app cannot pair with it — it always fails with 'Unable to pair headset'. I have already tried: multiple factory resets (both from the boot menu and from my account dashboard online), reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, different phones, different Wi-Fi networks and a mobile hotspot. The device no longer appears in my account's device list on the website, yet the headset itself still shows my account signed in. It seems the device state is out of sync between the headset, the server and the app. Could you please force-clear this device's state from the backend so it can be set up as new? Thank you. I have an issue with the 2 controllers no led no vibration no response fresh batteries
I am writing to follow up on my case #** regarding my bricked Quest 3. To date, I have not received a viable solution. The repeated offer to replace the unit is not a workable option for me, as I am unable to return the device to an official service center due to my location. Therefore, I am reiterating my request: please provide me with a recovery image (ROM) for my Meta Quest 3. My question is simple: what is the difficulty in providing this file? I am technically capable and willing to attempt the recovery process myself. This is the only feasible solution for my situation, as a physical replacement is impossible. The serial number of the device is 2**. I look forward to your prompt and specific response regarding the availability of a recovery image.[edited for privacy - this is a public forum]
Since updating my Quest 3 to v2.7, I’ve been having issues with the controllers while using Virtual Desktop for game streaming. If I leave the controllers idle for a while without touching them, they get marked as lost. Once this happens, I cannot wake them up again. The only fix is re-pairing them manually, and I have to pair one controller at a time. This is a really poor experience. Many users have reported this bug. When will this be fixed?
