I just bought a quest 2 and want to connect to my pc using airlink but whenever I got to use air link on my headset my pc wont show up for me to pair it. Any help is appreciated.
Hi! Just wanted to post here to get a seperate thread going. As of today there is a major bug in communication between Quest 3 and certain types of Router models. So let's get a list started on Wifi 6e routers that actually work. What Router do you have experience with being stable at 2400 Mbps in dedicated 6e mode?Remember to post Router name and model and screen grabs/video from the Quest 3 showing the speed. (Turn on experimental wifi settings to do so.)This is by no account a list that is for everyone. So far I found that some of the more expensive models between 350-700$/€ have been reported to work. So meta still has a major bug to fix. But if you can afford it, this might be is a way around the problem… ___________________________________________________________________________________________________The bug explained:There is a bug with negotiation rates with certain router models. Essentially AX and AXE models but more might also be affected. I have been investigatin
I have read some posts here and there and found out, that Quest3 supports USB-Ethernet Adapter. After some tests, the best adapter ist this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0C3GHBLB6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It works great, i can charge my quest at gaming and if i start at 95%...play a hour....i end at 95%. It´s a absolut stable connection without interferences and i can use godlike with 500mbps! (measured is ~480mbps, but 500mbps works without any problem) For me the best PCVR link/experience i can get! For use you need: -developer account -activated USB debugging -DHCP in Router Short summary: -turn off WLAN in Quest 3 -LAN cable to router <> adapter -PD to adapter -Adapter to Quest 3 -Turn on and check if the store is loading without WLAN, then you know, it´s working Greetings....ah, and if a meta developer read this: PLEASE DON`T TURN OFF THIS FEATURE!
I have put in the code that my occulus has given me, but it always says it could not be found. I have tried every possible solution that has been given to me by the app.
So...I want to use VD for wirelessly streaming, but I'm suffering from an issue:My PC connects to wired router(which connects to wired work LAN).I also need to run an APP to log in with my work account so I can access the Internet. And my Quest connects to router's wifi but couldn't log in(Quest doesn't support running the APP). Most of the time, VD says "not on same network".But sometimes, it can connect to my PC.(Usually at 1st hour after multiple trials of connecting and restarting) Is there anyone knowing how to solve this problem?Appreciate.
My quest 2 just auto-updated to the latest Meta Horizon OS level. When started my quest 2, everyhting works fine in the OS interface. After I launch an app, the controller just disappeared. the only button that still working is the button that let me quit the app. So far I have tried Skybox VR and DEO VR, both are the same. Anyone got the same issue? Thanks
It is so blurry that I can barely see nothing not to mention reading the text.
I own a Quest 2. I made an account, paired my phone with the code, and it was set. I made another account for a family member, but when they download the app and try to pair their phone on their account, the code does not show up. Any ideas?
Received a refurb Quest 2 today. Controllers apparently came unpaired. Pulled plastic tabs, get 3 white light flashes and then they turn off. In setup, I'm able to use the volume buttons to advance to the wifi setup screen, but on this screen, the volume buttons now act as proper volume control, and not a "select" button. Therefore, I'm unable to select a wifi network and connect. From everything I'm reading, it sounds like you NEED to use the phone companion app to pair the controllers. However, my phones and ipad have been unsuccessful in pairing to the headset. I assume this is because the headset is not on a wireless network. Need headset on wireless network to use phone app... need phone app to pair controllers... unable to pair controllers because no phone app. It's a catch-22. Is there really no way to pair the controllers in the setup phase without the companion app? Does the headset really need to be on the wireless network? Doesn't the phone us
Hello, i recently got my quest 3, i love it and am happy i decided to purchase it, however to date my only issue is that my computer or my quest will not recognize each other when connected with a USB C to USB C.i have had success with the same Cable using a USB A adapter on one end and tried to use the cable that came with the quest aswell. The quest will charge off of both ports but will only connect to quest link off of the USB C to USB A. Both ports are running usb 3.0.My computer is a Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 8 (Intel) Gaming Desktop, i have a 4080 with a I7-13700KF, the usb ports i’m using are numbered 8&12 on the tech specs that i am sending a link to. It will only connect to quest link off of port 12 but still draws power (i think more) off port 8. I have tried to flip the cable as stated in the original post but no luck, please do inform me of any potential solutions
6/11/2024, allowed Meta Link to update on my PC for my Rift CV1. Everything still works until I get into a game. Once I enter the game, the Touch controllers are not detected when moving, and in the game they are at ground level and will not move. The Oculus button still worked, and I could use the controllers to select quit app, but they will not move while in a game. So far I re-installed Oculus, but did not delete all the hidden files. I updated my Nvidea drivers to the latest 555.xx version.
I would like to preface this post by saying that I've tried practically everything you can dig up online. Through hours of research, multiple factory resets of my headset and PC both... I could not get Quest Link to work regardless of my efforts. This has driven me to borderline insanity.I bought my Quest 3S (128gb) headset on Black Friday of 2024, about a week and a half ago from the time of posting this. Since I got the headset, I've been trying to set up PCVR but for whatever reason, I am not able to connect my headset, but for my life I am unable to get connected both through the Link cable and Air Link, and I've been stuck on the screens pictured below. The problem is, when I get into VR to sync it with my PC, my PC does not show up on the list, and I'm stuck on "Searching for PCs..." in the VR interface, forever. I followed the steps on the page properly. I navigated to enable Link, tried with the Link cable, no dice. Tried the same with Air Link, changing the settings appropriate
So I pulled out my meta quest 2 headset today and tried playing a game. When I loaded in it was not tracking my controllers. But my controllers were working in the home-screen.I tried restarting my game and everything but it did not work. This is happen with every game and I don’t know what to do. It’s also doing it with hand tracking. It works in the home-screen but not the game. If anyone can help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it.
Black Screen/3 dots issue. (Hardware Notification) Oculus Problem For Oculus Link/Air Link ~First Troubleshooting tip: -Open Device Manager > Device Adapters (Mind you this only applies if you have Integrated Graphics) > RIght Click on the Integrated Graphic Unit > Disable Unit (This will refresh your computer, Display Wise) Restart Both your Comptuer And Quest/(Or whatever headset you're using) And try Link again. If It doesn't work then Second TroubleShooting Tip -Go to your PC Oculus App > Go to Settings > General > Make Sure Unknown Sources are Turned ON Third TroubleShooting Tip -Go Into your PC settings > Graphic Settings > Browse > C:\Program Files\Support\oculus-runtime > Add all three OVR Services > Click on them After > Options > Set to High Performance Fourth TroubleShooting Tip -Make sure your Graphic Drivers ARE UP TO DATE! This has gotten me to have my Air Link work, But This also works for Oculus Link as we
As the 3s does not have an Aux port. What are the options for headphones? Can the 3s connect to Bluetooth Headphones or can I use USC-C Headphones plugged directly in? Thank you 🙌
Imma keep this as short as possible.I got a new 5GHz / 2.4GHz router so I could use Oculus Air Link without it stuttering every five seconds (my previous router only had 2.4GHz). When I try connect to my PC it just says "searching for device" but cannot find the PC. I have been troubleshooting and looking at forums and reddit posts for the past few days but none of the advices I have found so far have helped me. I found out that if both devices [the PC(in this case an old laptop I found) and the Quest 2] are connected to Wi-Fi, instead of the PC being connected to Ethernet, Air Link can find the Device and it works without problem. But my PC doesn't have a Wi-Fi adapter, and even if it did I do not want to use Wi-Fi on my PC for Air Link. Here's a list of everything I have done to try and fix this issue: Turn both devices off and on again Turn Air Link on both devices off and on again Uninstall the Quest app and install it again Turn off my Firewall Port forward the port 5669 Change so
Update January 2024 - full post history below Hi. Let me try to give a quick TLDR summery. Since the launch of the Quest 3, numerous users have encountered difficulties with their Wi-Fi connections related to wireless PCVR. A notable bug affects certain mid-range AX and AXE routers, such as TP-Link's AXE75, leading to significant packet losses and varying negotiation rates. Consequently, connection speeds fluctuate between 480 and 1921 Mbps, occasionally reaching 2161 Mbps but rarely achieving the full 2401 Mbps speed. In contrast, the Quest 2 maintains a stable 1200 Mbps on 5GHz dedicated networks. However, on release, the Quest 3 struggled to reach 720 Mbps, with speed fluctuations occurring every other second. Meta was promptly notified of this issue on launch day and has been working on resolving it through build updates. Versions v.57 to v.60 have seen a dramatic reduction in negotiation rates, making wireless VR "usable" under certain conditions, particular
Hi, I was doing stuff with the oculus link and when I stopped playing with the helmet and when I unplugged it, I had no sound on my computer. I tried a lot of things but it didn’t work. please help me
So I used oculus link with the cable and had perfectly fine audio 1 week ish ago. Well today there is no audio coming from the headset. My PC had no clue there is audio capability in the device. I do not mean the audio is disabled. I checked the disabled devices and it is not there. I re-installed everything. Forgot the quest 2 and found it again. And there is still no "oculus virtual audio device" When there was a week earlier. All I want is for my PC to find it again. The "Learn more" Button brought me here and I do not see others with this issue. So Oculus software knows there is an issue, it just isn't helping me fix it.
Just as the title says, I'm not getting any audio through my headset while using a link cable for the oculus home-- no desktop audio in oculus home, no game audio when in a game, despite video working flawlessly. Issue persists with games both from oculus library and steamvr library. Audio works perfectly with steam link. Here is everything I've tried so far to fix it: enabled Oculus Virtual Audio Device in device manager and audio settings, tried every audio device in windows settings, tried every combo of audio settings on the oculus pc app,reinstalled/repaired oculus pc app, enabled beta testing and turned it back off, plugged headphones into the headset, tried every audio device in in-game menus, disabled and re-enabled every audio device in device manager, and restarted both my PC and quest 2 multiple times between attempts. so far nothing has affected any change at all. When I have music playing on my desktop while establishing the link, there will be a brief blip of desk
v62 has a big problem with USB port sensor (found the very same issue on my Q3 and the one of my wife)... when used with an extension cable (even if it is a quality cable) from time to time star showing the debris-water warning message. Of course there is no debris or water, just a nasty software false alarm.
Started some time today. I'm unable to interact with either of the monitors that i pull up inside the headset while airlinked with my PC. But anytime i play a game, i have no issues interacting with the menus. The only thing ive noticed off with a game is Pavlov and thats not letting me quick drop my mags on some weapons.
Not a solution - Marking for visibility Known Issue Hello everyone! I have observed that a significant number of users are still encountering the USB-Debris error even after the V64 fix was distributed to everyone. Consequently, I have taken the initiative to inform the team and create this fresh post in order to distinguish between those who faced the issue in the previous post and those who are currently experiencing it on V65-V67. We would greatly appreciate if everyone could please provide the following information: What's the full version number of your headset? (62.0.0.####### or likewise) Quick Settings > System > Software Update What's the full version number of your PC app? (62.0.0.####### or likewise) General > Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Is your PC app on PTC? Are you enrolled in Quest PTC? Any potential workarounds? Which headset is everyone using? Is this only happening with the Quest 3 currently, or is anyone experiencing the same thi
Can anyone provide this information? The only interest I have in the Quest 3, is if it can provide a better experience than the Quest 2 for PCVR. The Quest 3 has Wi-Fi 6e capability, but will it improve latency and video compression of the Quest 2?Right now the Quest 2 averages 47 to 57ms of latency, that and the video compression is unacceptable for people who use PCVR headsets with zero compression and 11ms of latency.I'm going to order one from Amazon, so I can return it if it can't improve on the Quest 2, but any help before hand would be appreciated 🙂
