Hi!I bought my Meta Raybans from Meta Store and have use them for about a month and they've been working fine until a few days ago. They stopped taking pictures and stopped responding to "hey meta". When I turn them on, they slowly flash white but are otherwise dead. I've tried following the instructions to restart them, but when I turn them off with the on-off button and then hold down the photo button while turning them on and continuing to hold it down, they just light up red for a while. Then the red goes off, and they go back to flashing white, slowly.I then tried following the instructions to factory reset them, but nothing happens. They just flash white.I then tried to contact support and entered the serial number (which I could see on the Meta app page for the glasses, so it was just a cut and paste), but they say that "Support is not available for this device" and I'm therefore not getting any help.Suggestions?
Hello everyone.I am having a strange issue with my Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses. The glasses worked perfectly at first. Now the speakers produce no sound at all. Music, phone calls and voice prompts are completely silent. The camera works correctly. The microphone also works correctly because videos are recorded with audio. Photos and videos sync normally with the Meta AI app.The glasses connect to my iPhone without any problems and appear as an audio output device. When I select them as the audio output, the music continues playing but no sound comes from the glasses. The Meta AI app also says that a firmware update is available. However, it will not install the update because it reports that the battery is too low. The app does not display the battery percentage.I have already performed a factory reset, paired the glasses again, restarted my iPhone, charged the glasses and the charging case for several hours, cleaned the charging contacts and tried different chargers and cables.Has anyo
Should I return my glasses? What do users with site loss really like how do they use them other than reading audible books would love your help
I just updated to v21 two days ago, and noticed they added the ability to control different music streaming apps like Apple Music with more languages including Spanish, but I’ve been asking Meta AI to play literally anything on apple music (any song, any artist, any playlist) and I keep getting “I can’t do that on the glasses”, I’ve tried this in English and it works perfectly, but when I switch to Spanish, I can’t get it to work (I’m using Ray-Ban Wayfarer Gen 2)
So I have my rey ban meta for about two years now...when is going to be available? any estimated date?
I purchased Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses largely because of the advertised Garmin and Strava integrations. After extensive troubleshooting, I have confirmed that the functionality exists and can work but appears to be restricted based on region. As a customer in Costa Rica, I believe it is reasonable to ask for transparency. Garmin and Strava are both fully available and widely used across Costa Rica and Latin America, yet Meta continues to provide no roadmap, timeline, or commitment regarding support for these regions. If Garmin and Strava integrations are not yet officially supported in Costa Rica, please provide an estimated release date or planned rollout schedule. Customers should not be expected to purchase a premium product without knowing when advertised features will become available in their country. The community is not asking for workarounds. We are asking for clarity, transparency, and an official timeline.
I bought my Meta Ray-Ban glasses in Florida, and everything was working fine, even after I arrived in the Philippines. However, I needed to download an app that's only available in the Philippine App Store, so I temporarily changed my Apple App Store country to the Philippines. After that, my Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses stopped working. I tried switching my App Store country back to the US using VPN, but I keep getting the same error. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?
RayBan Meta Wayfarer Gen 2 Problems with battery charging and connection to the Meta appThe problem started yesterday when I was using them. The recording kept cutting out due to low battery, but when I plugged them in to charge, the app said the glasses were at 100%. When this problem persisted, I decided to reset the lenses. I did so, and the white light flashed for a long time, but they didn't reconnect to the app. From there, I tried the app's recommendations: I put them in their case and pressed the button to make the case flash blue, but it didn't work; it only showed a white light after several seconds of holding the button down. Then I tried the trick of hiding the temples of the glasses and pressing the capture button, but that didn't work either. Next, it suggested disconnecting my phone from Bluetooth, but none of this solved the problem. Now, when I put the glasses in the case, the LED on the case is orange, but no matter how long I leave them there, the light doesn't
I have the AI glasses and when in the case they turn green like fully charged, but when I pull them out, they won't turn on or anything, it's like they are dead as soon as I pull them from the charging case. I have no idea why they are doing this all of a sudden
I recently purchased the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses and have been testing them during cycling and running workouts. I am currently experiencing a serious audio issue related to Meta AI voice responses and Garmin integration. My setup is: -Oakley Meta Vanguard -Garmin Fenix 8 -iPhone 15 Pro -iOS latest version -Cellular only (Wi-Fi disabled during testing) I am a user based in South Korea, and the Meta AI language is currently set to Korean. All devices are successfully paired and connected. The issue is the following: Apple Music playback works perfectly without any interruption. However, whenever Meta AI responds with voice output (for example, when asking for the current time, weather, heart rate, etc.), the audio becomes severely choppy and distorted. Garmin voice notifications such as lap alerts and workout prompts are also heavily stuttering and almost impossible to understand. This issue occurs not only with Garmin-related data, but also with general Meta AI voice responses in
I have a pair of Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer purchased about 1.5 months ago, used with an iPhone (Meta AI app up to date) in Spain. For the past 2 days, they have developed a recurring fault:When I tap the touch area to activate Meta AI, the white LED turns on, there is no sound, then it turns off and the glasses disconnect momentarily.A few seconds later the green LED appears and they reconnect automatically. In the Meta AI app they still show as connected.Troubleshooting already performed (multiple times):Force restart (arms closed, power switch + capture button until red LED, wait 17s).Unpair and re-pair from the app (Settings > General > Unpair).Full factory reset (hold power switch fully right + capture button until solid orange LED) – I have had to do this twice in two days, erasing all captures. After each reset they work briefly, but the issue returns the next day.No issues during the first 1.5 months. No drops, water damage, or phone changes.
So i have tried evrything reboot factory reset, deleting app restarting the phone, i just cannot connect the glasses to the app anymore since yesterday after the update when the glasses have been working well for the past two months, i know for a fact many userd are having the same problem cause of the update, meta fix your mess.
I have brand new HSTN's... out of the box they will not function unless I have my finger over the proximity sensor on the left arm. I've tried all the restarts and hard reset options available. My temporary solution is using a piece of dental floss to tie around the left arm over the power button. It works fine as long as the floss is applying slight pressure on the sensor.Anyone have a fixes for this or do I need to send them back?
Hi everyone,I'm hoping someone from Meta or the community can help.I have a brand new pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, the latest Meta AI app, and the latest firmware installed. My phone is a Xiaomi 17 Ultra running HyperOS, and I'm located in Australia. The problem is that Chinese does not appear as an available language in the Live Translation settings. I only see the standard six languages (French, Italian, Spanish, etc.).What's confusing is:- The latest Meta update notes mention Chinese translation support.- I've seen an in-store demo in Australia (at Sunglass Hut) where Chinese translation was available and working completely.- My glasses and app are fully up to date.So far I've tried:- Updating the Meta AI app to the latest version.- Updating the glasses firmware.- Rebooting both the phone and glasses.- Re-pairing the glasses.- Enabling Developer Mode.- Confirming Meta AI is enabled. My questions are:Is Chinese Live Translation being rolled out gradually in Australia?2. Is this featur
Im sorry for not posting in the right location, but I was wondering if you could add the feature to select text via rotating your wrist while in a text box. Think it would be cool. Thank you!
I accidently paired my wife's new Meta glasses to my iOS Meta AI app. After removing the device, she can't register/pair with her iOS Meta AI app. I understand the problem is that her device is permanently registered in my iOS Meta AI app/account which must be removed in the back end, but I can't seem to find any help on this platform except for the standard cookie cutter responses from the AI platform. How do I even get help with this as it seems to require manual intervention to delete my wife's device from my iOS Meta AI app. Has anyone else faced this issue? I also send a note to Ray Ban support as I bought from a 3rd party reseller, but doubt I'll get a response....
Good evening Why can't I go live on Instagram or Facebook with my Oakley HSTN meta ia ? I read that feature is avaliable.
Hi Meta Wearables team,We are using the Meta Wearables Device Access Toolkit for iOS to integrate with Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.During Apple App Review, Apple requested confirmation that our app is authorized by the accessory manufacturer to work with the MFi accessory. They specifically mentioned the MFi Product Plan form and PPID.What is the correct private support channel or process to request MFi Product Plan authorization / PPID confirmation from Meta for Apple App Review? We can provide app-specific details privately if needed.Thank you.
HelloMy Meta glasses notify me that "charge device for full functionality", which is fine and helpful ONCE. However, once it tells me this, it continuously repeats this over and over. I even tried turning my glasses off with the power switch with no impact. Is there a way to turn this off and only have it notify me once? It is very disruptive, as my glasses are prescription and if I am out walking I have to take them off to not hear this repetitive statement (which makes me feel insane), and then I can't see as well.Anyway this is a terrible feature and am hoping for suggestions.
Hace una semana que las compré y no me funcionan los altavoces alguien puede ayudarme cómo puedo arreglarla a dónde las hay que enviar
This is more of a complaint than a question. This is my second pair of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses. My first pair was purchased during a trip to Mexico and had all advanced AI features enabled, including the ability to ask, "What am I looking at?" and receive visual descriptions. After I accidentally broke that pair, I bought a second pair here in Argentina. To my surprise, those same AI features are disabled and I get a "Not available in your region" message. The frustrating part is that these AI capabilities were a major factor in my decision to buy a second pair after the first one broke. I already knew how useful they were because I had been using them for months.I've tried everything I could think of, and it's practically impossible to get in touch with Meta to obtain a clear explanation or solution.I love the glasses themselves, but decisions like this are exactly why customers will eventually move to competing products as soon as viable alternatives become available. I know I
Los altavoces de mis meta okley meta ia ya no funcionan
When you start a native video recording on the glasses, the firmware takes exclusive control of the audio pipeline and drops the Bluetooth A2DP connection. Music stops. The recording ends, music resumes. This isn't a bandwidth issue — camera writes to onboard storage, speakers run over a separate Bluetooth profile. These are independent subsystems. The firmware is just not designed to keep them alive simultaneously. The SDK workaround (stream video to phone, record locally there) preserves music but caps you at 720p over Bluetooth and requires the phone to stay active. That's a real tradeoff. The underlying ask is simple: **don't reset the A2DP session when onboard recording starts.** Or expose enough audio session control in the SDK that developers can manage this themselves. Use cases this unlocks immediately:- Hands-free lab work / protocol recording with background audio cues- Fitness and sports recording where music is part of the activity- Content creators who want
I've got a pair of the Oakley HSTNs - love the glasses but can't understand why my music stops playing when I start recording video. To be clear - I know this is intentional but it is a severely limiting factor as I want to record while I'm in the zone doing something, and the sudden silence absolutely kills the vibe every time. Are there any workarounds to this/would really like this changed. Also if anyone knows why this happens I'd appreciate it
Tengo un tema con mis lentes , me gustaria ayuda para saber proceso para mandar a reparar mis lentes ray band meta
