Hey,for faster compilation time and for console output i would really like to use my Oculus Quest as Oculus Rift over the USB 3.0 Cable connected to my computer in unity. I know that I can run virtual reality games on my computer and stream them to my Oculus Quest via Oculus Link.How can I enable the feature to stream to my Quest in the Unity Editor when I hit the play button.I found a discussion from 2019 that is maybee outdated: The official Site does not mention a possibility to use the quest inside unitys editor:I currently can not paste the links because this is my first post here.

Hey All, I've been playing around with hand tracking, along with arm and body presence using IK.  I'm hoping there's someone out there who has some seen some information or documentation on how to go about swapping out the Oculus provided Hands used in hand tracking with your own model.So far I've got the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__bBJpAmNfY ;which, in terms of the arms and body are "OK" but the next step there is to get each of the underlying model's fingers to move and animate with the OVRHandPrefab Anyone have some idea on where to start there?

I'm working on a potential Quest title but I don't have a Quest developer kit. I was wondering if anyone knows which Unity post processing effects are supported on Quest?

How do I sign an Oculus Go APK with Signature Schema v1 In Unity 2019.3?My build setup was previously signing v1 successfully in Unity 2019.2.Unity 2019.3 is always signing the build APK with Signature Schema v2.Jarsigner is not an option with builds that have already been signed.mainTemplate.gradle file does have v2SigningEnabled false and v1SigningEnabled true, this was working in Unity 2019.2.Project Settings - XR Plugin Management - Oculus - V2 Signing (Quest) is unchecked.  Is this happening to others besides me?Thanks!Steve Hinan - METAL MULTIBALL

Good morning guys,Right now, we're developing games in Oculus Quest and we would like to output position, velocity, acceleration data for data analysis. However, it appears that the data output from Oculus Quest is only in one decimal numbers (e.g. 0.1, 5.8). Below is the code I'm using, does anyone have the same problem or know how to solve this problem?lp = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerPosition(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); lv = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerVelocity(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); la = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerAcceleration(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); lav = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerAngularVelocity(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); laa = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerAngularAcceleration(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); lr = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerRotation(OVRInput.Controller.LTouch); rp = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerPosition(OVRInput.Controller.RTouch); rv = OVRInput.GetLocalControllerVelocity(OVRInput.Controller.RTouch);

Hi, I'm trying to create a short intense vibration of the Touch Controller when the player's hands collide with a game object. I'm using this code but changing the freqency value doesn't seem to affect the duration. Anyone have any ideas?OVRInput.SetControllerVibration(1f, 1f, OVRInput.Controller.RTouch);

First off, we are using UE 4.23 and we did bang our heads trying to set it up to at least work on the quest. Now a few questions and problems here : 1. Why we can't have dynamic low res CSM shadows? - Turning mobile HDR on was tried and it looked horrible, frame rate dropped to 40fps on a simple basic scene. Glitches and artifacts appeared.  What are we doing wrong? 2. Using Vulkan for the performance boost. - The game packages normally, but will not start on the Quest, just goes to black and ejects from the game. Found out by looking at the crash log that it was Vulkan splash texture. cpp - or something to do with Vulkan, disabled it and the game runs. Vulkan SDK installed as well - not sure if this has anything to do with it but hey, we tried that too...3. Auto instancing works amazing if you know what console command to call upon. - We managed to have it working with  r.MeshDrawCommands.DynamicInstancing 1 4. The slow process of packaging and testing an

After moving from WebVR to WebXR on several pages, the event vrdisplaypresentchange is not firing when entering VR using Three.js r113. It did fire in previous versions of the library when entering VR. This problem occurs on both Oculus Go and Quest. Is this a known bug with Oculus Browser 7.1?

Using Unity 2019.1.2F1, using Oculus Integrations 1.41.I'm having this weird issue that's hard to debug.My app consists of multiple scenes that I load in consecutive order. Everything loads correctly except for when I'm loading from scene 1 to 2. At the start of scene 2, the right eye is black, while the left eye renders the scene for half a second (the skybox is black), then both eyes render black. This happens about 50% of the time when loading from scene 1 to 2. If I build scene 2 by itself, or load from scene 0 to 2, it doesn't ever happen. So the problem doesn't seem to be with the scene.I'm not getting any information from the debug, except that a bunch of Oculus processes die:ActivityManager: Process com.oculus.alpenglow (pid 5973) has diedActivityManager: cleanUpApplicationRecord -- 5973ActivityManager: Process com.android.deskclock (pid 1848) has diedActivityManager: cleanUpApplicationRecord -- 1848ActivityManager: Process com.android.packageinstaller (pid 2960) has diedActivi

Hello everyone,I would like if it possible. If I start my Oculus Go, it would instantly play a video without opening anything other, and when the video is finished the Oculus Go would turn off.I'm asking this question here beacuse I don't have any idea how I could face this "project".Kind Regards,JustBetter

I'm trying to make a VR climbing game where you can climb if an object is climable. I'm going for gameplay like the climbing in vade imortal or the climb. But haven't been able to find any good climbing scripts. I tried using VRTK but it messes up the oculus quest. So I want to code my own script that only uses oculus utilities. Any suggestions or pointers would be helpful.

The problem is that the hands are offset way ahead of the player and tracking is with opposite hands I am using customhand left and right.both parent transform and player are set to OVRCameraRig and OVRPlayerController respectively.

I am trying to figure out how to get the information from the analogue so I can register footstep sounds by the amount of which the player is moving. I don't want the steps to be inconsistent so I want the sounds to slow down or speed up depending how much the player is moving the analogue. I have no idea on how to write the code for this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm working on a touch interface in VR. To get better graphics of the "screen" in world-space (which are basically printscreens) I use OVROverlay and LocalAvatarWithGrab to interact with the touchscreen. Problem is that screens with Overlay render through the hands despite being in front of the screen. Why turning off OVROverlay script does not work?

Hi all,Sorry for the noob question. What is the overlay in the picture below called and how can I turn it off in Unity?I turned this on a month ago and I can't remember how to turn it back off.

Hello!I'm having trouble pausing the game using either 'Has Input Focus' or 'Get VR Focus State' blueprint node (and passing certification).I'm also using 'Has System Overlay Present' to check and pause the game if the Oculus overlay is displayed (which works fine). I've checked this on Unreal binary distribution 4.18 and 4.19.Current behaviour is that after about 10 seconds from removing the headset the game pauses but it does not pass certification so I assume there has to be abetter way or something is wrong?I was also looking at 'UnrealSample' from Oculus SDK but couldn't find anything related to pausing the game in that situation.Behaviour is implemented inside Game Mode blueprint, the actors that supposed to pause have the 'Tick Even if Paused' disabled.If anyone has some ideas or samples (blueprint or c++) that could show the working way to do this I will be very thankful.My implementation (also tried 'Get VR Focus State' in place of 'Has Input Focus'):

This is a question that probably only somebody working at Oculus can answer, but I was wondering whether we will be able to mix controller and the newly announced hand tracking at the same time. What I mean specifically is a situation where the player is holding a controller in only one hand while the other one is tracked using the cameras. Apart from being able to do this, would a game that uses this kind of solution be allowed on the store, or is it something that is not encouraged?

I have an object as child of RightHandAnchor. As I move arround the playercontroller the object changes it´s relative position.WHY?

Is It possible for example to make Project Car 2 for the Oculus Quest? I don't mind If the they downgrade the graphics. As long as the gameplay is intact, I would buy It.For this generation of games, the experience is more important in VR than the graphic quality.The best seller games are Beat Saber and SuperHot even though they are not the most impressive graphically games.I wouldn't mind If Project Car 2's textures and polygons look like SuperHot as long as it plays exactly the same as the PC version and It's cross platform.

Hi Guys, I'm looking to integrate Oculus tracking into our controller - etee.tg0.co.ukAny suggestions? I've been struggling with getting connected to someone on the Oculus team.https://vimeo.com/323437440

I'm trying to change the render resolution on my Quest app to test the impact on performance, but it doesn't seem to work.  The screen turns black and I get a dim red noise pattern flashing rapidly across the whole screen.I'm using the exact code shown here or in other words just the single line: UnityEngine.XR.XRSettings.eyeTextureResolutionScale = 1.01f;The visual glitch happens when setting eyeTextureResolutionScale to anything but 1, even if it's only 1.01, or 0.99.  If I set it low enough, like 0.1, I also get a full frame of video about once per second before it goes back to mostly black.This code is supposed to be usable on the Quest, right?  Because it works fine on the Go and the Oculus site doesn't say anything about it being incompatible with the Quest.  I'm using the Lightweight Render Pipeline in this app, could that be the problem?Also, is there any other way to change the render resolution?

Hello I am new one in this forum and wants to know how to become Unity 3D developer? Can anyone give me some references or suggestions?

I have a 4 checkbox toggle group that I move the selection with the right thumbstick on a Quest.This works and I have some counters to fix. I deselect all four then I select the particular one by indexing. The problem I have with doing toggle1.isOn is the checkmark is dimmed. I did not change the colors or anything like that. I simply used was Unity supplies out of th ebox and select y rotating index. The dimmed check box is the concern.I have another menu of a separate toggles and the first one is selected by default is a black checkmark.Any help would be appreciated.

Rendering empty scene (solid color) in Unity 2019.1.10f takes Quest's GPU around 10ms.After further profiling I discovered that there are 4 render textures (I'm guessing color and depth for each eye) and that they take almost 300MB of space.Snapdragon Profiler showed that texture memory read is often up to 6.25 MB/s.Profiling the game with Renderdoc didn't show any huge textures, eye textures were taking around 13.07MB (1216x1344)What could be the cause of this?

I have a weird bug when trying SampleFramework examples in Unity with Oculus Quest. In the DistantGrab scene when I distantly grab an object it pushes me out of the scene once it hits my virtual hand.Also, I have a similar bug with VRTK v.4 - when I hit into an object in the sample scene it bounces me away or sends into sky. I suspect the cause might be the same.My environment:Unity 2019.1.4f1Oculus Utilities 1.37.0Mac OS 10.14.5
