I was pretty sure I saw a notification somewhere that the talks are already available, but I could have been blind.  I don't see any talks on Oculus' youtube channel (well there's one in there, but I already went to that one), no info on the Oculus Connect website, etc.   Any help is appreciated!  :)

The advert in question is the one regarding the brand new $399 retail price. Someone singing like Gin Wigmore or possibly Lana del Rey. Sounds like an epic song!

I am a CS student at UT Dallas, and want to create a data visualization application. I have used Unity, but that seems to be used specifically for creating games and the like. Are there different IDEs / languages that are used to create Oculus applications? Thanks for any help.

Where can i find the debug tool? I have the runtime 1.3.2 installed and own the CV1.I have been looking for the " OculusDebugTool.exe" but cant find it.  Any help is appreciatedthx

If i have too many assets the editor lags upwards of 10 minutes or more upon pressing play. But to make a The Sims type game i would need lots of assets. Is it possible?  I'd be Using Unity 5.6

While running and with an Oculus HDM attached does anyone know of a way to detect if the user/player has removed the headset? I'm trying to setup a script to trigger rendering on screen instructions to the desktop display and then reload the scene once a new player puts the headset on to restart the experience in a multi user scenario.

I use to test the returned value of "ovr_submitFrame" to know if the headset was in use.  But now it seem to return "Success" even if the headset is not on the user's head. What other test can I use to know if the headset is in use?Merci,Yves

I've been using a 32" as my primary monitor and used to have a 27" as a secondary.  The secondary died, so now I'm thinking a 34" widescreen with a slight curve would be perfect for my setup.  Essentially I want the vertical dimensions of the two monitors to be pretty much identical with the curved one being wider (of course).  I don't play many FPS games anymore so it's more for games like Diablo or whatever killer MMO comes next.  I'm pretty sensitive to screen tearing so I'd love a low refresh.  I'm also very picky with image and colour quality, so I'm willing to pay a decent amount if it gets me a great product.

Dear Oculs Marketing Team,I have been working with virtual reality for allmost 5 years with both Oculus and Vive. On the basis of my experiences, Oculus is by far my preferred VR technology and I am interested in knowing wether there is a chance to create an Oculus Official Point in Rome - Italy, where I live.I am writing here because I did not found any official Oculus contact in my city and in Italy.I already have enouogh space to create a VR experience for the audience and let them know the potential of the machine.A response would be hihgly appreciated. Can anyone tell me the right contacts to write to?RegardsMichele

Are there specific settings or lighting i should use? So that users can achieve presensce. Is heights one of the tricks to presence.

I'm noticing whenever i plug the Rift and start developing and testing in Unity, my computer fans get loud, i guess cause the computer is hot.But this doesn't seem to happen when i'm playing purchased VR games like Roborecall or whatever.

I bought a system for Touch to move with the stick or by moving your hands. man, i felt motion sickness. With xbox controller same thing. Is it best to implmenet motion through teleportation?

When recentering the camera in my game (loading a menu etc) the controller doesn't recenter to the new rotation. I couldn't find anything in the code to do this.Am I missing something?

I've a DK2 that I need to run with 0.8 drivers and SDK for Unity as I use my DK2 on an isolated network.According to https://developer3.oculus.com/documentation/game-engines/latest/concepts/unity-sdk-version-compatibility/I need OVRPlugin / Utilities version 0.1.3.0 Beta to run with 0.8 and Unity 5.2.2p2I found a link to 0.1.3.0 Beta on https://developer3.oculus.com/history/ but the link I found therehttps://developer.oculus.com/downloads/#version=game-engines-0.1.3.0-betapoints me to the general downloads area wher I cannot find this version of the utilities.Any idea where I could download them from pls?

Hi, I'm developing a game for Oculus Home Early Access, for PC only, with Unity5. The question is:I'm using Unity, how can I recenter the app when the user press the recenter option from the Oculus Universal Menu? I have a custom button to recenter inside the game and it works, but I just don't know how to get that callback from the Universal menu in the game ¿?The game is this one (If anyone wants a key for Oculus Home just ask!) ;)http://sandin.noip.me/sbvr/index.htmlThanks!

I've created a test application on the dev portal, set myself as a developer, entered a bunch of metadata, and uploaded a dummy build to my Alpha channel. The dev portal reports that the upload and processing were successful, and the app shows up in my Oculus client's Not Installed list, but there's a big X over the cover image and the message "Not Valid".If I go into the app's details, everything looks right except version number/release notes, which is blank. I tried uploading the Oculus World demo as a build to see if it was something specific to the exe or folder layout, but that yields the same result. Is there any way to tell what is wrong with it?

I'm using OVRAvatar to generate my hands/controllers which include a nice self-occluding shader that always shows your hands/controllers in front of everything else in the scene. This is great EXCEPT when I want to provide controller tooltips for what the various buttons do. I'm using a Worldspace canvas attached to each hand to display those tooltips. Is there a way to set up the canvas so that it renders in front of the OVRAvatar occluding shaders???

I'm using OVRAvatar to generate my hands/controllers. Since these are dynamically generated, I'm having trouble finding the references to the specific sub-component meshes (e.g., the A button, the left stick, the right trigger, etc) so I can light them up as needed.

i made a punching bag game. and it works to some extent. But with oculus touch if i punch closer my avatar hand can go through the bag. I put RIgidbody and sphere colliders on the avatar hands.    Setting the mass of the bag to something high doesn't do anything. If the hand penetrates the bag , the bag goes swinging like crazy , fast and far. I would like the hands to never penetrate the bag but instead just collide with the outside.Just experimenting i noticed setting a high mass to the bag didn't help at all so i just tried setting the bag's mass to 1 and the hands rigidbody mass to 0.03. Doesn't really work.

It's so blurry i was starting t othink the lenses were dirty but with Robo recall etc it looks crisp. Anyway to make it more crisp in my own Unity games?

To develop oculus games in Unity , you need the Oculus RUntime. But it's not in the developer.oculus.com anymore. Where do i get it? Or does it come integrated with the latest Unity already?

I'm using 4.11 Unreal engine.I copied oculus plugin to the Plugins folder. And I edited DefaultEngine.iniI attached PrivateDependencyModuleNames.Add("OnlineSubsystem"); to the projectName.build.cs fileMyProjectName.build.csMyActor.hMyActor.cppLevelBluePrint I game toggled trigger and crashed.at this point. I don't know where is wrong.Help me please. thank you.

This guide over here recommends using ASTC over ETC2. It makes perfect sense for my project as we are using quite a few HDR textures and ASTC is excellent at compressing these:http://malideveloper.arm.com/documentation/developer-guides/arm-guide-unity-enhancing-mobile-games/However I've noticed that Unreal 4 does not compress HDR textures at all with ASTC, I suspect because such functionality has not been implemented in the Cooker. Is this also the case with Oculus's branch of Unreal?

Hi!I've setup my project in Unreal 4.14 to Read and Write to Oculus Leaderboards using the "Read/Write Leaderboard Integer" BP nodes. In Unreal I don't see any issues when writing to it. On reading however, it does a successful read, but I get an int value of zero. Any suggestions where I could be going wrong? To Note, I still haven't pushed any copy of the project to Oculus yet, and am running it locally on my system.

Hi all! This is my first post here and I'm just a simple photographer, new to the VR world, so please correct me if I say anything dumb or violate any posting etiquette. I happen to have access to a full lineup of Phase One 100 megapixel medium format cameras, and I was wondering if there was any interest in the VR community in creating content with such systems. It would take a significant amount of data processing, and most of the interest in VR seems to be in the video domain, but if you wanted hyperrealistic environment/object recreation, I feel like these systems might be fairly useful. Here are some sample 2D photos taken on the system (google drive link because files are too big to attach):https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B4lJAQLztAD8TWdHWDY0U2lYQ1U?usp=sharingIn a nutshell, I'm wondering whether there's an interest in high resolution photography for VR. Looking forward to your feedback! Thanks!
