Could we get a button to enable Oculus Link from within ODH? Would be nice not to put on the headset for that.

I'm working on a simple game where a 3rd person player is controlled by the 2d axis movement on one of the controllers.  The movement is camera relative. Depending on the direction the headset is facing, the 3rd person player moves in the appropriate direction.  Everything works fine when testing the game in Unity.  When I build and run the game on Quest (or Quest 2), I get some unexpected behavior that I can't figure out.On Quest, the 3rd person player immediately starts moving (without any 2d axis movement on the controller). I used adb to stream the actual input, and it appears that the primary2Daxis is throwing off a value (even though I'm not pressing anything).  As well, the 3rd person player responds to head rotation differently, almost as if there is head rotation alters local direction, rather than global direction as it should.  I've got no idea how to troubleshoot this as the behavior is so different in-engine.  Any thoughts on where to begin?&n

Hi, I am trying to make a roomscale app for the Oculus Quest. I am using blueprints. I have a camera attached to a VROrigin (scene component). When I hold the Oculus button on the Oculus Quest the app re-centers based on the direction of the HMD. This is a problem in roomscale since it rotates the level. In project settings/OculusVr  disabling "recenter HMD with Controller" does not stop it. VRNotifications (delegate-VRControllerRevcentered) is called when the button is held. I can do something after it is called, but I would really like to disable it or find a workaround so that it doesn't rotate the level or change your position.  THANKS FOR READING

I am having a problem with uploading an APK to a release channel. The full error message is as follows:> GLES version not specified (android:glEsVersion in AndroidManifest.xml). GLES version of 2.0 or greater should be used.I have seen similar posts in the forum but this used to be a warning which you could ignore, but now it is treated as an error so I am blocked on it.I am using Unity 2018.4.12 LTS with Oculus Utilities 1.36.0 (latest as of posting) and used the option to generate a store compatible AndroidManifest.xml as described here:https://developer.oculus.com/distribute/latest/concepts/publish-mobile-manifest/In the Unity player settings I have set OpenGL ES 3 as the only Graphics API selected and ticked the 'require ES 3.1' option. This adds the following line to the AndroidManifest.xml that Unity generates:<uses-feature android:glEsVersion="0x00030001"  />I have checked this in the manifest file that appears in the staging folder when building the APK. I have al

Hi, I'm trying to build a VR climbing application in Unity for Quest 2. I want to be able to move the camera position to simulate change in elevation while leaving the hands in the same place. I have tried to do this by using ovrCamera.transform.Translate(distance) but when I do this, the hands also move with the camera (In Unity Inspector I set the reference to ovrCamera to be the CenterEyeAnchor). Does anyone know how to dissociate translation of camera from those of hands, so it appears that the perspective has changed while keeping hands in the same place? Thanks.

I see this in many games: achievements that are still locked and are count based often display a completion rate, like you have to kill/collect 50 of something, and your count is 20, it displays 40%. When I configure achievements for my App Lab game, I don't see completion rates for my count based achievements. I can't find anything in the documentation either. How can I have this information displayed?

Is anyone noticing that your app is not showing up in new Test User accounts?  The apps DO show up in the Test User accounts if you make the Test User a developer in the organization, but NOT if you invite the Test User by email.  This is true including for apps that have definitely worked for Test Users before. Oculus, are you aware of this as an issue?

https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/unity-integration-archive/ For me, it's the same page as the current version. Is anyone else seeing previous versions?

I'm experiencing issues with Osig Generator. For a few days, I'm unable to generate Osig files for new test devices.I'm getting this generic facebook error: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."I payed attempts on different computers, using Chrome and Firefox, making sure no ad bloquer or privacy plugin is active but it does change the results. What can I do?Many thanks in advance!

Hello,Just a basic question regarding developing for Quest 2 and/or Rift S / CV1. Is the API fairly the same for all devices? I have the S and CV1 and was on the fence on buying the Quest 2. Are there specific mobile function calls used for the Quest series that are not available for the PC only devices? I would imagine there would be Quest only function calls and also functions that would not port over to the Quest from Rift Based applications that would need to be converted over to work. I am just trying to get a basic feel if maybe I should learn to program first with what devices I own before purchasing a Quest. Thanks in advance,Stefan

With the recent changes pushing for Facebook accounts to be linked to Oculus accounts, and the social features like leaderboards now requiring the accounts to be linked, testing these features in our game now requires me to make multiple Facebook accounts.Given that for the last few years Facebook has been quite aggressive in chasing down 'fake' accounts, and especially the recent issues with people linking accounts getting their accounts banned and their Quests blocked, is there some 'safe' or approved way to go about this? Thanks!Darren

I have an app developed in Unity3D that loads a 360 video from the "sdcard/Movies" folder. It is running fine on my Quest 1 but I can't get the permissions set correctly on my Quest 2.If I use "adb shell dumpsys package <package_name>" to check for the permissions it is listed as"android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: restricted=true"Then I try to use the ADB command to change it"adb shell pm grant <package_name> android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"But this doesn't change the restricted setting to granted=true as I would expect.I have also included the "<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/>" in the Android manifest file.Is there something that I'm missing?Any help is apreciated.Eskild.

Hello, after developing a VR app in Oculus Quest and I repurpose the app to run on Android phone instead, while the Oculus Integration is still inside Unity directory (Oculus folder), no matter what I export and modify the Android Manifest file (intent.category.DEFAULT/INFO/LAUNCHER), the app doesn't show up in application list (App Drawer) in my android phone/tablet. In the end I have to remove the entire Oculus folder and magically it appears again. So, my question is, how to have the app icon shows up and I don't have to remove Oculus Integration folder. I believe there is a parameter somewhere that hide my app that was triggered automatically while Oculus folder is still inside Unity project directory. Thanks!

I'm following the Escape Room Unity Tutorial.  All was well until I ran into version issues in Unity's instructions. (#2 Creating a Unity Project - https://learn.unity.com/tutorial/unit-3-using-unity-to-develop-vr-experiences?uv=2018.4&courseId=5d955b5dedbc2a319caab9a0#5d967d98edbc2a5ecf7873a7)So I went to Oculus documentation on how to set up Unity: https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-conf-settings/?device=RIFTAll was well until I got to "Set Rendering Preferences".  In the Edit > Project Settings > Player > Windows tab > XR Settings area, I have these notes on depricated and legacy items.Consequently, I can't complete the rest of the procedure.Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I'm using Oculus Go controls (touchpad + trigger) in my WebXR molecular viewer at www.ibiblio.org/e-notes/webxr/mini.htm. To migrate from Go to Quest I'd like to know, what corresponds to "selectend event" and "xrSession.inputSources[0].gamepad.axes[0/1] on Quest?

I noticed the announcement that v18.0 was published to the Unity Asset Store on 7/7/2020, but I cannot find it. Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible via Unity script to trigger the Oculus save screenshot function so the player can save pictures with an in game button? Ideally the saved image will be from a separate pre-framed camera.

Hey guys,I know a user's Oculus id, as in the id you retrieve after calling Oculus.Platform.Users.GetLoggedInUser(), is subject to change. Does anyone know how often this happens? Is it periodic? Or does it just happen under specific circumstances? For example I may retrieve OculusID 2100927089938923 one day and 3410928012258949 the next for the same logged in user.Let me know. Thanks!

For WebVR I've found: vrDisplay.requestPresent ([{source: canvas, attributes: {highRefreshRate: true}}]);For WebXR only examples with: requiredFeatures: ["local-floor"]For requiredFeatures: ["highRefreshRate"]. I get "Unrecognized feature requested: highRefreshRate" Error in Oculus Go. Can I get supported features?and how to set 'foveationLevel: 3'?

On the Oculus Dashboard, when creating a new App the Oculus Quest option is not available unless you have been approved. So, what steps are required to be able to test Platform Services, such as matchmaking when sideloading a debug build onto the Quest?I was not able to create a matchmaking session because I was not entitled to the app. This was an issue I had with the Go and I had to upload a build and add my email to the build; but I am not able to create an Oculus Quest app and upload a build.
