Is there any way to unfocus a Custom UI using a script so the player does not have to do it themselves? I have a series of UI interactions and after they are over, I want to return the player to the main environment.

I want to make a player automatically grab an object when they bump into it instead of having to press the hold/grab button. Is there a way to do this? I don't see any method that would allow me to place an object in an avatar's hand.

Hi at all!I'm trying to start another activity with a different panel. From starter template I take the button and prepare the intent.I want to re-use the original environment and register a new panel for the new activity, but if I try I have this: java.lang.Exception: Native Assert. I'm trying to understand how to integrate gen ai with Horizon as a dev/creator... for example, suppose a user wants to generate a texture at runtime in-world, is there some way to connect with my external gen AI server?  If there is no way for horizon to allow for me to send to my external server, does horizon have in-world functions/methods that support the use of gen AI?  There was a session about this - but i had a prior commitment, will notes be provided - https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Events-Calendar/Meta-Presents-Using-the-Power-of-Gen-AI-to-Master-Horizon-Worlds/ec-p/1312429#M48

Hi! I'm trying to learn how to upload a model with a metallic, shiny look. I've read the file naming guidelines, but unfortunately, after several attempts, I still can't get it to work. I must be doing something wrong. I'm exporting from Adobe Substance Painter.  Is someone willing to look at my files and explain what I'm doing wrong?

Hello,I’ve been doing some tests and understand that audio files can't be uploaded, so I started experimenting with the sound recorder. However, I’ve run into a snag trying to figure out where the mic signal is being sourced from by default.I'm using a Focusrite 1820 in my studio setup, but I haven’t had any luck getting any recordings. Is there a video or guide that walks through the setup process? Or is there a specific setting that lets you select the recording device? Here’s the documentation I’ve been looking at:https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/code-blocks-and-gizmos/use-the-sound-recorder-gizmoAlso would being able to upload sound files be in the development pipeline in the future?

Hi,I'm developing an XR experience with Unreal engine 5.4.4 and Meta XR plugin 71, the building process is successful but once it install on Quest3, the installation going to be failed, the log pointed that the Target API should be on 33 which is 33 but it said is 32, what should I do?

Hi,I have two local scriptsSomeLocalItem.tsAnotherLocalItem.tsSomeLocalItem has reference to Entity with AnotherLocalItem.I want:1) Inside SomeLocalItem invoke method on referenced AnotherLocalItem.2) Inside SomeLocalItem read some property from AnotherLocalItem.Note, both scripts are local, so Behaviour.ts doesn't work here without rewriting it to work locally. Is there simpler way?SomeLocalItem.tsimport * as hz from 'horizon/core';import { AnotherLocalItem } from 'AnotherLocalItem';class SomeLocalItem extends hz.Component<typeof SomeLocalItem> {  static propsDefinition = {    anotherLocalItemEntity: { type: hz.PropTypes.Entity }  };  start() {    this.connectCodeBlockEvent(this.entity, hz.CodeBlockEvents.OnButton1Down, () => {this.onButton1Down();});  }  onButton1Down() {    this.anotherLocalItem = this.props.anotherLocalItemEntity as AnotherLocalItem; // This doesn't work, how to assign the entity to the component?

I'm using v74 of the Meta XR All-in-One SDK and I want to support both hands and controllers in an app. Problem is that I've been using Poke Interaction for navigation buttons and they only work with hands and I can't get the poke buttons to work with controllers.Am I missing something here?I can see the controllers in the app, but they don't interact. I tried adding a Poke Interactor to the controllers (under "ControllerInteractors") but haven't had any luck getting this working. In the camera rig building block, I have Controller Driven Hand Poses type set to Conforming to Controller, but none of the settings in the dropdown seem to make any difference.I really expected the poke buttons to work for both. Anyone got any ideas how to accomplish this?Is it even *supposed* to work with both? Thanks for your help,Jeff.

I have a world where a team with one designated captain get in a starship and travel to a star station. They can choose one of multiple star stations each at a different star.I have coded one star station and it takes up about 2.5 Gb. Now most of the star stations share textures and other resources, but still I am looking into some world or asset streaming way to split this up.If I choose the sublevel approach does that mean that everyone in my world must be in the same sublevel? Ideally I'd like it to be possible for different teams to choose different star stations.

Hi everyone, I'm trying (unsuccessfully so far) to force the aiming animation. I noticed that when you equip a weapon with the gun pose set, the animation plays for about 2 seconds (the player extends their forearm). I'd like to keep that animation active until the weapon is unequipped. Another way to achieve a similar result is by holding down the right mouse button—but without the camera focusing and without disabling the run. Is that possible?

I was able to build and deploy (Quest 2) hello_xr from https://github.com/KhronosGroup/OpenXR-SDK-Source using the instructions from https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/android/mobile-build-run-hello-xr-app/ . However, whenever I load the hello_xr project in Android Studio and open one of the cpp source files such as graphicsplugin_opengles.cpp, I get the following warning "This file does not belong to any project target; code insight features might not work properly".Any ideas on how I can get the code insight features to work?

Im on ptc v66 and I got the update for the official rollout of v66. When I click update the download progress pops up for a second and goes away. The button to update is greyed out and stuck “updating…” I’ve let it sit for quite a while. Reset several times and nothing. If you leave update and go back it has the option to update now again. Resets do nothing

Hi all,I having a little issue with differentiating player and NPC.Side note: I have the NPC gizmo in the editor and enabled avatar ai_agent. I named my NPC "NameNPC"I have this script that was referenced from "Intro to desktop Editor and Typescript". I added some logic to check if it's an NPC. If it is an NPC it will print "Should be NPC". If it is a player it will print "Should be Player"Since I only have one NPC and myself. I was expecting to see "Should be Player" and "Should be NPC" printed onceHowever, not only was Should be Player printed three tiems, but it thought NPC was a player, than deleted the NPC and than said NPC is a player again. See attached belowThis would be a problem because I have other logic where enemies will check when player entered world and follow that player, but it will start following the NPC instead because it thinks the NPC is a playerHow come the NPC is treated as a player at the beginning? How can I make sure the NPC is never treated as a player - I

My 10 year old can no longer play with others in gorilla tag since the latest update. He only hears monkey sounds, cannot talk or hear others. We have re-set, updated the game. He got a message (3/31/24) when powering on that parental restrictions have been updated by meta but I cannot find anything online supporting that or telling me what has changed.  Has something changed that no longer allows under 13 to play? Is there a way to bypass?

Hi Creators,1. Is there a meta support email to help with Payout method issues? If not below are my issues2. Routing Number: I'm not sure what my routing number is. Neither does my bank. They googled it and took a guess. I entered the routing number that my bank provided in my payout method, but I am unsure if it's correct. Is there a way to do a test deposit and a test withdrawl of a small amount - say $0.01 to see if it's correct? Similar to what paypal does when you first connect enter your bank information. SIDE NOTE: I'm in Canada, according to what the bank googled "a leading zero, the institution number, and the branch number all with no dashes" so that's what I did but I have no clue if it's correct without a test deposit.3. I entered my 10 digit phone number under Payout account info > Business phone number. But the first 2 digit is always missing

So when I’m downloading/updating games or try to shut down my headset, it runs really slow. The tracking is fine, but with downloading, updating or  holding the power button it’s really slow. The power menu has a delay and the download speed is 1,4KBs. I tried doing a speed test but that says I have 265Mbps. What can I do to fix this?

Here's what I hope is an easy question. Once I hit a trigger, I want to deactivate it.  However, making it invisible does not deactivate it, and setting collidable to false  this.entity.collidable.set(false); gives me an error message  "Unexpected error for action: setCollidability". What am I doing wrong?

We are trying to build a dashboard in Meta VR for our MEV Bot Solana , but the SDK keeps crashing even though we have updated to the latest version. Nothing has helped so far.

Lately, I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue in Horizon Worlds when scripting with codeblocks. Very often, my entire script suddenly disappears, and even when I try to undo, it doesn’t come back. This forces me to redo everything from scratch.Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is this a known bug, or is there a way to prevent it from happening? Thanks in advance for any insights!

I'm encountering an issue on macOS (Apple M2) where the XR Simulator launches but then freezes continuously with the following error in the logs:[OVRPlugin] [XRCMD][failure] [XR_ERROR_HANDLE_INVALID]: xrEndFrame(m_xrSession, &frameEndInfo), arvr/projects/integrations/OVRPlugin/Src/Util/CompositorOpenXR.cpp:11579 (arvr/projects/integrations/OVRPlugin/Src/Util/CompositorOpenXR.h:342) UnityEngine.Debug:LogWarning (object) OVRManager:OVRPluginLogCallback (OVRPlugin/LogLevel,intptr,int) (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.core@f03b72423aa0/Scripts/OVRManager.cs:2156) [OVRPlugin] EndFrame_Internal() FAILED (arvr/projects/integrations/OVRPlugin/Src/Util/CompositorOpenXR.cpp:18389) UnityEngine.Debug:LogWarning (object) OVRManager:OVRPluginLogCallback (OVRPlugin/LogLevel,intptr,int) (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.core@f03b72423aa0/Scripts/OVRManager.cs:2156)The window opens, but there is no interaction whatsoever, and only a black screen is displayed in the render view.&

I'm struggling to figure out a good learning resource for a lot of building in the Horizon World with the desktop editor. While the documentation gives some clues as to how to do things, it's not clear to me how to actually do some very basic things I'd like to do. I have a mountain of brainbusters. For instance, one of the many things I'd like to be able to do is swap a texture through typescript. AI is sure confident in the code it produces, and has been helpful to a point, when it's wrong it's a wild goose chase through documentation.  Can I adjust mapping of a texture with code? How would I even search documentation for that? Is there an active real time community resource people are using? I've seen some dead discord links around. The tutorials and documentation has been helpful but still I feel like I'm moving at a painfully slow pace. I'm having a blast building and my ideas move faster than my ability. All advice, guidance and direction is appreciat

What's the deal with backface culling in horizon? Example above the object the texture looks perfect FULL LEAVES under the tree the leaves look INVISIBLE?Any tricks I've seen other places successfully accomplish this?

Hello!I continue my CUI journey and am attempting to overlay icons on my typescript buttons by using absolute position and zIndex.  I've run into an issue where the icon blocks the button functionality and would like to know if it's possible to set an image to ignore raycast.
