Solved

I'm trying to share an asset folder with another developer. However, in the web interface when I add the username using the share button, I get this error (where xxx is the user's name I'm trying to add) 1 person could not be given accessxxx is not able to use shared folders at this time. What does this error mean? This user is added as an editor of my world, but I can't share any asset folders with him, apparently.

Can the AI-generated skyboxes be used in primitive worlds, or will it prevent from publishing? While most of my worlds these days are trimesh, I do have some prim worlds that I'd like to publish and don't want to error out because of the skybox tool. Thanks!

Hi creators,I'm using the Chop n Pop as reference. My goal is to collide with the trigger (treating it as a bullet collectable). When triggered, increase the count on the UI. However, the UI count is not being updated. Here is what I have done:I have a CustomUITrigger.ts attached to a Trigger and a HeadsUpDisplay.ts attached to a CustomUIIn play mode, I have Custom UI display an image and count of "0" Here is my CustomUITrigger.ts. OnPlayerEnterTrigger is being called because I have a console.log thats gets printed everytime I collide with the trigger. However, this.ammoUi?.updateCount(this.ammoCollected++); this not appear to do anything. I know it is because ammoUi is null, but I don't get why it is null. Here is my HeadsUpDisplay.ts (split into two images). I'll be honest, the UiComponentsRegistry was copied straight from Chop n Pop. I have no clue what it is doing which may be why ammoUi is null....although when I added a console log to see if entity id had a value, it did print

Hello unity devs,I didn't find anything on this topic here in the dev forum. But this should also target other devs:I can't get room scale to work atm with v74.0.2 of the meta all in one sdk.As some other users / players noted the boundary changed (somehow in v74?). https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/Boundary-bug-I-ve-never-seen-before/m-p/1303816/highlight/true#M359878 For me I had this teardrop "stationary" boundary in my app, which uses "room scale" and worked before. Whenever I step outside the boundary my content disappears and a popup asks me if I want to create a new boundary. For an unknown reason the quests goes into "stationary" mode when I start my "room scale" app! This guy mentions to go to the quick settings and turn on "free room" instead of the "stationary": https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/Quest-3-suddenly-won-t-save-use-roomscale-boundaries/m-p/1309377/highlight/true#M362193 That works and now I have "free room". But "free r

According to the LLama, it says I can upload .mp3 or .wav files in the Desktop Editor. I can't see anywhere to do that. The asset types I can upload/add are the usual text, texture, etc.

Dear MHCP community,Is this a glitch or something? I have a pretty good performance like time spent and believe that I should earn a good amount of dollar. Thank youHave a good day ahead

I'm trying to use RayCastGizmo with objectTag, but it seems like the tag set in the interface isn't being used in the script. Example:const options = {  layerType: hz.LayerType.Objects,  maxDistance: 10};const hit = this.rayCaster!.raycast(origin, direction); Will hits all objects, not just the ones with the objectTag set in the RayCastGizmo. Has anyone else run into this? Has this feature been removed

Hello, I don’t know if this is place to ask this, but when in build mode. I go to try to save asset and it doesn’t save anywhere? If someone could direct me on right direction that would be awesome. Thank you!

Hi Guys, how do I get access to the shared assets? I understand this is done within the "Meta Creators Program" I don't have access, I'm am in the MHCP but I've never received access to the "Meta Creators Program" discord.   Other members have mentioned having access to the MCP for shared assets. Thanks in advance for any information/assistant..Looking in the Build menu under assets > commerce, I do see other folders for different assets (including textures) but all folders are empty.    Am I missing something or should I have more patience to allow the access to be accessible to me?

Hello!I'm currently developing a Colocation App,my goal is to store information of object position for take them be in the same position when you login again.Actually i would like to just instantiate this objects as child of the colocation anchor and keep in the save info the localposition as an offset.the problem i would like to troubleshoot is about the building block of colocation, it is creating every time you init him a new anchor, instead for my usage I would prefer to check if he have a anchor saved and then load/instantiate it.what i can do?here some extra informations:Engine: Unity 6 (6000.0.37f1)Meta XR SDK: 72.0.0

Hello everyone,I've been working on custom UIs and encountered an issue that's quite frustrating. Whenever I try to load an ImageSource from an asset, the image often fails to display. This problem occurs with any image, and once it happens, the image won't load for the duration of the session and sometimes even after. The only workaround I've found is to leave the editor for a few hours, but when I return, the issue reappears with different images. This might be related to this post published a few days ago. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Thank you

If a player clicks the focus prompt button that is built in with customUI, do they enter FocusedInteraction? Meaning could I use the CodeBlockEvent OnPlayerEnteredFocusedInteraction? Right now my assumption is no because it is not working for me, but I wanted to check in case my code is the problem.  preStart() { this.connectCodeBlockEvent(this.entity, CodeBlockEvents.OnPlayerEnteredFocusedInteraction, this.onFocusedInteraction.bind(this)); } start() {} initializeUI() { return View({ }); } onFocusedInteraction(player: Player) { console.log("onFocusedInteraction triggered"); if (this.entity) { player.focusUI(this.entity, { fillPercentage: 0.4, }); console.log("UI focused successfully"); } else { console.error("Entity is null or undefined"); } }

Hi,Running into an issue where my Spatial CUI hides spawned assets when user enters the interface.  The spawns appear only after I disengage the interface.  This occurs only in the desktop editor.  In vr the spawned in assets appear as normal. Is this normal behaviour?  Is there a way to prevent this? It's an in-game shop:  The user hits a buy button - the asset is spawned in near the button.

I have an issue where when testing a passthrough app over Link in Unity Play Mode (using Oculus/Meta SDK, not OpenXR), I get a black screen instead of passthrough. Passthrough often works the first time after connecting the headset or restarting the editor. Subsequent play modes however produce black screen (the app works fine, but just passthrough is broke). This is on Quest Pro, I haven't been able to test the issue on other hardware. I am pretty sure all the settings are properly set up, have followed the docs closely. The built APK always works fine. Anyone else had this issue and solved it? Any help appreciated as it really is a bummer not to be able to test passthrough in editor.

Hello everyone!I am planning on building an application where a user can use their hands to directly interact with a button, a slider and a dial (as opposed to using the joystick and raycast to manipulate the UI element).Oculus has a template for virtual buttons that can be interacted with directly with the hand. But I am struggling to find if such a thing exists for sliders and knobs. All the examples for sliders that I've seen so far use the joystick rather than letting users pinch and move the selector. I haven't seen any examples for a knob yet. Thus: Is there some example code for sliders and dials that allow for direct hand interactions?

I updated the Meta SDK All-in-One from 65 to 66 and now the XR-Simulator just shows a white screen instead of an environment. Stopping and restarting only results in the simulator not even showing up.Why do you break everything that works, Meta?

To avoid wasting time can someone confirm that this model will import properly into HZW?

Hi Creators!I am using Desktop Editor and Typescript.I am trying to spawn enemies, when the enemies spawn they will move around and look for the player, enemies can also get destroyed by bullets. The enemy is a 3D model in my assets. I can spawn the 3D model. I can also make the enemy move IF the enemy is already in the hierarchy and I attached a move/collision scripts I created. What I can't figure out is how do I attach the move script to the ENEMY ASSET (Similar to attaching scripts to a prefab in Unity).  So that when the enemy is spawned, it starts moving? There is no script option unless I drag the enemy asset to the hierarchy, but then that means I'm editing a copy and not the original asset.  Thanks!

I'm getting a message "Your Horizon profile doesn’t have payout accounts set up.".This is odd because I only have one Meta Horizon profile so far as I know and I get regular payments from Meta for my Virtual Starship app in the Meta Horizon app store. In any case, the message does not say *where* I can set up a payout account.Any advice?

I have some spare quest cash that I want to use. Any ideas? I already have most good games and most beat saber songs. Should I gift some of my friends some games or smth? (No I will not gift you anything, not even a dime)

Hello, here is the TextGizmo  documentation. 1) I'm struggling with this localizableText object that must make automatic translation but nothing is working. export declare class TextGizmo extends Entity {    /**     * Creates a human-readable representation of the entity.     * @returns A string representation of the `TextGizmo`.     */    toString(): string;    /**     * The content to display in the text label.     *     * @remarks     * If the content was previously set with `localizableText`, the getter     * of this property will return the localized string in the language of the     * local player. Do not use the returned text in attributes shared with other     * players. Other players might use differnet languages, and only the     * `LocalizableText` object is

Hi Creators!Citedal in horizon worlds here saves user progress. It will know how many levels I have completed. How are they doing that? Is it with persistent data? Or are there other ways to save level progression? If it is persistent data, where can I find documentation on how to make persistent data in desktop editor with typescript?I know how to create persistent variables with codeblocks but not in the desktop editor https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/vr-creation/scripting/use-persistent-variables/Citedal: https://horizon.meta.com/world/279976781332952/?locale=en_USThanks!

Hi Friends. I have VS Code installed and the Desktop Editor has automatically recognized it. However, when I try to open up a script from the Desktop Editor, I receive an error (see attached). I am unable to find the exact file path on where to locate the VS Code. Anyone can help with this.

If I'm already on boarding MHCP, do I need to apply every month or it's auto renewal?

Is there some trick to changing the content of a TextGizmo at runtime? I call text.set with a string and it doesn't update. If I print the contents after set with text.get it returns "..." which isn't the default contents that are on the textgizmo in scene. How do you update these?
