Multi-User VR Application Using Meta Quest and FMETP - Anchor Synchronization IssueHello everyone,I'm working on a multi-user educational VR application designed to offer an immersive experience where several players interact together in virtual reality to solve puzzles.Unfortunately, due to confidentiality reasons, I can't share the specific content of the application. I picked up this project from a previous developer, so I'm still getting familiar with some parts of the code. While I have experience developing AR/VR applications, most of my past projects were offline single-player applications. This is my first networked VR application, and I'm encountering some issues related to spatial anchor synchronization.Application Overview:The application consists of two parts (both grouped within the same Unity project):1 Server Application (Windows)Used by the game master to manage:Scenario selection and launch.Data synchronization between VR headsets.Tracking player progress during puzzle

I use UE-5.3.2, the MetaXR Plugin, Meta Quest Pro and MetaHumans for a VR project. My PC setup includes 32gb RAM and a Nvidia 3080ti. Typically, when I use the VR Preview, I consistently get 72fps which is the Hz the Quest Pro uses. However, when I work on the project, e.g. move actors around the scene or change some scripts, for a few minutes (5-15min), I only get 35fps/36fps and it seems to be locked on this fps value. After restarting Unreal, I have 72fps again. What could be the problem?

Good Evening!I purchased the Meta Quest 3 Touch Plus controllers left and right. I want to add the touch plus controllers for my husband to use, which we share on one headset. I want to keep my original Meta Quest 3 controllers. Is this possible to do? Can I have two sets of controllers for one headset to play multiplayer games?Thank you for your response in advance.Deborah

Tried to update new apk, it does not work. I just get theBuild Upload Error - an error has occurred for app id: xxxxxxIs anyone else also experiencing this?

I have always had an issue with people not being able to hear me on my pc microphone. Last night, (yes, I was tired) I noticed that Steam was using my microphone, but I never use Steam, so I uninstalled steam. I may have uninstalled some sound program, but I cannot remember what it was. Today, I come home, and Horizon World Desktop Editor was not installed. I tried to install it and it says it was unable to do so. What troubleshooting steps should I start at? What other apps should I look for to make sure I am not missing anything? I do have Link and that is where I tried to reinstall. Any help is appreciated.

Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions for applying a true, shiny glass-like texture with transparency to an object ( other than a plane) (e.g., a real-looking glass fish bowl)? I can get glass planes of all colors/transparencies to work, but any other shapes just come in opaque when I use the same technique.

On the host we can query the position and orientation of the head as follows:fun getHeadPose(): Pose {    val head = Query.where { has(AvatarAttachment.id) }          .eval()          .filter { it.isLocal() && it.getComponent<AvatarAttachment>().type == "head" }         .first()    return head.getComponent<Transform>().transform }In a material shader we can get the position of the left and right eye via the uniforms:g_ViewUniform.eyeCenter0 and g_ViewUniform.eyeCenter1But is there either...* ....a way to get the position of the head in the shader (short of passing it as a uniform attribute every frame)?or* ... a way to get the position (or relative position) of the left and right eye on the host?

I'd like to see an easy to understand sample using colocation. Not a bloated example with no documentation (that already exists) . I already know about this: https://github.com/oculus-samples/Unreal-CoLocationHS And I can compile it using oculus fork of unreal engine but it doesn't share anchors, you can't see each other and the client can't see the menu to spawn boxes, the buttons make no sense because there is no documentation (if there is then where is it?? WHAT IS PT? ), The top button to find colocation always goes red and doesn't do anything.... So it's basically useless to me.  Finding any info on how to do this is next to impossible unless you get lucky.  I search colocation and nothing comes up.  Also the example that uses photon is way too complicated. Bloated. No documentation. No guides, no tutorials. Unless you have the guides and tutorials hidden somewhere. its a pain to find any info.  This is so annoying.

I see in the Custom Component Starter Sample the execute() method fetches the head pose as follows:var headPose: Pose = getScene()!!.getViewPose()I assume this returns the position of the head sensor on the device in the current world coordinate system. Is there a way to fetch the positions/poses of the left and right eye relative to the head position?Follow up: is it possible to have different transforms in the ECS components depending on which eye is being rendered?

If a mentor has been in your world in the past, before March 11, 2025, can you still use that world in the competition as long as they have not had anything to do with it from the announcement on and you do not use anything (such as scripting) that they helped with in the past prior to March 11, 2025?

I was working in a World that started to flake out and eventually became unresponsive. So I restarted the Desktop Editor and now I can't load back into it or any other World (such as the Tutorial ones). Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi All,When configuring a script's propsDefinition, I want to specify an array to hold a list of related assets. I saw the PropTypes.AssetArray type, but when I put this in my propsDefinition, I don't see any way to assign a value in the editor. Are the Array PropTypes not usable? Here is the API documentation. It does not provide a lot to go on. https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/reference/2.0.0/core_proptypesThanks!

Hey everyone! I’ve got two questions:What’s the recommended resolution and size for textures? I’ve uploaded a few, but I’ve noticed they appear blurry when applied to shapes. The same issue seems to happen with PNGs (pictures or clipart) in my world. When you move too far away, they get blurry. I’ve seen other worlds where the images stay sharp, even when you move back. Any tips on how to achieve that?

I want to make MR app using Computer Vision technology. But I don't know How can I access my VR's front camera.I want to get front camera's image to process. Can I access Quest 3's front camera?

I upgraded my project to Unity 6 from Unity 2022 LTS. Here's my current setup:Unity 6000.0.27f1Meta XR Core SDK 69.0.1Meta XR Interaction SDK Essentials 69.0.1Meta XR Voice SDK 69.0.0With this setup, the Core SDK requires the use of GameActivity, but the Voice SDK's dictation functionality requires Activity. As a result, dictation cannot be executed on Unity 2023.2+.This is an error on Quest 3.Is this a known issue? Or is there a possible workaround? Here’s a related information for reference:https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Unity-Development/Important-Unity-6-information/td-p/1252153https://discussions.unity.com/t/voice-sdk-crash-on-activate-meta-quest-3/935246

Hello, I need help from Meta please. I can't login to the Meta quest app with my account because I receive the attached error. I am unable to open a support ticket as the serial number for my Oculus Rift does not work. I did have an oculus account link to my same email but I believe it has been deleted now (I haven't used it in a year or so). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Chris

Hey, 2025 has started already and we also got v72 update, can anyone please tell me when camera access is coming around?Meta pls let us know something.......

Hi, fairly new to working with Unity and certainly new to working with it for developing VR/MR apps, but I wanted to dip my toe in the water with a VERY simple, almost proof of concept app that would work on the quest 3, and I'm running into a MOUNTAIN of trouble.  I tried using meta AI to help fill in the gaps, but as I'm sure we all know it's very limited in the help it can give. The short version is that I want to make an MR app that can look at surfaces like walls and tables, and detect a color on them.  Let's say if I take a laser pointer and draw a quick line, I want to be able to see that red light on the surface, and have the app react to it.  I've gone through some startup tutorials, and I have a very basic app that pulls surface data, but the "reading color from the camera" part is proving to be exceedingly difficult to even get started on. From what I understand, I needed to attach a script to the main camera object that would take an image from the

The screen is not black, the brightness is just very low and the post process changes do nothing- Im using the 5.5 oculus fork- Android preview looks normal- Changing color settings like saturation, gamma, LUT or gain doesn't do anything after packaging- It goes darker even if I don't change any post process settings- Auto exposure is off- When using r.Mobile.TonemapSubpass 0 everything looks the same as the android preview- Mobile HDR is OFF- Mobile multi-view is ON- Forward shading is ON

Hi Installed and ran version 201 and also tried 203 just now and I am unable to see anything other then the back ground when I start the editor. I have opened a support ticket but was curious to see if anyone else is having my issue. None of the active content (links) are visible although I can see the mouse cursor change when i hover over something clickable.Main ScreenRandom Click

I attempted to use the AI, but it just gave me code that Visual Studio Code doesn't like. What's the ingredients/code where if you hit a spot, you get teleported to another spot.  I'm having difficulties with this.

Hello. I was in charge of modifying the Oculus project from 5 years ago. It is a project that uses NGUI and OVRig (an asset that is scheduled to be released).Since there is not enough time to upgrade to XR, I want to build it as it was before. Unity is version 2019.4.24f1. Currently, I can connect to Link or move scenes well in the Editor, but when I install the apk file on Oculus and proceed, the "SceneManager.LoadScene" function does not work. All projects are the same. There are no duplicate names in the SceneManager class, it does not work even when loaded with the Scene index, I did not omit the Scene in the Build, and the Scene Name is not wrong. I have been stuck in the current state for a week. Finally, I am posting on the forum to ask for help. Please help me.. It's a life crisis.. Save me.

After the automatic update to version 74, my game no longer launches in VR mode as expected. Instead, it runs in windowed mode and closes after a few seconds, despite all configurations being set up correctly.Everything was working perfectly before the update.I am using Unreal Engine 5.2 on macOS Sonoma, with Developer Hub updated.Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Please advise.

I'm working with a SceneTexture instance passed to a shader for rendering in this fashion: val videoTexture = SceneTexture(Color.valueOf(0f, 0f, 1f, 1f)) videoMaterial = SceneMaterial.custom("myShader", arrayOf( SceneMaterialAttribute("videoTexture", SceneMaterialDataType.Texture2D) )).apply { setTexture("videoTexture", videoTexture) }Is there any way to update the videoTexture without creating a new SceneTexture instance? I've tried the following:frame?.copyPixelsToBuffer(copyBuffer!!) videoTexture.update(copyBuffer!!, frame!!.width, frame.height, 4) videoMaterial!!.setTexture("videoTexture", videoTexture)where frame is a Bitmap with a per pixel byte count of 4 (format ARGB_8888). It results in no visible changes to the texture, even if copyBuffer is empty. It's hard to tell if this is the correct usage or if this update function even does anything at all considering the the lack of information on the official documentation. I've also tried looking through&n
