Using Unity 6.0.41 and the latest v74 version of the Meta SDK, when I launch a Scene with some kind of a feature that needs synthetic room environments, the Simulator runs, but it is blocked and non-interactive, because the synth_env_server that runs with it just goes into a infinite loading loop. What I noticed is that the problem comes when synth_env_server_extra_rooms.app is started with "-batchmode" argument added, if I go and try to start it manually without the "-batchmode" argument it seems to start fine. Is there way to modify the default behaviour of the Xr Simulator in the Editor to start without -batchmode?

Hello all. I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this. I am new to the partner program and also the forum.I have seen many people talk about and mention the discord. I understand Meta is pushing the community towards this forum, but I feel left out by not even being able to join the discord. Even if the point is to leave the discord, it still feels like a social wall between the newer partners/creators and the old ones, which is not considered welcoming (at least here in Sweden!).If anyone wants to show me around, or at least add me somewhere where I can find fun creators to work with, please connect with me. I would appreciate that alot. All the best.

I have a memoriam world for celebrities that have passed away this year for people to gather and remember them. It's called Deaths in 2025 and I'm not able to publish it anymore. Is it possible that I have inadvertently violated community guidelines? Should I rename it and/or put an age restriction on it? THX

Hi all,I'm using the latest avatar SDK and I want to set up a local third person avatar with animated legs. I looked at the NetworkLoopbackExample sample scene, so I added the OVR Animation Behaviour script to the local avatar. However, the legs don't animate, they just stay still. Is there a way to make them move? Thanks in advance for any help.

I am using Unreal Engine 5.4.4 with the MetaXR plugin v66, and I also tried v71 with the same result.I want to have some objects anchored in the room, and I want to interact with them using a pointer attached to the controller. To do that, I am using the Blueprint events "OnComponentBeginOverlap" and "OnComponentEndOverlap", when I touch another object with that pointer component, these events are called once when beginning the overlap, and once when ending the overlap. If the other object is a child of an actor with an OculusXRAnchorComponent, these events are fired constantly, even if the object and the pointer seem to keep colliding.

Hi there, My son can play Gorilla Tag, but when he joins a public lobby, the game puts him in a lobby with no people in it, except for himself. All of his movement works fine and there has been no damage to the VR headset. Whenever, he does attempt to go into the public lobbies, instead of it being his normal name (Lemon), it is gorilla followed by random numbers.  Everything was working fine and then my son went 10 days or so without using his VR headset, this issue started when he tried to go back on. We have done a factory reset, we have uninstalled and re-installed the game, we have logged out of the Meta Horizon app and logged back in. We downloaded to the cloud. I updated the Horizon app. After all of this, it let him into a public lobby for 5 minutes, we thought the issue was fixed but then when he stopped using it and then went to go into a public lobby the issue started again. We have not had any success for 2 weeks now.  Can someone help me out or at least point me

Hello, I'm developing a solution on Unity, and I'm using a combo Ray Interactable + Grabbable to move 3D Objects, the GameObject has a Rigidbody attached too.But when I test, the movement seems off, my GameObject doesn't move along the Ray that I made, it moves, but not along correctly. (I can interact with my object, but the object moves very slowly in relation on Ray)Is there a proper configuration to do?

Im executing the StarterSample on Quest3 v76.1024. I just add a EditText widget into ui_example.xml as below.When I clicked the EditText, the virtual keyborad was not shown but sometime it was shown.Here is the log filter by keyword "keyboard": log <EditText android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center" android:text="This is EditText" android:textSize="20dp" android:textColor="@color/design_default_color_error" /><!--Button--><Button android:id="@+id/ok_button" android:layout_height="36dp" android:layout_width="120dp" android:layout_gravity="center" android:text="Ok" android:background="@drawable/button_bg" android:textColor="#ffffff"/>

We've purchased a bunch of new Meta Quest Pros for our university XR lab.  We cannot connect them to the university's WiFi network at all -- cannot get through the initial device setup.  In the WiFi settings, the Quest Pro does not seem to retain the CA Certificate selection [Use system certificates] nor the Domain name.  It indicates that it has saved the network settings, but fails to connect.  When I go back to the settings, all of the other settings appear to be retained: EAP method [PEAP], Phase 2 authentication [MSCHAPV2], Identity [correct], Anonymous identity [blank], Password [(unchanged) -- I can only guess whether it has been retained; I have retyped it many times].  But the CA certificate reverts to [Please select] and after selecting [Use system certificates] the Domain has reverted to [blank] again. These things are bricks if we can't get past this.We have many other WiFi devices running on our network -- notebook computers, phones, ...  it is

As said, air link randomly stopped working. It started by having the button unavailable one day. I restarted my quest and pc, same thing. I unpaired and tried pairing again, when I hit pair I don't get a code. It detects it fine, paired to my phone fine, but refuses to work with air link to give a code. I tried turning off my firewall, factory reset, deleting the pc oculus app, and several other things, but nothing works.    Edit: For anyone unable to get a pairing code like this or to connect (not detect, still detects pc) this solves it. Its hard to find this solution online

Hello everyone..Wanted to know if anyone knows the reason for entering worlds with headsetsand seeing triangles with exclamation marks as well as falling through worlds? @members

Hi Creators,I've been custom UI tutorials by "Mobile Worlds Crash Course with Laex05" and it's been awesome!! I can display custom uis. However, I want to see if the custom UIs will display differently for each player.  How do I test multiplayer either in Desktop, headset and mobile by myself? Is it possible? Or is the only to test multiplayer is to actually get someone else to test with me?Thanks!

I am learning the desktop editor.I am trying to make some more intuitive driving/flying controls then is currently being shown in "Driving Simulator", and trying to see if there is better support with the Desktop Editor. I have added a Seat AvatarPose to get the character to sit, however any inputs from the left axis control moves the player out of that pose. Is it possible to disable or better yet reassign the controls to move the asset while the character is sitting?Without having to grab an item or override?I am using a trigger gizmo at the moment on the AvatarPose. The only hints online show that I have to grab an item to override buttons, but that doesnt override the Left Axis and also grabbing something to control it is very unintuitive for the user as evidenced by interacting with a number of Worlds.

In our UE4 game (running on a custom 4.24 Oculus version of the engine), upgrading to v35 of the system software causes one of the eyes to not render.  Nothing changed before going to v35.  Has anyone else seen this?

Took a while to find that this can be fixed from changing Motion to Animated from None(LLMs cannot figure that one outCan that be done in ts or is it DE only?

I know that Meta has shown off some MR demos in Horizon Worlds. Is there a plan to open this up and provide tools to developers to create such experiences?

Sorry, first time building in MH. I've been trying to integrate an explosion from the public assets library (one of those PopcornFX asset types), but I haven't found out a way to start and stop playback of the particle effect from code.Casting to a ParticleGizmo obviously doesn't work, and the play() method doesn't resolve. I'm assuming under-the-hood it's an external Unity asset using a sprite sheet. I haven't found any documentation on this. How do I sent playback events to it?Thanks a lot!!

Can anyone let me know if you have had to return your Brand New Meta Quest 3 Headset to Meta because it just stopped working for no reason?  I am literally now on my 4th headset replacement (all refurbished replacements) in 4 months of buying my original!  The last replacement lasted for exactly 4 days before it stopped working.  4 days of use and now it has to be returned again.  I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing this or is it something that is happening to others?

Hi guys I am here as desperate because my Meta Quest 3 started to give me this problem as per the title, I will tell you the story in more detail:I got the Meta Quest 3 new months ago and it has always worked perfectly, the other day I used it in PCVR with the cable as always and without any problems, before I turned it off I saw that out of nowhere a new item "Allow automatic power on when updating" had appeared under the item "Automatically update before power off", I didn't give it too much importance and unchecked as always and turned it off; I then put down the headset as usual which hasn't received a beating or anything these days, today I turned it back on and basically when I go into the home if I move my head above the view goes below and if I move my head below the view goes above (basically the head tracking doesn't work), the controllers are not recognized at all (but they flash and every 20 seconds they vibrate) and after a while the headset brings me back to a black scree

I've been trying to upload a final AAB file, built in Unity, for review for production.  I've tried using the "Meta Quest Developer Hub", then I tried the command line tool "ovr-platform-util".  In both cases, when attempting the upload there is a repeating "server error", and an eventual final error before the upload aborts.Focusing on "ovr-platform-util", the console output repeats ""A server error occurred. The request will be retried.", starting every few seconds, then slowing down over time.  After this error is repeated 10 times, there is a final error of "ERROR: An unexpected error occurred" before the terminal command aborts. The error suggests an issue on the meta server, but it's been doing this since yesterday morning, and it is now the afternoon, which seems like a long time for a server-side issue to remain unresolved.FYI, the terminal command I ran, which produced this error, is below (with the app-secret redacted).  I recognize that I'm listing the AAB

Since this morning, I’ve been getting the following issue: "Something went wrong, please restart the application or try again"I can't open, edit, or publish my worlds.I posted about it on Discord but haven’t gotten any replies, so I’m hoping someone here can help. We’re just hours away from the end of the competition, and I can’t leave my game in the state it should be in.The issue happened after exiting the editing mode of a world.I’m leaving a video so you can see — honestly, it’s really frustrating as a creator to have this happen on the last day of the competition with things still left to finish.

I have a world where the sightline is quite far. Players are able to see a black lined square at the bottom edge of the world. See screenshot. I've tried turning off `Environment > Show Grid` already but that doesn't help since this isn't a grid. This is something else. How do I turn this square off? It's really jarring and doesn't fit within the world I'm building at all.

Best way to report documentation errors?for example PropsDefiniition is now PropsFromDefinitions etc in https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/desktop-editor/npcs/navigation-mesh-generation and others

How to upload a transparent texture and have it display on a plane with transparency?
