Solved

I'm using UE 4.26, and following the documentation here: https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/ps-leaderboards/I set up the leaderboard on the app:This is how I write to the leaderboard in BP:This is how I read from the leaderboard in BP:In game I see "Score Leaderboard Write Result: Success", so it seems the "Write Leaderboard Integer" node is returning success. And if I stay in the game it seems to work as intended, it reads and displays that score. However, if I exit the game and restart it, it fails to find the score and shows 99999. If I go to my app dashboard and view entries for the leaderboard, it's empty:How can I get the leaderboard working, and for scores to actually write to the leaderboard and persist outside of a single game run? I've tried on the alpha and release channels, but nothing seems to work. Please help.

Hello there,I need to develop an app for the oculus go with unity and its been going pretty badly so far.All the guides I've been through have been using the older versions of the oculus integration package from the unity store or the XR plugin.the problem is that when i use any it prevents the project from working when launching on the oculus go:importing the oculus integration to the project just makes the screen go black and the app unresponsive.using the XR plugin shows me a window saying the oculus go needs an update and quits the app.so my question is - is developing for the oculus go with unity in 2022 using any of the current tools still possible without massive incompatibility issues?I would be very grateful for any help anyone can provide, I have tried many different settings variations and unity versions but nothing worked out so far, this has been driving me crazy for a few days now.

I'm encountering an issue where objects seem to jitter / flicker when I move. It's kind of like double vision. Or you could describe it as blurry edges. After googling I discovered that this is called judder. It happens more noticeably when I have a heavier scene. But it does happen a bit in light scenes as well. I did not notice a correlation with the performance metrics I'm tracking (FPS, stale frames, GPU usage, CPU usage). I did not quite understand the previous discussion I read on the topic. I'm a novice VR developer. I'd appreciate some guidance on ways to identify the causes and mitigations for this issue. I'm developing for PCVR using the Oculus Quest 2 headset. (I posted this on other forums, I'll post back any solutions that I get)

Hello,I am trying to implement OpenXR support in a VR mod for an old game (X-Wing Alliance). When I do the first call to xrEnumerateInstanceExtensionProperties(), it never returns.Oculus loader indicates that the runtime was loaded correctly, but never completes the "trampoline" like it usually does.Verbose [GENERAL | xrEnumerateInstanceExtensionProperties | OpenXR-Loader] : Entering loader trampolineWarning [GENERAL | | OpenXR-Loader] : ReadLayerDataFilesInRegistry - failed to read registry location \ApiLayers\Implicit in either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USERInfo [GENERAL | | OpenXR-Loader] : RuntimeManifestFile::FindManifestFiles - using environment variable override runtime file F:\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_32.jsonInfo [GENERAL | | OpenXR-Loader] : RuntimeManifestFile::CreateIfValid - attempting to load F:\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_32.jsonInfo [GENERAL | xrEnumerateInstanceExtensionProperties | OpenXR-Loader] : RuntimeInterface::Lo

Hi Meta, I reported this issue on Github but would like to repeat it here for visibility.https://github.com/BattleAxeVR/OpenXR-SDK-Source/issues/3xrLocateBodyJointsFB returns a runtime error over Link (on all three Quests, 1, 2 and Pro, which I own).It would be great if this extension would work on PC as I intend to use it in my game, if you'll allow it. PLEASE FIX. FBT on Quest 2 / PC is a game changer for barrier to entry and getting elbow and waist joint poses, especially would be very helpful, even if they are estimated. Also it'd be great if these features weren't restricted to "dev mode" only. I don't understand why PC VR gamers have to jump through hoops to use the hardware they paid good money for. Please, as a longtime Oculus dev who's worked on many titles, from large to small, this kind of thing is really a problem.

I am working with the Meta Avatars SDK and can't find any way to detect if a user doesn't already have a Meta Avatar, and as part of this I can't find a way to detect if the user has simply been assigned a default avatar.I have the ability to let the user open the customise avatar menu via a deeplink call, but no way to detect if I should tell the user to create an avatar first time if they don't have one?

Hi, I have been creating an application for the Windows platform through Unity. I have the latest version of the Oculus SDK for Unity. When I run the build (exe file), I am able to connect the HMD to the application and the scene is visible through it. However, when I run the same build in another PC, it doesn't work. The HMD and the Oculus app don't detect it. I have tried the same in systems, which have Unity Editors and also in those that don't, but with the same result. I also tried to print some OVR plugin property and that prints fine. In summary, the build works fine in my PC but not in any other. Am I missing something in the build process? Unity version: 2021.3.13f1Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I can't find OVRPlugin when I use bachmode to build my project, but it works great without bachmode.I found that there is an error in the building process. Does anyone has a solution to it? I use Oculus Integration SDK v44 and Unity 2021.3.10f1Here is the log, thanks in advance ```NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object  at OVRDeviceSelector.get_isTargetDeviceQuest () [0x0000d] in D:\Oculus\VR\Editor\OVRDeviceSelector.cs:45  at OVRDeviceSelector.get_isTargetDeviceQuestFamily () [0x00000] in D:\Oculus\VR\Editor\OVRDeviceSelector.cs:35  at OVRGradleGeneration.OnPostGenerateGradleAndroidProject (System.String path) [0x00010] in D:\Oculus\VR\Editor\OVRGradleGeneration.cs:215  at UnityEditor.Android.AndroidBuildPipelineInterfaces.OnGeneratePlatformProjectPostprocess (System.String path, System.Boolean strict) [0x00026] in <99feab6f3db6407493924fe4a179a95b>:0```

Hi!I'm running the latest firmware on the Quest Pro and the latest Oculus integration in Unity, but if I call OVRPlugin.GetSystemHeadsetType from within the APK, the Quest Pro claims to be a Quest 2.  If I run it over Link it correctly returns Meta_Link_Quest_Pro. I'm assuming this is for backwards compatibility so that apps running on the Pro will inherit the additional graphics and features gated behind a check for Quest 2.  But I want to load additional, higher-detailed textures for the Pro-only, which won't fit in RAM on the Quest 2, so this isn't much help to me. I'm currently experimenting with seeing if I can successfully allocate more than 6 GB of RAM as a sort of badly duct-taped together cheat for sussing out whether I'm on a Quest 2 or a Quest Pro, but I'd far rather do it properly.  Is there some toggle I need to set to say "yes, I know the Pro exists and you don't have to lie to me about being a Quest 2"?

I'm able to create and re-load spatial anchors, but when I reload the unbound anchors I'm unclear on where to get the OVRSpatialAnchor from. The docs say to bind to an OVRSpatialAnchor after Localized. In the sample it looks like this: var spatialAnchor = Instantiate(_anchorPrefab, unboundAnchor.Pose.position, unboundAnchor.Pose.rotation); I'm unclear on where the _anchorPrefab is coming from though as that is also an OVRSpatialAnchor. Is there a way to do this that doesn't use a prefab? When I create my original game object and anchor I'm doing it this way: var gameObject =GameObject.Instantiate(Resources.Load<GameObject(gameObjectPath),worldObjectPose.position,worldObjectPose.orientation);var ovrSpatialAnchor = gameObject.AddComponent<OVRSpatialAnchor>();

I have some testers that when they change to a secondary account on their Oculus Quest 2, Developer Mode becomes disabled and have to use Oculus phone app to re-enable.  Looking for a solution or fix that does not require Developer Mode to be re-enabled every time their spouse or kids use the Oculus.

I want to connect my Oculus rift S to the Unreal Engine.I don't know how to connect this. When I open Unreal, it is not in the list of devices.I can't see my devive in the Oculus Developer Hub too.I don't know where the developer mode can be changed either.Plz anyone help with this

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if the NVIDIA RTX A4500 GPU model is compatible with oculus link? In the official Meta compatibility list it does not appear as "compatible" and it does not appear as "not compatible" either. Has anyone tested this GPU or know if it's really compatible or not? Thanks in advance.Laura

Hi everyone I would like to implement "Login with Facebook" in my VR application but I can't find anything here or on Facebook developer and google.any advice ?

Hi, my name is Ariel. I have been having issues trying to contact the Oculus Support Team. I have created two tickets in which they both got a response saying they were assigned to Oculus Submissions Team. It's been 2 months already and I haven’t received a response back. If anyone has some advice that would be great - I am still not sure if it’s an issue on my end. I appreciate the help!

I know some people created this before. But my case is different. I tried all the solution that I can find on the forums. I tried to change the registry, but somehow OpenXR folder is not there. I can see only "Vulkan" in the "Khronos" folder (In both SOFTWARE and WOW6432Node) How do I fix this? I cannot preview my work in Unreal because it is not set to default OpenXR.Please help me MetaStoreHelp  It looks like this at the moment

Hi everyone. I'm finally at my wits end on this one. I've been able to successfully upload my apk to the ALPHA Release Channel, but the "Test Status" always says "Failed". Hello, I'm trying to install the Oculus integration plugin to the official release of Unreal Engine 5.0.3 downloaded from the Epic Games Store, but whenever I copy this plugin into the Plugins folder of either the Project or the UE5 installation folder I get the following error:"Plugin 'OculusXR' failed to load because module 'OculusXRHMD' could not be loaded. There may be an operating system error or the module may not be properly set up."What causes this error? Is there a way to fix this error?

Hello! I am attempting to implement the OpenXR extension XR_FB_spatial_entity (https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/android/openxr-lsa-persist-content/). I am starting by implementing the function xrCreateSpatialAnchorFB. However, when I call this function during runtime, I get the return code "XR_ERROR_VALIDATION_FAILURE". Is there any way to get more information about what is causing this validation error? I am writing my code in C# (using the StereoKit library). My call to the function looks something like: public bool CreateAnchor() { Log.Info("Begin CreateAnchor"); var anchorCreateInfo = new XrSpatialAnchorCreateInfoFB(); anchorCreateInfo.next = IntPtr.Zero; anchorCreateInfo.space = Backend.OpenXR.Space; anchorCreateInfo.poseInSpace.orientation.w = 1; anchorCreateInfo.time = Backend.OpenXR.Time; XrResult result = xrCreateSpatialAnchorFB( Backend.OpenXR.Session, anchorCreateInfo, out XrAsyncRe

Hi, I am a developer using OpenXR.Whenever I try to open an APK I built in Unity, I get a loading bar with 3 dots and it still goes back to oculus home after trying several times, clearing the cache and eventually factory resetting the headset. The initial version of the apk is currently uploaded to the applab and works fine on other devices not updated to v44.

Noticing when finishing up our last levels that the builds no longer work after loading onto Quest. Seems to be a threshold after 2GB, but I see so many games above 2GB in the store. Curious how we can test our full game builds and package this correctly to be able to work on the quest 2 headset, our game will be around 2..8GB at the finish. Thank you in advancebest,Phil

How can I change the color of the cubes in hello_xr from Android Studio?I have very little experience with Android Studio, but I can run hello_xr on on my Quest 2 and I understand OpenGL C++. I tried looking at some of the .c and .cpp files, but Android Studio tells me "This file does not belong to any project target; code insight features might not work properly."
