The hand-tracking mod2 has been release for application, but currently hand-tracking WebXR api can not be used in the browser on Quest2 (as far as I can tell).  Is there any chance this will change any time soon?  Even better, am I wrong and it can in-fact work.

I am using Unity 2021.2.6f1 I have XR plugin and Oculus XR plugin installed. For the Oculus XR Plugin, I installed the 3.0 preview version. So in the settings of Oculus I get an option under experimental called:Application SpaceWrap(Vulkan) I checked this option, but nothing seem to change.I do use Vulkan for the build.I also have GLES3 marked as a secondary option, should I disable that? Is there anything else I need to do besides checking that option in the Oculus XR previe?

This is when directly accessing the OpenXR hand tracking EXT in StereoKit (not Unity). Quest 2 thumbs are about 90 degrees off from what I expect to see from the OpenXR spec! It appears as though the thumb is using +Y to face up from the back of the hand, rather than the top of the thumb. This is inconsistent from the spec, as well as from other runtimes. The OpenXR spec defines +Y like this: "The up (+Y) direction is pointing out of the back of and perpendicular to the corresponding finger nail at the fully opened hand pose." A little hard to understand without a visible hand here, but you can see +Y (green) coming out the side of the thumb here. This is running on Quest 2. Same scene running on a HoloLens 2, you can see here +Y (green) coming out the top of the thumb, not the side.

Hi,I tried to find the "more setting" option so i could turn on the "developer mode" option. But i don't have it.I am using Galaxy S9 plus as a mobile device.Oculus quest as VR device. And there is no such option as "more settings".Someone can help me figure it out? Thanks.

Hello, I'm noticing something strange recently where I have nearly 30% more lifetime unique users than I have copies sold, should I be worried? Anyone knows how this may be possible? I've given out keys before, but fewer than 10 and from my understanding that does not contribute to the "copies sold" numbers anyway, even with refunds taken into account, which are less than 3%, I'm struggling to understand where this number could come from. Any insights would be appreciated, thank you!

Hey all,I'm hoping to find a way to disable the account sign in on a quest 2 while developing on it.I am finding it quite tedious to hit the sign in each time I put the headset on to test something fresh while developing. Is it possible to disable this via an ADB command or something?  Some way to bypass the sign-in when waking from sleep? If it's a security thing, I can understand that - but perhaps maybe allow this while it's connected via USB in developer mode or something, this would be super helpful.

I'm looking for a simple way to change the current grabbing pose of a HandGrabInteractor as it's being held (for example in response to a button press or change in the object etc). I have a dirty way of setting it using reflection but it always realigns the hand to the wrong position. Is there a correct / easier way to do this?

Setting OVRManager.suggestedCpuPerfLevel and OVRManager.suggestedGpuPerfLevel to OVRManager.ProcessorPerformanceLevel.Boost has no effect on CPU and GPU levels when observed through the OVRMetrics tool. Both are locked to CPU = 1 and GPU = 1. How do give the app control over these levels to increase or decrease as required by the game?Using Unity 2019.3.34 and Oculus Integration 39.0.0.0 Thanks in advance

Hi everyone~  I am running into a privacy policy issue when we try to publish the app to the app lab.  We didn't collect any user data in any form for our app, so we show that on our privacy policy page. But still, we receive feedback from the review team indicating we have some issues with our privacy policy.  Here are 2 feedback from oculus team: I have 2 questions:1I have an assumption of the issue, which is our client wants to show, that in the future version, we will collect user data, but in the current version, we don't. Is this causing the misunderstanding?   2If we show that we didn't collect any user data, do we still have to have a clear explanation of how the user may request all their data?  If anyone has any idea or experience, please leave your thought, thank you so much.

I have a very frustrating problem. I have been using a Link cable and sometimes Airlink with my Quest 2 for months. Recently, the controllers (which work fine normally when playing Quest games) have developed a strange quirk when playing PC games. I can no longer extend my index fingers or thumbs. I can grip but when I lift my real index fingers and/or thumbs, the virtual ones don't extend. This happens with Link cable and Air Link, so it's not the cable. I have tested this with two Quest 2 headsets (with two sets of controllers), on Link cable (with two separate cables) and with Air Link. Mine aren't working in the Oculus Home environment. Perhaps it has something to do with a recent update but then I would expect more people to be reporting this issue but others, including Nera123, Sotalo and Arkiefox, have also reported this problem recently in this forum. My Oculus app (on PC): Oculus app version 40.0.0.105.333 (40.0.0.105.333) I recently bought Lone Echo II. One of the first thing

Hi, We are prepping our first VR-film for release in the Oculus Store (App Lab and Rift), but we still have the film circulating on festivals and that raises concerns of releasing it world-wide in the store. Coming from the film industry I'm quite used to geo-blocking and selling rights for different countries or territories (several countries bundled together, a contintent or similar). I've not found any useful information if this is possible to do in the Oculus Store, so I thought perhaps some of you who have shipped a VR-application knows if this is possible? If someone at Oculus support/store sees this, I'd really like some information about this. Happy developing everyone!

Hello, After a while of not building my game for Quest 2 Standalone, I am back to get that version ready. I managed to compile the code and to package without failing. But when the game launches to the Quest 2, the game instantly crashes back to the main hub. This is the error I get on the Output Log, which is not much to know what is going on, or who is the culprit.  LogPlayLevel: 05-18 09:34:57.699 5979 6009 D UE4 : [2022.05.18-14.34.57:699][ 0]LogInit: Texture streaming: Enabled LogPlayLevel: 05-18 09:34:58.237 5979 6114 D UE4 : [2022.05.18-14.34.58:237][ 0]LogTcpMessaging: Started Connection to '127.0.0.1:56709' LogPlayLevel: 05-18 09:34:58.237 5979 6114 D UE4 : [2022.05.18-14.34.58:237][ 0]LogTcpMessaging: Discovered node '3D9595EF4C50F82740AFF3AED2CEE6B5' on connection '127.0.0.1:56709'... Hey! From the documentation:"In the Anti Aliasing list, select 4x. Unlike non-VR apps, VR apps must set the multisample anti-aliasing (MSAA) level appropriately high to compensate for stereo rendering, which reduces the effective horizontal resolution by 50%." I was reading through the documentation for the Quality settings to learn how to properly set up a Unity project but with MSAA 4x the fps drops significantly in my test project (before any optimization). Do I understand correctly that we have to enable it and best to 4x? Is it a requirement to publish a game to the Oculus store?  Thanks!-Peter

I'm trying to update my project to use the new meta avatars 9.0, but we need to keep the OVRCameraRig. When the avatar appears the head tracking works, but the wrists only move if you use hand tracking and not controller tracking. I'm using the AvatarSdkManagerHorizon prefab.

Hi, Is it possible to detect when earphones are plugged in to quest 2? does this raise an event or in any case, is there a method that I can use to detect the presence of earphones? Thanks

I integrated the Firebase Unity SDK v8.7.0 for Firebase Storage and confirmed it works, but after setting it up per their documentation (https://firebase.google.com/docs/storage/unity/start) I got a security vulnerability failure, "GCP API Keys Exposed in App":  This appears to be due to the 'google-services.json' file that Firebase provides when you set up your project. Firebase asks you to put this file anywhere in your unity project. This file does contain an API key. But according to Firebase, it is "used when calling certain APIs that don't need to access private user data" and Firebase requires this key to work. See here: https://firebase.google.com/docs/projects/learn-more#config-files-objectsHow can this issue be fixed so that my app passes the security vulnerability test?

Hello, I'm using the OVRInputModule eventsystem to have controller interaction with some UI elements. When the Quest 2 is stationary everything works fine. When I move my Quest 2 around it stops getting hits with my UI elements (It also happens with none UI elements) and it never works again until I restart the game. The same behavior happens when building and running the game directly on the Quest 2.I was using the Oculus Integration v37 and update to v39 didn't fix it.I don't do anything special when moving the headset so it seems to me that it's a bug with the OVRInputModule. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hello. I'm trying to connect Oculus Quest 2  to Unreal Engine. The glass is connected and active but I still the VR Preview button is greyed out. Do you have any idea how I can fix it? Thank you.

I've updated to the latest OVR Plugin, can't see anything new. Some of my apps heavily relies on quick handtracking and could really benefit from it. Also, is there a link for direct contact form for development support? Can't seem to find it either. So - how to enable handtracking 2.0 on Unity? Many thanks!

After the 39 update, when my Quest 2 is powered on, it shows three dots on the screen. Those three dots start to fade and are only slightly visible. Then, you can hear the sound of the home environment, and I can use the controllers to make the blip teleport noises. However, there is nothing on the screen except for three faded loading dots.  I then press the power button to put the device in sleep mode. Press the button again to wake from sleep, and everything is fine. This started happening after the 39 update.

Hello, I am having a strange issue where the fixed foveated rendering level gets set to zero after the power button on the headset is pressed twice on the oculus quest, nothing I do after that changes the level. When the game is launched OVRManager.fixedFoveatedRenderingLevel = OVRManager.FixedFoveatedRenderingLevel.Medium; manages to set the level correctly, however after pressing the power button, the line does nothing. No error messages or anything of the sort either. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing this issue?

Hello.I am trying to drag an object on one of its own axes using the Oculus GrabBegin function. This works fine when the rotation of the object is zeroed. When the object is rotated the object is dragged on the world axis rather than local.I log the initial position and rotation when I grab the object and then apply those values to the axes I want locked every frame. I’ve tried using transformdirection, inversetransformdirection, and variations of the space conversion functions, tried normalizing the vector and nothing works. Is there an Oculus feature built in for this or is there another way to be able to drag this object along its own axis?Thank you.

Hi,We are working on a Quest 2 multiplayer PvP game and on app launch we check for entitlements. And once the user is entitled, we use the Oculus User Api `Users.GetLoggedInUserFriends()` to get the logged in player's friends and get the Oculus User data for each friend using `Users.Get(userId)`.Is there an event that we can subscribe to when any friend's online status changes i.e., online to offline (or) offline to online, so that we don't have to keep polling/requesting the Oculus User info for each friend using `User.Get(userId)` to know their current online status. Usecase: Player A has friend Player B and we get the user data of Player B at the start of the app which includes the online status. When Player B's online status changes (becomes online from offline or becomes offline from online), an event is fired and using that we want to update the online status for Player B in the UI. Is there an event like that? Thank you.

I'm trying to create a climbing game where you grab an object and when you move your hand the camera moves in the opposite direction (as though you were really climbing). The problem I'm facing though is that in the hierarchy for the OculusInteractionSampleRig, the hands are children of the OculusCameraRig so everytime the camera moves, it glitches out because the hands move as well. How would I code an ITransformer to achieve this climbing goal?

Hi everyone, recently i was developing a leaderboard in unreal connected to the oculus platform, but even after i submitted and got approved on the Data use checkup im not able to get user information to populate de leaderboard.im not the administrator on our oculus developer dashboard maybe it is that.Does anyone had a similar issue and know what might be going on?
