UPDATE (01/05/2023)As of January 5th users are being loaded via the Federated App Id but instead of missing their heads they now seem to be missing their hair. It would be funny if our product launch was not dependent on this getting fixed. UPDATE (01/03/2023)As of January 3rd Loading Avatars with Federated App Ids simply doesn't work. The User fails to load and I get the error log 'Spec Request Failed'. __________________________________We've been experiencing problems with the Meta Avatar 2 SDK in our desktop app. I've narrowed it down to a problem with the way avatars are loaded using the federated app id, or cross play as its called in the documentation. Here are the steps to reproduce:Create a blank Unity project which allows you to load an avatar with both your app's regular app Id and its Federated App Id. Load an avatar using the federated app id:Load you avatar with the Federated app id, it loads fine. Now, in your Quest, edit your avatar.I decided to add a red h

I've been troubleshooting this for a little bit, so I'm now trying the simplest build, and I still get wrong landscapes.I create a new 'VR Template' game. I'm set up for internal installation of Oculus. I'll share my settings below. I create a landscape with default settings, delete the floor, then I import a material from Quixel Bridge. I add it to the landscape through the details panel, then I ship the game. The first image is how it looks in engine, and how it looks if I ship for Windows and start in VR. The second image is what it looks like inside the Oculus headset. Does anyone know what I can do? I've explained everything I've done to the game, trying to eliminate any other variables except the landscape and the material. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi all, I’m new to VR and bought two oculus quest 2 headsets (one each for my wife and I). If we want to play the same games together, do I need to buy the same game twice, one for each headset?  I read online that there may be a way to log into the same account onto both headsets, and play the same game together such as table tennis (Eleven Table Tennis VR), but am hoping someone on this forum can help confirm or deny if this is possible?  Am hoping that we don’t need to buy the same games for each of us. If we do need to do so, that’d be a disappointment and I’ll likely return the 2nd headset. I haven’t opened up the 2nd headset yet, due to Best Buy’s return policy (can only accept returns on VR headsets if they are not opened).thanks for your time.

I added the MetaAvatars SDK to implement the MetaAvatars functionality for an already released AppID, and when I tried to connect to OvrPlatform, I got a "Failed to initialize OvrPlatform".I checked the error message and found it to be "NotEntitled". When I created a new AppID as a trial, the connection succeeded without problems, and I was able to display avatars created by the user. The "Data Use Checkup" setting itself is the same in both cases, so this does not seem to be the problem. Is there anything to keep in mind when adding a new connection to OvrPlatform to an existing released app? ErrorLog"""[ovrAvatar2 examplePlatformInit] Failed to initialize OvrPlatformUnityEngine.Debug:LogError (object,UnityEngine.Object)Oculus.Avatar2.OvrAvatarLog:Log (Oculus.Avatar2.OvrAvatarLog/ELogLevel,string,string,UnityEngine.Object) (at Assets/Oculus/Avatar2/Scripts/OvrAvatarLog.cs:106)Oculus.Avatar2.OvrAvatarLog:LogError (string, string,UnityEngine.Object) (at Assets/Oculus/Avatar

So my alpha channel build shows up on my quest 2 and is available for download, but every time I try downloading, the download goes up to 100%, waits a bit on installing then goes back to install/download now. I have previously tested alpha channel builds on the device without any issues. Is there perhaps, a limit on the number of applab alpha builds your are able to install on a device at any given time?

Hi guys,I was trying to install the PC App today. The installation worked quite fine. The moment when the VR says to establish the link in the VR and the rest have to be done on the Computer, my Oculus App starts. This is how it looks like: https://imgur.com/z4qgqiZI've updated the NVidia graphics driver and repaired the Oculus app. What else can I do? My firewall is off and there is no Virus Defender installed, the active Virus control from Windows is off.ThanksEDIT: Reddit Thread with official oculus support statement: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/mdhl4q/grey_screen_indefinitely_during_software_setup/EDIT2: Use Oculus Tray Tool to restart or kill the service, works fine for me, while troubleshooting back and forth.Download Link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/5okoju/oculus_tray_tool/EDIT 3: I have added another mirror for Support.rar, Oculus Tray Tool and USB Deview: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1IPoyK8G2Nm_9o5hc2Ez91Us1WPtt0GAz?usp=sharing

Hello everyone!I'm with a problem related to accesing Oculus account information and using it in my game. The problem is that when I try to get the user info, they all return empty and this happens to all of the users, even if I’m using an app Apk intalled on Oculus, or downloading the game from the store in Beta release channel. The only way I was able to make it work was with a test user, but I would like to try with my own account.Notes:I’ve done the Entitlement Check and it’s passing successfullyI’ve already requested the features on the Data Use Checkup in the dashboard (User ID and User Profile) and they are approvedAs mentioned, I’ve created a Test User and it’s inheriting my organization entitlements and, for some reason, only this user works.I’m not sure what the problem is, the code seems ok (since the test user works), but I don’t know how to make it work with other users (such as other developers in my organization). Any toughts? Here is some of my codeIn the image abo

Hi there! When I open Oculus Developer Hub, it ask me to login with a Facebook or an Oculus account. I select "Continue with Facebook", it opens a new browser window where I'm asked if I want to continue with my Facebook account.I click "Continue as <name>", then it redirects to an error page:Any idea of what is wrong? Thanks!

Hi,I have downloaded the MetaXR plugin from this link https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/unreal-engine-5-integration/46.0/ and added it to a new unreal engine 5.0.3 project.I created the project based on Unreal Engine's VR Template, and I did nothing in my project except put the OculusIntegration_v46 in my UE5 plugins file, enabled the MetaXR in the project and restart the editor. Thanks in advance,Terry

Hello everyone in this past week there has been 2 updates for gorillatag, i thought it was weird but now im freaking out ive asked around if anyone else has 3 new maps, new accessories, new clothes, giant rocket near the markets and giant Christmas tree in mountains. Why is there me and 1 other that is getting more then most people on gorilla tag.

I've just updated the unity integration package v35 and decided to try out the new feature - spatial anchor. However, the Spatial Anchors Sample App doesn't seem to work. When in "Create mode" and pressing "A", nothing happens! There's also a script missing on the Canvas GO (CameraRig/RHandAnchor/rControllerAnchor/Menu Object/Canvas).

OVRAnchor.Save() always returns false, indicating failure.I'm using the SpatialAnchor example scene from the Oculus Integrations package.Passthrough is working, and anchor creation is working.-Unity 2022.1.16-Oculus Integrations v43-Oculus Quest 2 (dev mode enabled, experimental mode enabled)-il2cpp, ARM64In the log, there's an AnchorPersistenceIpcRuntimeServer error saying my package is not trusted and the save was aborted.---------Update: SOLVED!I had to connect the device to wifi. After which I was prompted to do all this Meta account setup. (Note that it's not a new device, but I guess Meta rolled out some account updates)

I want to make anchors on Meta Quest Pro and share same anchors with other meta quest pro devices!ASA is not available for meta quest pro..

Hi, just started very basic scene (URP) - Oculus Integration - (v47?).Created the ground, directional light with shadows then OVRPlayerController/OVRCameraRig with OVRControllerPrefabs - left and right.I see the shadows of the controllers on the ground but no controllers showing.Tried them on HandAnchor and ControllerAnchor - also tried the OVRHandPrefabs - nothing.Any ideas?

Hi! 👋I have a Unity VR application added to a Windows PC's Oculus application displaying on a Meta Quest 2 headset via Quest Link cable. The Unity application runs all day in a Museum exhibition environment and shuts down overnight. To enable Quest Link in the PC Oculus application you manually select:Device → Device setup → Select a Connection Method (Link Cable)To enable Quest Link on the Quest 2 headset you manually select:Quick Settings → Quest Link → (select PC) → LaunchWhenever you restart the PC or the Quest 2 headset, both PC and headset require you to go through their menus again to enable the Quest Link connection. Even if you leave the headset on standby you need to do the PC setup again. After a PC or headset restart, is it possible to automate the enabling of the Quest Link connection on both the headset and PC without having to manually go through their setup menus every time?I reached out to Oculus support who pointed me to Meta Quest Developer Hu

I see that Roles have been migrated in some fashion as of Sep 30. Around this time all apps have disappeared from App Distribution in the Developer Hub for all members. Even Administrators cannot view or install apps in App Distribution. The app is no longer available on any member's headset that was accessed through Release Channels.  Looking into our roles, Developers and Administrators have permission for View App and View Release Channels. App Constraints are set to "All (present and future)". What other settings are relevant? It seems like a bug with our org. Please advise. This is severely blocking the entire org.

I received a message from Meta: "In order to continue offering a safe and secure platform, we require all developers to maintain a publicly available privacy policy that clearly articulates your collection, use, and processing of user data and to provide a functioning link to that privacy policy that users can access. We have determined that your application, Biganto Tour Player, for Oculus Quest does not comply with our privacy policy requirements for the following reason(s):We failed to access your Privacy Policy URL with the HTTP status code 500.If the required changes are not made, your application will be removed from the Oculus Store or App Lab on the specified date and will not be accessible to new users."You can check:https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/6563777177027712/The privacy policy works. Oculus support is not responding.

Hey is there anyway to change the gender of your oculus home avatar person as my partner was messing around on my vr before i had a chance to set up my profile and made it a female and now i cannot find a way to change it to male

I am using Unreal Engine 4.25.4 and am trying to submit my build to the Oculus Developer portal for Abb Lab.When I try to upload a build, it tells me "The focus aware manifest meta-data tag must be set with required=“true”…and points me to here:developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/unreal-dash-overlays-focus/#focus-aware There, it says to ’ Edit > Project Settings > Plugins > Oculus VR > Mobile , and check Focus Aware’…but in my Project Settings and plugins, Oculus VR doesn’t show up, even though I have the Oculus VR plugin enabled. So, how can I set the project to input-focus aware with 4.25.4 ? I looked at 4.26 and don't see the above option show up there either.

I start this with the full knowledge that the loose nut behind the wheel could be me. I had passthrough working, both my stuff and the Oculus demos. I could build and run or test stuff inside the Unity editor by hitting "Play". It was all working right up until I botched an install of 2021 and things stopped. I have since reinstalled (multiple times...) everything. The project I'm testing with is a floating cube in front of the OVRCameraRig. I've gone through all the settings/recommendations from previous community posts, specifically the guide from Anonymous and the youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u3QQi6Gnx0&ab_channel=ValemTutorials Running "adb devices" at the command line shows the device is authorized.Oculus Integration 34.0Oculus Quest version 35.0.0.117.341.<other numbers>Oculus Quest runtime version 35.0.0.118.341.<other numbers> I can build and run apps with passthrough, I just can't get them to appear in the

Hey guys, for you that are using XR Interaction Toolkit. For the XR Grab Interactable, is there anyway to only make it grab-able using only specific hand? If yes, how do you do it?

I am building a VR installation that demands full body tracking. Currently it's built with Unreal Engine and uses Vive Trackers and an IK system for the MOCAP. However, I'm hoping to incorporate face and hand tracking from the Quest Pro, in combination with the full body tracking, for even more immersion. This raises a lot of technical issues and I was wondering if someone here could shed some light...1. Is it possible for Oculus runtime to access Vive trackers? Or is this strictly SteamVR? And if it is SteamVR, is it possible to have two runtimes communicating with each other or is this impossible?2. So if the Vive trackers are impossible... What full body solutions exist for Oculus runtime? Is it possible to use something like SlimeVR (I read that this was also SteamVR). Would a MOCAP suit, like Perception Neuron, work? Is there another solution I'm missing? In short... How the heck do you get a full body capture, including hand and face, on the Quest?

I'm having trouble inserting models into home. The error is not in the model, because I have already inserted it into home. It gives me the error "check the model for GLTF validation errors and try again later". I get the same error when inserting the template home. Does anyone know if there's a validation failure?

I have just recently purchased a new meta quest 2 256GB headset, and one of the things I wanted to do with it is to try my hand at developing software for it. But, I have a computer that is a bit older, although I feel it should be perfectly capable. I've done cad work on it with no problems. It is an HP 8300 Tower Computer, Quad Core i7 3770 upto 3.9GHz, 16GB Ram, 250GB SSD + 2TB HDD, 2GB GeForce GT710 4K Video Card. Been a little frustrated trying to get a development environment setup. No problems installing Unreal Engine 5, although it did complain a little about possible errors with my graphics card. It suggested that I update my driver, but the newer drivers do not support the GT710 card any more. Anyway, found out I need a link cable to hook up the headset to the PC, and I did go ahead and order one, even though the docs state that my card is not compatible. BUT, it also seems to infer that just because it's incompatible, it could still work? I guess I'll find out when I get it.

So most threads on this topic are talking about excessive permissions, however I actually need to use the microphone permission. How could I submit my app with microphone permissions, without getting this error?
