Hello!  My VR app, which I have built exactly according to the instructions here - https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-enable-device/  no longer supports the built-in head tracking from Oculus Integration. That is - the app builds and runs on my Oculus Quest 1, but the 3D image simply follows my gaze and does not let my eyes consider the image from a new angle as I move my head.... Head tracking worked as expected two days ago, when I built the app for the first time. It is possible that I took some steps to mess with underlying mechanics of Oculus Integration or global unity player settings when I tried to make the app also run natively on my Mac OS (for ease of development). Now - even if I rebuild the app from scratch it no longer supports head tracking, suggesting that I messed with:- an Oculus setting- an adb bridge setting- a global unity player settingOther applications on my Oculus still support functioning head tracking. Please h

Does anyone have any experience with Oculus platform S2S integration, specifically with GetUserProof. I've got everything setup and seemingly working. My question is I've only got this deployed to the alpha release channel, should this channel come back with an is_valid:true response or is the platform sdk limited to certain release channels? I'm thinking I'm might have to get in contact with someone at oculus/meta to trouble shoot. My POST looks to be valid I do get an is_valid:false response. But I'm using that response as validation for issuing an oauth token, so it needs to pass. This part of development has been daunting with the current documentation to try and figure out, feel like I'm very close, please help!

I have the Meta Avatars working in a networked app on the Oculus Quest.  Now I want to get the raw bytes of the Avatar data retrieved from the CDN so I can send them to a room server that can send this data out to users on other platforms so that they won't have to contact the CDN.  Is this even possible??I've been looking at the OvrAvatarEntity classes to see if there is anyway to dump the avatar data. But I only see plenty of ways to load raw data into an avatar.Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi everyone, I recently had this issue when helping out someone with casting from the Meta Quest 2 headset to the mobile app on an Android tablet. We updated the Meta Quest Application on the tablet to the latest software, and I assume the headset is as well.  Both the admin account on the headset and the account on the mobile application are the same, and the headset is detected in the mobile app.  Through the headset, we click on Sharing -> Cast -> Oculus App and the prompt to cast shows up on the tablet.   However, after pressing "Start Casting," the mobile app goes into the casting window for a split second then goes back to the Quest App home page which fails the cast.  We made sure that the headset and mobile app were running on the same Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth should have been enabled on both devices. I'm wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue.  Thank you in advance

Im using the hand grab pose recorder to grab some objects and I want to use just 1 pose to grab an object around his pivot. I try the Cylinder surface script (like the mug in the hand tracking example scene) but it always grab the object on the same side. When i grab the mug i can see the hand grabbing it in different rotations (grabbing it from the top of the mug) but when I do this with my table (the object Im using) this "rotation" doesnt seems to occur. What am I doing wrong?

Hello. Is there any way to do text to speech in my Unity app for Quest 2 ?Couldn't find much on this topic. Thanks

Hi,I'm using the scripts from the Locomotion Sample Scene to teleport on nodes with both hands. This is the "Teleport Input Handler Touch" configuration in the scene. When I'm using the RightHand, everything works fine. But with the LeftHand, the ray become green, the "TeleportDestination" object appears on the targeted node, but when I release the Trigger, nothing happens. The problem is the "_teleportDestination.IsValidDestination" in the LocomotionTeleport.cs script line 566.For some reason it is set to false, but I can't figure out why and when.Excuse my english and thanks for the help.

I made an app on the oculus developer console (developer.oculus.com) and uploaded an apk (version 0.1) to two release channels: production (LIVE) and ALPHA. First, I could not upload an apk (version 0.2) from the "Upload" button on the oculus developer hub (odh). So, I tried it from "ovr-platform-util.exe" commant directly and successfully uploaded it and updated the app (v0.1 -> v0.2). But now, I cannot upload an apk (version 0.3) with no errors (see below).  PS C:\Users\Matsumura\VADAX\apk> ovr-platform-util upload-quest-build --app-id xxxxxxxxxxxxxx --app-secret yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy --apk zzzzzzzzzzzzzz_v0.3.apk --channel LIVE Logs are written to: C:\Users\MATSUM~1\AppData\Local\Temp\oc_cli_5237330736364627_2022-08-17T23-45-38-317Z.log ************************************************************************* * Your copy of Oculus Platform Command Line Utility is old. * * Version 1.76.0.000001 has been released on Wed Jul 13 2022. * * Please

Hi, we are developing a multiplayer game for Quest 2. Since yesterday morning 10.08.2022 when you create a session everything looks ok but when client tries to join it he gets "60s connection timeout" in logs and game restarts itself after those 60s. Its weird cause it looks like its something from OculusOnlineSubsystem outside our project because even game builds from a week ago that were able to connect to players seem to not work right now. Any idea what could happen?

Hello everyone, im trying to get Vulkan Subpasses for Tone Mapping to work on Quest 2 as described here:https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/unreal-tonemapping The article makes it look like it's as simple as setting "r.Mobile.TonemapSubpass=1" and then adjust in a Post-Process volume but for me nothing is happening in fact the console even shows "unknown command" when the above is executed. I did stumble across the "Rendering Techniques" sample that states that the patch in the subfolder needs to be applied to the unreal source code in order for LUTs to work.UnrealEngine/Samples/Oculus/RenderingTechniques at oculus-5.0 · Oculus-VR/UnrealEngine (github.com) Now this seems promising but comes with its own set of questions/problems. First of all the text indicates that it's only for LUTs and not other things like Color tint or vignettes so it might not be related to my problem and also the patch doesn't work completely for me some fixes went through

The latest problem is that the previous projects can normally connect VoIP and P2P. Since last Saturday, it can't be connected. The print shows that the connection request has been received ，Net.Connect(userID) and Voip.Accept(userID) has been called, but each time the status returns timeout。What the hell's going on? Has anyone met it

Hi, I'm not seeing the XR_FB_render_model instance extension in the list of supported extensions on Quest 2. XR_KHR_android_create_instance SpecVersion=3XR_KHR_android_surface_swapchain SpecVersion=4XR_KHR_android_thread_settings SpecVersion=5XR_FB_android_surface_swapchain_create SpecVersion=1XR_KHR_opengl_es_enable SpecVersion=8XR_KHR_vulkan_enable SpecVersion=8XR_KHR_vulkan_enable2 SpecVersion=2XR_KHR_composition_layer_cube SpecVersion=8XR_KHR_composition_layer_cylinder SpecVersion=4XR_KHR_composition_layer_equirect2 SpecVersion=1XR_KHR_composition_layer_color_scale_bias SpecVersion=5XR_KHR_composition_layer_depth SpecVersion=5XR_FB_color_space SpecVersion=2XR_EXT_performance_settings SpecVersion=3XR_EXT_hand_tracking SpecVersion=4XR_FB_display_refresh_rate SpecVersion=1XR_FB_swapchain_update_state SpecVersion=3XR_FB_swapchain_update_state_opengl_es SpecVersion=1XR_FB_swapchain_update_state_vulkan SpecVersion=1XR_FB_swapchain_update_state_android_surface SpecVersion=1XR_OC

Hello, I am using Unity 2020 and Oculus Unity Integration SDK 33. I cannot get the OVRPlayerController to move with the OVRCamera prefab. I would like to know if this is even  a possibility any more - the CharacterCameraConstraint script has been changed significantly. I have tried setting up the CharacterCameraConstraint, the SimpleCapsuleMovement, CapsuleCollider and RigidBody onto the OVRPlayerController and it still does not work. In the locomotion example scene the OVRPlayerController also does not follow the camera. I could not find any documentation for how room based locomotion is supposed to work. I know this worked fine with previous Oculus integrations. Has this feature been removed on purpose? If yes why? Kind regards,LordSlimeball

I just updated from v40 to v42 of the interaction SDK, and noticed that hover events no longer work as expected. Instead, when an object is grabbed, a hover event is triggered followed by a select event in the next frame. This prevents any custom hover logic in the interactable from actually working. Anybody else encounter this / have a fix?

Hello hive mind. I have the latest version of the Unity editor (2021.3.7f1) and also have the latest version of the Oculus Integration SDK from the asset store.I have created a simple scene with a flat terrain and three objects - nothing special.  Added the OVRPlayerController and built the app.  On running the app I am able to enter the scene and look around but am unable to move with the controller.  Any ideas what I have missed? Thanks in advance.

Quest 2 - Quest 2 online pool browse and online using BPs Ue4.26 doesn't work. I create session (host) open map listen and on the other headset can see the server and it says there is one player in that server. When I join the server it says its successful. However nothing happens, and the server browser now says the server has two players; but I never moved either way???? I never see the other player.https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-82549I even applied these fixes to the source and still doesn't work?I purchased a second Quest 2 to setup multiplayer only to find it doesn't even work I am using the Oculus source with everything setup correctly game passes all validations.I really need help with this I have done everything I can.Thank you.

Hi,We have now been rejected twice for the App Lab submission because out app doesn't support hand tracking. First time we got rejected because the tester turned on hand tracking but app didn't show hand mesh. We have applied a simple fix so app will show user's virtual hands when hand tracking is turned on (but not able to do anything because our app is really designed to function with Touch controllers only). Resubmitted and got rejected again citing "VRC.Quest.Functional.3" (details see below). What does it mean? What we don't understand is why hand tracking, being a so new feature just came out of beta, is forced on submitted apps when those apps aren't even designed to work with hands. The App Lab submission automatically fails if uploading an APK without the hand tracking permission in the manifest. So for our submission we had to add the hand tracking manifest and set it to "false". Can we simply do the following? If user enables hand tracking and launch our app, there

Hi,Is it possible to publish the app under a custom name, as it is possible in the Android play store, not revealing the developer's full name?

The description on how to use HandWristOffsetUndoWizard is really confusing. What object am I setting for Wrist offset? Has anyone had success in updating their HandGrabPose objects?

Hello everyone, I am having an issue where whenever I try to upload my APK it says build failed "spawn UNKNOWN" on an older version it said that the Oculus Platform Utility was out of date but when I tried updating it from command prompt it said it was up to date please help!

Hi, I was wondering what type of games can be put on APP LAND. I have created a game for the Rift which can be played on the quest via Link cable. Can my game be submitted to the quest platform(app land)?

When a customer buys our app on Meta Store, does Meta pay the VAT or do we?

The only log record that appears is[info][OculusDeveloperHub][2021-08-02T14:38:07.276Z] [[{"found":false,"key":"sandbox","path":"C:\\Users\\myusername\\AppData\\Roaming\\odh\\odh-config.json","type":"odh_read_config"}]] I checked the odh-config.json just out of curiosity and the file is empty. The system is Win 8.1

Uh oh. I've been using Air Link for a long time and connecting routinely several times a day without an issue. Yesterday I saw a notice about an update on the headset and coincidentally perhaps Air Link can no longer find my PC.  I've done all the "normal" things, rebooted, ran a fix the Oculus PC app. Yes everything is on the same network and again it has been working for I will guess a year. Now nothing. I can connect via the USB cable but that can become problematic while writing/debugging code as the headset isn't charging while in use and that affects development time. If I have to factory reset I will of course but I would hate to go thru that exercise if it turns out not to fix whatever the issue is. Has anyone experienced a similar issue in the last couple of days?
