in case you have a AI that has to factor in human stupidity, here is the logic for it. its written in a style i could word it in over about an hour and i decided to share it here. ///////////////// OR AND OROR switches polarity making something good = bad or bad = good, like NOTAND does not switch polarity for that which OR switches polarity, AND switches polarity for that which OR does not switch polarity.making evil remain evil and adding in good to stand beside evil.then OR switches AND good to false to fit in OR size, and then AND switches AND good good to true which cannot fit  in OR. so the AND has good and evil.to make this work for computer programming the logic for computer programming issize of memory is this variable name = some value of the type and size that fitsthe first value is OR, and AND fits into ORthe second value is AND, and AND fits into AND by including good.so the first AND has no good so it has one value this is why OR can hold AND.THEN AND

I was under the impression that test users are created at an organization level. However, it turns out that only the developer that created the test user can manage them via the 'Test User' tab in the Developer Dashboard. Other developers can't even see these test users (even if they have the admin role). According to the docs here, test users "Are visible to users with admin or developer roles in the Developer Dashboard" When clicking on 'Manage Friends' for a specific test user, I can see that there's an 'Owner' property. It's also worth noting, that I actually do have the option to add a test user created by someone else as a friend to one of my own test users. However, displaying a list of all test users in an organization is not possible. Only the test users that I created are visible in the 'Test Users' tab. I don't see why every developer with appropriate permissions shouldn't be able to do as the documentation suggests and display the list of all test users in an

Hey all, I am currently working on an application that uses the Passthrough API available for unity and everything has been honky dory. Until this morning. Knowing that I have to use powershell to get the API to work every time I turn on my Quest 2, I did that this morning and this time it did not seem to work. Thinking I botched something in my code I went back to older versions of my app and it STILL is not working. Did Oculus release a silent update for this? I noticed that it even gave me a popup in the headset for apps that are using the Passthrough API (something I do not remember noticing before). Please tell me I am missing something simple here because I really do not know where to go from here, my development is at a complete halt now.Thankful for any responses!

I want to open a window by grabbing it and pulling open up and down. How can I constrain the movement of the window using the Oculus's Unity package?

For whatever reason, I can no longer add members to my Organization.  When I attempt to do so, the 'Add' button is always greyed out but pressing enter allows the button to at least look like it's attempting to add a member, but then it never completes (it's just a spinning circle forever and doesn't seem to time out).  It also doesn't add any of the context feedback data it used to (like username not found or whatnot).  I'm not sure what caused this, but we'd like to add our new team members for obvious reasons.   Anyone have any information?  Thanks in advance.

I did a search and have not seen anyone else post about an issue I am having so allow me to share as I surely cannot be the only one. I am getting the follow error every time I build to the Quest in Unity 2021.2.1f1. It started when I added a splash screen image under the XR Plug-In Management settings for Oculus. To get around the issue, just follow the path where it is copying too and delete the vr_splash.png file before each build. Unsure why this is happening, but hoping it gets addressed soon. Will log it as a bug.

Hello Quest Devs, I am hoping someone here can shed some light on an issue that popped up in Unity 2021.1.24f1 after I upgraded to the latest Oculus Integration version 33.0.  When I build I get the following 2 errors that I was not getting just prior to the 33.0 update.  Any ideas?  The "package.xml" file referring too in the first error does not exist even during the build. I also ran a full stack trace for the second error and no further insights were gained.  I feel like these 2 errors are caused by somehting else entirely.  Did I miss a step when I updated to 33.0? Thank you Error 1:> Configure project :launcherWARNING: The option setting 'android.enableR8=false' is deprecated. It will be removed in version 5.0 of the Android Gradle plugin. You will no longer be able to disable R8Exception while marshalling C:\Program Files\Unity\Hub\Editor\2021.1.24f1\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\AndroidPlayer\SDK\build-tools\30.0.2\package.xml. I'm trying to use this node to get the name, but it only returns a user ID, which seems to be the ID of my dashboard. so how do I get the Oculus name?

Hi folks, I'm trying to build a basic XR app for Oculus Quest 2 with a Unity 3D project. The app gets built and runs successfully, but gets run in 2D(kind of like the Oculus Browser/Events/TV) as opposed to entering VR. This behavior is not consistently reproducible but happens sometimes. Any ideas as to what could be causing this or how to get more predictable behavior?I'm using an Intel Macbook Pro, Unity 2020.3.21f1 with 3D template. I have XR Interaction Toolkit, XR PLugin management and Oculus XR Plugin installed.Build Settings -> API level 23 or higher

I just installed latest version of Oculus Developer Hub because the guy in the connect video was raving about.  When I run it, I just get a blank white window.  I am running Windows 7 Pro. Do I need Windows 10 or something?

Hi, I want to develop content for Vive pro and Vive Cosmosbut I don't really want to buy them because I plan to get a Oculus Q2 Can I develop and test SteamVR content for VIVE and use Oculus in the development for testing? Will it cause any problems? for example Key bindings?  I would be very grateful if you could help me with this! Thanks!

I started a new Unity project today for Rift, and went to my Oculus Dashboard to recall my app id... they used to be displayed on the main dashboard management screen that lists your apps. They don't appear to be listed there any more. I've looked through the app details, and can't find it anywhere. Did they move them or is this possibly a temporary website glitch?

How to upload ma apps to Quest store? There is no option to choosing Quest when creating app on dashboard. Only Applab is available. Recently, Jurassic is released on Quest. How do they release on Quest? is there way to get information about this?

Hi Guys, I'm just trying to get started using the Oculus SDK but upon importing Oculus integration into my unity project 2019.4.8f1 I get 8 Assets\Oculus\Avatar\Samples\SocialStarter\Assets\Scripts\P2PManager.cs "does not exist in the namespace 'Net' errors for things like Connect, Close etc. It doesn't do this in a fresh project so obviously something specific to do with mine.I have tried installing my main packages into a fresh build and then installing Oculus Integration and it doesn't give these errors. But I'm not really sure what might be causing this, any ideas?Help is appreciated, searching around yields zero results of someone having this same error that I can find.

As per title. At the moment, I'm installing the APK I deploy, using Sidequest (don't know another way). But I'm worried about the continuous plugging and unplugging of the USB in the headset. It would be much better to install through WiFi.Is it even possible?

I've been puzzling over this performance issue for a while now. I'm building a Oculus VR game for the Oculus Quest, everything is going great but the performance specifically in builds really tanks while it's great in the editor. I've looked around and haven't really found any solution to this. I'm using Unity 2020.1.3f1 Profiler in Editor:  Profiler in Build: Any help would be greatly appreciated as this issue is really killing development. Thank you. (I sent oculus a ticket, twice actually, and the second time I was just sent here .-. )

Hi everyone, using Oculus Integration and OVRCustomHand prefab, I'm trying to write a simple script that tells me which hand hitted/triggered a specific object.I tried use OnTriggerEnter() method, but the referred collider (CapsuleCollider) doesn't have any information of the hand. What do you suggest I do? Thanks in advance.

I have been successfully building and installing my project on business headsets for months using Unity 2021.1. I switched to 2021.2 recently and now the APK won't run (crashes immediately) on an OFB headset even though it runs on a commercial headset. I tried a very basic scene to make sure it wasn't a memory issue. After a lot of searching and experimenting I downgraded to 2021.1 again, but the problem persists. I did a file comparison between the project settings of a known working project and didn't see anything that could cause the issue.Has anyone experienced something similar, or know a project/build setting that might be the culprit? This is the logcat error I'm getting:2021-09-23T20:57:50.073Z: info2563/1043 WindowManagerWIN DEATH: Window{a23a355 u0 com.mycompany.myproject/com.unity3d.player.UnityPlayerActivity} 2021-09-23T20:57:50.072Z: error1134/1043 InputDispatcherchannel 'a23a355 com.mycompany.myproject/com.unity3d.player.UnityPlayerActivity (server)' ~ Channel is unrecover

Hello, is there any way to retrieve the firmware # of the headset programmatically?

I regist app in Oculus Developer.I can access my game to the app lab, but others will say Not Found when they access this address. Do you need any additional settings?https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/3495044237264667/

HiIm new to oculus development (Oculus Quest 2) and im trying simple app for making screenshots and screen recording. But im having a problem with permission to retrieve MediaProjectionApiI start activity for result, and the standard android dialog for permission shows but, but without allow/deny buttons, so im stuck.MediaProjectionPermissionDialogThis is the dialog, sorry for the phone pic, but build in screenshot does not show this dialog.Found simmilar issue here https://github.com/rom1v/sndcpy/issues/75 but no solution either. My code for showing this dialog. My team is working on an app targeted the Rift platform. Our developer workstations are setup with Quest 2. Is it possible to build from Unity for the Rift and then load run that distribution locally via Oculus Link?

Hello, I am trying to setup the Oculus Quest 2 controllers in Unreal as a virtual camera controller. So basically hook it up to my camera, then use it to create a virtual camera. I am sort of able to achieve this if I use steamVR functionality in Unreal, but the thing is that we need to enter a device number... 0-headset, 1-left Controller, 2-right Controller...  What happens is as soon as we remove the headset, it goes offline and then the device number changes and nothing works anymore in unreal. What I'd like to achieve is to not use the headset, but just the controllers. I know there is an oculus plugin in unreal, but it seems only be used for VR game creation. Any clues? Ideas?. thx! Marc.

Hey folks, our app recently started failing security vulnerabilities testing due to "GCP API keys exposed in app", implying that somewhere in code is a hardcoded web client API key.  However, I haven't been able to locate any such issue in our app.  Is there a way to run these security checks locally or get more information on where or what exactly the exposed key(s) are?

Greetings, Does anyone know how to solve the warning of "Unable to start Oculus XR Plugin"? I just have an OVRCameraRig and a Directional light in the scene, but nothing showed up in the Quest (connected to the PC through Oculus link) and the scene got stuck. I know the Passthrough api is coming in V31, but I didn't enable the experimental mode and I'm on Quest not Quest 2. The warning also suggests installing or updating Oculus runtime, but from what I searched, it's merely for Oculus Rift (please correct me if I'm wrong) and I don't know how to do it for Quest. Here're what I've tried: 1. Tried on both Unity 2021.1.X and 2020.3.15;2. Updated the Oculus XR Plugin to 1.10.0;Any help or hint?
