I'm using Meta link, I'm using an aftermarket cable mainly because I'm not looking into dropping like a hundred bucks on some stupid branded cable. My cord supports 5 GBPs. I can get the link working just fine, I can open up apps from my desktop on my VR, but anything longer than about 1 to 5 minutes It just crashes and it literally won't fix itself. It normally requires me to completely reset my computer in order to make the meta link app actually work again, even task manager can't save me of which the app constantly thinks that the VR is connected but is not ready even when the VR is on connected and ready. So I must reset my computer. After resetting my computer it claims that it is not connected of which it is not, so I connect it and it works just fine. But within 1 to 5 minutes of me trying to do literally anything it freezes and it shows me only one frame while all the audio pass-through works just fine. It then kicks me out of the link, But it still says I am in the link

I have been trying to spend Meta Credits on avatar clothes for the past month or so.Any time I get to the checkout menu and try to purchase, the processing wheel just spins infinitely. I have let it go for more than 30 minutes and still the purchase never completes.I always just cancel and move on to revisit later thinking maybe its just a server error that will be resolved later.I have tried many times and it is still doing this. Any chance someone can resolve this?

i come back after a while to use my quest 3 only to find this?  whos brilliant Idea was it at Meta to make a gimmicky interface that looks like its for a phone? I HATE it.   and apparently there is NO Way to change it back. the previous interface was WAY better. larger views of your apps and games installed and just a way easier to use interface this one is bloated with the way the app icons are so spread so far apart a TON of wasted space. WHY did you change it? you take one of the ONE things i actually LIKE about meta (i HATE facebook) and basically took a giant dump on it with this horrible horriible forced interface WHY? BRING BACK THE OLD INTERFACE! STOP FORCING UPDATES ON US WITH MAJOR DESIGN CHANGES THAT ONLY the Corporate BIG wigs would actually like! if the stupid app icons wernt so freaking spaced out so far maybe just MAYBE i could go for it but there is just WAY TOO MUCH wasted space.    

My Meta Quest controllers have severe stick drift and broken triggers. I am within my warranty period. Support approved my replacement 3 weeks ago, but the automated email system failed to send the return labels. The support portal now shows an error message stating 'there has been an error processing this request.'

After the v81 update, the new Immersive Home has completely replaced the old Horizon Home and removed the “Personalization” option. Honestly, this update feels like a downgrade. The previous Horizon Home was much better .. we could freely change virtual environments and enjoy a more personal, cozy spaceNow the new immersive setup feels limited, with only a few scenery options and no customization freedom. Please bring back the old Personalization feature or at least add more environment choices and better video screen size adjustment. The new Immersive Home really sucks compared to the old one .. it took away what made Quest feel truly immersive and personal

After a long 10-hour workday, one of my favorite ways to reset and recharge was slipping into my Quest home environment. Cascadia was always my favorite — peaceful, open, a place where I could truly unwind and reset my compass. Ryokan Retreat with its koi pond, Desert Terrace with the hot air balloons at sunrise, and Winter Lodge with that cozy vacation warmth… each one gave me space to breathe. Now, with the older home environments gone, I really feel the loss. The new ones feel confined, with boundaries that keep you from exploring. They lean toward pushing social interaction, which is great sometimes, but not what I’m looking for every time I put on the headset. I love exploring other worlds, concerts in Horizons worlds, and 360 YouTube videos of places I’ll be visiting — but I also just want a spacious, relaxing home to return to. So I've had a quest headset for nearly 4 years. The cyberhome environment was like a second home to me. Then they just removed them and replace it with a crappy Instagram home. HOW do I get quest home back? I'll try anything, I have sidequest, developer mode, more than familiar with sideloading, HOW DO I GET THE ENVIRONMENTS BACK??? I have several custom homes I want to try out too, and they removed everything except for this crappy Instagram home that NOBODY asked for.

If the tools meta used to make the new sceneries are the same used to make horizon worlds, why can't one just port old oculus homes over or recreate custom homes and use them on a quest headset?

Hi,I powered on my quest 3 headset and was getting a message "finding position in room" continuously so I did a factory reset and I'm now only getting a black screen after startup with some background sound.I can see the meta horizon label and hear the startup sound when booting but then it quickly goes to a purple and blueish gray picture before going black. I have no other menu available and I've factory reset 3 times. I see other board messages with similar problems so it starting to sounds like there is no fix yet?Thank you!

So I bought this Maestro game as a gift and did everything the same like I have done quite a few times before with games I bought as a gift and haven't had an issue till now. I bought the game and it shows up under my purchases and I can click on order details which gives me basic info on the purchase. However the recipient did not receive the gift and I have not received an email for the confirmation of the purchase like I have every other time I got a game as a gift. I tried to refund the game but haven't had any luck because it keeps telling me in red no device is associated with my account. It has also told me the game isn't eligible for a refund because it doesn't meet the requirements or something for an automatic refund I guess. Everything I have done and tried takes me back around in the same circle. I need a phone number I can call to talk to someone or an email to get into contact with someone that can help me. Heck I'll even take a live chat. Right now Meta has ripped me off

So when is it gonna  be available? 

G'day,When using the Meta Quest Link USB connection with a Quest 3 & 3s, the link will catastrophically fail after an unspecific length of time. The image will freeze and if I move my head around I can see the borders of the image and the blackness around it, implying that the async-spacewarp is still functioning.My PC continues to function normallyThe freeze occurs regardless of what's taking place on the computer. Whether playing games or sitting in the home screen, it will eventually freezeThis freeze is permanent until I restart the linkDouble-tapping for passthrough will get me stuck in passthrough and I am forced to exit the linkReconnecting the headset requires force shutting down the Meta Horizon Link app and its background tasks through task managerThis is not an isolated issue, two of my friends are experiencing this one of which just bought his headset and connected it for the first time. Hello my Meta quest 2 left eye went black cant see and only can see in the right one 

 

My Quest 3s speakers produce a buzzing/rattling sound at extremely low frequencies (approximately 60-40 Hz), both during gaming and video playback. Since most content doesn't frequently utilize such low frequencies, this issue can be easy to miss. In fact, it took me about two months of use to notice the problem, though it likely existed from the moment I unboxed the device. However, when I use headphones, everything works perfectly fine. I have tried almost every troubleshooting method, including system updates and resetting the device to factory settings, but nothing has resolved it. I'm unsure whether this is a hardware issue or a system/firmware problem. If it were a hardware defect, it seems unlikely that both speakers would exhibit the exact same issue, even down to the identical faulty frequency range (both below 60 Hz). Therefore, I'm leaning toward it being a firmware-related problem. 

Everytime I turn on the quest 3s it makes sound and loads up but after the logo screen it just seems to go to a black screen and the controllers seem to buzz and lose connection but they also regain connection every few minutes then disconnect again a second later I have tried everything from sodeloading an update and factory resetting but nothing seems to be working i am also able to see the power off menu when I go to power off but it is almost stuck 

After updating to 2.6, I developed a problem where the microphone would randomly turn off in any app. Only turning it off and on in the system settings helped. However, this didn't work in Steam VR mode—I had to restart the app itself. It would turn off about 5-10 minutes after launching games or apps (VRChat, for example).

I recently purchased a new Meta Quest 3 from Meta website but I am not able to redeem my free copy of Arkham Shadows. 

Hi, before the latest Quest OS update (April 2026) I was using Virtual Desktop over Ethernet via a USB-C hub (Baseus CAHUB-CW0G, Realtek RTL8153B chipset) and it worked great. After the update it stopped working completely.The interface (eth0) shows up and the hub is detected, but the Quest never gets an IP address — it just stays on IPv6 link-local and never connects. Virtual Desktop shows "Not in same local network".I spent several hours digging into this with ADB and found two things:The firmware file rtl_nic/rtl8153b-2.fw for the Realtek chip is missing — the driver logs an error on every connection attemptThe DHCP client never actually starts — eth0 comes up but the Quest never sends a DHCP request to get an IPv4 addressI tried everything I could without root: cmd ethernet set-ip-configuration eth0 dhcp, static IP, replugging the hub, different flag values — nothing works because the fix requires system-level access.This is affecting everyone using Ethernet with Vir

I had a meta account a long time ago I don't remember my 10 to the store and the phone number on file is in the same one and though I've updated it and my email is the same but they will not send me the code or the email to reset my pen I keep trying over and over again don't know what to do

​Hello ,​I recently purchased a used Meta Quest headset from a private third-party seller. The seller mentioned they previously used it for work and no longer needed it.​Before setting it up for my personal use, I performed a full factory reset. However, during the initial startup and account setup screen, the headset forces me to a screen that says "Log in with business organization" (work.meta.com/device). It will not allow me to bypass this screen or log in using my personal Meta Horizon account.​It appears the headset is still enrolled in an enterprise Meta Quest for Business MDM (Mobile Device Management) system by the previous owner's employer.​Could you please check the status of this device and let me know how I can move forward to get this unlinked so it can be used as a personal consumer device?

So I received a gift card for the Meta and finally decided  I wanted to redeem it. When I went to scratch off the code some of it came off and it is unreadable. I tried a few different times to redeem it since I could see a very small amount of some of the taken off code. I was able to get the receipt from the store it was bought, but it doesnt have a backup code. What should I do to redeem my gift card?

I honestly don’t understand why this feature was removed in the first place. For me, and for many other users, it was one of the main reasons to buy a Meta Quest. Without it, the headset has become largely useless for the way I use it.The new Anchor feature is not a replacement. I used the Follow Me feature every day while cooking, cleaning, exercising, or doing things around the house. Please consider bringing it back as an optional feature.

I don’t understand why Meta restricting the ability to use apps installed from sources other than the Meta Store. Doesn’t this violate the Digital Markets Act (DMA)? Do we live in a democratic world? Or did someone at Meta decide to follow in Apple’s footsteps—pay the fine and restore everything to the way it was?Bring back the tab, or do what all normal Android devices do: make installed apps appear alongside all other apps.
