Hi all. I’m in a bit of a pickle. I own a meta quest 2 and 3S. The 3S died and we used the warranty to get a new one. However it turns out both systems were set up under the same Gmail account. I cannot for the life of me get my sons games and progress from the S3 back! The new headset doesn’t even have “quick settings” so I can’t log out and try a different log in. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Yesterday my sons right controller just stopped showing on the display. I took the battery out for 12+ hours, tried a factory reset on the controller, unpaired and paired again. Nothing has worked, anyone able to advise me what to do? He only got it at Christmas 2025.Thanks
So basically, I had some right controller issues today and I thought I’d try to re-pair my controller and it wasn’t working in the Meta app so I got my spare controllers. I have two right spare controllers and both of them wouldn’t connect either so I thought I’d factory reset my headset now none of my right controllers can’t even get identified and I try them one at a time with fresh batteries nothing what do I do cause now I can’t. I feel like I can’t do anything. This is currently my third headset in three years and I can’t really afford to buy another one now my headset isn’t recognised on the Meta app because I just factory reset and I can’t get past the controller pairing menu at the start of factory reset so now I don’t know what to do sorry sorry for the rant just so frustrated.Bryce
Hi, even with the original cable, my Oculus 2 keeps disconnecting after about 5 minutes of use. The thing is, the software keeps running (I can see it on the monitor), and sometimes the Meta app itself tells me the headset is connected and I see the green circle. The cable is in good condition, not stretched or damaged, and all the software is up to date... in fact, I've reinstalled everything. Any ideas? Thanks
every since today i haven’t been able to use these batteries, i tried a diff brand of batteries same dize but longer metal tip, those seem to work but the metal circle in the battery holder seems more lower than my other controllers metal circle, please let me know a fix to pop it back into place. email me
Hello, earlier this week I was playing with my Quest 3 connected to the PC with the official link cable. Then, the connection crashed and I'm unable to connect to the PC using this cable since.Since I have only one USB-C port on my computer, I'm limited on what I can test, but I tried using a third-party cable and it worked. Also, I tried inverting the link cable ends (connecting the end that's supposed to connect to the headset to the computer and vice-versa) and it also worked. So, it seems the problem isn't with the cable or the USB port.I also tried reinstalling the drivers and the Horizon Link software, with no luck. All I get is a "Charge only cable detected" in the Quest display. Is there a fix to it?Both the Quest 3 and the cable are around six months old and I never had this issue before.
Hi all,I have a Meta Quest 2 and I am logged in on my parent account. Credit card set up and I've made purchases before.I add my child in Family Center, and they show up in the Horizon app, so that's good. However, in the Horizon app, I go to my device "Manage Profiles" and there is no button to add, I can only see my 1 connected profile. If I go to the profiles in the headset itself, it asks for the new user's email address, but my child's account doesn't have an email address. If I try going to meta.com/device I see my account and my child's account, however in order to add them to the headset it asks for an 8-digit code. No code appears in the headset or anywhere else that I can see. I only have my 5-digit pairing code I found in the settings, but that doesn't help.I've tried restarting the headset, no change. Can anyone help unstick me?

I've bought my first brand new VR headset on Amazon, on the official Meta shop, a Meta Quest 3S. No on a shady reseller.I've spent at least 5 hours trying to pair the headset on my Android phone, via the Meta Horizon app.I'm still stuck at the pair with the Horizon app screen on the Quest, which is for now a 300+$ worthless brick.I might add that i'm a senior systems engineer, more able with computers / gadgets than most people ...Both the Quest and the smartphone are on the 5GHz Wifi 5 channel (802.11ac)The bluetooth is enabled on the smartphoneI've tried pairing on two separate Meta accountsI select the correct headset model (Quest 3S)I've tried erasing the cache, the data, and desinstalling the Meta Horizon appI've factory reseted the headset a dozen of timesDuring the pairing, when i type a wrong pin code, the pairing is instantly failed, and the app asks me the pinWhen i type the good pin code, the pairing takes time then shows the "unable to connect to your headset", asking me to

I’ve been experiencing a really frustrating pairing and connection issue with my Meta Quest recently, and I’m hoping someone here might recognize what’s happening or know a fix. The headset was previously working normally, but after attempting to reconnect it through the Meta Quest mobile app, the pairing process started behaving strangely. The headset appears in the app for a few seconds and initially looks like it’s connecting correctly, but then the process either freezes, endlessly loads, fails during syncing, or disconnects entirely before setup finishes. Sometimes the app says it’s connecting while the headset itself shows no progress, and other times the headset briefly pairs before disappearing again from the device list.I’ve already tried:Restarting both the headset and phone multiple timesTurning Bluetooth off and back onReconnecting to Wi-FiForgetting and re-pairing the deviceReinstalling the Meta Quest appChecking for software updatesLogging out and back into my Meta account
Hello Meta Community Support. My Meta Quest account is completely locked because it was linked to an Instagram account that has been permanently disabled and deleted. I contacted Meta Store Live Support and was given Case Number 09446789. The chat agents and their supervisor refused to unlink my hardware, stating I must contact Instagram support to temporarily reactivate a deleted account—which is structurally impossible. I am a paying hardware customer locked out of my entire digital game library. Can an official Forum Moderator please escalate Case 09446789 to the internal Account Ops/Engineering team to manually sever this dead link or migrate my game library to a clean, unlinked Horizon ID? Thank you. @MetaQuestSupport
Hello,I have a Quest 3S that I enjoy using via cable to view my Windows Desktop. It appears (?) the only way to do this is via Horizon Link, and Horizon Link does not support hand controls, only the controllers. Further, it does not (?) allow passthrough, so I can't see my mouse and keyboard. I therefore need to do the following undesirable steps to access the desktop, after opening Horizon Link:With headset on, use controllers to open windows desktopTake off headset to pick up my mouse and keyboard and put away the controllersPut headset back onIs there a way to skip these steps with a USB cable connection? E.g. to just sit down with mouse and keyboard, put on the Quest 3S, and take control of the desktop? I'd be happy to try other free apps that use a cable connection if there's something other than Horizon Link.Thank you!
I’ve been using my Meta Quest 3 with my PC for a while now without any issues. I was able to copy files back and forth between the headset and the PC just fine. But recently, it suddenly stopped connecting. When I plug in the USB cable, I still get the notification bubble on the headset asking me to allow access. I press it as usual, but nothing shows up on the PC — no drive, no device, nothing. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:factory reset both the headset and the PCTried multiple USB cables (including the one that used to work)Verified that my phone and other devices connect to the PC without any issuesStill, the Quest 3 won’t show up on the computer. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it?Thanks in advance!
I'm the president of an association. We just acquired a MetaQuest 3 for a project that will ideally involve six headsets. If I understand correctly, I would have needed "Meta for Work," which is no longer available. What can I do? The goal is to manage the headsets via a centralized platform (if possible) and also to allow the users to play together. What would you recommend?
I had bought the Meta Quest s3 back in December for Christmas. Within a month, my right controller had a bad stick shift that made anything unplayable. Mind you that, there wasn't any games that I had that I had to used the thumbstick for so for a component that I barely used break was awful. I had to send the controller for a replacement. It took a month for them to send back a controller with about 3-4 times contacting customer service to ask about my replacement with no answer. The only answer they gave me was "We will look into this matter" all the times I've contacted them to get any updates. This experience itself was appalling. Now my left controller isn't pairing to my headset. It is stuck on "Updating firmware" only for it to fail. When a prompt comes up to pair the controller, nothing happens when I hold Y and =, no vibrations, just the controller blinking. My right controller is connected just fine. I've tried hard booting, I've tried unpairing and pairing it through my
My quest 3s has stopped charging. I've tried everything in the troubleshooting list. When I go on the horizon app the device is shown as something I own, but when I log on to my meta account it says there's no devices. If I try to add one using the serial number it says support not available. Does anyone know how I can add it to my account?I can't find any way to contact meta directly. Was looking if it's possible for a return or exchange as it still on its 12 month warranty.Cheers
I have my kids profile as an owner for a Meta Quest 2. I have been trying to add my profile to the Quest as an additional profile. I've tried multiple ways, multiple times and have been unsuccessful. If i attempt to send a code to the email I use for the account, click add profile, it gives me an error that says, "Device missing owner - The expected owner for this device is missing". Even though it has 'Add your profile to XXX headset' right in the email, so to me its recognizing the headset account holder. If I try to add the headset to my profile through my account on the Horizon app using the 5-digit pairing code it also fails and gives me the error that the device already has an owner. I'm also having a hard time contacting support to submit a ticket through my account because my account isn't associated with a device. Has anyone run into these problems? Every time I deal with this Quest it becomes overly frustrating as nothing ever seems to work right with the system.
Hi all, I just got a Quest 3, and was using a link cable. It tested fine, and I tried it out on a shooter game, worked fine. Tried it out on Assetto Corsa, worked fine. Then, in setup, I saw it was asking me if I wanted to use Horizon Link as the runtime for Openxr, I stead of SteamVR. After that, I would get about 20 feet out of the pit on AC, and I would get black jagged lines in my peripheral, and things would get choppy.I feel that I should have just left it using SteamVR, how can I change back?Alternatively, I noticed that my wheel and pedals are plugged into the same 3.1 header as the link cable. Is it possible that SteamVR has no problem with that, but Horizon Link doesn't like it?TIA
No matter what i do i cannot fix this error which makes my rift s unusable. Basically in the middle of playing a game ovrserver/meta quest link crash breaking the connection between the headset and my game. the game continues, but my headset freezes for a second, goes black, and loads back into the meta quest link dashboard. i have to close my game manually and reload it through the dashboard to get the headset to pick up the game again. really inconvenient when trying to use the headset for sim racing which is 90% of the reason i even care to continue trouble shooting this issue. i already lost my library of games i had from meta changing from oculus and sending emails with deadlines to migrate your account. i do not want my headset to become a paperweight because meta decides to push forced updates for legacy hardware I have ddu and reinstalled drivers/adrenalinUpgraded windows via win11 isoUninstalled and reinstalled meta quest linkRolled back to older drivers and nothing is se
So I’ve been trying to add some accounts on my headset(Meta quest 3) because I share it with my kids, and I accidentally deleted an account before removing it from my headset. It isn’t allowing me to add any accounts and anytime I try to, it says “Something Went Wrong. There was a problem sending the invite, please try again later.” It’s been going on for days now and I can’t figure out why it’s happening or how to fix it. If I can get any information on how to fix this, it would help a ton.
It's not working I try so many times it says try again later or it says it sends an email and I don't get it when I entered my paring code it said it wasn't long enough please help me I want to add another profile to my oculus quest 2
How do I put in a complaint so I may get a replacement controller for my quest 3?
