i am trying to follow the world streaming from learning section, but its outdated and not able to make anything work. Can someone make a step by step guide on how do i make it work? Currently when i assign a world to sublevel object  and set it to active, according to documentation i should be able to see the sublevel. But its empty and not even loaded while in playmode.

After updating the Quest Link app on my PC this morning, the passthrough is no longer working properly when playing from the Unity Editor (please see image below).Quest 3 v81.1034Quest Link desktop app 81.0.0.828.254Unity 6000.1.8f1Meta XR packages 78.0Windows 10,  i7-7700K, 16 GB RAMAMD Radeon RX 5700

Quick question — on my site, I noticed that when the homepage loads, some buttons take a second longer to respond. Is this a caching issue or something in the JavaScript? Would appreciate some insight.

Has anyone got Meta Horizon working on a MacOS using a virtual operating system, like Parallels (http://parallels.com) to install Windows? I'd love to try out this software but I'm running MacOS. I suspect it must work, but I don't want to invest into things without first figuring out if it will work or not.  Thanks!

Hi there, creators. For the past few days, I've been struggling to find an optimal way to spawn weapons and baskets for each player.  Previously, before discovering the AssetPool Gizmo, i spawned each weapon and basket for each player. This worked, and to no surprise, it was really slow ( and now in the latest version of the desktop editor, it either locks up the UI trying to spawn or isn't visible in the editor).  Utilizing the AssetPool Gizmo didn't lock up the UI; however, despite having a simple asset reference continues to return  `undefined`  instead of the spawned entity when i attempt to retrieve it from the pool. Could i be missing something? or is this Gizmo/ Asset Spawning buggy at the moment?Code snippet  private spawnBasket(player: Player): void { // Try pool first if (this.basketPoolGizmo) { const basket = this.basketPoolGizmo.getPooledEntity(); console.log(basket) // always seems to print undefined if (basket

hi! i'm curious if people are also using Mac/parallels running windows to run Horizon?

I'm in the planning process for another attempt at a world, this time trying to take into consideration better player management. Having learnt recently how to manage cameras and player controls I have a question about how you manage a lobby. Is it possible that your world can have more than the max number of players you set in 'Players Settings' what happens if your world is "full"? Does this just work transparently a world that is supposed to be 1v1 (max 2 players) will just spawn to demand or can there only be one instance of a world running?

After the AWS issues yesterday, my NPC meshes that were created with Meta AI disappeared! I was very happy with the creations and now I have to try to recreate them. The mesh history is no longer in the character builder. Is it possible that they will be restored, or are they fully wiped out?

Hello, I am just trying to call setScoreForPlayer, but getting and error sayinng that I am passing the server player when I'm pretty sure I'm not.  Eitherway, what is the proper way to call this?I have the System->Leaderboards->WorldLeaderboard1 and a worldlbgizmo also called WorldLeaderboard1 that points to the systems leaderboard.   //const lp = this.world.getLocalPlayer(); // tried this one first. error server player?      const lp = this.entity.owner.get(); // same here error server player       if ( lp )        {        this.world.leaderboards.setScoreForPlayer("WorldLeaderboard1",lp,score,false );      }Again getLocalPlayer and my local script this.entity.owner.get() also gets this same "server player" error.

This is a long shot but i would like to buy a quest 3 having previously owned a Quest and Quest 2. My issue is when I sold my Quest 2 a couple of years ago, i was going through a rough patch and deleted my Facebook as well.I had a lot of purchased games on there so it was a silly thing to do, but my head wasn't on straight at the time. The email, name etc is the same as this meta account I've created and I can of course provide other evidence if that helps.I know it's a long shot, but is it all gone for good? Thanks

Quest2 does not work, it connected to the network  but it says it has limmited conection, what  do i do? i will return the device, because i am fed up with oculus  setups!

Hey i want to ask how to create a custom shirt without being in MCHP and see if there is a way to do it because i dont know how and i been wanting to learn

My Quest 3 recently became unable to maintain a connection to my PC via link cable, rapidly connecting and disconnecting until it is unplugged . I verified it is not the PC or Cable itself that is the problem, by connecting my Quest 3s via the same cable, to the same PC, and it works fine. The question is whether I have a hardware issue or not. I am in the PTC and recently received V79.1030 Build 5115411.10640.520. The problem was intermittent with previous versions since v77 I think. If it's a problem with the build, I would expect that others may be having the same issue. If no one else is reporting the problem, then I probably have a hardware issue with the USB C port. Also, I recently noticed that I am recent AGAIN charging to 100% and getting the green light. Since v72 ish, I was unable to charge above 75%, but that problem is gone. So they ARE doing something with the charging (USB C?) circuitry

We are an independent video game studio based in Mexico. We tried to join the program, but it's not possible because during registration it says that we do not meet the requirements. It seems that Mexico is not among the supported countries, but on this page (https://www.meta.com/help/quest/759652432136500/) it says that Mexico is supported. Our account meets the other requirements; we are over 18 and have a Meta account in good standing. What could be happening that prevents us from joining the program? Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow creators! I created a social media app Market Mix through: business.facebook.com (outside Meta Horizon developer account)App details:- Social media platform for businesses/pages- In-app purchases enabled- Social login (FB, IG, etc.) fully integratedQuestion: Can I upload Market Mix to the Meta Horizon Store? What are the requirements, guidelines, or potential issues I should know?Your insights appreciated!

I have a Quest 3 (about 8 weeks old). When I am using Horizon Worlds and try to enter any portal to a live event, instead of teleporting me to the event, the Quest Universal UI appears, showing a window for the Meta Store, specifically showing a page to install Horizon Worlds. But the strangest thing is that this is not the official Horizon Worlds store page - the official page has over 15,000 user ratings (with an average rating of 3.5), but the page that appears only has 16 ratings (with an average rating of 2.3)! Also strange is that it has a "download" button, while on the official store page it has a "start" button (because, of course, Worlds is already installed on my Quest 3 as part of the Universal UI and it cannot be uninstalled or re-installed). Also, when I clicked "Install", it said "Installing" but the progress bar got stuck at nearly 100% and nothing happened. The "bogus" Worlds store page that opens when I try to join a live event in Worlds. You can see in the screenshot a

I'm using building blocks to test colocation and network avatars, The colocation part of the app works. But there is an issue with network avatars,Issue: When the second device joins via colocation the player spawns at (0,0,0) with avatar, But after the camera rig adjust itself to the spatial anchor the player(camera rig) goes to the location but the avatar still remains at the initial position.I have tried finding the "LocalPlayer" gameobject and repositioning it after some delay but it still remains at the same place.

I would love to use LLM AI NPCs in my game, please make the NPC api available to those outside US, specifically Australia. Its only usable in the AI NPC Template, because the npc api is enabled internally in that world under the hood in a way thats not accessible to other worlds. I dont know if you guys realize this or not.

I wanted to share some feedback on the developer experience, especially regarding the VScode toolchain. I've spent the entire weekend struggling with extremely slow and often failing compilations. As a hobbyist creator, my weekend time is the only dedicated time I have to build. To lose that entire window not to a bug in my own code, but to chasing what turned out to be instability in the development tools, is incredibly disheartening. We're often reminded as creators to put the user-first and fix bad UX as quickly as possible. I think it's fair to apply that same principle to the developer experience (DX). For us, the tools are the user experience. Right now, that experience is causing a huge amount of friction. What makes this more concerning is the contrast with the new in-world GenAI features. It's been noted that the GenAI scripting seems to compile and even debug its own code without these issues. This creates a legitimate concern that the foundational VScode toolchain, which is ess

I just got the Meta Quest Pro controllers for my Quest 3 and the firmware update has been stuck at 0% for about 30 minutes. I have tried restarting my headset, clearing up storage space, restarting the controllers, and unpairing and attempting the update through the Meta Quest mobile app. This issue happens on both v79 and v81. Has anyone else experienced this or has suggestions to get the update to start? Thanks in advance.

I would love to create world on the Mac.  Any love for people like me?

My Meta Horizon Home menu (on Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3, or Quest Pro) has disappeared. Normally, it shows up when I raise my wrist and see the small icon on my left arm. After some research, it seems this issue happens quite often and is considered a bug. Does anyone know how to restore or fix it?

On Steam, there is beta branch where live testing can happen without affecting releases. Is there something similar in Meta Horizon Worlds?I would like to release my world with core gameplay and base set of assets. This way I can see users' engagement with the world, while working on expanding it in the direction somewhat influenced by the engagement. And of course I'd like to be able to test updates live, before releasing it to the general public.

I have noticed that my world is built on older APIs and missing some other features.  So I would like to update to the latest.... however, that doesn't seem possible in the current Editor.  Even the Gen AI instructions are out of date.  It says I should be able to do this in the upper left via a World -> Settings menu... but for me that doesn't exist.  Soooooo.... How do I update my project to the latest with out having to create a new project and rebuild my current project from scratch?See Pic.  AI is referring to UI that isn't there.  So where is this world api UI?

HiEven though we added music to the game, we'd like to add a button that will let players turn off the music if they'd rather listen to their teammates and friends. So far, we couldn't mute just the music channel. We could only stop all the sounds. Any help that you could give us in how to control just the music in the game would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,
