Solved

As of a couple of hours ago booting into any app automatically sets a stationary boundary. I can define a new boundary just fine but absolutely nothing will use it now. Clearing the boundary history did nothing, hard resetting the headset did nothing. I'm on the most recent version. At a loss here. I don't want to play in stationary because I feel unsafe reaching out because it won't warn me of walls/objects or anything. I had been using roomscale boundaries since launch.

Hello!New to worlds development, so apologies if I'm missing something obvious in the docs.. We have a vision for a world that offers a main hub of activity, which has some central things to do, but then also provides pathways to a (developer time) dynamically set of sub-games / worlds that groups of players can engage in, with the goal of playing the sub game, updating some player state, then returning to the main hub after engaging in the sub-game.     This architecture is envisioned to offer flexibility and separation of concerns for creating and maintaining the sub-games.  Its also meant to allow more socialization in the main hub, but then more focused game play happening in the sub-game. The TLDR is.. how can / should we set this up? If I am understanding World Streaming correctly, this is not quite what we are looking for, as when you load in a sub-world its not player independent.  Its more akin to dynamically loading an experience for ev

AI already responds with text that gets put into the speech bubble but devs do not have a way to access this text.I would love to be able to do so.It would let me persist NPCs responses to a player or save the chat history so that it can later be added to the context when the player returns. It would also let me parse for keywords and maybe have NPCs attitudes to players change depending on what was said.I could also use the responses to start quests, unlock doors, or give rewards.I'm not sure why NPCs text response isn't given to us but please do so or let me know how because I can't figure it out.

i normally use my quest 3s in a pitch black room to help with light leak, but for whatever reason, for a few days now, i have noticed that it doesn't work at all, due to the IR lights on the front of the headset not lighting up. i dont see the purple glow in the reflection when i hold my phone up to the headset. this happened a few days after i got the new v81 update, and the 'show keyboard' option in the devices tab is off.

Hello, I was recently accepted as a Horizon Creator. I've since created 62 pieces of clothing to wear/sell, I discovered that I can no longer wear 14 specific items when I went to wear a particular piece of clothing. I've tried clearing App cache/uninstalling & reinstalling the App/factory resetting my headset/changing the clothing on the Meta Mobile App(none of which have fixed it). I've deleted them from my Item Inventory(to find out that I can't wear them again when remaking them, I can't manually erase them Worlds Desktop Editor either). I still see the items I've deleted in my Avatar's Closet, Is there a way to permanently erase them from my account? Or have a Meta Staff Member manually take them off my account? So I can't view/select those specific 14 items that are corrupted.

UPDATE: Solution found by Hansaplastique! THANK YOU! It seems this method forces Intel(R) UHD Graphics to render for OVRServer_x64.exe. At least, that's what's selected under "Power Saving" for my PC. My games still run fine using this method, since they still use the GPU. The dashboard/OVRServer doesn't utilize the GPU while in use. Changing the preferred processor in Nvidia Control panel for OVRServer_x64.exe does NOT solve the issue, although I thought it would effectively accomplish the same thing.  Many thanks to Hansaplastique. You're a real gamer. I made a video tutorial for the solution for anyone confused. https://youtu.be/H_WbAHVV7o4__________________Original Post Below-------------------- Oculus app isn't showing desktop, just black screen. What a **bleep**show. I've now got a world that was working PERFECTLY but, since the latest update, lots of stuff isn't working and I've done nothing. Mostly the problems relate to triggers that move items. Now the items either don't move at all or they move in a really broken/glitchy manner. Totally sick of this ecosystem and the lack of listening from the so called "developers". Nothing changes, it just gets worse. I can't wait until the Steam Frame drops. Horizon worlds is just a broken joke at this point.  So many bugs are now completely baked into the editor/worlds and no attempt whatsoever has been made to fix them, despite umpteen people making multiple reports about them.  If you're going to push through stuff that actually BREAKS PREVIOUSLY WORKING WORLD FUNCTIONALITY then you can just forget about having an ecosystem where people spend time on their worlds to add interesting stuff. What's the point. The people behind the development of this crippled app are abs

in the clothing creation I am getting blocked from uploading my own texture file that I created, saying it goes against the rules.  It is very kid friendly and no ip or anything.  Meanwhile, the AI generator gave me something that looked like it said “bit**” on it. is there an approval process we could submit textures to bypass the system?

I have a problem recording my screen in portrait or landscape aspect ratios, even after I change the aspect ratio in the advanced camera settings, it still records in square 1:1 aspect ratio.Sometimes, it randomly works, but most of time it doesn't.It also always uses the right eye, even if I set the Eye to left eye. This has been happening for a while now, and even though I'm on v81 the latest version available to me, it still doesn't fix my problem. Also note that I didn't have this problem when I first got the headset, it was fine, I would say it started happening around version 76 or 77.MetaMetalMonke

Hello, french here.Because of my GPU being incompatible with Meta Link and compile time too long, i wanted to have at least the simulation working. But on play mode, no simulation page is open like on any video i have seen. Nothing happens. I do not have any errors. The play mode is on play. Nothing usable on play (gray screen mostly caused with the stuff at 0,0,0)My specs are:Unity 6000.2.8f1, Window 10, Intel GHU Graphics 128 MB, RAM 16 GB, Intel i7 1.8 GHzAgain, i have found nothing to help me on the internet. If simulation do not work, link incompatible, do i have any others means with a sub-app like sidequest ?Good day and thank in advance for your help.

Hi everyone! 🙂I could really use a hand with something odd I’m seeing—and I’m trying to avoid adding more violations to my account. What’s happeningI upload my own, non-offensive textures (these include logos as well as styles) and they look fine at first—no flags. The violations show up only when I enable IWP, and I’m also seeing inconsistencies in overall texture vetting (not just IWP).I received back-to-back violation notices across multiple items.I appealed and ~5 minutes later (felt automated), some items with the exact same logo/style were approved, while others stayed restricted—so decisions are inconsistent across identical assets. Why I’m concernedI’m pausing new listings because I don’t want to trigger more violations while I troubleshoot. The mixed decisions—both in IWP review and general texture vetting—make it hard to know what to fix. What I’ve triedDouble-checked the textures, logos, and style elements against policy.Compared names, thumbnails, and descriptions between appro

Good morning!I've been having this issue multiple times for the past weeks where I open Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor and this error pops up:"Something went wrong, please restart the application or try again"However, this time started yesterday afternoon and it's still happening. With the MHCP deadline so close I'm afraid I might not be able to publish the game in time. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?ThanksP.S: I've tried both the editors from the Meta Quest App and the standalone one.

I was accepted into the Meta Creator Program and I'd really like to join the MHCP Discord server, but can't find a link to that in any of my emails. People keep asking me if I'm on that server, but I don't know how to get there. Can someone please advise me on how to find and join this Discord? Thanks so much! Also - a related question... I've seen some comments on here stating that you guys prefer that people use Forums, but yet other comments where you mention Discord and adding people to the Discord server. Are you actively using both?

Help me

Tonight I started up my Quest 2 and am unable to change the virtual environment. Also I seem to be stuck in pass through mode. What could be the problem? I have update v81.1034 which was installed today so it seems like there must be something wrong with this update. Thanks for helping.

Hello,Regarding the features marked with arrows in this screenshot (see attached), are they:Simply not yet released and active for everyone?Or do they require a separate application and access to a Meta Horizon Studio Beta version of the editor? If it's the latter, could you please point me to where I can apply for the Beta? I never get the email reply...Thank you.

I tried to use meta-AI to make cloths and texture mesh, and I get an error message that states Something went wrong to try again later. This is day 2 of the issues I cleared my cookies check for updates and restart my computer still the same.

I'm on the Quest 2, and with one of the new updates, there is a pop-up when you slide the lens to each of the 3 notches. I have mine pushed out all the way, and it's been working fine for years, but every 10-15 minutes a really annoying popup comes up saying the IPD is at 68, it just says what it's already at, and I'm not sure why, but I've never had this problem, and it doesn't seem like a hardware issue at all. Seems like others on Reddit have also had this issue around a month ago as of posting this now, and it doesn't seem like it's been fixed.https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1kuluby/ipd_min_message_keeps_popping_up_since_a_few/

I was just chatting with a friend on Instagram when I had this simple but wholesome idea: when you open a chat, background music starts playing.I tried looking for the "Ideas board", but it said the page was removed or I was denied access, so thats why I'm posting here, I don't know if it's quite the right place. I also have looked for other posts that might have suggested this before and couldn't find anything. This has probably been proposed or tested before tho, but I still wanted to voice it.Having music playing automatically play when you open a chat could enhance the chat vibe and personalization while at the same time add another level of engagement and interaction between users. Everyone involved in the chat would have the ability to choose the song or playlist, and it would play at the same time for all parties involved. Other relatively recent Instagram updates (notes, profile songs) have further implemented music interaction.Could be operated by a handy sticker or symbol to

Hello everyone! I just published a clothing store with in-world purchases and once someone buys an item it doesn’t show up on their assets. Does anyone else is having this same issue? (Someone just purchased 6 pieces and non of them are showing in their assets/closet). Any information would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone.   I received the Meta Quest 3 headset on October 12th. Launched, updated the software. And I started playing games while connected via Oculus Link to my laptop. On October 12, 13, everything was just great. Half Life Alyx has a fantastic level of graphics, a stable frame rate, there was not a single glitch. This morning I picked up the helmet again and noticed that the image quality had become terrible. Even in the lobby menu, it's terrible. There is no clarity of the image, the effect of a ladder and ripples is especially noticeable on the lines. I launched the same Half Life ALyx, and it was a terrible soap. Worse than in Quest 2. Also, while playing Blade and Sorcery, I noticed that the frame rate dropped. Although in the settings it is worth "raising the frame rate to 120 so that where possible".   Changing the settings of the frame rate, screen resolution in the Meta-application did not give results. Resetting to factory settings via the Meta application

Has anyone noticed that sounds are not working when building in the Horizon world building? For example, I had a music sound cube I placed in the world from the asset library. It played one day, I came back the next day, and it's not working. The same goes for a door that was supposed to make a door-opening sound.
