Solved

I am trying to build a multiplayer (online) where people in different places can play together. I am using Netcode and I am confused whether it is just for multiplayer playing side by side or can be played online as I see there is host and joining but how do I create a separate playing option. Any suggestion is appreciated. I am a new developer.

I don't know what's changed but I am no longer able to upload a build to my app lab app alpha channel using Oculus Developer Hub on my desktop computer (months ago it used to work). I get the error "Build Upload Error - an error has occurred" and nothing else. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling ODH multiple times, and this error has persisted even through updates of the last 2 new versions of ODH. This only happens on my desktop computer. If I try to upload the same exact build through ODH on my laptop, it works as expected.

I can t add any credit card to my account. I tried 6 different credit card master, visa, American Express and debit. No luck. I couldn’t buy any thing for 1 year. Is this Facebook Oculus!!! Why you bought oculus!!! To make more harder to serve oculus services!!! That is enough for me. Just solve my problem. You have big problems but no one can see these and no one try to solve it on your team!!!! different computers, different networks, different credit card types AND NO LUCK TO ADD NEW PAYMENT METHOD. Some of screenshots: oculus.com ErrorOculus App Error

This is still an ongoing issue months later.I have a split binary apk and obb build that I upload using the Oculus Platform Tool.My build is about 5gb. The first scene in my game is the APK, the rest of the game is within the OBB. When I download my game from the Meta servers in my test channel, I cannot load any scene beyond the first. I cannot play my game.As a test, if I remove half of my scenes to reduce the file size it magically loads the next scene. What?! I need the full game to work. This is still an issue months later and I have ZERO issues on Steam. It's getting a bit ridiculous now since I have to push out an update soon on the Meta Quest.Through UNITY, I have tried doing an Asynchronous Scene load and a regular SceneManager load and the results are the same.

Hello! I am developing a project in Unity that utilizes the face tracking, hand tracking, and eye tracking features of the Meta Quest pro. I have followed the tutorial on Meta's developer website here. I imported the movement SDK and enabled the necessary features under the OVRCameraRig (Quest Features and Permission Requests on Startup). However, no matter what I do, the only thing that is working in the Aura Sample Project is hand tracking. The avatar's face and eyes do not move at all. In the Unity console, I get errors that say "failed to start face tracking" and "failed to start hand tracking." I am using Unity version 2022.3.13f1. I also pulled another sample project from Github that someone developed to test face and eye tracking and I am seeing the same issues there. I researched prior instances of this happening with other developers such as here and I followed the steps that helped them resolve the issue such as enabling the public beta channel of the Oculus ap

I have just purchased a oculus quest 2 and am trying to cast to my LG smart TV.. It have screen share miracast but the oculus can't find the TV.. Help!!

I am trying to use the button of the left hand controller "X" to select objects on my game on Meta Quest 2 but I am not able to use the input system. How do we use the input system of Meta Quest 2?? I opened the input manager, I am confused on how to make my buttons be listenable to use it?? Any suggestion is appreciated.

UE: 5.3.2xr simulator: 59.0.0meta xr plugin: 59.0.0 If you look at the documentation for unity's xr simulator, you'll see content displayed in the game room and living room.https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-passthrough-tutorial-with-blocks/ https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/xrsim-unity/  So I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same with unreal engine,https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/xrsim-unreal but I can't seem to display the passThrough content on the simulator. If you install the apk file directly on the meta quest device, passthrough will start normally, but only the simulator will not work properly.Path settings such as meta_openxr_simulator.json etc. are done normally. Maybe UnrealEngine doesn't have enough support for the XR simulator?

Hi!I'm an indie developer. Recently, tried to get the admin verification to launch my app on AppLab.The verification flow itself felt very broken. First, I tried to do this on my laptop, but when you need to take a photo of your ID, Meta asks you to rotate your phone. So, I tried to do this on my phone. Unfortunately, on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, Meta heavily blurred all my photos. I tried another phone (iPhone X), and it worked. All photos of my ID I took from iPhone X looked well (however, Meta compresses the quality and uses automatic detection to crop the taken photo, which in most cases was done wrong). But each time I sent them the ID photo, I got rejected because they couldn't read information from the photo, which was nonsense because any human being would have read it without any problem since all requirements for the phone were satisfied. At certain point, I thought maybe they couldn't recognise a type of document I sent. So I tried different documents — passport, driver's licenc

I have UE 5.3.2, the Meta XR Plugin v60, the Oculus App (No Dev Hub) running, the headset in dev mode and I've tried both the Oculus cable and AirLink.  The headset it showing up in Unreal, and all the OpenXR plugins are disabled.  I have the Meta XR plugin in the engine plugins folder.  So I think its all good.  However, Unreal doesnt seem to be pinging the headset when I try to launch in preview mode.  and I get the following start up errors: LogOVRPlugin: Error: [XRCMD][failure] [XR_ERROR_FORM_FACTOR_UNAVAILABLE]: xrGetSystem(instance, &systemGetInfo, &systemId), arvr\projects\integrations\OVRPlugin\Src\Util\CompositorOpenXR.cpp:2086 (arvr\projects\integrations\OVRPlugin\Src\Util\CompositorOpenXR.h:302)LogClass: Error: EnumProperty FOculusXRFaceState::DataSource is not initialized properly even though its struct probably has a custom default constructor. I'm trying to use the Share spatial anchors provided in the oculus repository:https://github.com/oculus-samples/Unity-SharedSpatialAnchors But when I start the app and enter the Share Spatial Anchors scene, it shows on the log window: "You are not authenticated to use this app. Shared Spatial Anchors will not work."Reading the code it seems that the application is not getting the oculus user id correctly, but everyone is saying on forums that the project works, so I don't know if im missing something related to the user on the quest 2 or something...

Hi all. I have successfully uploaded the app to Alpha channel and passed all the test. But it will crash or only show black screen if load via store. However, there wont't be any problems if I install the same build via Developer Hub. Developed using Unreal Engine 5.1Any help would be hugely appreciated!

We have project for Oculus VR headsets which connects to external BLE devices, receive sensor data and represent it in VR. Recently Bluetooth and Location permissions were prohibited on Oculus so our functionality with BLE devices was broken and doesn't work on v59. Even if Location permission is enabled in app settings in logs it says that this permission is disabled.Documentation says we should use CompanionDeviceManager API for that purpose as alternative solution. The problem is that CompanionDeviceManager also doesn't work on v59. It shows system dialog with ProgressBar but after waiting for a short time it closes without finding Bluetooth devices. In the logs can be found a message from com.android.companiondevicemanager with a text "No adapter attached, skipping layout". It looks like internal bug with RecyclerView implementation on Oculus side. The same code works perfectly on Google Pixel 7 with Android 14 but on Oculus our project doesn't work for both approaches – B

I'm trying to run the lighting sample provided in the Oculus Integration package on the Quest 3 using Unity. But I'm only seeing the flashlight on my left eye (like in the image below) and on my right eye I just see the dark room. I've also noticed this issue with the OVRSceneManager where the global mesh or a wall will only appear in the left eye and not the right.Has anyone else had this happen? Is it a software issue or a problem with my unit?    Thanks.

Is there an API method to query the user's OS settings, in particular if they set their Horizon Home environment to immersive or passthrough? My game is immersive so I won't have a passthrough view all the time but during the load screen I'd like to show passthrough but only if the user is coming from a passthrough view.If anyone knows how this information can be obtained, please let me know. Although I guess it might not be available to the app.

I run the HandsInteractionTrainScene in Quest with Unity, and find that the skeleton physical colliders are not updated with hand tracking pose. I only turn on the Render Physics Capsules and allow Hand Tracking Support in OVRCameraRig. Does anyone know what's going on?You can see the footage in the attached zip file.

Hello !Since the Oculus Integration SDK is being split into different modules and will only be available through the Unity Package Manager from now onwards (as show here), I'd like to know what's the difference between the Meta XR Interaction SDK and the Meta XR Interaction SDK OVR Integration packages ?

Hello, following this tutorial :https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-isdk-create-locomotion-interactions/i am blocked because i have to extract one prefab from a scene, but i can't find it (sorry for my bad english): locomotionExamples. So impossible to do this step :"Adding Locomotion Interactors for Controllers"I have the last version ofmeta XR All-in-one sdk  andmeta XR interaction sdk Ovr integrationif someone can help me please ?

IBAN is correct, i checked many times. I tried manually typing IBAN aswell

I bought my Oculus Go back in 2018 and been using it for sometime now. Suddenly today when I turned it on, it was stuck with showing the 3 dots. I did a factory reset on the headset. Uninstalled and reinstalled the oculus app on my phone, I restarted both headset and phone multiple times. After I log into the oculus app on the phone and tried to add a new device, it detects the oculus go serial number but it is no longer able to pair with the oculus headset on Bluetooth. I have tried multiple times now to restart and reconnect over Bluetooth. Wifi is also enabler on my phone.  Both phone and headset are fully charged. Now I do not know what to do anymore to get the headset working.

I am trying to launch an Unreal project on Quest 3, but I always get the error PackagingResults: Error: Launch failed! Unknown Cook Failure. I have tried in two separate projects, one is empty and one made with the Unreal VR sample project. I am using Unreal 5.3.1, and I followed the meta quick start guide to make sure I have all the prerequisites. I have uploaded my log file. Any help on this would be great.

Hi!My app instantly crashes when i try to open it after enabling the MetaXRPlatform plugin. It works flawlessly without the MetaXRPlatform.Testing on Quest 3Built with Unreal 5.2.1Meta Plugin V57 (1.89.0)MetaXRPlatform v57 (1.89.0)I've also tested with both Meta and Platform Plugins v56 (1.88.0)The only error i get is when i try to Logcat and i find this:cannot locate symbol "ovr_ApplicationInviteArray_GetSize" referenced by "/data/app/~~bvSnDS-fNz3PZusLcHZUYQ==/com.xxxxx.xxxxxx-sz5bGExZ1nd9G_ukRcJkgA==/lib/arm64/libUnreal.so"...

Ok, So..... I need to use Shared Storage to access folders that the users wants.  I know it works, since flat apps like Amaze file manager can do the entire flow, but when I try from my VR app written in Unity, it fails to receive the request. What I have doneMade a Jar pluginAdded in a Activity to receive the requestsFrom c# call into JavaStart a new activity to receive the result, this makes VR go blankFrom java generate the OPEN_TREE... Hello. I'm trying to figure out Interactions with the Meta XR all in one SDK. I can pick up a cube (woo!), but I cannot grab a sphere at a distance. I was following what I could find around the Interaction SDK and recently downloaded the SDK for XR-Interaction-sdk-ovr-examples, which I took at face value when it stated, "Contains sample scenes, prefabs, and art assets for Interaction SDK, using OVR variants of the player rig.". I cannot find any scenes in the package that I can successfully import to my Mac project. Can anyone steer me right? Are scenes just not included in this release? The App Lab project works great and I want to decompose the scenes used here to make sense of it for my project, which is suffering from a lack of clear documentation. Thanks for any help on this.
