1st - I can't create a new application, this error appears. If I refresh the window the application does appear.2nd - If I try to use the entitlement check, it does not recognize the application and closes as if it did not have the permissions. In Oculus Platform Settings I add the application ID that is generated in the App IDUsed to initialize the Platform SDK.Launching directly in Unity Editor gives me the following error.UnityException: Update your app id by selecting 'Oculus Platform' -> 'Edit Settings'Oculus.Platform.Core.getAppID (System.String appId) (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.platform@59.0.0/Scripts/Platform.cs:50)Oculus.Platform.Core.AsyncInitialize (System.String appId) (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.platform@59.0.0/Scripts/Platform.cs:64)AppEntitlementCheck.Awake () (at Assets/_Aztiak/Scripts/00_AppEntitlementCheckScene/AppEntitlementCheck.cs:10)UnityEngine.Debug:LogException(Exception)AppEntitlementCheck:Awake() (at Assets/_Aztiak/Scripts

I hope this message finds you well 😊. I am currently engaged in Unity VR development and navigating through the intricacies of creating immersive experiences.Given the dynamic nature of VR technology and Unity's evolving landscape, I'm curious to hear about your experiences and insights. Here are a few specific points I'd love to get your thoughts on: 1. What strategies have you found most effective for optimizing Unity VR projects to ensure a seamless and immersive user experience, particularly when it comes to resource-intensive elements like graphics and interactions?2. Have you faced any specific challenges when integrating Unity VR projects with external hardware or third-party plugins? How did you overcome these hurdles, and are there any cautionary tales or lessons learned you could share? I genuinely appreciate your time and expertise in addressing these questions. Your insights will not only aid me in overcoming current roadblocks but will also contri

I have my build on three Quest 3 devices. Two are running: 59.0.0.163.706.533208642The other is running: 57.0.0.297.669.526237896All devices are using the same login account. When running GetLoggedInUser it returns the correct Oculus ID on v57, and Oculus Id=0 on v59.---- I have confirmed this by updating the v57 device to v59 and now the Oculus Id=0 using the same build and account.Too the best of my knowledge all required permissions are provided.

We cannot obtain Oculus Platform UserIDs on headsets running software v59. Unity integration Oculus.Platform.Users.GetLoggedInUser() returns a user object with an ID of 0. Headsets on earlier software versions (v57 and below) can successfully obtain the User ID. We have access to necessary Platform Features through the meta developer dashboard.

I have an UE5 standalone application for Quest2. I need to open pictures that are stored in the "Pictures" folder. Can someone show me an example of how I can get the correct folder path.

Hello, I am trying to fill in my app metadata but whenever I put an image into any field that is above screenshots and I click save changes, all of the fields I filled images in disappears.

Whenever I try to add assets, for example, the logo or the cover art, it all uploads fine and I see it uploaded, but then when I click "save changes" it just doesn't save them and instead deletes them, when I try again, it does the same thing. I can't upload my app to applab because of this reason, because it says "Please complete all metadata sections before submitting" Does anyone else have a similar problem?

I get the following every few minutes ```EntryPointNotFoundException: ovrp_QplMarkerStart assembly:<unknown assembly> type:<unknown type> member:(null)```Any suggestions?

I thought I created a post about this already but I can't see it anywhere. Anyway, I've been trying to run the new XrHandsAndControllers OpenXR SDK sample in v56 SDK on my Quest Pro, and build.bat won't even compile.I get this error:  Aside from that, XR_METAX1_simultaneous_hands_controllers_management OpenXR extension isn't listed on my Quest Pro with v57 firmware and v56 SDK (which is where I got the headers for this from). I added the hand tracking permission and experimental flags in the manifest, just like XrSample above has, but it doesn't enumerate the XR_METAX1_simultaneous_hands_controllers_management OpenXR extension by the runtime. Can anyone help me with either or both of these issues? Thanks.

It would be really great for the community if we could get some sort of timetable for support for Unreal 5.3!

Hi, my colleague and I are developing on Windows PC/laptop for Quest 2, using OpenGL. I have an NVIDIA Quadro P5200, and can successfully run the OculusRoomTiny_GL executable from my laptop and display on the Quest 2 via the PC Link cable (hooray!) However, my colleague, running with Quadro T2000 graphics, is getting an "Incompatible system hardware" error. I've checked the Quest hardware compatibility page, and the number of mentioned NVIDIA cards are quite small (and no mention of Quadro at all). Does that mean that some Quadro cards are compatible, but others are not? Thanks much.

There is a tutorial on how to create an OVRSceneManager component, but after creating it and placing a cube in a scene, the cube isn't actually placed in a room like it should be. After taking off the headset and putting it back on, the position of the cube is being reset! I noticed that the Phanto project doesn't have this problem, but I can't find a solution for my project. Isn't this something that should be already documented in https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-scene-gs/ ? I can't really create any mixed reality apps without this feature and there is no solution documented anywhere.

Hi, I don't know if anyone has had any similar experiences, but I wanted to just have a little play with superimposing some text over the top of the passthrough mode on the quest 2 using web xr.I tried to use the examples from here: Mixed Reality Support in Meta Quest Browser | Oculus Developers My quest is on version 51 PTC software and I find the passthrough mode and text is only visible if your head is in exactly one position. If you move your head the screen goes completely black. My code is:   <html> <head> <script src="https://aframe.io/releases/1.3.0/aframe.min.js"></script> <script src="https://mixedreality.mozilla.org/webxr-polyfill/build/webxr-polyfill.js"></script> </head> <body> <a-scene xrweb="arMode: true"> <a-text value="test" color="black" position="0 1.5 -2" background-color="white"></a-text> <a-camera></a-camera> <script> // Get the

Does anyone have documentation on correct versions to use when deploying from Unreal Engine 5.2 Oculus branch to Meta Quest 3 for the Android SDK, Android NDK, Android Build-Tools, Android Command-Line tools and cmake? What about Unreal-specific settings? Anything I should know there too?Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi!I'm experiencing an issue with debugging where the only thing that shows up in Android Logcat is a gigantic stream of errors. Here are a few of the highlights - there seem to be no ends to the new errors it will throw:Error      | Tracking             | AnchorCacheHelpers: Nearby anchor does not exist in shared memory!Error      | SyncBossHAL    | [error  ] syncboss_hal_input_helpers.c(177): Failure reading cache data when attempting to check if input is awakeError      | [CT]                    | SpatialAnchorPipeline: [Throttled count=49] checkStateEq: getActiveGuardian Called in an invalid state. IDLEError      | AppOps             | java.lang.SecurityException: Specified package system under uid 1000 but it is notError      | SensorService  &nb

Does anybody know where to find the 3D Assets for the new controllers? somehow I was only able to find the old ones 😕

When trying to run the sample project provided in the Oculus PC SDK for Windows, I get the error that it is unable to start the program due to LibOVRKernel.lib as it is not a valid Win32 application. Does anyone have any advice on how to get the sample project running? I am attempting to use Visual Studio 2022 if that helps, while the files provided are VS2017 and VS2015.

Hello,I'm looking to setup everything to work on unreal5 for a VR/AR game.I just want to be able right now to launch the game in my Quest3 but I have an error when building/launching the appLogPlayLevel: Error: UAT: ERROR: Stage Failed. Missing receipt 'D:\Unreal\Project\Starter_521\Binaries\Android\Starter_521.target'. Check that this target has been built.Does anyone have any good step by step tutorial for the setup of android and everything, I think I did it properly but doesn't looks like it 😥I followed this tutorials:https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/unreal-quick-start-guide-quest/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYc2ZpSc7LAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSS1P_ABamc&t=1259sNone of them are really following the same exact steps unfortunaly and it's for Quest2. I've setup everything from Meta Quest Developer (working) I can see my headset and see it cast.I've installed Android Studio (this is the most confusing things with all the needed version

I updated my Oculus Quest 2 to the newest version (49.0.0.207.357) 5 days ago and since then my device does not recognize my Room Set Up anymore when I start the editor with my headset plugged in, Oculus Link on and the headset active. I am getting this message:"Scene Capture does not work over LinkThere is no scene model available, and scene capture cannot be invoked over Link. Please capture a scene with the HMD in standalone mode, then access the scene model over Link.If a scene model has already been captured, make sure the HMD is connected via Link and that is is donned."Please help, it makes it incredibly slow to test anything related to the MR Room Setup in my game because I have to make a build for each iteration.

One of our customers is seeing this kind of freeze, where the VR image stops updating but you can still look around and past the edges of the last render.  The app itself isn't reporting a crash, so I'm wondering how to begin to debug this.  Could the app itself be in an infinite loop, with Oculus async reprojection allowing them to look around without the app itself cycling?  Or must the app still be cycling for them to be able to look around, with perhaps the renderer having crashed somehow?  This build uses Unity 2020.3.35, but I posted here thinking it was more relevent to Quest than Unity behavior.

I have created a PCVR title that uses Cesium to stream global terrain data at runtime.to the users PC.  In reviewing AppLab requirements, it appears that content may only be streamed from the users PC, and not from a cloud server.  Can someone confirm that this requirement effectively disqualifies my title from being approved for AppLab?  I don't understand the rationale for this test, but if I have correctly understood the requirement, I'll save myself the trouble and find another way to distribute my game.

I am trying to get my account verified for a developer under:https://developer.oculus.com/manage/verify/The text instructs that I need either to enable 2fa or to add a payment method. Mind you both have been configured for my normal Oculus account, but it seems for the dev section it is yet another location and it seems only credit card is accepted. However, I did enable 2fa from that view and it still does not show it as enabled, despite me logging in using it.Then I tried adding a credit card and the site briefly shows an entry before errorring out and removing the entry. The error is non-informative at all stating "An Error Occurred!", in the body it just says the word "Message" and I have the option to Cancel or "Report Bug". Now guess what "Report Bug" does... it does NOTHING. Literally! You click it and nothing happens. As a final straw - in my bank statement I see as many 0 USD transactions as the number of attempts I did to add the card. And I know for a fact the card is not rest

Since we updated one of our Quest 2 devices to operating system version 59 our android code for requesting permissions no longer works.private void checkPermissionsAndInitialize() { // check permissions List<String> PERMISSIONS = buildPermissionList(); if (mainActivity.hasPermissions(PERMISSIONS.toArray(new String[0]))) { intialize(); } else { ActivityCompat.requestPermissions(mainActivity, PERMISSIONS.toArray(new String[0]), PERMISSIONS_REQUEST_CODE); }}@Overridepublic void onRequestPermissionsResult(int requestCode, @NonNull String[] permissions, @NonNull int[] grantResults) { super.onRequestPermissionsResult(requestCode, permissions, grantResults); intialize();}private void intialize() { Log.d(LOG_TAG, "Build version: " + Build.VERSION.SDK_INT);}This snippet should be straightforward but for some reason the if statement always evaluates to false and onRequestPermissionsResult is never called, so the log is never printed.
