Solved

I'm interested in how to make a VR short similar to "Dear Angelica." DA was done in Quill (and it sounds like Quill was created for it originally), but that's about all I know about the process. I'm still unfamiliar with Quill, but I didn't see a way to export brush strokes in a similar way to DA. I noticed an Unreal Engine logo in the credits, but I'm unsure if that was used to produce VR experience or just the 3DOF video version.Does anyone have any guidance or a direction to point me in? My goal is to draw a few scenes, and have those scenes "draw in" similarly to Dear Angelica.

Hi all,Just got my Quest 3 but stuck at verify developer account. Neither options work, credit card or phone (and logged in using the authenticator app). Meta chat routed me to this forum for support. Appreciate any help.

Hi. Is there anyone have any idea how to create a breaking glass using meta sdk? I'm developing a new project at the moment and I don't have any idea what am I doing.

I tried to upload a new build for my app through the Meta Quest Devloper Hub. All the previous versions are in Release Channel Production (App Lab), but when I select this during the upload and then submit, I get the error message that this channel does not exist. Why? It's there in the app overview page and I can select it from the dropdown during the submit. What's going wrong? Thanks.

I am now using Unity 2019.4.36, recently updated from Unity 2019.4.23.  I rebuilt my Quest 2 project and deployed to the device and now it launches a black screen. Trying to unravel what has changed/not changed. I'm using Android API 30.  Is this the correct version?I upgraded the Oculus XR plugin in package manager to 1.12.0 and still doesn't work.  I was on 1.11.2.I tried building with Vulkan instead of OpenGLES3, but still doesn't work.I have tried toggling a few other settings like "Low Overhead Mode", but still doesn't work.I have tried toggling Multithreaded mode, but still doesn't work. Quest OS updated in the meantime as well to now include the Meta logo on startup instead of Oculus logo, but still no luck. I do notice this obscure opengl error when not using Vulkan.  With Vulkan, no error. Quest OPENGL NATIVE PLUG-IN ERROR: GL_INVALID_OPERATION: Operation illegal in current state (Filename: ./Runtime/GfxDevice/opengles/GfxDeviceGLES

Hi there,I'm trying to enhance my passthrough app to be room aware, but having issues setting up the colliders. So far I've used Building Blocks with Meta API v60 and Unity 2023.2 and everything else is working fine - room scanning, seeing the walls with materials applied etc.The issue is the walls don't provide collisions for particles or rigidbodies, no matter whether i add Box Colliders or Mesh Colliders (convex/otherwise) - is there a recommended setup or any way to debug? This tutorial is great but the collider steps don't work for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_1Xby35fSoHere's the heirarchy, so far I've been focused on adding colliders to 'PlaneMesh' and 'Volume>Parent>Mesh' but any ideas welcome

Hello does anyone know why my oculus quest 2 won’t download games it says installed failed then when I click try again it does nothing I’ve tried everything but nothing works

When I Build and Run the app in my VR Device, it shows the FPS of 72 but whenever the Avatar is loaded and spawned the FPS Drops to around 40. I have tested the app and established that whenever the Avatar is rendered by the camera, the FPS drops. Do let me know if someone is facing the same issue and has any solution for it.P.S I downloaded the FPS script from the trusted source and there's nothing wrong with it.

Hello,I'm having an issue while developing for Quest3, while debugging with Oculus Link (via USB 3.0), I can't see the 'ask for spacial data permission' popup on Quest3 after I enter the Unity Play mode. This also causes Unity to crash after a few seconds in the Play mode.I am trying to run the sample scene of scene manager in the Unity-StarterSamples project.  Circumstances that have been checked:All setups mentioned in the documentation have been completed, including configuring Oculus Link, Meta Quest Develop Hub, Quest 3, Unity. I can run other samples in the Unity StarterSamples. And scene model can be accessed if I build this as an Android APK and run it standalone.I have changed to use USB 3.2 high speed cable but still the same.I have tried to whether use this device as storage or not. All the same. Device: Meta Quest 3Quest software version: 62.0.0.273.343.570372087Unity version: 2022.3.20f1

Hi,I have spent the last two years developing for the Quest 2, and recently got the Quest 3. It's a great device and I'm super happy with it. There is just one big problem standing between me and total developer bliss. How is it possible that we still don't have a stable, robust hand tracking implementation across the whole development pipeline in 2023? I'm confused as to how Meta envisions developers to take full advantage of their (really good) hand tracking tech, if there are consistent inconsistencies, fumbling around, trying seven different versions of all of the little SDKs, components, etc.Can someone please advise me on how to achieve a simple Unity scene using the standard Oculus Integration, where I can just click "Play" in the editor and get hand tracking working over my Link cable? So far I have gone through five different Unity versions from 2021-2023, even more different Oculus Integration SDK versions (v50-57), and three different headsets (Quest 1, 2 and 3). Nothing

When there are 2 players in a scene i can see myself in the other player as well as the movement how did you fix that. I am using mirror network and I am using meta avatars sdk

Hello,I want to create some custom hand poses that should be recognised by the enhanced input component System. I Have found this video on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkDEb282kII) but there he prerecords and loads the gestures to the hand components. Is there a more convinent way of creating and storing custom poses?

When using Meta XR Core SDK v62 on Unity 2022.3.20f1 Meta Quest 3 standalone it gets detected as a Meta Meta_Quest_Pro by OVRPlugin.GetSystemHeadsetType Running using AirLink through Unity editor on Windows Meta_Link_Quest_3

So I just implemented hand tracking. It works as expected, good. However, as soon as I pick up one of my controllers hand tracking seems to be disabled on the other hand. This probably makes sense in most instances but I thought v62 supported the ability to use one controller and one hand. Does anyone know if it's possible, how I can address this?

I am integrating the MetaXR plugin into my game for body tracking. All is well, but now the multiplayer servers always crash. After extensive testing, I decided to just launch the MovementSample as a client with a dedicated server, and notice that crashes on startup as well, isolating the problem to the MetaXR plugin and not my game. This render multiplayer usage currently not possible. Am I missing a step perhaps?Would be great to use it within multiplayer. The logs don't really provide any context. There are these few errors, which may be the culprit, however, I will note the console continues to log for awhile before the crash. The crash occurs when the player connects to the server. The server alone will live on its own indefinitely.

I wonder is OVR Virtual Keyboard (https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/VK-unity-overview/) has ability to change language? I can't find any settings for that.

I seen in a YouTube video that Laying Down Mode was coming to the quest in v53, but this feature did not appear. What happened to this highly anticipated feature? Is it still coming in a future release? According to the YouTube comments I am not alone in wanting this feature badly.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omfRzBmR_fQ

Can you use gift cards to buy shiny rocks in Gorilla Tag?

Im trying to buy a game on the oculus store with a pre paid gift card, the numbers are right, it has enough money in, and its activated and its still saying that the card is declined and to re-enter the information or try a different payment method. Ive re-enterned the cards details multiple times and its still being declined

Everytime I have tried to add another accounts onto my quest 2 the device code on meta.com/device says "Invalid Device Code Request! Please try again!" I have factory reset my headset and done all troubleshooting methods.

When I call the function OvrInput.GetControllerBatteryPercentRemaining(), it always returns a value of 0.Does the GetControllerBatteryPercentRemaining() function work after OvrPlugin 1.78?We have not been able to import the controller battery since we recently upgraded to oculus integration v50.Also, The Test Project that integration v50 was installed also did not work.public static extern Result ovrp_GetControllerState5(uint controllerMask, ref ControllerState5 controllerState);function appeared to have a problem, but the OvrPlugin.DLL was encrypted and could not be verified. Thanks for your Help!
