Hello everyone, i really want to buy my own OCULUS, so i decided to build a propper PC for it, so my question is: Will my configuration (read below) allows me to enjoy the VR world?Graffic card : Asus STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GamingMotherborad: Asus B150M PRO GAMINGProcessor: Intel Core i5 7600kI really hope you will help me, because VR and OCULUS is my little dream ;)

I'm interested in visualising medical image data with my Rift, but unsure of the best way to do this. Ideally, I would like to be able to rotate, translate and zoom with the game pad or touch controllers, or otherwise just watch a pre-recorded fly-through as a demo. The first thought I had was that some of the software I use (in particular Amira on Windows 10) has support for 3D visualisation, such as raw stereo (OpenGL) and split screen horizontal/vertical. Could any of these be easily hacked to be sent to the Rift? For example if the scene for each eye was rendered on a separate area of the screen, could this be captured and used by the Rift? I've had a quick look through the SDK, but couldn't find any quick solutions...Otherwise, are there any apps that will take 3D data (some sort of surface file perhaps?) and allow you to interact with it?Any suggestions very welcome!

I`ve been working with the CV1 and Unity for several months now to create a little testing environment. Everything worked perfectly fine until today when Oculus Home notified me it needed an update. The moment I updated it, Unity didn`t recognize the HMD anymore. Is there any fix to this? Or a way to downgrade Oculus Home?

So I applied for a headset and the touch through the hardware-request-form about a month ago. A couple of weeks ago I got an email saying my request had been approved and would ship in 2 to 3 weeks. I was delighted and couldn't wait to add Oculus support to my game. I had no way of tracking this but today out of the blue I got an Oculus package 1 of 1 delivered but it was the touch and no headset. I'm not sure what is happening now. Will the headset be shipped at a later date? Will it be shipped at all? Have I only been approved for the touch and not the headset? (There was nothing in the email to suggest otherwise) Is there any way to check if I will get the headset at any future date? I'm not sure if I'm getting worried unduly and the headset should follow on in a few days. Is there anyone else reading this that applied for both and only got the touch or got both but at different times. I'm really grateful to Oculus but because there was no order details so I can't check it up.

I'm currently developing in UE4 but it's a general math programming question.Say you have the player with his arms extended in a T pose and then you want to detect if he's rotating (keeping that pose) clockwise or counterclockwise. The player has to be able to look wherever he wants so can't use the camera rotation and he can also be facing any direction.I'm detecting the required proper pose properly, I'm then measuring the delta between hands positions from frame to frame which gets me a direction and a velocity but I can't for the life of me figure out how to tell if it's going clockwise or not.Any tips?

Hi, all. I've been scouring the web all day for Touch haptic examples in Unity, but it's been difficult finding any beginner-level example scripts. Here's what I have roughly in "MyGunScript" that is attached to my "Rifle" game object:public class MyGunScript{ OVRHapticsClip myHapticsClip; public AudioClip myAudioClip; void Start(){ myHapticsClip = new OVRHapticsClip (myAudioClip); } void Update(){ if (OVRInput.Get (OVRInput.Button.One)){ OVRHaptics.RightChannel.Mix (myHapticsClip); } }}And then I dragged a very loud gun shot sound into the public "myAudioClip" in the script. However, I feel no vibration in either left or right Touch controllers when I pull the trigger during testing.Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks!

Hello everyone!i need some help. Fps in my game in UE4 when i use VR preview - jumps from 90 to 45 and back discretely. Like something lock fps :( who faced something like this?

We are currently porting our VR game to Oculus home (it's already on steam).  The game requires that clients connect to our own servers.  On steam, we use the users steam account, which happens something like this:  -  Client logs on to steam -  Client request authentication token from steam -  Client connects to our servers and provides authentication token. -  Our servers verify the authentication token with steam servers, and then allow authenticated session.I'm having trouble finding the documentation for equivalent functionality for Oculus Home accounts.  Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

I'm working with Unreal 4.14 which supposedly even has a new forward rendering path for VR, though not sure if it is meant just for desktop vr or for mobile too.I'm attempting to get antialiasing working on a Galaxy S6 with GearVR, but I've spent the past 2 days trying out all sorts of things and nothing makes a difference.Basically, I start with a blank project set to mobile + scalable graphics quality. Then I've tried the following. Always packing to Android ETC2:. default project settings (theoretically deferred path by default).. With the new forward rendering option.. Setting any combinations of the following console variables:   . r.MSAACount  . r.MSAACompositingSampleCount  . r.DefaultFeature.Antialiasing  . r.MobileOnChipMSAA  . r.MobileMSAA  . r.MobileContentScaleFactor  . gearvr.EnableMSAANothing seems to enable anti aliasing. I also posted this on SO, gamedev SE, Unreal AnwerHub and the Unreal forums. and no one has replied anything other t

In Unity I'm trying to add a laser appear out of index finger when player points, but I can't figure out how to select the tip of the index finger. Is transform.Find("hands:b_l_index_ignore") the only way? Because in that case I have to SetActive(true) on all children, do the Find, then SetActive(false) on all children again. I guess would work, but there has to be a better way that I missed?

Email invites for alpha channel test users don't seem to be working. Is there a known issue with these?

I'm trying to add haptic feedback to Touch Controllers in my game but I'm completely stuck on how to do that.  I've read all the documentation provided by Oculus which recommends several different methods, the most recent of which relies on playing OVRHapticsClips. My problem is that Unity freezes when trying to create any OVRHapticsClip.  It doesn't just error, the entire program stops responding the same as when stuck in an infinite loop. Are there any examples of code to play haptic feedback on the Touch controllers?  Or is there a limitation on the type of audioclip that can be used to create an OVRHapticsClip?

Hi all,Do you know if it is at all possible to start learning Unity3D programming for VR without actually having an Oculus Rift?I cannot afford to buy one for myself personally, but would like to practice Unity development for VR so that I could apply for such jobs.Is that possible? Do you know of any series of tutorials that could be followed for VR programming without actually having an HMD?Thank you,

Hi guys:   I'm a newcomer for UE4,want to  build a application on oculus rift with UE4 , is there any useful tutorial recommend?   thanks~

Hi,Just move to the new platform SDK (1.9.0) and set up the LaunchInvitableUserFlow(). However when the overlay activates the input is still being sent to the game.I think this is because the game needs to run in background so is not paused when the overlay activates and the input is being read. What I am wondering is if there is a callback or notification that is triggered when the Oculus overlay shows/ dismisses?

It looks like my camera on the Oculus mirror (displaying on my desktop) is shifted 200 pixels up and to the left for some reason. How can I get it back to being centered like it is in the headset (which looks fine)?Anyone know if there's a way to customize your mirror settings or camera configurations? Thanks!

Hi there, I'm now doing Oculus integration for my project and not able to find a way to implement in-game login in all those best practices. What I wanna achieve is that when user fails entitlement check, we'll give him/her another chance to login. Anyone got idea on this? Thanks in advance.

Hi!It seems like there's no subscription support, right? What workaround do you suggest in this case? just simulate it with a consumable item? any hints/pitfalls on this? Thanks

Hello! I'm having some issues with including the now required entitlement checks in my UE4 project.I am following the steps outlined here: https://developer3.oculus.com/docume...m-walkthrough/ 1. I've went into the DefaultEngine.ini file and added the necessary code as shown below, replacing the "OculusAppID" with my own App ID.[OnlineSubsystem]DefaultPlatformService=Oculus[OnlineSubsystemOculus]bEnabled=trueOculusAppId="123456789012345"2. I then went into the GAME_NAME.Build.cs file (replacing game_name with my project name) and added the lineDynamicallyLoadedModuleNames.Add("OnlineSubsystemOculus");3. I then added the code "#include "Online.h" to my project's header file4. Lastly, I added the entitlement check (as shown below) to run when the project first launches.Online::GetIdentityInterface()->GetUserPrivilege(*Online::GetIdentityInterface()->GetUniquePlayerId(0),EUserPrivileges::CanPlay,IOnlineIdentity::FOnGetUserPrivilegeCompleteDelegate::CreateLambda([](const FU

Recently, I logged out of my normal Oculus home account and into another in order to test entitlement checks.  After logging out and back into my normal account, I found that my touch controllers were no longer tracking position, only rotation.  I tried replacing batteries, forgetting the devices, and resetting sensor tracking, but when I got to the screen where I was asked to hold my touch controller at eye level and press the trigger, I would get the error "we couldn't save your position."  I have 3 sensors arrayed around me, and the same configuration got past this stage fine in previous setup attempts.  The only warning I saw on any of my devices was a recommendation to update my USB drivers; having now done so, they're all green and show no warnings.  Neither restarting Oculus from the beta menu or restarting the computer helped.  Is there a known issue with switching accounts?  Any suggestions on fixing my calibration setup?  Here's my conf

Hi, I'm about to get a laptop to both demo and develop VR content. As a general rule I can see that maxing out most specs will make sense- the big thing I'm trying to decide though is whether to get a system with one or two GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards. I want it to work well right now but also be somewhat futureproof- it would cost more and I'm willing to make the investment if it will lead to a substantial gain but not if it won't. Any advice much appreciated.

I've seen a lot of similar questions in the Unity section, but I couldn`t find a solution. Also I`m pretty new to this, so please keep in mind that I`m not an expert. I`m using Unity 5.4.1f1, Oculus Utilities 1.9 and the CV1.What I want: I want to basically stream motion capturing data to Unity and use my CV1 as (just) a screen. -> Only using mocap data for position & orientation.I want to achieve that with the best possible performance. My application should allow the user to juggle with kegs or catch balls. Nothing too crazy. What I`ve tried: Seems like turning off Oculus support and use the CV1 als second screen resolts in a bad experience. Writing a script to cancel out the CV1 tracking data and set it as parent of the camera results in a lot of unnecessary traffic. My Question(s):Most of the stuff I read was older than 6 months. Is there a way now to turn of sensors/tracking data or select it? Can I achieve what I want in Unity? Can I achieve what I want outside of Unity? ->

Hi,I noticed the 1.9 runtime is currently being rolled out.  Any word on the 1.9 SDK release date?  Curious to play around with the OculusTRCValidator announced at OC3.Thanks!Vicki

I am developer and I need to use DK1.  Version of SDK is 0.8.0.?. I use Oculus World Demo. Sometimes app works fine, but only first time I start it. Reboot - start program - it works, start it again - it doesn't work.I've tried to start/stop/restart the service and process OVRServer_x64. Switching off and switching on once helped me: when I disconned miniusb, switched off the box by pressing on real button on it, and disconnected the "power-wire". I can not repeat this success. It gives me error "ovr_Initialize failure. fffff447 --"  with message "10/04/16 10:35:09: 10/04/16 10:35:09: [CAPI] LibOVR module is located at C:\Windows\system32\LibOVRRT64_0_8.dll" during debug in VS13.It gives me error "Unable to initialize rendering 0 --"with message "10/04/16 10:53:13: 10/04/16 10:53:13: [CAPI] LibOVR module is located at C:\Windows\system32\LibOVRRT64_0_8.dll10/04/16 10:53:13: 10/04/16 10:53:13: [IPC] Call Stats for SetInitialState : x1: C2S=19.2431, S2C=4.16934,
