I just bought a brand new meta quest 3s and there is no on screen set up menu popping up for me to enter in my wifi code, pair my controllers, etc. Nothing is appearing on screen, just the pass thru camera view. Headset is fully charged, new batteries in the controllers, I've held down the menu and meta buttons on both controllers, no screens pop up for me to set up my brand new quest 3s. I just spent $350 and my 10 year old has been crying all night because his brand new 3S wont do the initial 1st set up for him to play. Please Help if you can!!! I heard there is not a 1 800 technical support number to call either and talk to an actual human being so I'm trying on here. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you, Patrick

I bought a Oculus Quest 2 headset roughly a month ago, and I've run into a problem that I've been attempting to fix with no solution (so far, from me at least.)I boot up my Oculus Quest 2, my controllers work fine, everything work fine so far, I can connect, I can download, etc. I can also link to Meta Horizon, I can link to Steam. I can interact with my desktop on my PC. However, the problem start to occur when I try to boot up an application.I tried to boot up VR Chat from Oculus Home, my controllers still respond but my buttons do not work. I can press the Home button and it'll register, but I cannot interact with the game.I tried to boot up VR Chat from Meta Horizon application, my controllers once again respond but do not work. I boot up the Video Player as well, and my controllers still register, but their buttons can't be pressed to interact with VRChat, I have to quit by using the Home button. The last one was trying to use Steam Link/Steam VR, but once I get into those screens,
I am experiencing a casting issue with my Meta Quest 3 and would appreciate your assistance. I am located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). My Meta Quest 3 is updated to the latest software and works normally in all other aspects. However, I am unable to cast the headset's display to either the Meta Horizon app or the Meta casting website. Here are the details: • Device: Meta Quest 3 • Software: Latest version • Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE) • The Meta Horizon app detects the headset successfully. • When I tap Cast, the app displays "Headset found" followed by "Connecting may take up to 30 seconds." • The casting icon inside the headset turns red for a few seconds, indicating that casting has started. • After a few seconds, the casting session ends automatically, and no video appears on my iPhone or iPad. • I have tested casting on both an iPhone and an iPad using the Meta Horizon app, and the same issue occurs on both devices. • I have also tried ca

I noticed yesterday when using my Quest 3s via link cable model yesterday when playing VRChat that if I went AFK for more than 3 minutes and put the headset back on it would say my PC was disconnected when it wasn't... Meaning I would have to restart the headset and reenter link mode each time and was wondering if that is just a bug or I need to change a setting because never had this issue on my quest 2.
I am trying to connect my oculus quest (an old quest).I pass all the pages (appairing, connection to wifi, payment, language) but when I arrived to the security page it is blocked. I can not accept the security rules or validate the page. the setting is not finish and I can not use my quest. I reset the quest several times but notghing happend. What should I do ?
Headset is unable to connect to both my 5ghz and 2.4ghz wpa2 wifi networks since it got updated to the latest 2.6 PTC. It doesn't accept the wifi passwords anymore. Disabling the encryption (running my wifi as an open hotspot) makes it connect successfully but that's not a realistic long term solution.I always expected that eventually something will go wrong with PTC builds but a broken wifi is the worst thing that could have happened. If any of you guys are on 2.6 please share your working wifi connection details. Thanks!
I recently found a used Oculus Rift CV1 at a thrift shop, and it was confirmed to be working according to the sticker. Though when trying to go through the Meta Link setup process for it on my Acer Nitro V laptop, the headset and the sensors do register on the app, and the audio on the headset works, but the display itself is just blank. When searching around, this apparently seems to be a common issue when using this headset. But also, when asking about this on the Oculus subreddit, someone mentioned to me that it's apparently not possible to get wired VR headsets to work on a laptop without a mux switch to change the HDMI output, which the Nitro V doesn't have as far as I know.I wanted to know if this was actually true. I don't actually have any experience with using VR headsets so I didn't know that getting them to work on laptops would be kind of finicky like this. It wouldn't be a huge loss either way since I only paid about $30 for the complete headset, but I just wanted to know i
Hello,I’m having a serious issue with my Meta Quest 2.Yesterday, everything worked normally. However, today when I turned on my Quest 2, it could not connect to any Wi-Fi network.I have tried:My home Wi-FiMy iPhone hotspotForgetting and reconnecting to the networkRestarting the headsetForce restarting the headsetPerforming a factory resetNothing fixed the problem.Every time I enter the correct password, the headset briefly shows “Authenticating…”, then immediately says “Saved / Check your password”, even though the password is correct. My phone can connect to the same Wi-Fi and hotspot without any problems.Because I performed a factory reset, I am now stuck on the setup screen and cannot complete the initial setup since the headset cannot connect to any Wi-Fi network.Could you please help me resolve this issue? Is this a hardware problem, or is there another recovery method I can try?Thank you.
just got my oculus meta 3 and trying to set up using my computer as i have no smartphone the screen is on pair your headset with 3 commands and a 5 digit code. can't get any farther. any suggestions
I've factory reset my headset after this bug started happening last night, and no matter how I persist with it, I can never get my headset to play nice with my internet.Tried everything, made sure it's WPA2 and all that jazz, no results. I heard someone mention this happened on the beta release of the update, my headset is on build 5222268.2390.150, dating 20th July '26 if that helps. The strangest thing is that my mobile hotspot works just fine, it's only with my proper WiFi it struggles which is less than ideal considering I use virtual desktop to play on my main PC. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
I am unable to connect my Quest 2 with Horizon Link.Everything else on the system is setup correctly but when I try to connect with Meta Horizon Link as Administrator it gets to very nearly the end of the Setting Up Meta Horizon Link install and then fails with an error message that "Sorry we encountered an error during installation. Please restart your computer and try running Link setup again"I have tried this at least three times including removing all previous software according to information I gathered from YouTube videos on the subject.According to the YouTube videos, there is a simple solution, but so far, I haven't found it.
Hi, I usually don't have issues that I can't resolve with using the internet but this has got me.I play flight sims like IL2 or VTOL VR on SteamVR using Meta Horizon Link on my Quest 3.I start playing, about 5-10 mins go by, and then randomly the app freezes in my headset, and if I look around, I just see gridlines, like a weird geometric pattern all around my field of vision. Then I usually take my headset off and look at my screen, and the game is still tracking my head movement and controller movement. I put the headset back on, and it just shows passthrough, it wont go back into the game, even if I go back to the menu and click on Link again. It will just show passthrough and I can see my head and vision moving on the computer screen.I have tried a ton of fixes, beta mode, updating all software, GPU drivers, cooling my CPU more, changing resolution, closing apps when I play, waiting for more META updates, new link cable. One fix that works but sucks is I can use Air Link, but
Hello, my left quest 2 controller has tracking problems where if I remove it from my vision, it loses tracking and gets disconnected. I tried showing it on my vision and moving it upwards and then leftwards and then behind me and all instances it disconnects when I remove it from my vision and only connects when I get it into my vision again.I have tried:- removing the batteries from the controller, waiting for a few minutes (sometimes even holding buttons with no batteries so it drains better), then putting it back in.- unpairing it and pairing it- ensured that my headset OS is updated to the latest versioncan anyone help me if this is a software or a hardware problem,
Hi everyone,I'm hoping someone has run into this before because I'm running out of ideas. My setup:Headset: Meta Quest 3SPC: Ryzen 5 3600, Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB), 48 GB RAM}Router: ZTE (ISP-provided)PC connection: Ethernet}Quest connection: 5 GHz Wi-FiBoth devices are connected to the same router. The problem: When I open Air Link on my Quest, my PC simply doesn't appear in the list of available computers. However: USB Link works perfectly. The Meta Quest app on my PC recognizes the headset when connected with a cable. Steam Link also fails, saying that my PC and headset need to be on the same local network. Last week it worked fine, but when i went to play VRChat today, it failed me like thisThings I've already tried:Restarted the Quest, PC, Meta Quest app, and router.Confirmed the Windows network profile is set to Private.Allowed all Meta/Oculus services through Windows Firewall.I don't use any third-party antivirus.Verified that AP Isolation / SSID Isolation is disabled.Confirmed t
Okay, so.. UNFORTUNATELY.. huge emphasis on the unfortunately.. I had to switch back to my Meta Quest 2 because I no longer have my Valve Index. So I'm now using the PC app which now updated to the "Meta Quest Link" app or whatever. It makes my computer run slower and even when I end all the service tasks and everything OVR related in the task manager, it still makes my PC run slower and especially ROBLOX. Whenever I open a ROBLOX game now sometimes it doesn't even work "Failed to connect to game", or it takes like a minute to open. This is very frustrating as I've had these problems with the app before. I miss my Index.. anyways, help me out.
My kid’s Quest 3’s controllers say they’re paired but won’t connect or work and when I press any button on the controller, the light blinks three times and shuts off like I need to re-pair it. I’ve tried doing so 5 times, doing a factory reset and connecting off the WiFi.Batteries were also replaced and they show 100% on the app.
These problems started not long ago, 2 or 3 weeks at most, but the thing is, i cannot get my Quest3S to connect with a USB3 connection, link freezes or straight up won't load if im using USB3 ports, however the connection is stable on USB2 and i do not know why, airlink and steamlink work fine but i don't have a good wifi to do such AMD 7900XTthings i've tried:Format C: and reinstall windowsBIOS XCHI check (was never disabled)USB3 power management options check (always active)reinstall USB driversreinstall Meta linkFactory reset Quest3sswitching cables, using both the official short one (USBC - USBC) and third party ones, currently using the AMVR 5m one (the one i've been using since i got the quest3s)oculus debug tool options checknothing i've done seems to work, so any help would be greatly appreciated, returning them and refunding will be the absolute last option since im in mexico Versión de Meta Horizon Link 205.0.0.167.543 (205.0.0.167.543)
Hey, I've been using the meta link app for quite a few years now and one day (about 2 months ago) the app just stopped working and i was greeted with an infinite loading screen whenever i tried to connect my headset via link cable. same issue you've all heard before haha (and meta has done nothing to fix it!! of course!) I have tried:Rebooting my computer and headset. Flipping the cable upside down.Fully uninstalling and reinstalling the link app.Turning off my internet before starting a session.Blocking all meta related services from my firewall (results in the meta app saying "oh no i cant communicate to the servers pls help")Uninstalling and reinstalling the link app again. basically tried everything except factory resetting my headset (since i have recordings on there and im just too lazy to get them off there rn). if worse comes to worst, i will be forced to refund my headset for the sixth time.
I’ve reset both the meta quest 2 and my phone. Both are up to date on software. Removed app reinstalled it. Factory reset the quest 2 and still not able to use my VR. It’s stuck on the pairing setup screen. I also get this weird error on the app under headset setting.
i just built me a super-gamer and moving my old wired oculus rift to the new system. the headset connects to the meta hor link app but will not get past the 'continue setup in vr' screen. what next? is my old headset now a paperweight?
I restarted my Quest 2 in PCVR link mode because I was lagging randomly and that fixed it but now my right controller wont track but the buttons work and I tried every fix I've seen on YT but it is still busted anyone got a fix?
