Since updating my Quest 3 to v2.7, I’ve been having issues with the controllers while using Virtual Desktop for game streaming. If I leave the controllers idle for a while without touching them, they get marked as lost. Once this happens, I cannot wake them up again. The only fix is re-pairing them manually, and I have to pair one controller at a time. This is a really poor experience. Many users have reported this bug. When will this be fixed?
I've updated to the latest, non-beta for both the newly named 'Meta Horizon Link' software as well as the Quest 2 now on v83.0.The Meta Horizon Link software doesn't seem quite finished and ready for prime time.I have a persistent beam across the top of the app stating "New drivers are required for Meta Quest Link. Update now" - When I click "Update now", the app shuts but nothing more happens. I've waited several minutes thinking it might be doing something silently - it isn't.I then reopen the app which is a preceded by a 'Repair' screen. Getting back into the app, I see that same "Update now" button, click it but now it fails because the required services were stopped in the previous attempt.I restart the services and then the app, click the "Update now" button and we're back to point 1 with it closing the app and nothing happening.I've tried completely removing the app and its registry amends using Revo Uninstaller so I can completely start with a clean slate and the issue persists
I was using the official quest link cable to play PCVR and it was working fine. Next morning my PC can't connect to my headset via air link with the cable at all. I know the cable still works because it charges the headset if plugged into an outlet or other PC, but my headset wont even charge with the cable through my PC now. Nothing I have found online solved the problem. Air link will not recognize the pc over wifi either.
Hello, I’m using the Virtual Display app on my Quest 3 and I’ve noticed that the app currently does not expose any microphone input device to Windows. The Mixed Reality Link Audio Device appears for playback/output and works correctly, but the corresponding input device (“Mixed Reality Link Audio Device – Headset Microphone”) remains grayed out and marked as “Not plugged in.”The Oculus Virtual Audio Device shows a constant ~50% input level, but it does not capture any real audio when using Virtual Display. Microphone input only works when using Air Link (OVAD) or Steam Link (Steam Streaming Microphone). This suggests that Virtual Display does not yet implement microphone routing in the Mixed Reality Link pipeline.Virtual Display is my preferred way to use my PC in VR because of its mixed reality panels and hand‑tracking controls, which are much more convenient than Air Link or SteamVR. Adding microphone input support would make Virtual Display fully usable for voice chat, calls, and PC
I Just got this Q3S about a month ago and i been playing with It, this last week i went on a trip and left It on 0% charge the night before departure.I Just came back today and my Q3S Is totally unresponsive, nothing happens if i hold the Power button or attempt boot mode.I tried plugging It tò a Wall socket using a 20W charger (original One broke After like 10 days :/) but not even the charging LED turns on. : so i sent my controllers with my headset by accident because I miss read the instructions. I contacted support the next day to warn them. Then they received my headset on August 28, I got my headset like 12days later but my controllers are another story, all I get is excuses from their looking into it I think they lost themA multi-billion dollar company just lost my property and won't replace it. Can a moderator or someone at Meta please help?"
Hello,I am experiencing a serious wired Quest Link freezing issue with Meta Horizon Link v207.My setup:- Meta Quest 3S- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti- Wired USB Link- Meta Horizon Link PC version: 207.0.0.133.434- Game: DCS World- OpenXRThe issue:Meta Link connects normally and DCS initially works correctly. After I join a multiplayer server and the aircraft finishes loading, the image inside the Quest 3S freezes completely after approximately 5–15 minutes. The frozen image does not recover. I have to disconnect/reconnect Link and enter VR again.I have already tested:- Video Codec: Default- H.264- H.265- Encode bitrate: 300 Mbps- Encode bitrate: 450 Mbps- Restarting Oculus/OVR services- Restarting the PC and headsetH.265 is also unusable on my system because it causes severe stuttering even before launching DCS.None of these changes fixed the freezing problem.Important diagnostic information:I tested the same Quest 3S, the same PC, the same USB cable and the same DCS installation using Stea
On August 28 I updated to 2.7Before all tracking worked flawlessly, but after the update I often lose tracking for a bit whenever my hands are idle on my lap for a few seconds. The controllers become unresponsive for a moment and then start lagging behind before returning to normal and register grip and triggers being pressed (when they are not being touched)Noticed it first when playing No Mans Sky. Tested other PCVR games with same results and even when playing native Quest 3 it happens.Does anyone else have the same problem and maybe found a solution? So far I tried removing batteries for 30 seconds and resetting boundaries, without results.Tried finding the option to unpair my controllers, but could not find the option to do so.This started immediately after updating to 2.7Would appreciate if Meta could confirm whether this is a known issue.

Wondered if anyone on here could help, I've spent half an hour getting increasingly angry with the Meta "customer support".My son has a Quest 3S. He wants to buy a bundle/add-on for one of his games. He starts the process on his headset. It then says in the game "continue in the mobile app and follow the instructions to complete the purchase".I open the mobile app. There is a notifcation saying "tap to verify purchase". When I tap it, a white screen pops up and I receive a text message from my bank with a pin number to enter to approve the purchase. However, the relevant page on the app with the input box for the code will not load. There is no way for me to enter the pin number to complete the purchase.I tried going on the meta horizon store website via my PC and searching for the add-on via the website - this has got me around this issue the last time it happened, but this time, I can't find the relevant item on the webstore.I tried to contact Meta
Recently, I bought a used helmet secondhand, and after 4 weeks of active use, a gray screen started appearing when I turned the helmet on. The sound from opening the menu was there, and I could even hear the centering, but everything only worked when I enabled the demo from the Quest mobile app. The boot menu also worked, so I did a full reboot through it, but that didn’t help. Then I decided to reset it to factory settings, which also didn’t succeed. I had to leave the helmet gathering dust on the shelf for about two weeks, after which I took it out again, and lo and behold, everything was working properly again. My joy knew no bounds, but two days later, everything was back to that awful gray screen. Previously, I played both in standalone mode and via a cable using ALVR. If you ask why I didn’t take it to a service center or something like that, I’d like to note that I live in a country where the service sector isn’t very well developed, and repairing VR headsets isn’t very common —
As the title says I've been having a long occurring PCVR issue where the image in my headset, a quest pro, will freeze while all other data, being tracking and audio, works perfectly fine, this doesn't happen during steam links new beta that uses USB, though i have other issues with that app, so I'm certain the issue ISNT my cable or my portsi do run other programs but again, steam link didn't have an issue with them and neither did quest link pre v76, if anyone else has or had this issue please let me know what you did to fix it or how are you currently trying to combat it My specs are 4070s Ryzen 5 5600x32gb of ddr4 ramThe programs i run along side meta link are OBSSlimevr serverVoicemodSpace calibratorOVR advanced settingsSteamvrI've attached a video of the frozen in-headset image, whilst recording this everything was tracked fine on my monitor mirroring
Ever since my last update my celebrity voices are gone and only have 3 options for voice. I’m told this is location based in specific countries, I am in US and have lost this access. How do we get this back? I have uninstalled the meta app, I have set up my permissions to allow location… please help fix this.
I currently bought a meta quest 3s a few days ago, and then I tried to buy some games just to realized it wasn't processing the purchase but rather would show an notification that says "Request Not Completed We noticed something unusual and, for your security, this request couldn't be completed. Please try again later, or visit our Help Center." I've contacted their customer service but still hasn't got anything that solved my issue with this, is there anyone here who got a solution for this? I would appreciate it
Quest Pro face tracking hardware is more capable than the Face Tracking API we can access.Notmaster6 recently published Qpro-Enhanced-FT, which is open source on GitHub. It runs on Quest Pro hardware and adds two features the official API does not provide:- Eye convergence and divergence: independent per-eye gaze rays, so eyes can visibly cross or diverge. The tracker already resolves this internally; the API hands back gaze data that flattens it out.- Tongue tracking: tongue position derived from the two lower-face cameras via a stereo model. To be clear about what's being asked: we do not want raw camera access. Everyone here knows why Meta will not ship that, and privacy is a legitimate reason to say no. The request is for the same kind of data the current Face Tracking API already provides - derived, abstracted tracking data - only with the channels that are currently withheld:- Tongue blendshapes as additional Face Tracking API channels.- Per-eye gaze rays instead of a combined res
HiSince two days ago I can't connect to my desktop using meta link usb-c. I can connect via wifi. And when I plug the usb-c cable I can surf the quest system file from the pc so I guess the cable is OK and the quest usb-c port is ok. But I have tried with different cables and other computers with the same result. I have done a factory reset in the quest 3 and same result. So, if i can see the the meta quest 3 files from the pc I guess there is no problem in the computers, cable or quest 3. Then what happens? Please help
Since a few days I have had the issue that every time I start a game the link works fine for about 5-10 Min but then the picture freezes and stays like that. Hello Meta Team, My name is Stephen *****, inventor from Nairobi, Kenya. I have invented a new Meta phone ecosystem: 1. META BOOK: Focus Foldable - Outer: Large 9-widget focus screen + physical titanium QWERTY + 3 cameras with flash (like iPhone 17 style but 3 in a row) - Inner: Single large screen (like iPad, not double phones) - OS: Outer = 9 focus widgets (time, calendar, messages, notes, camera, calculator, health, settings, clock). Inner = full phone. - Special: 5-second calendar entry, handwriting fonts that convert to text, unified Meta Social inbox. 2. META WEB: Full titanium phone with Side Dynamic Island (titanium strip like web) 3. BREAKTHROUGH FEATURE: Private Ghost Typing Mode - META BOOK pairs with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses - User types on physical keyboard - Text shows ONLY inside glasses (AR), outer screen does NOT show content for 100% privacy. This solves air-typing and privacy problems. I have full designs ready. Requesting
Hi everyone, i hope everyone is doing ok!I seem to have encountered an error, today i turned on my Quest 3, and discovered that the browser app does not even do anything, i click it but no partial opens, no bar icon, nothing. I tried erasing the updates, then updating again, then rebooting the headset, erasing the browser's storage, changing permissions and a combination of every of those. Last thing i did on the headset was looking at my webxr site. I don't want to factory reset my headset. Help is appreciated!!!
Hello everyone, First of all, I hope that the translator works reasonably well and that my post is understandable. The day before yesterday, I wanted to use my Meta Quest 3, but unfortunately, apart from the fan running continuously, nothing else works. There is no response when I try to turn on the headset (which is sad because it is almost new, less than 3 weeks of operating time) and it was also permanently stuck in one position. ☹The headset and screen remain black, the fan runs continuously (you can hear it), and it does not respond to the on/off switch. Even when I connect the headset to the computer, nothing is recognized.I tried a “hard” reset (power on and volume down button). Unfortunately, the fan only stops spinning briefly (approx. 1-2 seconds) and that's it. Somehow, it seems to me as if the software is missing or the bootloader is stuck somewhere and can no longer load anything (although it should actually be recognized by a watchdog?).As mentioned above, the headset
The quest was fine before to make a break to drink some water but suddenly when ive tryed to put them on was a black screen and the fan was bloowing.. I attempt to do a hard reset (hold power button for 10 seconds) and the fan stops for a second and then starts running again immediately but still no display.ive tried to clam for warranty but its very har dto find the right link in the meta. Its like they dont want you to send the device to warranty. I bought it from amazon and when im trying to request the warranty im receiving a messsage that the account is not asssociated witn no device but that is not thrue because i registered the device with exactly the account that im connected on the facebook..Ive played maybe 10 hours. So basically its still new.Very dessapointed of the meta support....Does someone can help me please?
I'm really disappointed that I wasted $400 on a Rift S just for it to become a paper-weight since I don't want to use Windows on my computer. I have no clue why a multi-billion dollar company can't afford to support more than one operating system.I'm by no means expecting perfect support with no performance issues or hiccups on the less popular OS's, but having the headset be COMPLETELY UNUSABLE is not at all excusable. Just let me use the headset, and I'll do the optimizing myself. It's pretty embarrassing that Valve, a company valued at $8 billion, can comfortably support Linux and Windows almost flawlessly on their headsets, but Oculus, which is owned by Meta, a company valued at $572 billion can only support Windows.I understand the tone may seem harsh, but as someone who spent $400 dollars on the thing, I should have the right to use it on whatever computer I see fit even with less than desirable performance.
been in a endless loops for almost 4 months with support, cant make any app purchases for my quest 3 via their website, phone app or through the quest 3, even with my quest cash, been through the support loops countless times, also to try resolve it myself to see if i could find any work around with no success, cant even use my quest or any other payment method."We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this. I know that three months is a long time to deal with an unresolved issue, and we do not take that lightly. Please know that our team is actively investigating and escalating this matter to ensure it is resolved as quickly as possible."endless loop same updates, once every 2-3 weeks they say its fixed, but its never fixed, nothing changes, they even said in one response they added credit to my account as an apology."To show our appreciation for your understanding during this delay, we have added A$50 to your Meta Store Credits. You can use this balance
My right Quest 3 controller became completely unresponsive immediately after using Link and then charging the headset. It is stuck flashing SOS, has no vibration, is not detected by the headset, and cannot be reset or repaired.I’ve already tried fresh batteries, resets, and repairing with no success. This controller was in excellent condition. No drops, no physical damage, and very lightly used. The failure happened during normal operation.I contacted support and was told the device is out of warranty, so no replacement would be provided, even though this appears to be a firmware or hardware failure rather than wear or damage. I’m now being asked to pay for a replacement despite what happened.I’m posting to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and whether there’s a path to getting this reviewed, as this controller is now completely unusable.
