I’m currently working on a VR teleoperation demo for controlling a robot, using Node.js for WebXR development. Due to some project constraints, we are focusing on achieving the following features:Stereo Vision in VR: We want to display the robot's stereo camera feed in a first-person VR view. Specifically, we want to show different images for the left and right eyes:For the left eye, display the image captured by the robot's left camera. For the right eye, display the image captured by the robot's right camera. In addition, we want to have a few status indicators (lights) in the VR environment. We are currently referencing the WebXR First Steps demo to achieve this. However, we’re encountering difficulty when trying to display different images for each eye. Does anyone have suggestions or best practices on how to achieve this stereo view in WebXR?XR Mode with Passthrough: We also want to implement passthrough for the non-plane areas of the XR environment while displaying the stereo images

I have installed latest Meta XR Simulator (1.17.10) coming with the 71.0.0 package using Unity Package Manager and I can't close the Release Notes popup window as shown in the image attached. Close Button does not react to clicks. This blocks the whole Simulator window.

I'm getting a strange error in Unity when I upgrade the Meta XR Core SDK package to 69.0.1 from v59ArgumentException: Path cannot be the empty string or all whitespace.Parameter name: pathSystem.IO.Directory.GetParent (System.String path) (at <17d9ce77f27a4bd2afb5ba32c9bea976>:0)OVRProjectConfig.ComputeOculusProjectAssetPath (System.String assetName) (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.core@69.0.1/Editor/OVRProjectConfig.cs:217)OVRProjectConfig.ComputeOculusProjectConfigAssetPath () (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.core@69.0.1/Editor/OVRProjectConfig.cs:240)OVRProjectConfig.GetOrCreateProjectConfig () (at ./Library/PackageCache/com.meta.xr.sdk.core@69.0.1/Editor/OVRProjectConfig.cs:246)Have anyone else got the same error?I used both the Meta XR All In One SDK and Core individually and the same error occurs.I am using Unity 2022.3.16 but also upgraded to the latest LTS 2022.3.52 with the same result.

Dear Meta Avatar team.I(we) tried the Meta Avatar Multiple Player Building Blocks and it does not work with ANY Meta Avatar package above 24.1.1 for both the Unity Multiplayer and the Photon Fusion versions. If you follow this tutorial from Valem, note that at 14:14 when he presses play, you see the Local and Remove Avatar spawn.  I too can achieve this with the Meta Avatars 24.1.1 but anything newer the local and remote avatars do not appear.  To test yourself create a fresh project with Unity 2022.3.x and the All in one SDK 65.0.0 and Meta Avatars 24.1.1 just like the linked tutorial.  Drag the Camera Rig, Auto Matching and the Network Avatar into the scene once for Fusion install and another for the Unity Multiplayer version and both times press play. Note the local and remote avatars appear as expected and as seen on the tutorial. Then update the Meta Avatars to anything newer than 24.1.1, press play and note the local and remote avatar does not appear.  Yo

Need access to the logged in user's UUID/Username for an app I'm working on. Trying to prototype something using the Spatial SDK + Platform SDK. Was wondering if that API's exposure is in the works at all. Thanks!

In Unity, I normally cache any GetComponent() if I plan on using it within the Update().  Is the OVRInput.Get similar?  Everyone online seems to just put code like OVRInput.Get(OVRInput.RawButton.X) directly in Update() and even inside their IF statements.  Is this the recommended method for performance?  Is the OVRManager handling everything and I just need to call the OVRInput.Get and not worry about it.  What about if I am using that OVRInput.Get in multiple if statements in my script?  Should I assign the OVRInput.Get as a boolean at the beginning of the Update() and then use that in my script or would that only really help readability but not have an impact on performance? Thanks!

Dear guys,It seems a bug for bodytracking in Unreal engine 5.3.2. 1. I download the demo from oculus sample github (unity + unreal) and test them.https://github.com/oculus-samples/Unreal-Movementhttps://github.com/oculus-samples/Unity-Movement2. build the unreal and unity sample for bodytracking and install them in the oculus quest3.  Open Apps and they all works smoothly. 3. Sleep and wake up the headset.Unreal version : I found the tracking body is very laggy but the controller play very smooth. After about 30s, it will work well. In the picture, you could found the hand cannot attach to the controller. unity version: It recover in ~2s without waiting for a long time.  I try to print the log for the tick event. Body tracking API （GetBodyState(FOculusXRBodyState& outOculusXRBodyState, float WorldToMeters)）return the same skeleton position value within a short period of time, which results in the body cartoon not playing smoothly.

Well it seems Unreal's support for processing manifests is as bad as Unity's....Trying to upload a build, get the following error: It seems you can only ADD permissions via UE5 project settings, so I do that to produce the following: The offending permissions should be removed, but it seems they're not. What's going on?Thanks!

We've run into an issue when testing our IAP purchase flow.  Up until this week, when we'd click on an In-App purchase (durable level addon), it would open the Meta App Lap Purchase window, where it would give a price and ask to purchase or cancel, then ask for PIN.  This was great for testing functionality. Now, when we click on the IAP purchase, the Purchase flow just automatically succeeds and the level gets purchased without prompting with the Purchase Flow window (no confirm purchase, no pin).  This happens even after removing the Test Users IAP entitlements. If we turn off the "Inherit organizations entitlements", then the purchase flow just fails with the test user - doesn't even pop up the window.Has anyone else noticed a change in the IAP Checkout flow functionality starting this week?   It would be nice to test the checkout flow with our test users before releasing our updates.

Unity Version 2022.3.40f1Meta XR Interaction SDK Version 69.0.2I am currently using hand tracking with a Grabbable interactable. The interactable is a gun that I do not want the player to be able to drop so I use ForceSelect on spawn to bring the gun to the players hand. I want the player to be able to swap hands by grabbing the handle of the gun so I have a second mirrored Hand Grab Interactive with both max interactors set to 1. The main Grababble script is also set to max grab points 1.I can grab the gun with my left hand and swap fine. It is when I then grab the gun back from my left hand when the Grabbable then gets set to world point zero, and my gun objec moves around on a pivot from world zero. The only way to fix this is to open the oculus menu then resume, the gun then teleports into the hand it should be in.I reset the local position and rotation of my grabbables because they break when the application loses focus and start pivoting from world zero. This fix works for when I

Good morning,  I'm having an issue with my Oculus controller where the B button becomes unresponsive unless the controller detects that my hand is holding it. This happens even if the controller is turned on and functional for other buttons or actions. Here is what I observed: - Button B works perfectly when the hand is detected on the controller.- If I remove my hand or hold the controller in a way that is not detected as "hand held", the B button stops working. When my hand moves towards or away from the controller, an event is triggered in the console: XrEventDataInteractionProfileChanged. This event seems to influence how interactions are handled, particularly regarding the B button on the controller stopping working. This appears to be related to a change in the controller's interaction profile, which is detected and managed by the system. I'm looking to understand why this event interferes with the functionality of the button and how I could control or disable this

if I setup body tracking (using just hands, or just controllers) - it's working fine.can't make 1 hand - just hand, and second - controller simultaneously.(if I grab controllet by one of my real hands - second stopped tracking immidiately) I tryied solution https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFlEnfOG6FUwhich if working if I just do tracking hands (no body). But not working for body tracking. Does anybody did body tracking by controller and hand simultateously?

I'm preparing to submit my Quest app but as usual, I'm dealing with getting through Android permission. I get the usual external storage and microphone permissions but those are somewhat easy to find the source by searching for "Microphone." fields in Unity. In fact, most seem to come from Oculus' Platform scripts. The permission that I can't seem to figure out the source is ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION.My project doesn't include any external packages nor is attempting to access photos or file metadata. I'm aware that I'm able to remove permissions by hand through Android studio but the issue with this solution is that since I'm not sure where the source of the permission comes from, I'd be open to getting a bug on the app at some point by simply removing this permission. Does anyone know what sorts of classes prompt Unity to add this permission or its source? Are there any solutions other than to simply remove the permission request from the manifest after building th

Dear Devs, I'm struggling with problem since a week. I use PUN 2 and Photon Voice to bring Meta Avatars 2 in a multiplayer environment. Below are my issues,1. When there is no Photon Voice setup in the scene, the Meta Avatars lipsync works perfect in the Photon multiplayer room.2. When I add the Photon Voice to the prefab and setup the scene with Photon Voice Network, only the voice is there the Meta Avatars lipsync does not work.  I understand there is a race condition happening between these two plugins.  Please kindly help me resolve if anyone has already resolved such problem. This thread can help other devs as well in the future. Thanks!

"Upgraded" from PICO 4 to QUEST 3.  I want use it mainly for viewing my 3D stereo home videos and photos, and I got truly amazed, feel cheated. IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT META DOESN'T PROVIDE A PROPER FILE TRANSFER TOOL FOR ITS 700 EURO HEADSET IN 2024! With the Pico I am using the Android File Transfer app on Macbook.  Just plug a USBC cable from the Pico to the Macbook and - boom - the Pico's file system appears on the screen and you can start moving entire folders up and down. Yes, I could use SideQuest to upload my more than 4000 files to the new Quest headset - one by one.  What is it that the PICO developers could solve but META could not. Am I alone with this problem?  Or am I missing something?

Hi there! My application has been reviewed (AppLab). And it's Approved. But I haven't set a release date yet.Now I want to upload a new version of the build for release, also i want to change description, link to webpage, .... How to do this? Because I can't create a new "submission" and I can't change the current one

Unless I've overlooked it there's no information on which GLTF extensions are supported (if any). This is fairly critical info for planning workflows and interoperability with other tools.

Hello,I've been having some trouble getting passthrough to work in my simple project. My project is just one UI panel with a few buttons and an input field on it. It works fine in VR. However, I haven't managed to get any of my content to actually display if I add an OVR Passthrough Layer component to either the Camera rig parent or the CenterEyeAnchor itself. I've tried overlay and underlay setting and I've tried adding 3d objects to the scene too to insure that it isn't just an issue with the canvas. When I run the app like this on Quest 3, it shows in passthrough mode but the UI is not visible. If I aim my controllers, I can see them interacting with UI elements and if I select the input field the system keyboard appears, so it is all existent and working, it just isn't displaying properly/at all. I've checked all the settings that make sense to me including looking at all the settings on OVRCameraRig, but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions? Or does anyone have a sample Unit

I was curious if this is related to (this) Meta? I woke up to a lot of declined card charges and they all say "Meta Pay" on them . Not sure if anyone else has the same? Or if this is a different Meta altogether. (I've locked my card)

I am reading this post : https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/spatial-sdk/spatial-sdk-tooling-castinputforward/3rd pointer it says: "Select the input forward icon while inside of your app to enable Input Forwarding!"I ran the sample project (https://github.com/meta-quest/Meta-Spatial-SDK-Samples/tree/main/HybridSample) from android studio to my Meta Quest 2 headset and I don't see any icon with "Input Forward" written over it. I have installed MQDH v5.0.1 on my PC.

Man, there are so many absolutely basic questions like this that aren't answered anywhere. It boggles my mind. Anyway, in the Meta XR Interaction SDK, how to do I turn off the "grabbability" on a grabbable? Like, if the player puts a grabbable peg in a hole, and I want to prevent them from taking it back out, how do I make it so they can't grab it anymore?

Why no stereo audio capture on Quest 3? Is it perhaps because aliens have infiltrated the company and are writing software that combines the two channels for some twisted plot to destroy the galaxy? Its the only explanation MetaStoreHelpStream #0:0[0x1](eng): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, mono, fltp, 64 kb/s (default)

As the 3s does not have an Aux port.  What are the options for headphones? Can the 3s connect to Bluetooth Headphones or can I use USC-C Headphones plugged directly in?  Thank you 🙌
